[00:00:00] Liquor Talk for the last time in 2024 starts right now. Welcome on, welcome everybody to another edition of the Liquor Talk Podcast on the MBG Podcast Network, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, wherever you get your podcasts at. This is the last men's round for 2024 and the last episode we're doing in 2024 as well.

[00:00:26] So we hope we thank you everybody for joining us because we done had some highs, we done had some lows and we're going to talk about it on this episode. So pour up a drink and let's talk about it. But before we do that, we got some new fellas to join in. So let me holler at my dog. He's about that money. He's about that money, ladies and gentlemen, about saving that money. Mr. Anthony Waller, about that Waller podcast. How you doing today, man?

[00:00:52] I'm doing good, Victor. Thank you so much for having me on the show.

[00:00:56] No problem.

[00:00:59] For those of you who are new to me, the About That Wallet show is about helping the sandwich generation build strong financial habits where we go over helping you build that confidence and spending money, talking about money and enjoying your money.

[00:01:13] Yes, sir. Yes, sir. We definitely need to hear more of that.

[00:01:17] Also, Mr. Leonard, the host, the man behind the National Black Guy podcast network.

[00:01:22] Also, I want to say thank you for allowing me to share liquor talk on your podcast network, man.

[00:01:28] I highly appreciate it.

[00:01:30] So I want to tell people about the National Black Guy podcast network.

[00:01:33] Sure. So the National Black Guy podcast network is really based off of my main business, National Black Guy, where we promote black businesses, events, social news, injustices, all that.

[00:01:45] And, you know, really with the MBG podcast network, we wanted to provide the same.

[00:01:50] And I mean, we're working to it, but we want to provide the same services as some of these larger podcast network has that, to be honest, a lot of these white people have access to.

[00:01:59] So, you know, collaboration efforts, marketing efforts, support, and, you know, really help quality podcasts grow because, you know, a lot of times, I'm sure, you know, the podcast that gets the most attention aren't always the best ones and the best ones don't always get the most attention.

[00:02:16] So, you know, we want to kind of elevate a lot of our podcasts that speak to our black voices.

[00:02:24] Yes, I definitely agree because that was my motivation for joining, by the way, because it's like we got to find a way to get our voices out there.

[00:02:32] And by any means necessary, because we've got to be in 2025 and we got to get our voices out there because I don't know what it is about the podcast scene, but people just enjoy the mess.

[00:02:44] They do. Well, you know, like I'll tell you, it's funny.

[00:02:47] I mean, people, people love to argue about relationships all day long.

[00:02:51] And Victor, I'm sure, you know, I listened to a couple of your shows, but all the relationship conversations are the same conversations over and over like 50-50.

[00:03:02] You know, the 90-day rule.

[00:03:04] I mean, it's, you know, I mean, it's almost funny how, you know, anybody can get up there and be a relationship expert just repeating what they hear.

[00:03:15] They can repeat what they hear, but you run into them in real life and it's something totally different.

[00:03:21] And Anthony, I know you talk about finances and relationships.

[00:03:24] I already know that half these people, they're not living what they're saying.

[00:03:28] Right. That's true.

[00:03:30] I mean, remember the snapshot of what people are putting out there.

[00:03:34] It's a snapshot.

[00:03:35] It's supposed to look pretty.

[00:03:36] It's supposed to look appealing.

[00:03:38] I mean, not all the time you want to put out the bad things.

[00:03:40] Like, to me personally, I don't want to see somebody up in the hospital with tubes all over the body.

[00:03:45] I mean, that's just me.

[00:03:47] But again, it's part of everyday life.

[00:03:50] Even though we don't want to see it, we don't have to see it.

[00:03:53] And that's the beauty of social media.

[00:03:55] You can fine tune in on which way you want it.

[00:03:58] And if you don't like this podcast, go to another one.

[00:04:00] It's okay.

[00:04:02] For real.

[00:04:03] And I wish people would understand that because you're wasting time leaving a negative post on my podcast.

[00:04:12] All you're doing is just bringing attention to my podcast, to my platform, to where other people who might be in tune with the message, who can get it and comprehend it, they might get it.

[00:04:25] And sometimes all you got to do if you don't agree with something is just keep scrolling.

[00:04:29] How hard is that?

[00:04:31] Right.

[00:04:33] That simple.

[00:04:34] It really is that simple.

[00:04:36] But people love to make something out of nothing.

[00:04:39] So, Anthony, going back to you for a second, what was your motivation behind starting the About the Wallet podcast?

[00:04:47] Well, my motivation to start this was because, one, was that I wasn't really talked to about money.

[00:04:56] I mean, you've heard your parents talk about it, but my mom, she would say, hi, money, like money.

[00:05:02] Or like paper, really.

[00:05:04] So, at Treaty of Mour, she told me how to put money away in various spaces in the house.

[00:05:09] And then I was like, oh, yeah, you feel surprised that you had an extra $20 and a pair of jeans that you haven't worn in a long time.

[00:05:15] That's great.

[00:05:16] But what else?

[00:05:18] Like, and so as I got in order, I just kind of felt like there was so much about money that I didn't know.

[00:05:24] As far as even just taking a moment to invest in the company's stocks, the company 401k.

[00:05:31] Then going beyond just investing in the company.

[00:05:34] But what is it about those fees that the company actually have to offer?

[00:05:38] So, for those sort of people who are students, like, because I was growing up, my undergrad was actually an elementary educator.

[00:05:45] So, the only plans that were available at that time was a 403B.

[00:05:49] So, I had one.

[00:05:50] I didn't know what it was.

[00:05:52] It was just like, hey, as long as you work here, you're getting money thrown into it.

[00:05:55] I was like, okay, thanks.

[00:05:57] But not understanding that the fees that were behind it were actually a lot greater than if I were to do it as a self-directed IRA.

[00:06:04] And so, as I'm getting older, shifting my financial strategies into a way that kind of best suits me, because personal finance is personal.

[00:06:15] This is the reason why I constantly do this show.

[00:06:17] The reason why I continuously bring on different guests that are, I guess you could say, looked up towards in their particular expertise in that particular field in finance.

[00:06:30] So, bringing the show together is really for me to actually get free information from people who charge thousands of dollars from paying these services.

[00:06:41] I'm talking lawyers.

[00:06:43] You got attorneys.

[00:06:43] I talked to life insurance brokers.

[00:06:48] These people charge top dollar just to kind of do a one-on-one for even an hour.

[00:06:53] And I have them on my show for maybe an hour and a half.

[00:06:56] So, I'm giving all the free games that you can get, I mean, that you'll typically have to pay for.

[00:07:02] So, why not come to the show and listen to them and get some info?

[00:07:06] Yes.

[00:07:07] You know what?

[00:07:07] And that's what we need.

[00:07:08] We need more of that because us black folks, we go through money like it's water.

[00:07:13] And there's a reason why so many other communities, they want to put their business in the black community because guess what?

[00:07:22] We're going to be right there spending our money instead of saving our money for the future and the future generation.

[00:07:28] So, I really do commend you on keeping that platform going.

[00:07:32] Now, come back to you, Mr. Leonard.

[00:07:35] Yes, sir.

[00:07:36] What kind of shows can people listen to on the network outside of Liquor Talk, of course?

[00:07:41] Yeah.

[00:07:41] So, outside of Liquor Talk, I mean, we really do have some great shows.

[00:07:44] And if we talk about variety, so, and I just started with myself.

[00:07:49] So, me and one of my partners, we have a show called News and Trends.

[00:07:53] And basically, every week we talk about some of the top black issues are, whether it's somebody walking their dog and getting accosted by a Karen.

[00:08:06] Or we talk about there was a guy in Detroit who, and it's so crazy, he won a lawsuit for discrimination from a bank.

[00:08:16] And he takes his check that he won from a lawsuit to the bank, and they discriminate him against him the second time.

[00:08:22] So, you know, we talk about a lot of social justice issues, a lot of news, you know, some entertainment topics as well.

[00:08:30] So, of course, you know, Diddy has been getting a lot of talk for weeks and weeks now.

[00:08:34] So, that's one of the shows.

[00:08:35] Other than that, we have, we actually have a black true crime show.

[00:08:39] And I think this is kind of interesting because this is narrated by an AI voice.

[00:08:46] So, I mean, if people listen to it, you may or may not be able to tell.

[00:08:50] But, you know, once you figure it out, you know, it's kind of obvious.

[00:08:54] But other shows we have, we also have a show on business.

[00:08:58] So, if there are specifically black women in business, show for that.

[00:09:03] We also have an open dialogue show called Talk to Me, Michelle by Michelle Tompkins, which is very funny.

[00:09:12] And Victor, I almost kind of compare it to your show.

[00:09:14] So, she covers some of everything, trends, topics.

[00:09:18] Other than that, we have some inspirational shows.

[00:09:21] We have two inspirational shows.

[00:09:23] One that has great stories.

[00:09:26] And it does have a religious vibe to it.

[00:09:30] But, you know, it's funny because stories of inspiration, like when you hear some people's stories, no matter what religion, denomination, anything like that, you know, they just kind of speak to you.

[00:09:41] We also have a couple upcoming shows.

[00:09:44] So, we have a show.

[00:09:46] There's a lady who does celebrity interviews.

[00:09:49] And they're not always current celebrities.

[00:09:52] They're celebrities from the past.

[00:09:54] So, for instance, she had, and I can't remember his first name, but who played the last dragon, the black guy.

[00:10:01] I can't remember what his name is right now.

[00:10:03] Bruce Leroy?

[00:10:04] Yes.

[00:10:05] Yes, yes.

[00:10:05] Oh, good one.

[00:10:07] Good catch.

[00:10:08] Good boy.

[00:10:09] So, we have some other great shows.

[00:10:11] We have a couple of new shows coming.

[00:10:12] We have one that's going to talk about kind of like the stories behind some of our favorite artists and the songs that they sang.

[00:10:20] As well as we have one coming up, too, where they talk about kind of like career, career talk.

[00:10:25] You know, talking about how to get hired, what companies are looking for, what, you know, job seekers are looking for, and kind of how that comes together.

[00:10:35] That's amazing.

[00:10:37] Those are some great shows that we definitely got to tap into as well.

[00:10:41] And also, I definitely saw the forum where we can fill out and network with other co-mingle as well.

[00:10:47] So, I'd love to feature some of them on.

[00:10:49] And also, it's interesting that you mentioned the AI voice because we talked about that.

[00:10:54] I think somebody at Afros and Audios mentioned that as well, the whole AI thing.

[00:10:59] Yeah, that was one of the breakout sessions where the lady had the AI person.

[00:11:05] You know which one I'm talking about, right?

[00:11:06] Yeah.

[00:11:07] So, she had the animated one, right?

[00:11:10] Yeah.

[00:11:11] Jerome or something?

[00:11:11] Jerome.

[00:11:12] Yeah, Jerome.

[00:11:13] Okay.

[00:11:14] And I thought of that.

[00:11:15] I'm like, I wonder if it's something like that.

[00:11:18] So, a little bit.

[00:11:19] Well, you know, funny, the story behind it was when I started the network.

[00:11:22] So, of course, you know, I had the podcast that me and my partner were doing.

[00:11:26] And I was like, you know what?

[00:11:28] I was like, before anybody would join the network, like, I need to have like three or four podcasts on here.

[00:11:33] Because, you know, Victor, if you look at MBG Network Podcast Network and there was only one podcast on there, you know, you might think a little different.

[00:11:41] So, I was trying to think of how can I get more podcasts on here without me trying to, you know, kill myself.

[00:11:48] So, when I came across the AI voice and I came across the black, you know, true crime, black true crime.

[00:11:55] And when I did the first podcast, I was like, oh, shit.

[00:11:58] I was like, you know, this right here sounds good.

[00:12:01] And to be honest, I just kind of kept it up.

[00:12:03] And there have been a lot of people who have followed that, you know, true crime podcast.

[00:12:09] So, you know, I ain't mad.

[00:12:11] Which AI voice are you using?

[00:12:13] Because I recently started including an AI summary of my episodes.

[00:12:19] Oh, really?

[00:12:20] Okay.

[00:12:20] Yes, I've been using Notebook LM.

[00:12:23] So, after I do a full episode, I'll just give it my transcript.

[00:12:26] And then they will just come up with two voices and they actually talk about the show as a summary.

[00:12:30] Oh, wow.

[00:12:31] Since my show is not long, it will do it for like 18 minutes.

[00:12:34] And I was like, cool, 18-minute show.

[00:12:37] I'll go ahead on and find an AI tool that does AI music.

[00:12:42] Throw some music behind there.

[00:12:44] And then post the episode that way.

[00:12:46] So, I was just wondering which AI tool.

[00:12:48] Oh, wow.

[00:12:48] Yeah.

[00:12:49] So, the tool I use, I think it's called L-O-V-O dot AI.

[00:12:56] So, not only it provides voices, but then you can kind of edit too.

[00:13:00] And then, to be honest, and, you know, just full disclosure,

[00:13:03] I went to ChatGPT and I said, give me a 1,400-word script on the death of so-and-so.

[00:13:15] And I kid you not, like, it provides a script.

[00:13:18] It tells me where to put the music in.

[00:13:20] It, you know, has dramatic pauses, all that.

[00:13:23] And then they have an AI voice that's included.

[00:13:26] So, that software, I mean, it probably has about maybe 100 different voices.

[00:13:31] I would say it's 500.

[00:13:32] 500.

[00:13:32] Wow.

[00:13:33] 500 voices?

[00:13:35] Yeah.

[00:13:35] With 11, I mean, 100 plus languages.

[00:13:39] Yeah.

[00:13:39] This ain't bad.

[00:13:40] Yeah.

[00:13:40] No, I mean, it's not bad.

[00:13:42] And I think out of, let's say out of that 500, probably about maybe 15 or black.

[00:13:46] And, you know, I just try to find the one that kind of sounded the blackest, you know,

[00:13:51] the slow, dramatic sound to it.

[00:13:54] Yes.

[00:13:55] Yeah, exactly.

[00:13:56] That's exactly what I mean.

[00:13:59] Now, just out of curiosity, now how much does all this cost on a monthly basis?

[00:14:04] Now, talking about how much does what specifically.

[00:14:07] You talking about the AI?

[00:14:08] Yeah, the AI programs.

[00:14:11] Oh, no.

[00:14:11] I mean, it's like $20 a month.

[00:14:13] Not bad.

[00:14:13] Yeah, the logo is $20 a month.

[00:14:17] Oh, not bad.

[00:14:18] It's free.

[00:14:20] Of course.

[00:14:21] It's like Google stuff.

[00:14:22] Of course.

[00:14:23] That's right.

[00:14:24] We'll find the free ones.

[00:14:24] I may look into that AI as well and incorporate that for 2025.

[00:14:29] But, ladies and gentlemen, this is Licka Talk.

[00:14:31] The more you drink, the better we sound.

[00:14:33] One last time for 2024.

[00:14:35] Take a shot with us, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:14:37] Happy Hanukkah.

[00:14:39] Happy New Year's.

[00:14:41] Merry Christmas.

[00:14:42] Happy Kwanzaa.

[00:14:44] Shout out to everybody that celebrates the holidays.

[00:14:47] And if you don't celebrate the holidays, just chill out.

[00:14:50] Don't be trying to ruin it for people who do celebrate the holidays.

[00:14:54] Because there are some people that can be very Debbie Downers about, oh, I don't celebrate the holidays.

[00:15:00] So, I'm just going to have a hissy fit.

[00:15:03] I'm like, no.

[00:15:03] Live life.

[00:15:04] That's it.

[00:15:05] Right.

[00:15:06] Right.

[00:15:08] But, listen.

[00:15:09] In the spirit of Christmas, let's have some Christmas memories.

[00:15:12] What is the best Christmas gift someone has ever given you?

[00:15:16] Hmm.

[00:15:17] Hmm.

[00:15:18] Damn.

[00:15:18] They're the best.

[00:15:23] As long as y'all don't say something that I think.

[00:15:25] Because two seasons ago.

[00:15:29] I'm not going to lie.

[00:15:30] Two seasons ago, I had somebody give me one of the best snippets as well.

[00:15:37] She told me her husband gave her a divorce on Christmas, and that was the best gift.

[00:15:41] I'm like, damn.

[00:15:43] To this day, that's still the best gift.

[00:15:46] I'm like, I don't know.

[00:15:48] Whatever.

[00:15:49] It could be nothing dramatic like that now.

[00:15:51] Mm-hmm.

[00:15:52] Well, I would say one has been a thoughtful gift.

[00:15:56] I'll go there.

[00:15:57] It's been several thoughtful gifts, but this one sticks out the most.

[00:16:00] It's like a gift card for the podcast.

[00:16:04] Even though it's for me, but because they saw my passion, they was like, hey, here's a gift card so you can get yourself a new microphone because you've been talking about it forever.

[00:16:13] So here's the microphone.

[00:16:16] Like, you know, as y'all know, this microphone is not cheap at all.

[00:16:20] So, you know, that donation really helped out a lot.

[00:16:23] So that was one of the gifts.

[00:16:25] Hey, shout out to that person out there that gave that gift.

[00:16:29] So if anybody out there is listening to the podcast and you know somebody who has a podcast, just get them something to go along with the podcast.

[00:16:38] It could be a microphone.

[00:16:39] It could be a new laptop.

[00:16:41] Or you can help them buy tickets to a podcast conference.

[00:16:45] Let them know you believe in that vision because that person's telling you, I believe in your vision.

[00:16:50] So I'm going to put some dollars behind this because I believe in your vision.

[00:16:55] So kudos to that person.

[00:16:57] Yeah.

[00:16:58] Yep.

[00:16:59] So when I think about it, I think the best gift I got, and I think it was maybe two years ago, maybe two or three years ago, my wife, she loves to travel.

[00:17:08] And she loves to travel during the holidays, too, which, of course, the most expensive time to travel.

[00:17:14] Yes.

[00:17:14] But her gift to me, or I'll probably say us and maybe herself, was we went to Mexico for New Year's.

[00:17:22] So we were at like a resort in Mexico, you know, brought in the New Year's, you know, down there.

[00:17:28] So that's probably one of the best Christmas gifts.

[00:17:32] And then I got to celebrate a New Year's collectively.

[00:17:34] So, you know, that, you know what, that's on the bucket list.

[00:17:39] Celebrating New Year's in another country.

[00:17:41] That has to be an amazing experience because it's still like in America, it's just the same things where people just either sitting by the bar, watching the ball drop.

[00:17:52] Or I feel bad for them to actually go to New York to watch the whole thing because one, it's cold.

[00:17:59] And two, I know somebody from New York, they told me that's when people get robbed out there because they like to rob the tourists.

[00:18:05] So I definitely feel bad for those people.

[00:18:08] Go ahead.

[00:18:09] Yeah.

[00:18:09] I did it once.

[00:18:10] I will say maybe it was when Clinton was in office or coming out of office.

[00:18:18] And took the, drove up to Jersey, took the bus from Jersey up to New York.

[00:18:25] And they dumped you like right in front of where the ball is going to drop.

[00:18:29] But because there's so many crowds, you're several blocks away.

[00:18:32] But it was just fun to see.

[00:18:33] So could you even see the ball dropping?

[00:18:36] Yeah, you can see it on TV.

[00:18:37] They got a project.

[00:18:40] Hey, Anthony, somebody told me that in order to get up there and like get a decent spot.

[00:18:45] So, I mean, of course, that's midnight.

[00:18:47] You know, I hear people tell them about leaving in the morning.

[00:18:49] Like you're out there all day long trying to get a position.

[00:18:53] I would recommend it.

[00:18:54] Oh, wow.

[00:18:55] Wow.

[00:18:56] All that just to see if the damn ball drop.

[00:18:58] I'm going to have to pass on that.

[00:18:59] I'm going to have to watch it on TV.

[00:19:01] I'm going to have to watch it on TV unless, of course, I get invited up there or they want me to speak or something.

[00:19:08] I'm definitely watching it on TV with y'all because we're not back to do.

[00:19:12] VIP status.

[00:19:13] Yeah, unless it's VIP status.

[00:19:15] We're not about to do all that because I'm not trying to spend all day up here.

[00:19:20] Especially me.

[00:19:21] I'm trying to see New York.

[00:19:22] I'm not trying to stay in one place all day.

[00:19:25] Well, I mean, some of the restaurants, I believe it was at either Fridays or Ruby Tuesdays.

[00:19:30] They got like a little club lounge area, which is on that top level.

[00:19:33] And you can actually watch it from that level and just park it up.

[00:19:37] So they got like a music.

[00:19:38] How much?

[00:19:38] Is it expensive?

[00:19:40] Yeah, they charged some dollars.

[00:19:41] Oh.

[00:19:42] Because they was like, you know, to get up here during this time of the day, like this time of year, I think it's like 200, something ridiculous.

[00:19:49] Okay.

[00:19:50] But they charging.

[00:19:51] Of course they're charging.

[00:19:53] I wouldn't be expected.

[00:19:55] But going back to Christmas, I think the best Christmas gift I ever got was a laptop from my grandmother because the laptop actually came in clutch.

[00:20:04] This was back when I was at FAMU like years ago.

[00:20:07] The laptop I had, the little red was like a small one.

[00:20:11] And it died on me.

[00:20:12] And I called my grandmother about it.

[00:20:14] Like she said, I was going to take it tomorrow to go get it fixed.

[00:20:17] She said, no, baby, don't even worry about it.

[00:20:19] I can go get you a new one.

[00:20:21] Then lo and behold, like three or four weeks later, no one came in the mail.

[00:20:24] I'm like, thank you, granny.

[00:20:27] That really came in clutch.

[00:20:28] So that's probably the best.

[00:20:30] Grandmas come in handy.

[00:20:31] Yes.

[00:20:32] Shout out to grandmas out there because they definitely come in handy.

[00:20:35] So that's probably the best Christmas gift I've ever gotten.

[00:20:38] But also nowadays, I've realized as you get older, you don't really look forward to Christmas unless, of course, you got kids and stuff.

[00:20:44] Because you can just buy yourself those gifts.

[00:20:47] Of course, you put money to the side.

[00:20:49] But, you know.

[00:20:51] Yeah.

[00:20:51] Well, you know, it's funny because I have two kids.

[00:20:55] And I liked it better when they were little because, you know, it's easy.

[00:20:59] They feel excited.

[00:21:01] Yeah.

[00:21:01] I mean, they're excited.

[00:21:02] You take them to the dollar store, tell them a while out.

[00:21:05] You know, they're good to go.

[00:21:06] Maybe five below now.

[00:21:07] But, you know, it's funny because the gifts they want now are, you know, and especially if they try to be the trendy gifts.

[00:21:15] Like, you can't get them on Amazon.

[00:21:16] You can't get them in the stores.

[00:21:18] You know.

[00:21:19] So, you know, I don't know.

[00:21:22] Christmas isn't what it used to be.

[00:21:24] And so, like, now I tell them, give me exactly what you want.

[00:21:28] Send me the link, the color, the size, you know, everything.

[00:21:32] Yes.

[00:21:34] Yes.

[00:21:34] Christmas is not one.

[00:21:35] These kids got a million nowadays because they got technology and stuff.

[00:21:39] So that way they can go ahead and sort out what they want.

[00:21:43] But if you do it, I mean, you got to earn it, though.

[00:21:46] You know what I'm saying?

[00:21:47] Because you can't just give it to them, you know.

[00:21:50] Yeah.

[00:21:50] Yeah.

[00:21:52] Because that's one of the things, like, since I'm focusing on the sandwich generation.

[00:21:57] And for those of you who are not familiar or listening to this, so the sandwich generation are people anywhere between 40 and 60 years old who are actually taking care of their parents and also have children.

[00:22:08] There's, like, three different categories of sandwich generation.

[00:22:11] They call it the traditional, where you got your aging parents and your young children.

[00:22:17] Then they got the club sandwich, which is where you're still in your 40s or your 60s, but you also have adult children and grandchildren that you're dealing with, along with your parents as well.

[00:22:33] Or they're in their 20s or 40s, and they got young children, aging parents and grandparents.

[00:22:38] So that's kind of like the club sandwich area.

[00:22:40] And then the open-faced ones is just that where you're just dealing with, everybody's dealing with elderly care.

[00:22:47] So, you know, having those understandings is, like, when it comes to the holidays, everybody will be like, hey, what are y'all doing?

[00:22:54] How can we help each other out?

[00:22:56] For me, like, because I'm just hitting that part where I'm more of the open-faced side of the house, it's like, like, I got siblings that have kids, whatever.

[00:23:09] I'm like, just send me their 529 plans.

[00:23:11] I'm not buying them gifts.

[00:23:12] Y'all already got the gifts.

[00:23:13] Give me the 529 plan links, and that's it.

[00:23:17] Like, for right now, the only gift giving is, like, to my mom and to my wife.

[00:23:20] That's it.

[00:23:21] Hey, and that's what's up, you know?

[00:23:24] And then you got, like I said, I thought I'm in that sandwich plan as well, but, like, I was grinding, and it's just me.

[00:23:30] So it's like, so I know the people I'm getting gifts for, they got birthdays next month.

[00:23:35] So knowing them, I love y'all, but y'all definitely going to get y'all gifts next month because January is right around the corner.

[00:23:43] And also, it's for the people also because I'm a sage, and, of course, people love to lump your birthday with Christmas.

[00:23:51] So talking about December babies out there, don't be lending them lumpy birthdays.

[00:23:55] Nah.

[00:23:56] It don't cost that much to, you know, do something for my birthday and for Christmas.

[00:24:03] It don't cost that much.

[00:24:04] And also, telling my people going to white elephant parties, get something nice.

[00:24:08] Don't get something overly cheap because I'm sitting here trying to figure out what I'm going to get for this white elephant party.

[00:24:14] Man, some sand sheets go a long way.

[00:24:17] Some what?

[00:24:17] Some sand sheets?

[00:24:19] Oh, yeah.

[00:24:19] Yeah.

[00:24:21] Hey, I might.

[00:24:22] Hey, Victor, when's your birthday?

[00:24:24] The 5th of December.

[00:24:25] It just, it passed like 20 days ago.

[00:24:27] So I.

[00:24:27] That'd be belated.

[00:24:28] Thank you, thank you, thank you.

[00:24:30] Yeah, it was real chill.

[00:24:32] But I realize as I get older, you know, you just want to be around good vibes and stuff.

[00:24:36] But I know one year I got to go travel, do something for my birthday because, like I said, I like being, you know, I'm in Florida, you know.

[00:24:44] But I want to see other places, get the experience of other things.

[00:24:47] So I think I definitely want to travel for my birthday.

[00:24:50] And hell, I also got to travel for New Year's, too.

[00:24:52] Come think about it.

[00:24:54] Yeah.

[00:24:55] Because it's like, it's different experiences.

[00:24:59] So I definitely look forward to all that.

[00:25:02] But getting to the year recap, y'all.

[00:25:05] So 2024, overall, how do y'all feel about how it went?

[00:25:10] Thank God it's over.

[00:25:11] Thank God it's almost over.

[00:25:13] Hello.

[00:25:14] No.

[00:25:15] Well, you know, it's so funny because every year and probably next year, too, you know, we go into 2025 thinking great things and we're going to get all this stuff done.

[00:25:24] And I can't lie, after Thanksgiving, oh, my goodness, it's like anything that can go wrong has been going wrong.

[00:25:33] The bottom been dropping out.

[00:25:34] So now, like, literally, I'm just trying to make it to the new year, you know, start fresh.

[00:25:39] I can't wait.

[00:25:41] I feel that.

[00:25:44] Yeah, because for me, I'd say this year has been interesting.

[00:25:48] It's more likely a reflection on everything that I've done in the past couple years, especially with the podcast, of where I've been, where I want to go.

[00:25:57] And reminders.

[00:25:58] Everybody is coming up to me to support me.

[00:26:01] It's almost like I'm cashing in now on all the support that I've done over the years.

[00:26:05] It's like, OK, now that I've built this out, I need to start making some money who can help me.

[00:26:12] And so that's why 2025 and going hard on that area.

[00:26:16] But right now, it's more so like getting everything in the back end done for the intake forms, getting newsletters going out.

[00:26:24] So it's a lot of stuff on the back end that people don't talk about from podcasting.

[00:26:28] But that's a whole nother show.

[00:26:31] So just want to share that.

[00:26:32] Yeah, I feel that that back end stuff, I'm going to definitely look into it as well, because I already said for 2025, I want to I want to start to transition out of corporate America because I've realized that sometimes whoever said that jobs, they pay you to not focus on your dreams.

[00:26:52] They are so right on the money because sometimes you'll be so damn tired from working.

[00:26:57] You're not even focused on the recording and the back end stuff.

[00:27:02] So I totally feel Anthony on that because I need to look into it as well, because I've said I wanted to, you know, write some newsletters and give some thoughts on episodes as well, like and give some more drink options.

[00:27:14] And so there's a lot of things I want to do for the podcast as well.

[00:27:17] But 2024, I definitely feel it like it felt like what could go wrong will go wrong.

[00:27:23] But I will say 2024 did show resilience because it's like at least you didn't die.

[00:27:29] At least right.

[00:27:31] At least you're still standing.

[00:27:32] We're still here.

[00:27:33] But and it did show that with patience, things will eventually get better.

[00:27:40] But and that's why now I'm looking forward to 2025 because I'm still like there's some things I want to do.

[00:27:45] There's some shows I want to do.

[00:27:47] I want I want to be doing the podcast in person.

[00:27:50] I want to pull up on me when they sit there like, hey, I mean, you see, let's record.

[00:27:54] So that's already what I'm looking forward to with 2025.

[00:27:57] But 2024, though, it feels like in the media and the news and stuff, it feels like everything came to like even all the mess that we're not even looking forward to.

[00:28:08] That we didn't even know or some things that we knew.

[00:28:11] But now we got confirmation.

[00:28:13] All that stuff came out.

[00:28:14] So what are your thoughts about all of the mess that just came out in 2024?

[00:28:20] Well, it depends on your algorithm.

[00:28:25] Hello.

[00:28:27] Because that most of my algorithms are filled with Ouija stuff.

[00:28:33] Yeah.

[00:28:34] Hanging like other CEOs talking about how, like, I think even the Suns right now, their CEO changed the way how the snack bar, everything is $2 going forward.

[00:28:45] Yeah, I saw that.

[00:28:45] I said.

[00:28:46] That right there is pretty cool.

[00:28:48] That was pretty cool.

[00:28:49] I'm like, oh, y'all trying to do what the Atlanta Falcons are doing now.

[00:28:52] Y'all stop time.

[00:28:52] But I saw that, and I'm like, oh, so it takes for this CEO to die to now all y'all want something like this?

[00:29:00] Well, die publicly.

[00:29:01] You know what I'm saying?

[00:29:02] A lot of other stuff.

[00:29:03] Hush, hush.

[00:29:05] And just seeing all of that information, I have to say, like, it doesn't impact me directly, but I'm trying to find a way that it can impact my audience from a financial standpoint of, from a marketing perspective.

[00:29:21] When they say negative news or all news is good news when it comes to the marketing space, whether or not, like how you said, they could just easily change the channel or whatever.

[00:29:31] But when everybody's talking about the whole bleeding of the situation, they want to continue on and push that out there regardless because it gets the engagement.

[00:29:41] It gets the people going.

[00:29:43] It's provocative.

[00:29:46] Definitely, definitely.

[00:29:50] Yeah, I mean, I think for myself, probably Diddy.

[00:29:55] I mean, like, you know, it's like every time you turn, you're hearing something, and you're like, what?

[00:30:01] What?

[00:30:02] He did what?

[00:30:03] Baby World, what?

[00:30:04] You know, Cassie, what?

[00:30:05] So, but, you know, I mean, in a way, you know, I kind of feel bad because, you know, I always think about, I guess maybe a year ago or two years ago, we'd look up to Will and Jada.

[00:30:17] And you remember, like, all that stuff came out about them.

[00:30:20] And now we know, okay, you know, like, they're not, not to say they're not who we thought they were, but now we know, like, they're kind of normal people who have, you know, ups and downs and flaws just like us.

[00:30:31] But I can say back in the day, you know, Diddy used to be one of my role models.

[00:30:35] I was like, you know, how can I, you know, do multiple things and walk in business meetings casual and, you know, have all this influence.

[00:30:45] But, you know, I feel like after that Cat Williams interview on like the club Shay Shay came out, you know, a lot of people just started falling.

[00:30:55] And, you know, not just Diddy, but, you know, I think it's interesting how many people, and I guess we'll probably find out in 2025, but how many people are associated with it?

[00:31:06] You know, we heard, I've heard Usher, Neo, Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez.

[00:31:11] I mean, it's like some of the top people in entertainment, you know, that we know and don't know seem to be associated with it in some type of way.

[00:31:21] It ain't just entertainment.

[00:31:23] See, the interesting thing is I found out it's not just entertainment.

[00:31:26] It's the politicians.

[00:31:28] It's the athletes.

[00:31:29] I'm like, who wasn't at these damn parties?

[00:31:32] And they said the real reason the FBI raided his property is because they wanted to get them tapes because some of them politicians may have been on there.

[00:31:40] I'm like, Lord have mercy.

[00:31:43] I'm like, who wasn't on there?

[00:31:45] And I really feel like that interview that Cat Williams did, that really set the tone for the year because all of this stuff started coming out.

[00:31:54] And I knew it was a red flag when he settled with Cassie as fast as he did.

[00:31:59] Yep.

[00:32:00] But, you know, it's crazy.

[00:32:01] He settled with her, but the video came out for like a day or two, and then he settled.

[00:32:06] Yeah, I mean, that was crazy.

[00:32:08] But one of the things that I noticed that a lot of people aren't talking about is even the Hugh Hefner documentary.

[00:32:15] And it's like all the things, it's exactly what happened in the Hugh Hefner documentary.

[00:32:20] It's happening now.

[00:32:21] It's just like it's a slow turn and burn.

[00:32:26] And I'm not sure if y'all noticed, but they actually, I think they took it off of Netflix.

[00:32:30] It was actually on its way out.

[00:32:31] And I was like, what is the deal?

[00:32:33] Why are they pushing this one out faster than any other of their documentaries that they ever had?

[00:32:38] It just kind of gets you to think about it.

[00:32:40] So for that documentary, and I haven't seen it, I feel like what makes, and correct me if I'm wrong, Anthony,

[00:32:47] what makes it different is, and you can tell me if I'm wrong, so Puffy with the physical abuse,

[00:32:56] the child molestation.

[00:33:00] Did they have any of those type of issues, the blackmail?

[00:33:05] They had the physical abuse.

[00:33:07] Okay.

[00:33:08] Now, was that Hugh Hefner doing the abuse?

[00:33:11] Oh, okay.

[00:33:12] Did not know that.

[00:33:12] But also, he had the tapes everywhere.

[00:33:14] So there was, obviously, that's how he was doing most of his finagling.

[00:33:19] It's because he had tapes on everybody.

[00:33:22] And the child abuse, yes, that happened.

[00:33:26] But obviously, they tried their best to keep it hush-hush.

[00:33:29] A couple of bunnies have gotten, you know, dealt with.

[00:33:33] No, dealt with.

[00:33:36] Oh.

[00:33:36] Mafia dealt with.

[00:33:38] Oh, yeah.

[00:33:39] For running the miles about somebody else doing physical abuse.

[00:33:43] So a lot of them have, like, so many different issues that they talked about.

[00:33:49] But it's not, you know, it's something, I have to say, you have to watch it.

[00:33:55] Because it's out there.

[00:33:58] But the fact of the matter is, like, it's almost on the same exact level.

[00:34:02] But I think Hugh was just at a deeper level than Puff was.

[00:34:07] Because if you look at how long Hugh Hefner was doing this versus Puff is, like, almost a child getting into this game.

[00:34:16] Yeah.

[00:34:17] You know what I think it is?

[00:34:19] And it goes back to, it feels like the justice system all over again.

[00:34:22] Because I've said this on playing my podcast.

[00:34:24] The justice system is like bleach.

[00:34:27] Because, you know, bleach, when you use it, it's only good on whites.

[00:34:30] But you use on colors.

[00:34:32] Oh, I thought you were talking about the anime bleach.

[00:34:34] Nah.

[00:34:35] Yeah, I thought about that, too.

[00:34:37] But, you know, the actual Clorox bleach or whatever bleach you use, it kind of reminds me of the justice system.

[00:34:43] It's like, it's good on whites, but it's terrible on blacks.

[00:34:47] So they always want to push the narrative of a black man as us monsters as doing this.

[00:34:53] But you got Hugh Hefner just skating on by.

[00:34:57] Because, I'm like, they did the same thing to Diddy.

[00:35:00] Diddy as they did to R. Kelly.

[00:35:01] It's like, they see a prominent black entertainer that beat the system.

[00:35:06] They're going to either try to take him down or find a way to off him.

[00:35:10] So, and you notice all this mess with Diddy came out after he settled with that liquor company.

[00:35:15] Hmm.

[00:35:16] And that liquor company was British owned.

[00:35:19] And I guess they weren't too happy about having to settle.

[00:35:22] So they made a few calls over to England.

[00:35:26] And then England makes the calls to America.

[00:35:28] Now we got all this mess coming out.

[00:35:31] Craziness.

[00:35:32] Yeah.

[00:35:33] It really is.

[00:35:35] Levels that it's money stuff.

[00:35:36] And it's...

[00:35:37] Yeah.

[00:35:38] But it's not about...

[00:35:39] Because you can say you get all the accolades you want to.

[00:35:41] But at the end of the day, it's your network.

[00:35:43] It definitely is your network.

[00:35:46] And also...

[00:35:46] You know, I was going to say real quick, the funny thing I thought about, and even my wife

[00:35:51] and I had these conversations.

[00:35:54] When Diddy was accused of what he was accused, nobody came to his aid.

[00:35:59] You know, like nobody was making public statements like he wouldn't do that.

[00:36:03] He didn't do it.

[00:36:04] He ain't the type.

[00:36:05] Like not even his kids.

[00:36:07] Like nobody came to his aid.

[00:36:09] Like, so, you know, that's why I'm curious, you know, with these tapes.

[00:36:15] Like, okay, who's all in these tapes?

[00:36:17] Because I'm sure there are a lot of celebrities right now who are very nervous, you know, scared,

[00:36:23] you know, and just worried about celebrities, politicians, execs, you know, all that.

[00:36:32] So I'm curious what 2025 is going to bring in terms of, you know, bringing the light to some

[00:36:38] of these people because, you know, like almost like they talk about Jeffrey Einstein.

[00:36:43] Epstein.

[00:36:44] I'm sorry.

[00:36:45] And, you know, like it seems like Diddy is kind of like on that track with, you know,

[00:36:50] guest lists full of famous people and the rich and powerful.

[00:36:55] So I definitely think 2025 is going to be very interesting.

[00:36:58] And unfortunately, I think a lot of our heroes and favorites are going to, you know, be latched

[00:37:06] on to some of his foolishness.

[00:37:09] Yeah.

[00:37:09] When you can think of it this way, like, you know, when you park inside a handicapped parking

[00:37:15] spot, right?

[00:37:16] Uh-huh.

[00:37:17] That's a fine.

[00:37:17] That's a $200 fine.

[00:37:19] Most people aren't willing to pay that.

[00:37:21] But you can, depending on how you look at it, it's a convenience fee.

[00:37:26] I paid $200 to park it right in front of the store.

[00:37:30] Meh.

[00:37:30] I'll pay the fine or pay the fee, the convenience fee.

[00:37:33] You go to the convenience store, you'll gladly pay $2 for a honey bun that you can get from

[00:37:38] the grocery store, five for like eight, like $5 you get in like 12 of these things.

[00:37:43] It's just a convenience fee.

[00:37:45] And that's how Epstein was actually looking at it when he was getting caught all these

[00:37:50] times because he was like, meh, it's just a thousand bucks.

[00:37:54] Yes.

[00:37:55] He's just going to throw a thousand dollars.

[00:37:57] Okay.

[00:37:57] Well, here you go.

[00:37:58] I'm out.

[00:37:59] Or like a, I think anything under like a hundred grand, he was just like, eh, whatever.

[00:38:05] Okay.

[00:38:05] Yeah.

[00:38:06] Fine.

[00:38:06] And that was it.

[00:38:07] And so it depends on how you change the narrative of what it is between a fine and a fee for convenience

[00:38:14] or whatever that you get in the way with illegally.

[00:38:18] I feel like that's, that's a good point.

[00:38:21] But I felt like at some point they call your tab at some point they're going to, you, you

[00:38:26] keep running that tab up because it sounds like you're just grabbing a tab or because

[00:38:31] sometimes you could run up a tab in a bar or something like that.

[00:38:33] At some point they're going to call your tab.

[00:38:35] And if you ain't got the, and they might give you a charge you a number so high that you

[00:38:39] might just have to settle for the jail time or they'll find a way to, you know, take you

[00:38:44] out.

[00:38:45] And then they'd be like, well, I know your grandfather.

[00:38:47] I know your father.

[00:38:48] I know who the people that family, like we good friends.

[00:38:52] And so.

[00:38:53] Yeah.

[00:38:53] Yeah.

[00:38:54] It's what I'm saying.

[00:38:54] Like depending on how big your network is, you know?

[00:38:56] Yeah.

[00:38:57] Exactly.

[00:38:58] Because I'm like, and the fact that nobody came to these, they don't as big as network

[00:39:02] is, it says, it does say that maybe he is guilty for what he did because this is maybe

[00:39:09] they're trying to get him for what he did also in the nineties as well.

[00:39:12] So maybe this has been going on for almost 30 something years.

[00:39:16] So, and then everybody's like, Oh, if did he's next, then watch out for Jay-Z and stuff.

[00:39:22] I'm like, y'all just trying to take down.

[00:39:23] Now is it, they're trying to take down everybody or all these people and got some skeletons

[00:39:28] that's about to come out.

[00:39:30] Yeah.

[00:39:31] I mean, Cat Wayne was coming back on the show on January 3rd.

[00:39:34] Oh, is he going to up Jay-Z?

[00:39:35] Yeah.

[00:39:35] Oh, man.

[00:39:37] I can't wait to see that because they really set the tone for the year.

[00:39:42] So it's like, and my question to people is why are y'all so okay with it?

[00:39:47] Why is it now a problem now?

[00:39:49] But why were y'all so okay with it back when it was happening?

[00:39:53] Right.

[00:39:53] Right.

[00:39:54] Yeah, it is.

[00:39:55] Money.

[00:39:56] I mean, kind of like you said money talks.

[00:39:59] And I think, you know, I think people really think that, you know, kind of like Anthony was

[00:40:05] saying that they have so many chances to do certain things and not get in trouble.

[00:40:10] And now that it's starting to come to light, you know, they are thinking a little bit different

[00:40:14] about it for sure.

[00:40:15] Yeah.

[00:40:17] Yeah.

[00:40:22] Yeah.

[00:40:49] finding out what people that based on connections and most pages of public and you go on somebody

[00:40:55] else's page and somebody else posts something that's obviously you didn't post, but you can

[00:41:00] find out quite a bit of information for free without even doing too much work.

[00:41:04] Um, so.

[00:41:06] Yeah.

[00:41:07] And you know, I'm just gonna say on top of that, a lot of people don't have no discretion.

[00:41:12] So, you know, there's people like I always think about, um, and I always hear the stories

[00:41:18] on, on the news of people like robbing a bank, robbing somebody.

[00:41:23] And then there'll be on social media flashing the money, the guns, like the same items they

[00:41:29] stole.

[00:41:29] Yeah.

[00:41:30] They're flashing on social media and it's like, okay, like, you know, you're not even

[00:41:34] smart.

[00:41:34] Like you, you can't even hide what you do.

[00:41:37] And that's how I feel about a lot of people on social media now.

[00:41:39] There, there's such a, uh, an urge to show everybody, everything they're doing.

[00:41:46] They're not thinking about what they're showing.

[00:41:48] You know?

[00:41:48] Yeah.

[00:41:49] Like that guy that was recently shown spraying bug spray on like produce.

[00:41:54] Oh, yeah.

[00:41:56] Yeah.

[00:41:57] I'm like, that's the reason I stopped at Walmart.

[00:42:00] Yeah.

[00:42:00] That's just nasty.

[00:42:02] And I'm like people doing all this dumb shit for clout, but I'm like, we're going to get

[00:42:07] arrested.

[00:42:07] Y'all just telling on yourself.

[00:42:09] So because some criminals like get the money, let's go out the country.

[00:42:14] No, these people want to do dumb shit.

[00:42:16] Yeah.

[00:42:18] No, I agree.

[00:42:19] And if I, Anthony, when you said it, it just made me think of all the people who, um, have

[00:42:23] you seen like the, the social media pranks where they're walking up to people acting like

[00:42:28] they want to fight them or, you know, acting like they got a gun and I'm like, you know,

[00:42:32] why, why would you do this?

[00:42:34] I mean, like all you're doing is risking your life.

[00:42:37] And half of these people are doing the same thing as everyone else.

[00:42:40] Like I looked at this one guy's page.

[00:42:41] He's doing all that.

[00:42:42] He has like four likes, three likes, two likes.

[00:42:45] I'm like, okay, you know, you're, you're about to get beat down, shot or kill for three,

[00:42:50] four likes in a video.

[00:42:52] And I'm just like, and also I see the ones where some of the guys, they hollering out

[00:42:57] another man's chick or something like that.

[00:42:59] Or I'm like, are you trying to start some shit, bro?

[00:43:03] All for some damn clicks.

[00:43:04] All you want show five minutes of fame that bad because you're doing this dumb shit.

[00:43:10] It's called three dots report.

[00:43:16] And you do all this shit and your, your account might actually get banned from social media.

[00:43:21] Right.

[00:43:22] And it's crazy.

[00:43:24] Speaking of social media, y'all really think TikTok is going to get banned next year?

[00:43:29] I personally, I hope so.

[00:43:31] Cause I don't really use it.

[00:43:32] So I'm like, let TikTok ban, bring everybody back to Instagram.

[00:43:38] It's a, to me, I think it's just a wave of the way how social media is going.

[00:43:44] But from TikTok itself, because it's a short form, it's a, it's the end or be awful short

[00:43:50] form.

[00:43:50] I think what will happen, what will happen going forward, even with fan base coming out

[00:43:56] with their version to me, fan base still has a lot, a long way to go because I can't even

[00:44:02] get dark mode on my phone.

[00:44:04] Um, cause I like, Oh yeah.

[00:44:06] Um, I agree with you on side note.

[00:44:09] Um, didn't mean to cut you off.

[00:44:09] I agree with you on dark and well and fan base.

[00:44:11] Something that's special on fat base is they don't stay updated.

[00:44:14] Like, um, because I post stuff to TikTok and I'm supposed to think it's synced to my

[00:44:19] fan base, but it don't really be updating like that.

[00:44:22] So fan base got a long way to go.

[00:44:25] I want to support it.

[00:44:26] It's black owned.

[00:44:27] I definitely want to support it, but it definitely got a long way to go.

[00:44:30] And as far as TikTok goes, I think if an American investor buys it, they will stop tripping

[00:44:36] about it.

[00:44:37] Cause I think the biggest thing in tripping out is the fact that it's Chinese.

[00:44:40] And also I know Jeff, Mr. Bezos, um, he been losing some business.

[00:44:44] So because the Amazon and I'm like, and TikTok got better deals than Amazon.

[00:44:48] The TikTok shop.

[00:44:50] So it's like, I know he tripping about it.

[00:44:52] I'm like, sir, you got all the damn money.

[00:44:54] Just go ahead and buy TikTok.

[00:44:56] Yeah, for real.

[00:44:58] Oh, that, you, you know what?

[00:45:00] That would be actually be a good play because then they can actually market.

[00:45:04] Well, cause Amazon, I'm not sure if y'all noticed Amazon already markets on Amazon prime

[00:45:08] when you watch on TV and you pause it and it was just like, Hey, buy this or whatever.

[00:45:12] Um, but TikTok does a really good job of saying like, Hey, what you see on the screen, you

[00:45:19] can actually purchase.

[00:45:20] So if it does that and Amazon take up that technology, that would be great.

[00:45:26] And also to have this distribution centers that, um, TikTok market has, that could be

[00:45:31] also a good gameplay as well.

[00:45:34] If they're going to go that route, but I'm not even sure if even if TikTok actually owns

[00:45:38] distribution centers, like who are they using as a distribution center?

[00:45:41] That's a good question because I know it always says shipping from TikTok shop.

[00:45:46] So it's like, we don't know what a distribution center is, but speaking of distribution centers,

[00:45:51] Amazon, take care of your employees, man, because I see they striking and stuff.

[00:45:56] So I hope that y'all taking care of these employees and shout out to all delivery drivers

[00:46:00] out there because I know y'all busting y'all ass to get all the packages and stuff over

[00:46:06] the holidays.

[00:46:06] So shout out to y'all Amazon take care of your goddamn workers before y'all talk about,

[00:46:11] you know, buying some things, but it's amazing what the money comes to money, how much shit

[00:46:17] and how much secrets come out.

[00:46:18] It's crazy.

[00:46:23] Yeah.

[00:46:23] I never worked there.

[00:46:24] I mean, I always seen people like scanning things, but I mean, so I was taking care of

[00:46:30] workers.

[00:46:31] I mean, think about like people who actually can't even report that they got a second

[00:46:34] job.

[00:46:36] Yeah.

[00:46:37] Well, I'm not the change topic.

[00:46:38] I'm sorry.

[00:46:39] It's all good.

[00:46:40] It's all good.

[00:46:40] No, I definitely agree with that.

[00:46:42] It's not that with a lot of jobs.

[00:46:44] You can't really tell them, oh, I got a second job because y'all paying me so little.

[00:46:48] But, you know, we got to find a way to get it on our own, out the mud and stuff, because

[00:46:53] there's ways to get it.

[00:46:54] There's ways to make money from this content creation.

[00:46:58] We're going to find it in 2025.

[00:46:59] That's what I'm hoping for.

[00:47:01] In 2025, we find ways to do all this stuff because there's ways to, you know, make money

[00:47:07] to where we don't have to rely on a company because these companies don't care about us.

[00:47:12] And I wish people would realize that sooner or later, that if something were to happen to you, if you were to die, that company will have another employee like tomorrow.

[00:47:49] Yeah.

[00:47:50] Yeah.

[00:47:51] So, yeah.

[00:47:52] It's crazy.

[00:47:53] It is crazy.

[00:47:54] I'm like, this man literally just died and he already got the CEO board.

[00:47:57] I'm like, so that should tell other CEOs that nobody is safe, that these investors, they don't care about you.

[00:48:03] You just a placeholder.

[00:48:04] So, while y'all want to try to get all these laws passed, y'all might need to find a way to work for yourselves.

[00:48:13] Right.

[00:48:14] Well, you know, they also talked about since that happened, a lot of CEOs are nervous and, you know, probably the ones making all these money off the backs of hardworking people.

[00:48:23] But they were talking about a lot of CEOs are hiring protection, bodyguards, you know, all that extra stuff just in case some disgruntled people, you know, come after them as well.

[00:48:38] I mean, how hard is it to do better about people?

[00:48:41] But all they care about is lining their pockets.

[00:48:44] Yeah.

[00:48:45] I mean, how much more can you get, man?

[00:48:47] They say greed.

[00:48:48] Greed is one of the seven deadly sins.

[00:48:50] So, of course, your greed might actually kill you, but you can't tell them that.

[00:48:58] Sad enough.

[00:48:59] But, fellas, shifting gears, I do got one thing to say I think people should do in 2025 is take our mental health seriously because us as men, we do.

[00:49:10] It has been trending that the death rate of men have been going up via suicide.

[00:49:15] And I really hope men learn how to find safe spaces to talk to other men or to talk to your spouse or whoever you're with.

[00:49:26] Now, because we want to see this train go down, man, because I'm getting tired of seeing stories about men that off themselves.

[00:49:34] Or I even saw this TikTok of this, some call it the Pilot King or the Scott King or some of that.

[00:49:40] Back in 2008, this man hijacked an Alaska Airlines plane.

[00:49:44] And he was flying it.

[00:49:46] And he was talking to the aviation control.

[00:49:49] And he ended up all for himself by crashing the plane.

[00:49:51] I'm like, if this man would have had somebody to talk to, maybe he'd still be here.

[00:49:57] And that goes for anybody listening because I really feel like we need to take our mental health seriously.

[00:50:05] Yeah, I mean, you know, I definitely agree with that.

[00:50:08] I've had some friends who have dealt with depression.

[00:50:12] And, you know, I think being able to see that in somebody is something that's kind of eye opening.

[00:50:17] And, you know, I'll tell you, it's funny.

[00:50:18] I remember last year, maybe two years ago, I posted something on social media and it was something like, you know, Black men, when you're having issues, you know, who do you talk to?

[00:50:33] And 99% of the responses were basically Black men saying, I don't have anybody to talk to.

[00:50:40] You know, and I feel like Black women are different because there's just so much of a sisterhood, mothers and daughters, sisters, you know, sister girls.

[00:50:48] Group chats, all that where, you know, they have a lot of those spaces to run scenarios by and and speak to people.

[00:50:56] But, you know, a lot of times, like, you know, we don't have that.

[00:50:59] I know, you know, of course, you know, we'll speak about the barbershop.

[00:51:02] But unless you have a great relationship, you don't get so personal in the barbershop.

[00:51:08] But, you know, I just thought it was so odd that.

[00:51:12] But, you know, I even say for myself, like, if I'm going through something major, major, I might only have one person, you know, to talk to.

[00:51:22] You know, I can talk to my wife about certain things, something she's not going to understand.

[00:51:26] Talk to my parents, you know, they definitely not going to understand.

[00:51:29] But just the fact that men don't have the support system is really staggering.

[00:51:37] And kind of like you said, Victor, hopefully in 2025, more Black men can reach out to, you know, get the mental health services that they need.

[00:51:46] Yes, we definitely need to, because sometimes ain't always the person that's going to be down and gloomy.

[00:51:52] It's going to be the person that's happy.

[00:51:54] That's always the life of the party or or doing a lot to mask what's really going on.

[00:51:59] Because if you know what's really going on, you'd be surprised.

[00:52:04] Right.

[00:52:06] I always try to like for the people that are always smiling, even at work.

[00:52:10] I'm like, what's going on?

[00:52:12] Like, is everything OK?

[00:52:14] And like I usually check in with them more so than I do with a quiet person.

[00:52:18] The quiet person is like, all right, they're going through it right now.

[00:52:22] It's OK.

[00:52:22] But it's not like their normal selves.

[00:52:24] So the energy is a little different.

[00:52:26] But for a person that's always smiling, it's kind of like, OK, it's good that you're smiling and keeping a face in the facade because it's work.

[00:52:35] But if you need to talk, I always say like, you know, we can always walk and talk if you want to.

[00:52:40] I don't like to sit down and talk because I sit down and talk.

[00:52:43] It's kind of like I'm not sure if it's a guy thing for me.

[00:52:46] I'd rather walk, like do something active.

[00:52:48] Yeah.

[00:52:49] Why are you having this conversation?

[00:52:51] Like, because you don't need people just walking by, hearing about it.

[00:52:55] No, they could probably get one word or two.

[00:52:57] Just keep moving.

[00:52:58] Like, you don't need to hear this.

[00:53:00] Yeah, I feel that as well.

[00:53:02] I definitely have to agree with you there.

[00:53:03] Um, sometimes that's why sometimes I'll text somebody or I might be like, I might be like, I might pull up on somebody.

[00:53:10] Hey, let's let's go to a bar.

[00:53:12] Let's let's talk, man.

[00:53:13] Or somewhere, somewhere private or somewhere discreet or a cigar lounge.

[00:53:17] Let's talk.

[00:53:17] Or if I need to pull up on somebody.

[00:53:20] Hey, let's pull up.

[00:53:21] Let's talk because we need to have these conversations.

[00:53:23] So I definitely feel you and have an activity while doing it or something.

[00:53:28] But shout out to the men that are your support system as well.

[00:53:32] Shout out to your brothers in the community as well.

[00:53:34] And also reach out to people because you just never know who.

[00:53:39] Because I guarantee you the person that's a hundred miles away might get back to you faster than the person that's red up the street.

[00:53:46] As sad as that is, which I never really understood that.

[00:53:50] But you just got to embrace it.

[00:53:52] The podcast thing is therapy to me.

[00:53:55] It is.

[00:53:56] I definitely agree with you.

[00:53:57] Yeah.

[00:53:57] It's like you talking, but it's like, you know, I just need to say this to somebody.

[00:54:02] Right.

[00:54:04] I was also going to say.

[00:54:06] So, you know, one thing I try not to do, too, is judge people while they do certain things.

[00:54:12] Because, you know, like I always think about me, like if I'm having a bad day, I'm going to act a certain way.

[00:54:17] I mean, you know, nothing crazy, but, you know, I may have a certain disposition and people may not know why.

[00:54:25] So, you know, on the flip side, when I'm around people who are, you know, good people, you know, let's say my people, my boys, you know, I can tell when something is different.

[00:54:35] But I'm not going to try to judge them.

[00:54:37] And, you know, you know, I try to give them the space to kind of open up and, you know, kind of see what's wrong.

[00:54:44] Kind of like Anthony was saying, like, you know, like I'll reach out, you know, I'll see what's wrong.

[00:54:49] OK.

[00:54:50] If something feels different.

[00:54:51] OK, well, you know, let's go grab a drink.

[00:54:53] OK, you know, let's let's go do this.

[00:54:56] Because one one thing they always say is like people with depression suffer in silence.

[00:55:01] And I know times when I and, you know, not even say it may have been depression, but feeling a certain way.

[00:55:08] Sometimes when you're going through stuff, it's hard to reach out to people.

[00:55:12] You know, like it just is like, you know, whether it's finances, relationship, you know, especially if you have a limited support system.

[00:55:20] So, you know, on the flip side, you know, I do agree.

[00:55:23] I think, you know, reaching out to your brothers, checking on them, you know, having them, you know, guy nights, bro nights, whatever it is, you know, they make a lot of difference.

[00:55:34] Yes, they do.

[00:55:37] Listen, also having that support system, having the bro nights.

[00:55:40] Yes, we do.

[00:55:41] So if you with somebody and they can't tell when something wrong with you, something right with you and then I'm making effort to figure out what's going on with you or you're not doing that for them.

[00:55:50] Then you need to leave that person because your spouse or whoever you with is supposed to be that person.

[00:55:57] You know, hey, something right.

[00:55:59] Let's talk about it or just have a heart to heart.

[00:56:02] We all need that.

[00:56:04] I know it's tough to find, but hey, find a way to push through it, though.

[00:56:08] So, fellas, what is something y'all are looking forward to with 2025 right around the corner?

[00:56:17] What's something y'all looking to achieve in 2025?

[00:56:23] One of the things is that for me is to update my website to kind of showcase the services that I have to offer.

[00:56:30] I know I haven't been really showcasing that more.

[00:56:33] I mean, I haven't done that so much in the past.

[00:56:35] So it's my goal to kind of do that for 2025.

[00:56:39] And that's like the immediate thing.

[00:56:40] The second thing is to kind of do maybe two or three speaking gigs.

[00:56:46] I did four this year.

[00:56:49] So I'm looking only to do two next year and hopefully to get one paid one instead of tradeoff on services.

[00:56:57] And then I think the next one is to just kind of stay consistent with the podcast.

[00:57:03] Play around with some more AI tools.

[00:57:05] Help add more AI tools to my team.

[00:57:07] You know, you got to get your clud.

[00:57:10] You got clud, chat, GBT.

[00:57:12] I got notebook, L.M., napkin, L.M.

[00:57:15] Me, not napkin, L.M., napkin AI.

[00:57:17] Working on crayon.

[00:57:19] Just playing around with perplexity.

[00:57:22] So, you know, just working on different tools to kind of help, you know, strategize and add more value coming forward.

[00:57:30] And I'm sorry.

[00:57:31] Oh, I'm sorry.

[00:57:33] Yeah.

[00:57:33] I was going to say, I think my biggest thing is really to develop the MBG podcast network.

[00:57:38] I think our goal is probably right around about 40 or 50 podcasts.

[00:57:44] And then with that, really start monetizing.

[00:57:47] So I know in the new year we're going to be reaching out to advertisers, looking for more partnerships, collaborations.

[00:57:55] And hopefully that can, I mean, not only bring more visibility and listeners and downloads, but also more money that we can transfer to the podcasters who are under our umbrella.

[00:58:08] So that's one.

[00:58:11] Two, and I didn't mention it, my wife and I, we own a campground in Delaware.

[00:58:17] So this year we're hoping to really expand the events we have and rentals and, you know, all that good stuff.

[00:58:28] And then the last thing is really probably just being able to, and I'll probably just say reclaim my time.

[00:58:36] You know, I feel like 2024 was like a grind, a hustle.

[00:58:42] I did not have time for myself and I didn't have time for some of the things I wanted to make time for as much as I would like.

[00:58:48] So really to probably just be better at time management, more self-care, whatever that looks like, vacations, relaxing, hang out with friends, stuff like that.

[00:59:01] But, you know, really just, well, I mean, really just reclaiming my time, time management.

[00:59:08] Yes.

[00:59:09] I feel all of those things, guys, because I need to reclaim my time myself because it's like some of these damn jobs and stuff.

[00:59:17] So it's like, I definitely want to have more speaking gigs.

[00:59:21] I want to have like do some more live shows because I know the season finale is going to be live in a different state.

[00:59:29] That's been confirmed.

[00:59:30] More details on that coming soon.

[00:59:32] But I do know the season premiere might be in New York working on those things.

[00:59:37] I want to do like, say, I want to do some more speaking gigs as well.

[00:59:40] So I probably need to sit down with somebody to help me map all this out.

[00:59:44] So if y'all know anybody that want to help map everything out, probably figure out what AI tools I need to be using and stuff.

[00:59:52] So they'll get some instructions to organization because we need to, I want to like build on this thing as well.

[00:59:58] So that way I can show people everything I have to offer because I'm only getting older.

[01:00:04] You know, you get tired of dealing with corporate America.

[01:00:06] And it's like, if I can already use things I'm passionate about, get paid for what I'm passionate about, that'd be what's up.

[01:00:14] So, and I'm also going to take some voice acting classes as well.

[01:00:19] So, and I'm also, I'm just, I'm looking forward to 2025 because I'm also looking forward to the collaborations, the old collaborations, the new collaborations, the people I haven't been on yet.

[01:00:31] Also, I'm also going to get back to be on Instagram live.

[01:00:36] I'm doing a lot more things.

[01:00:37] So that's what's to come with Look at Talk and myself for 2025.

[01:00:41] I'm definitely looking forward to it all and just look forward to just diving ahead in.

[01:00:46] And ladies and gentlemen, like I said on the last episode, don't wait till the new year to say you want to do something.

[01:00:52] If you want to do something, go ahead and come up with a plan and just go ahead and start doing it because the start of the year ain't promised to everybody.

[01:00:59] So don't sit around and wait for, oh, I'm going to wait there because if you keep pushing up, you're always going to keep pushing up.

[01:01:05] Just go ahead and get started.

[01:01:06] Whether it's beautiful, it don't got to be beautiful to start off something.

[01:01:10] Start ugly and work through it.

[01:01:12] You know what I'm saying?

[01:01:12] Because if you get started, you'll perfect it over time.

[01:01:17] Yeah.

[01:01:18] Can I have one thing?

[01:01:20] If you don't mind.

[01:01:21] Oh, go ahead.

[01:01:21] Go ahead.

[01:01:22] Because I think you were talking about, so I just lost it.

[01:01:26] But as far as like AI tools and you wanted to kind of play around with those, just which one is it like that you're looking to get done first?

[01:01:37] I would say definitely I want to get the website done or get the website done first.

[01:01:42] And also possibly the transcripts as well.

[01:01:46] Okay.

[01:01:47] So I can help you out with transcripts.

[01:01:48] Just go to eddie.headliner.app.

[01:01:51] But you can get all your, it gives you the blog posts, the keywords, quotes from everybody is saying, the transcripts.

[01:02:01] You can even edit the transcripts live.

[01:02:03] And it'll give you so much more.

[01:02:06] Because that's what I use.

[01:02:07] If you already have it on YouTube, it'll automatically look at your old RSS feed and just give you everything you need right then and there.

[01:02:13] Nice.

[01:02:13] And if you want an audiogram, it gets all that in there too.

[01:02:16] Nice.

[01:02:17] So that's a tip.

[01:02:18] Yeah.

[01:02:18] Just add the DM to info over to me as well.

[01:02:21] So now which ones, I forgot.

[01:02:24] Damn, I lost my train of thought, y'all.

[01:02:26] It'll come back to me because that was another one I was wondering about as well.

[01:02:31] And Victor, I was going to say real quick too, via the platform we use, Podbean, there's an option when you upload your show.

[01:02:43] You can select their AI features and they automatically do transcripts as well included.

[01:02:50] So that might be an option as well.

[01:02:53] All right.

[01:02:54] That's right.

[01:02:54] I did see that.

[01:02:55] I just wasn't sure if it was, whether it was going to be some of that charge y'all additionally as well.

[01:03:00] Because I think I saw that.

[01:03:03] Yeah.

[01:03:03] Yeah.

[01:03:03] Well, I mean, yes, they do charge it.

[01:03:05] But I mean, we got it for y'all.

[01:03:07] So y'all might as well use it up.

[01:03:10] No, Zalyn, that's cool.

[01:03:11] I mean, why are you talking about all the cool features you have on your network?

[01:03:15] Yep.

[01:03:15] So this is actually through Podbean.

[01:03:17] That's a platform we're on.

[01:03:20] But they have an AI, and I just call it like an AI editor feature.

[01:03:25] So it does a couple of things.

[01:03:27] It takes out some of the like eyes and ums, takes out some of that.

[01:03:32] It does some voice leveling.

[01:03:34] So, you know, you know how like one host may be louder and the other, you know, does that.

[01:03:38] But it does, it takes out background or white noise.

[01:03:42] So one of the examples they had is like, you know, if you're in a car and you know, you hear that traffic going by, it takes that out.

[01:03:50] And then it also does, it does a suggested title.

[01:03:55] It does a suggested description.

[01:03:58] And it does show notes with chapter markers.

[01:04:04] Also, real quick, I'm actually going to give this app.

[01:04:07] We're using Riverside.

[01:04:09] Riverside does that as well.

[01:04:10] So I'll give them a shout out as well because they have that as well on show notes as well.

[01:04:16] So I will give that to them as well because they pull that same thing.

[01:04:20] So I'll definitely give them that.

[01:04:23] So, but ladies and gentlemen, fellas, I want to thank y'all for joining me.

[01:04:29] Thank you.

[01:04:30] Listen, I'm going to give y'all one minute.

[01:04:32] Go ahead and close with one final thought for 2024.

[01:04:36] Whichever one y'all want to go first.

[01:04:38] I go first because you got a platform over there.

[01:04:43] So, again, my name is Anthony Weaver, host of the About That Wilder podcast.

[01:04:47] One of the things that I do want to leave everybody with that you can kind of write down for 2025 if you haven't done so already,

[01:04:55] which is I use this acronym called BIKE.

[01:04:57] So, B for budgeting.

[01:04:59] I is for income.

[01:05:01] K is for knowledge.

[01:05:03] E is for execution.

[01:05:04] I want you to go ahead on and start learning that because once you're on your bike, you can always fall off,

[01:05:10] but you never forget how to ride that bike.

[01:05:11] You can get back on it and let's get it going.

[01:05:14] I like that.

[01:05:16] Nice.

[01:05:16] Damn, damn.

[01:05:17] Now I got to follow that?

[01:05:21] Everybody, this is Leonard Young, CEO of National Black Guide, MBG Podcast Network.

[01:05:28] I think what I'd like to leave everybody with is a quote that I always think of and it's,

[01:05:33] it's every master was once a student.

[01:05:36] And basically, I mean, we all know what that means, but my interpretation is that anytime you start something,

[01:05:43] you know, you're not going to be great.

[01:05:44] You're not going to be perfect.

[01:05:46] To be honest, you might be terrible, but if you keep on working and you keep your dedicated, consistent,

[01:05:53] then eventually, you know, you may not be a master, but you'll be a ton better than what you were.

[01:05:58] And the longer you work at stuff, the better you get at it.

[01:06:01] Hmm.

[01:06:02] That's real.

[01:06:03] Y'all gave some really good thoughts.

[01:06:05] So now I'm going to leave my listeners with something.

[01:06:09] Ladies and gentlemen, as we close 2024, I want you guys to do one thing.

[01:06:15] Whatever happened in 2024, let's leave it in 2024.

[01:06:19] The wins, let's build on them.

[01:06:21] Let's make some more wins.

[01:06:23] Let's turn some more, let's get some more W's.

[01:06:25] The losses, let's look at them as lessons.

[01:06:28] Let's learn from them.

[01:06:29] What can we do to get better from them?

[01:06:31] Learn from your lessons.

[01:06:32] Learn from the losses.

[01:06:34] And I don't care if you had a whole bunch of wins, a whole bunch of losses.

[01:06:37] Leave it in 2024.

[01:06:38] Let's not dwell on the past because if you sit time to dwell on it, you're going to 2020, 25, 25 is going to go right past you.

[01:06:46] So let's not dwell on the good, the bad.

[01:06:49] Let's keep it pushing.

[01:06:51] And because it's only up from here, no matter how hard you can go, you got to be limitless, ladies and gentlemen.

[01:06:57] Let's be limitless.

[01:06:58] Let's be unstoppable in 2025.

[01:07:00] Fellas, I want to thank the both of you for coming through on the last men's round sessions.

[01:07:05] If you ever want to come back on the men's round sessions, I do this every month with some men.

[01:07:10] We have round tables and stuff.

[01:07:12] Shout out to my two guys that couldn't make it tonight.

[01:07:15] Always got love for them as well because they always show up for me.

[01:07:17] So I'm not going to hold it to them, you know.

[01:07:19] So how can the people get in touch with y'all?

[01:07:23] You can follow me at About That Wallet on all social media platforms, including Blue Sky, Twitter, Facebook, wherever you want to go.

[01:08:30] We're going to get back to y'all.

[01:08:32] Until the next episode, we're out of this thing.

[01:08:34] One last time for 2024 or 2025.

[01:08:38] We're on your ass.

[01:08:39] We're out of this thing, y'all.

[01:08:40] Peace.

[01:08:41] Peace.
