00:02:26 --> 00:02:28 um I am in a season of being very
00:02:28 --> 00:02:31 intentional and a little
00:02:31 --> 00:02:32 transactional I know people don't want
00:02:32 --> 00:02:35 to say that out loud everyone will say
00:02:35 --> 00:02:37 oh I'm not transactional I'm a giver and
00:02:37 --> 00:02:38 I am but I'm very transactional in the
00:02:39 --> 00:02:41 season and I'm making friendships on
00:02:41 --> 00:02:44 purpose for purpose you know and I don't
00:02:44 --> 00:02:45 want to be connected with anybody who's
00:02:45 --> 00:02:47 not doing something that I want to do
00:02:47 --> 00:02:49 going somewhere that I don't want to go
00:02:49 --> 00:02:52 I want some rich friends in this hour
00:02:52 --> 00:02:56 Pastor I the women who are talking Rich
00:02:56 --> 00:02:58 talk talking about business and success
00:02:58 --> 00:03:00 and doing some amazing things

00:04:18 --> 00:04:21 who you are all about you because I
00:04:21 --> 00:04:22 don't know much about you so I'm gonna
00:04:22 --> 00:04:24 learn with everybody else
00:04:24 --> 00:04:28 okay well hello everyone uh my name is
00:04:28 --> 00:04:31 Pastor Tiffany SOA and I am the founder
00:04:31 --> 00:04:34 of the mornings with God Ministry uh we
00:04:34 --> 00:04:39 just celebrated 10 years of ministry uh
00:04:39 --> 00:04:41 yeah 10 years of ministry it started out
00:04:41 --> 00:04:43 as a
00:04:43 --> 00:04:47 bi-weekly uh pre-recorded message of
00:04:47 --> 00:04:49 encouragement for business owners um I
00:04:49 --> 00:04:51 also have a a business background which
00:04:51 --> 00:04:54 I'll get into in a second but it started
00:04:54 --> 00:04:57 out as that just a pre-recorded message
00:04:57 --> 00:05:00 for the business owners and just over
00:05:00 --> 00:05:03 the years it turned into books and uh I
00:05:03 --> 00:05:07 just started acknowledging mornings with
00:05:07 --> 00:05:10 God as a Ministry probably like a year
00:05:10 --> 00:05:13 or two ago like it had really yes yes
00:05:13 --> 00:05:15 that was something that was like really
00:05:15 --> 00:05:21 hard for me to say I think because I um
00:05:21 --> 00:05:25 just always I always understood the
00:05:25 --> 00:05:29 responsibility of ministry right that um
00:05:29 --> 00:05:30 I've been
00:05:30 --> 00:05:32 you know blessed to be behind the scenes
00:05:32 --> 00:05:34 with other Ministries with other
00:05:34 --> 00:05:37 churches and particularly Church plants
00:05:37 --> 00:05:39 um and then also of course being in
00:05:39 --> 00:05:42 seminary has just given me so much
00:05:42 --> 00:05:45 respect and honor for the establishment
00:05:45 --> 00:05:48 of a Ministry um and in the beginning
00:05:48 --> 00:05:50 like we didn't have Community like a
00:05:50 --> 00:05:53 formal Community we had that now but in
00:05:53 --> 00:05:56 the beginning we didn't have a a social
00:05:56 --> 00:06:00 media page we didn't have um an email
00:06:00 --> 00:06:02 list we didn't have any of those things
00:06:02 --> 00:06:05 everything was really just off of my
00:06:05 --> 00:06:09 personal social media for about seven or
00:06:09 --> 00:06:11 eight of those 10 years so for most of
00:06:11 --> 00:06:14 the years it was just me kind of as an
00:06:14 --> 00:06:17 extension of who I am um and we would
00:06:17 --> 00:06:20 gather Community from time to time for
00:06:20 --> 00:06:23 specific events but nothing that was
00:06:23 --> 00:06:25 ongoing nothing that you know was
00:06:25 --> 00:06:27 longterm or consistent where it came to
00:06:27 --> 00:06:29 building a community and like I said
00:06:29 --> 00:06:32 said for me I think that I just have
00:06:32 --> 00:06:35 such a respect and honor for the process
00:06:35 --> 00:06:39 of and the responsibility of leading a
00:06:39 --> 00:06:41 Ministry of people of shepherding those
00:06:41 --> 00:06:47 people that not be their Pastor per se
00:06:47 --> 00:06:50 but when people are consistently coming
00:06:50 --> 00:06:53 to you and looking to you for wisdom you
00:06:53 --> 00:06:56 are discipling them at the least right
00:06:56 --> 00:06:59 um but you are also shepherding some of
00:06:59 --> 00:07:01 those people as well and there was just
00:07:01 --> 00:07:04 such a I recognized the great
00:07:04 --> 00:07:06 responsibility of that and at the
00:07:06 --> 00:07:09 appointed time God was like no this is
00:07:09 --> 00:07:12 what it's called that you've been doing
00:07:12 --> 00:07:15 um and we just began to you know use
00:07:15 --> 00:07:17 different language around what we were
00:07:17 --> 00:07:21 building but yeah so 10 years um in
00:07:21 --> 00:07:23 January uh you know that's our our
00:07:23 --> 00:07:26 anniversary Falls in January so 10 years
00:07:26 --> 00:07:29 um I've been licensed in Ministry for
00:07:29 --> 00:07:33 for uh probably about five years now um
00:07:33 --> 00:07:36 and have been serving for over 13 years
00:07:36 --> 00:07:39 so it's been a really long um Journey so
00:07:39 --> 00:07:41 far not as long as I hope that it will
00:07:41 --> 00:07:44 be um I I believe that it'll be a
00:07:44 --> 00:07:46 lifelong journey but yeah that that's
00:07:46 --> 00:07:49 what I do ministry wise and um I'm
00:07:49 --> 00:07:52 honored to to lead these people I'm
00:07:52 --> 00:07:54 honored to disciple them I'm honored to
00:07:54 --> 00:07:56 Journey with them and to do you know
00:07:56 --> 00:07:59 what God has called and created me to do
00:07:59 --> 00:08:02 I love that see I I knew it was 10 years
00:08:02 --> 00:08:05 and I think it was today right you said
00:08:05 --> 00:08:07 today is
00:08:07 --> 00:08:10 January okay which is 12 is my number so
00:08:10 --> 00:08:12 I'll tell you about that later on but I
00:08:12 --> 00:08:14 was like oh wow that's a I think this
00:08:14 --> 00:08:17 this year is when I started my Ministry
00:08:17 --> 00:08:21 not this year but this month um in
00:08:21 --> 00:08:24 2014 love that so I was like okay so
00:08:24 --> 00:08:27 yeah we were kind of and neck and neck
00:08:27 --> 00:08:28 yeah yeah and just like you so to hear
00:08:28 --> 00:08:30 you say a long time I'm like oh my
00:08:30 --> 00:08:32 goodness that passed so fast I had to
00:08:32 --> 00:08:34 kind of like go back and like count the
00:08:34 --> 00:08:36 the years of how many how long we've
00:08:36 --> 00:08:38 been Gathering um to pray and just like
00:08:38 --> 00:08:40 you but I would have never thought that
00:08:40 --> 00:08:42 because I mean your work is now you say
00:08:42 --> 00:08:44 you have a business background makes
00:08:44 --> 00:08:46 total sense everything is so elegant and
00:08:46 --> 00:08:50 so put together um did you know you were
00:08:50 --> 00:08:51 gonna like okay so we're gonna go back a
00:08:51 --> 00:08:53 little bit but um you said you're
00:08:53 --> 00:08:55 pastoring now did you know that you were
00:08:55 --> 00:08:56 going to be pastoring did you always
00:08:56 --> 00:08:57 know that about yourself that God
00:08:57 --> 00:09:01 revealed that to you earlier no uh no no
00:09:01 --> 00:09:06 um I will be honest and say that I had
00:09:06 --> 00:09:10 explicitly told the Lord more than once
00:09:10 --> 00:09:13 that I did not want to pastor and I
00:09:13 --> 00:09:16 think it's because I again have been
00:09:16 --> 00:09:19 privileged to see the behind the scenes
00:09:19 --> 00:09:22 of leading a Ministry and you know
00:09:22 --> 00:09:24 Building a Church especially from you
00:09:24 --> 00:09:27 know the ground up as a a church plant
00:09:27 --> 00:09:32 that um what I saw uh not not because of
00:09:32 --> 00:09:34 my leaders I've been blessed with really
00:09:34 --> 00:09:37 healthy and good leaders and I know that
00:09:37 --> 00:09:39 I'm very fortunate in that um but the
00:09:39 --> 00:09:42 people it's the people it's the people
00:09:43 --> 00:09:46 it's a lot it's a lot and I have now
00:09:46 --> 00:09:48 served in various Ministry contexts
00:09:48 --> 00:09:51 meaning like I've done the urban inner
00:09:51 --> 00:09:55 city Hood okay like serving in the hood
00:09:55 --> 00:09:59 and then also you know serving in uh
00:09:59 --> 00:10:01 know Ministries that are Suburban you
00:10:02 --> 00:10:04 know everybody is like middle to upper
00:10:04 --> 00:10:06 class and you know it's more like
00:10:06 --> 00:10:09 families and you just don't have the
00:10:09 --> 00:10:12 same set of challenges as you have with
00:10:12 --> 00:10:16 an urban Ministry and um it but in in
00:10:16 --> 00:10:19 both sides you know wherever I found
00:10:19 --> 00:10:23 myself on the Spectrum um I saw the toll
00:10:23 --> 00:10:27 that it took on leaders and I I you know
00:10:27 --> 00:10:29 told the Lord like I love serving being
00:10:29 --> 00:10:32 leaders like I I want to be their
00:10:32 --> 00:10:35 support I want to be you know uh holding
00:10:35 --> 00:10:38 up their their arms I want to help them
00:10:38 --> 00:10:40 with strategy you know I want to do all
00:10:40 --> 00:10:42 of those things right like really
00:10:42 --> 00:10:45 supporting them in the ways that they
00:10:45 --> 00:10:48 needed yes but I didn't want to do it
00:10:48 --> 00:10:51 you know for myself uh but it's almost
00:10:51 --> 00:10:54 comical for me to have said that I
00:10:54 --> 00:10:57 didn't want to be a pastor considering
00:10:57 --> 00:11:01 that there is a rich lineage of church
00:11:01 --> 00:11:03 leadership and Ministry leadership on
00:11:03 --> 00:11:07 both sides of my family grandparents
00:11:07 --> 00:11:10 great grandparents pastoring churches
00:11:10 --> 00:11:11 leading
00:11:11 --> 00:11:14 Ministries sering in ministries we got
00:11:14 --> 00:11:17 deacons and trustees and Deacon and
00:11:17 --> 00:11:20 Minister and you know just the it really
00:11:20 --> 00:11:22 just runs the gamut um when I look at
00:11:22 --> 00:11:25 those who have come before me in my
00:11:25 --> 00:11:28 family on both sides uh it's in me it it
00:11:28 --> 00:11:29 really is it's in me
00:11:29 --> 00:11:33 um so I'm not surprised by it but I I I
00:11:33 --> 00:11:35 didn't go looking for this at all so
00:11:35 --> 00:11:37 let's go there okay so I'm glad you said
00:11:37 --> 00:11:40 that so just to give some background so
00:11:40 --> 00:11:41 um because I want to ask my next
00:11:41 --> 00:11:43 question I'm like okay so this is the
00:11:43 --> 00:11:45 birthing room and we all talk we always
00:11:45 --> 00:11:48 talk about how we birth into our season
00:11:48 --> 00:11:51 like you know how do we get here when
00:11:51 --> 00:11:53 did you hear the call so you came from a
00:11:53 --> 00:11:56 family that was so you grew up in church
00:11:56 --> 00:11:58 you knew who the Lord was you went to
00:11:58 --> 00:11:59 church probably all your life probably
00:11:59 --> 00:12:01 you know um so give us something about
00:12:01 --> 00:12:03 the journey
00:12:03 --> 00:12:07 here yes so um I did I've gone to church
00:12:07 --> 00:12:11 um I would say for most of my life um I
00:12:11 --> 00:12:13 think that obviously the older that I've
00:12:13 --> 00:12:16 gotten or as I got older I was able to
00:12:16 --> 00:12:18 make my own decisions about what
00:12:18 --> 00:12:21 relationship with Christ would look like
00:12:21 --> 00:12:23 um and when I was younger of course I
00:12:23 --> 00:12:24 was just going because it was the
00:12:24 --> 00:12:27 requirement of our home um and for the
00:12:27 --> 00:12:30 most part I will say like 90% of my life
00:12:30 --> 00:12:31 I don't want to make it seem like you
00:12:31 --> 00:12:34 know I was in church every single Sunday
00:12:34 --> 00:12:37 but the majority of my life right my
00:12:37 --> 00:12:40 family has been a churchgoing family and
00:12:40 --> 00:12:43 again I think it comes from those older
00:12:43 --> 00:12:45 family members as they evolved and
00:12:45 --> 00:12:48 matured and excelled in Ministry it was
00:12:48 --> 00:12:49 kind of like you know the family would
00:12:49 --> 00:12:51 come along uh and it's just like you
00:12:51 --> 00:12:53 know what's been passed down through the
00:12:53 --> 00:12:55 years and I'm blessed to have that type
00:12:55 --> 00:12:59 of generational blessing so um good yeah
00:12:59 --> 00:13:02 it is it's it's really a blessing really
00:13:02 --> 00:13:04 always you know kind of went to church
00:13:04 --> 00:13:05 um I gave my life to Christ at the age
00:13:05 --> 00:13:08 of nine of my own doing um I was at
00:13:08 --> 00:13:12 Vacation Bible School in uh Louisville
00:13:12 --> 00:13:15 Kentucky at Forest Tabernacle uh Baptist
00:13:15 --> 00:13:16 I think it's a Baptist Church Forest
00:13:16 --> 00:13:18 Tabernacle Baptist Church in Louisville
00:13:18 --> 00:13:23 Kentucky and um I remember that the the
00:13:23 --> 00:13:25 teachers or the leaders of the vacation
00:13:25 --> 00:13:27 bible school they were talking about
00:13:27 --> 00:13:30 this man named Jesus and whatever it was
00:13:30 --> 00:13:33 that they were saying I wanted to know
00:13:33 --> 00:13:35 this person you know that this Jesus
00:13:35 --> 00:13:37 that they were talking about and when
00:13:37 --> 00:13:40 the opportunity was extended I said yes
00:13:40 --> 00:13:43 um I think they told my stepmom first
00:13:43 --> 00:13:45 and then she told my dad and we talked
00:13:45 --> 00:13:47 about it and like my mom and you know
00:13:47 --> 00:13:49 all of those things but yeah I made the
00:13:49 --> 00:13:51 decision on my own in vacation bible
00:13:52 --> 00:13:55 school and um from there I would say
00:13:55 --> 00:13:58 that life got a little bit tricky so uh
00:13:58 --> 00:14:01 you know my parents uh got divorced when
00:14:01 --> 00:14:05 I was 9 years old um and my mom and my
00:14:06 --> 00:14:08 brother and I moved from Louisville
00:14:08 --> 00:14:10 Kentucky to Baltimore Maryland two
00:14:10 --> 00:14:14 totally different cities to absolutely
00:14:14 --> 00:14:16 oh two totally different places and it
00:14:16 --> 00:14:18 was a really rough adjustment for me
00:14:18 --> 00:14:20 like a very very rough adjustment I
00:14:20 --> 00:14:23 spent you know my later years of
00:14:23 --> 00:14:25 elementary school and all of Middle
00:14:25 --> 00:14:29 School um getting suspended fighting
00:14:29 --> 00:14:32 cussing out teachers um just being
00:14:32 --> 00:14:35 disrespectful being disobedient all of
00:14:35 --> 00:14:37 these things and of course now that I'm
00:14:37 --> 00:14:40 older and have you know spiritual
00:14:40 --> 00:14:43 understanding spiritual maturity uh you
00:14:43 --> 00:14:45 know I understand how to view things
00:14:45 --> 00:14:47 through like therapeutic lenses and all
00:14:47 --> 00:14:50 of that I'm like okay you know we're
00:14:50 --> 00:14:52 well resourced now right like we Wen as
00:14:53 --> 00:14:55 well resource when I was n years old now
00:14:56 --> 00:14:57 if a nine-year-old is acting like this
00:14:57 --> 00:14:59 or parents go through divorces is like
00:14:59 --> 00:15:01 oh you put them in therapy and like help
00:15:01 --> 00:15:02 them figure out how to identify their
00:15:02 --> 00:15:06 feelings and all those
00:15:06 --> 00:15:09 things no you gotta beat in this was a
00:15:09 --> 00:15:12 fact okay a whole lot of right or put on
00:15:12 --> 00:15:16 punishment oh I spent two and a half of
00:15:16 --> 00:15:17 my three years of Middle School on
00:15:17 --> 00:15:19 punishment no exaggeration like oh my
00:15:19 --> 00:15:21 whole childhood I was either I was on
00:15:21 --> 00:15:22 punishment or I was in jail or in a
00:15:23 --> 00:15:25 group home yeah one or the other yeah
00:15:25 --> 00:15:28 but it was like in that order yeah yeah
00:15:28 --> 00:15:31 it was um um it it was it was a rough
00:15:31 --> 00:15:33 upbringing and like I said just also
00:15:33 --> 00:15:35 adapting to having to be like a
00:15:35 --> 00:15:38 different person in Baltimore like in in
00:15:38 --> 00:15:41 Louisville I didn't have to be hard I
00:15:41 --> 00:15:43 didn't have to be tough I didn't have to
00:15:43 --> 00:15:45 like really defend myself I didn't deal
00:15:45 --> 00:15:47 with bullies I didn't have any of those
00:15:47 --> 00:15:49 things um but moving to Baltimore there
00:15:49 --> 00:15:52 was a lot of that um in addition to like
00:15:52 --> 00:15:54 I said just navigating moving navigating
00:15:55 --> 00:15:58 divorce and all of those things so um
00:15:58 --> 00:16:00 the the the adolescent years were really
00:16:00 --> 00:16:02 really rough and even into my first
00:16:02 --> 00:16:04 couple of years of high school um was
00:16:04 --> 00:16:08 very rough but around the time that I uh
00:16:08 --> 00:16:10 knew that I was old enough to start
00:16:10 --> 00:16:13 driving and to start working my mom was
00:16:13 --> 00:16:15 very clear she's like if you don't get
00:16:16 --> 00:16:17 it together you won't be doing any of
00:16:17 --> 00:16:19 those things like it's a privilege to
00:16:19 --> 00:16:21 work it's a privilege to drive and for
00:16:21 --> 00:16:23 me that that was like the Catalyst I

00:16:41 --> 00:16:44 that I observed in those years is one
00:16:44 --> 00:16:46 that my mother never stopped praying
00:16:46 --> 00:16:48 like we knew when my mother's door was
00:16:48 --> 00:16:51 closed that like she
00:16:51 --> 00:16:53 was you first of all you better not
00:16:53 --> 00:16:55 knock on the door to ask nothing go sit
00:16:55 --> 00:16:57 down find something to do in the house
00:16:57 --> 00:16:59 like can we stop right there stop right
00:16:59 --> 00:17:01 there do you have children uh I don't
00:17:01 --> 00:17:04 have biological children now okay let
00:17:04 --> 00:17:06 let me tell well I'm I'm also blended
00:17:06 --> 00:17:08 family here I do have a biolog some
00:17:08 --> 00:17:10 blended family here and I remember
00:17:10 --> 00:17:12 because you saying that and we don't see
00:17:12 --> 00:17:13 that anymore so I don't want to take a
00:17:13 --> 00:17:15 commercial break real fast y'all your
00:17:15 --> 00:17:16 children should know you have a prayer
00:17:16 --> 00:17:19 time amen we knew we had to get to that
00:17:19 --> 00:17:22 room before Mama closed that door
00:17:22 --> 00:17:23 because once she closed that door you
00:17:23 --> 00:17:24 couldn't go to the skating ring cuz your
00:17:24 --> 00:17:26 friends got to leave you cuz you can't
00:17:26 --> 00:17:27 you better not ask and you don't know
00:17:27 --> 00:17:30 how long this prayer about to take
00:17:30 --> 00:17:33 exactly you know how long unless the
00:17:33 --> 00:17:37 house was on fire you did not disrupt
00:17:37 --> 00:17:40 prayer time nope when my kids see me get
00:17:40 --> 00:17:43 to this door right here they already
00:17:43 --> 00:17:46 know that they may not see me for a
00:17:46 --> 00:17:48 couple hours they run please please
00:17:48 --> 00:17:50 please before you go close that door
00:17:50 --> 00:17:52 yeah I don't have to put no sign up yep
00:17:52 --> 00:17:54 listen they it's a bathroom on the side
00:17:54 --> 00:17:57 of that wall they go in the bathroom to

00:18:00 --> 00:18:02 in prayer well they want see if I'm
00:18:02 --> 00:18:04 talking on the phone or not they they
00:18:04 --> 00:18:07 hear they already know they okay they
00:18:07 --> 00:18:11 thank you you can forget it you and they
00:18:11 --> 00:18:12 like you know I was hungry but I went to
00:18:12 --> 00:18:14 bed because I wasn't sure if the food
00:18:14 --> 00:18:17 was okay well baby listen God you w
00:18:17 --> 00:18:19 gonna die but go ahead I just want to
00:18:19 --> 00:18:21 say that see folk don't have no prayer
00:18:21 --> 00:18:23 time no more so you don't those a good
00:18:23 --> 00:18:27 old days M see you praying um and I'm
00:18:27 --> 00:18:29 really grateful for that of course when
00:18:29 --> 00:18:31 I was younger you know you're impatient
00:18:31 --> 00:18:32 you don't fully understand what's
00:18:32 --> 00:18:34 happening but those are very Vivid
00:18:34 --> 00:18:36 memories that I have of my childhood is
00:18:36 --> 00:18:39 like when that door was closed that that
00:18:39 --> 00:18:42 meant that she was praying and not to be
00:18:42 --> 00:18:44 disturbed um so that's one of the things
00:18:45 --> 00:18:48 that I recall from those years and
00:18:48 --> 00:18:51 excuse me and that she kept us in church
00:18:51 --> 00:18:53 it was those two things like every
00:18:53 --> 00:18:56 Sunday again you know there there were
00:18:56 --> 00:18:58 different periods where maybe we didn't
00:18:58 --> 00:18:59 attend as frequently or whatever the
00:18:59 --> 00:19:03 case was but I vividly remember
00:19:03 --> 00:19:05 basically every Sunday of my life that
00:19:05 --> 00:19:07 we you know went to church and those
00:19:07 --> 00:19:09 things did make a difference and I would
00:19:09 --> 00:19:11 encourage anyone and I do encourage
00:19:11 --> 00:19:14 people especially now leading a Ministry
00:19:14 --> 00:19:16 um I don't have biological children me
00:19:16 --> 00:19:17 me and my husband don't have biological
00:19:17 --> 00:19:20 children um but I have God children and
00:19:20 --> 00:19:23 you know I have been with them literally
00:19:23 --> 00:19:25 from the day that they were born um and
00:19:25 --> 00:19:29 now my oldest she's an adult now but um
00:19:29 --> 00:19:33 I uh what I would say to like this this
00:19:33 --> 00:19:35 generation of people and parents and
00:19:35 --> 00:19:38 what I encourage people to do especially
00:19:38 --> 00:19:41 those who are parents is keep praying
00:19:41 --> 00:19:43 for your children keep talking to them
00:19:43 --> 00:19:47 and again now we are more resourced as
00:19:47 --> 00:19:50 parents than we were you know 20 years
00:19:50 --> 00:19:52 ago when my goddaughter was born or you
00:19:52 --> 00:19:55 know 35 plus years ago when I was a
00:19:55 --> 00:19:57 child and you know when my mom was a
00:19:57 --> 00:19:59 child like we just have more access to
00:19:59 --> 00:20:02 resources now but the the greatest
00:20:02 --> 00:20:04 resource that you can have as a parent
00:20:04 --> 00:20:07 is prayer the greatest resource and the
00:20:07 --> 00:20:09 the the the best thing that you can
00:20:09 --> 00:20:12 expose your children to is not just a
00:20:12 --> 00:20:15 spiritual life but a church life a life
00:20:15 --> 00:20:18 that Fellowship in a spiritual Community
00:20:18 --> 00:20:21 like it it can't it can't be matched so
00:20:21 --> 00:20:24 that's um that was like my you know high
00:20:24 --> 00:20:27 school years um and then I went to
00:20:27 --> 00:20:30 college right um went to college in
00:20:30 --> 00:20:32 Philadelphia lived in Philadelphia for
00:20:32 --> 00:20:37 14 years um and my first real
00:20:37 --> 00:20:40 encounter with relationship with the
00:20:40 --> 00:20:44 Lord was not until about the importance
00:20:44 --> 00:20:46 of relationship right because again I
00:20:46 --> 00:20:49 had been going to church and doing the
00:20:49 --> 00:20:50 things because that's what I had grown
00:20:50 --> 00:20:53 up seeing but my first when I first
00:20:53 --> 00:20:55 understood the importance of
00:20:55 --> 00:20:58 relationship with Jesus was uh when I I
00:20:58 --> 00:21:01 was 22 years old I had just turned 22
00:21:01 --> 00:21:04 years old and I had gotten pregnant out
00:21:04 --> 00:21:09 of wedlock and opted to have an abortion
00:21:09 --> 00:21:13 um and at the time of course I didn't
00:21:13 --> 00:21:18 understand the Grievous nature of that
00:21:18 --> 00:21:20 decision um and didn't understand it
00:21:20 --> 00:21:21 when the second one happened but I'm
00:21:21 --> 00:21:24 gonna get to that in the second so um
00:21:24 --> 00:21:27 this uh you know first one um it left me
00:21:27 --> 00:21:29 and this is you know when we talk about
00:21:29 --> 00:21:32 things that are birthed out of you one
00:21:32 --> 00:21:35 of the that has been birthed from that
00:21:35 --> 00:21:37 is uh an event that the ministry does
00:21:37 --> 00:21:40 called Waring for the womb and it's more
00:21:40 --> 00:21:42 than just an event it's really a
00:21:42 --> 00:21:44 movement um and my grandmother has
00:21:44 --> 00:21:47 prophesied over this movement you know
00:21:47 --> 00:21:49 over this event and calling get a
00:21:49 --> 00:21:51 movement now for at least like the past
00:21:51 --> 00:21:53 year so I'm really excited to see like
00:21:53 --> 00:21:57 where this goes um but the um just the
00:21:57 --> 00:22:00 pain and the emptiness and I don't want
00:22:00 --> 00:22:01 to get into you know too many like
00:22:01 --> 00:22:04 graphic details or anything like that
00:22:04 --> 00:22:07 but it is something that you never ever
00:22:07 --> 00:22:10 ever get over like you don't never you
00:22:10 --> 00:22:13 think you do at the moment yeah but then
00:22:13 --> 00:22:14 later on it's like it's always a thought
00:22:14 --> 00:22:16 like you know what they would be this
00:22:16 --> 00:22:19 old or this would be this yep I've been
00:22:19 --> 00:22:23 there I had one too yeah yeah so um that
00:22:23 --> 00:22:27 was though I think the Catalyst and
00:22:27 --> 00:22:30 again now in my spiritual maturity I
00:22:30 --> 00:22:34 know that it is not necessary for us to
00:22:34 --> 00:22:38 go through these Grievous horrible
00:22:38 --> 00:22:40 things in order to have relationship
00:22:40 --> 00:22:42 with God right you don't have to have
00:22:42 --> 00:22:45 the craziest testimony you don't have to
00:22:45 --> 00:22:48 have the most complex testimony in order
00:22:48 --> 00:22:51 to develop relationship with God my hope
00:22:52 --> 00:22:53 for my children is that they don't
00:22:53 --> 00:22:56 experience half any of it yeah like I
00:22:56 --> 00:22:58 don't want them to experience any of it
00:22:58 --> 00:23:00 I hope that they use my story and you
00:23:00 --> 00:23:02 know the things that I've gone through
00:23:02 --> 00:23:04 so that they don't have to go through it
00:23:04 --> 00:23:06 but that was what the Catalyst was for
00:23:06 --> 00:23:09 me yes and funny enough I ended up at a
00:23:09 --> 00:23:12 church with the name Catalyst right um
00:23:12 --> 00:23:16 and um yeah I a girlfriend invited me to
00:23:16 --> 00:23:19 church um she kept inviting me and she
00:23:19 --> 00:23:20 kept saying she had been going there for
00:23:20 --> 00:23:22 a while and she's like they have a
00:23:22 --> 00:23:24 really great like college Ministry um
00:23:24 --> 00:23:26 our pastor at the time was like really
00:23:26 --> 00:23:28 young and she's like girl like this is
00:23:28 --> 00:23:29 this is a good you know Ministry for us
00:23:29 --> 00:23:33 to be connected to um and sure enough I
00:23:33 --> 00:23:35 went and visited one Sunday uh I told
00:23:36 --> 00:23:38 myself I was gonna shop around I didn't
00:23:38 --> 00:23:40 go to another church for an entire month
00:23:40 --> 00:23:42 and then a month later she invited me
00:23:42 --> 00:23:44 again I went back and that day I joined
00:23:44 --> 00:23:48 and that began that not only began my
00:23:48 --> 00:23:51 developing a relationship with God but
00:23:51 --> 00:23:55 it also soon after began my journey of
00:23:55 --> 00:23:58 serving in Ministry amen so that's where
00:23:58 --> 00:23:59 you
00:23:59 --> 00:24:02 grew and developed at that church okay
00:24:02 --> 00:24:04 yeah yeah yeah is that you met your
00:24:04 --> 00:24:07 husband no it's not it's not we gonna
00:24:07 --> 00:24:09 get there though we gonna get there okay
00:24:09 --> 00:24:11 take your time I'm enjoy a little bit
00:24:11 --> 00:24:13 more so
00:24:13 --> 00:24:17 my I'm listening I joined um at the time
00:24:17 --> 00:24:18 the church was called Catalyst for
00:24:18 --> 00:24:22 change Church um with h Pastor Keon jro
00:24:22 --> 00:24:25 and um I joined there and you know
00:24:25 --> 00:24:27 literally my friends we still laugh
00:24:27 --> 00:24:29 about this to this day every single
00:24:29 --> 00:24:32 Sunday I was at the altar for alter call
00:24:32 --> 00:24:37 every single Sunday like I so much yes I
00:24:37 --> 00:24:40 needed so much healing and so much
00:24:40 --> 00:24:43 deliverance and I didn't know any other
00:24:43 --> 00:24:45 way to get it but to you know lay my
00:24:45 --> 00:24:47 thing lay my burdens on the Altar and
00:24:47 --> 00:24:50 it's interesting because again nothing
00:24:50 --> 00:24:54 is wasted right that now I am a
00:24:54 --> 00:24:58 prophetic intercessor but I built this
00:24:58 --> 00:25:01 at the altar I know what it is to lay
00:25:01 --> 00:25:04 down your F uh your burdens I know what
00:25:04 --> 00:25:07 it is to crucify your flesh I know what
00:25:07 --> 00:25:09 it is to have Holy Spirit convict you
00:25:09 --> 00:25:12 and comfort you and correct you I know
00:25:12 --> 00:25:16 the power of the Altar and what happens
00:25:16 --> 00:25:18 at God's altar when you really come and
00:25:18 --> 00:25:20 surrender yourself and just lay
00:25:20 --> 00:25:23 everything down so yeah we laugh about
00:25:23 --> 00:25:26 it yeah I was at that altar every single
00:25:26 --> 00:25:28 day it didn't matter what was about
00:25:28 --> 00:25:31 every single Sunday I was at that altar
00:25:31 --> 00:25:33 but there was also a lot that was built
00:25:33 --> 00:25:35 there was language that was built there
00:25:35 --> 00:25:38 was a depth to the relationship and a
00:25:38 --> 00:25:40 vulnerability and a transparency that
00:25:40 --> 00:25:43 was built in my relationship with God
00:25:43 --> 00:25:45 for being at the altar a love and an
00:25:45 --> 00:25:48 honor for his Altar and eventually it
00:25:48 --> 00:25:50 got to the point where I didn't want to
00:25:50 --> 00:25:52 keep coming to the altar dirty I didn't
00:25:52 --> 00:25:55 want to keep dragging my mess and all of
00:25:55 --> 00:25:58 my dirtiness and you know I'm not per
00:25:58 --> 00:26:00 none of us are but there were some
00:26:00 --> 00:26:04 things that I could very clearly let go
00:26:04 --> 00:26:06 um and I didn't want to keep coming to
00:26:06 --> 00:26:09 the altar messy like I had I developed
00:26:09 --> 00:26:12 such a reverence for it which was really
00:26:12 --> 00:26:13 you know the
00:26:13 --> 00:26:17 foundation of um Me growing in uh not
00:26:17 --> 00:26:19 just the operational side of ministry
00:26:19 --> 00:26:21 because for the
00:26:21 --> 00:26:26 first of my 13 years I'mma say at least
00:26:26 --> 00:26:28 eight to 10 of them were like on the
00:26:28 --> 00:26:32 operational side and I remember um I had
00:26:32 --> 00:26:35 started serving on the intercessory
00:26:35 --> 00:26:38 prayer Ministry at Catalyst and I was
00:26:38 --> 00:26:40 once again just persistent invite girl
00:26:41 --> 00:26:42 you need to come to prayer you need to
00:26:42 --> 00:26:43 come to prayer now prayer was on
00:26:43 --> 00:26:46 Saturday mornings at 8: am your girl
00:26:46 --> 00:26:49 wasn't getting home until like 2 three
00:26:49 --> 00:26:51 o'clock in the morning from Friday night
00:26:51 --> 00:26:53 that's right am I going to make it to
00:26:53 --> 00:26:57 prayer on Saturday morning right so even
00:26:57 --> 00:26:59 though I was serving in min Min okay I
00:26:59 --> 00:27:02 still I know okay I have one foot in and
00:27:02 --> 00:27:06 one foot out so I um but uh what began
00:27:06 --> 00:27:09 to happen is that serving in Ministry
00:27:09 --> 00:27:12 became a perfecting work for me that um
00:27:12 --> 00:27:14 you know me and me and my best friend we
00:27:14 --> 00:27:16 tell this story all the time you know
00:27:16 --> 00:27:18 and I'm not glorifying this I'm just
00:27:18 --> 00:27:21 telling my story but there would be
00:27:21 --> 00:27:23 times where we had barely gotten any
00:27:23 --> 00:27:26 sleep the night before but we took our
00:27:26 --> 00:27:29 to prayer hung over I should be drunk
00:27:29 --> 00:27:33 prayer like listen a mess mess but we
00:27:33 --> 00:27:37 were in prayer and eventually again
00:27:37 --> 00:27:39 there started to be this shift where it
00:27:39 --> 00:27:41 was like well I don't want to come into
00:27:41 --> 00:27:43 I don't want to come into God's presence
00:27:43 --> 00:27:45 like that so you know I can't drink on
00:27:45 --> 00:27:47 Friday nights I might do it on Thursday
00:27:47 --> 00:27:48 night or Wednesday night or some other
00:27:48 --> 00:27:50 night but I can't do it on Friday night
00:27:50 --> 00:27:53 and then eventually even that began to
00:27:53 --> 00:27:55 change where I'm like I just I don't
00:27:55 --> 00:27:57 have a desire for this or I don't have a
00:27:57 --> 00:27:59 desire for that I don't want to on New
00:27:59 --> 00:28:02 Year's Eve worship in church change my
00:28:02 --> 00:28:03 clothes in the car and then head to the
00:28:03 --> 00:28:05 nightclub I don't want to do that
00:28:05 --> 00:28:07 anymore but I did it for years I I did
00:28:07 --> 00:28:10 it for years serving in Ministry um but
00:28:10 --> 00:28:13 it was the intercessory prayer Ministry
00:28:13 --> 00:28:17 uh where I again um started to develop a
00:28:17 --> 00:28:20 serious reverence and also an
00:28:20 --> 00:28:22 understanding of my spiritual gifts um
00:28:22 --> 00:28:25 knowing that I needed to be sober uh to
00:28:25 --> 00:28:28 really uh make sure that my gifts were
00:28:29 --> 00:28:31 being used to the glory of God and that
00:28:31 --> 00:28:34 it was God and God Alone who was in
00:28:34 --> 00:28:38 charge of those gifts I remember times
00:28:38 --> 00:28:40 where literally me and my girlfriends we
00:28:41 --> 00:28:43 would get together you know be having
00:28:43 --> 00:28:45 our girls night we got all the food all
00:28:45 --> 00:28:47 the beverages somebody would say
00:28:47 --> 00:28:49 something about the Lord next thing you
00:28:49 --> 00:28:51 know the Holy Spirit then caught fire
00:28:51 --> 00:28:54 church we sliding down the wall but
00:28:54 --> 00:28:56 there came a time where it was like okay
00:28:56 --> 00:29:00 we can't we can't do both we we can't do
00:29:00 --> 00:29:04 both like we gota make a decision is
00:29:04 --> 00:29:05 this what our girls nights will be
00:29:05 --> 00:29:08 comprised of or will they be comprised
00:29:08 --> 00:29:10 of this do we want to do it this way or
00:29:10 --> 00:29:13 will we choose to do it um another way
00:29:13 --> 00:29:16 and it was serving in Ministry that
00:29:16 --> 00:29:18 helped me you know to just get better
00:29:18 --> 00:29:21 and to make those the like start to make
00:29:21 --> 00:29:24 a a clear distinction about the way that
00:29:24 --> 00:29:27 I wanted to live my life yeah yeah yeah
00:29:27 --> 00:29:30 y that's good because and that's real
00:29:30 --> 00:29:32 that's real I I um our testimony is so
00:29:32 --> 00:29:35 much alike so now I know I love you so
00:29:35 --> 00:29:38 much um it it's real because it's so
00:29:38 --> 00:29:41 important that somebody has to be
00:29:41 --> 00:29:43 serious about God yeah and one of the
00:29:43 --> 00:29:44 thing the difference with the
00:29:44 --> 00:29:46 intercessors this is why yall probably
00:29:46 --> 00:29:47 why should I bring in prayer warriors
00:29:47 --> 00:29:51 because I know that it's just so it's
00:29:51 --> 00:29:54 almost as if we can't play with God no
00:29:55 --> 00:29:58 it's it's we get such a hunger for the
00:29:58 --> 00:30:00 presence of the
00:30:00 --> 00:30:03 Lord and as a prophet we know that we
00:30:03 --> 00:30:07 cannot enter in to the holies of holy
00:30:07 --> 00:30:08 without Clean Hands and a pure heart
00:30:08 --> 00:30:09 everybody should know that but we
00:30:09 --> 00:30:11 definitely just know we can't see we
00:30:11 --> 00:30:14 can't hear you know and and the
00:30:14 --> 00:30:16 conviction you feel when you know what
00:30:16 --> 00:30:19 it feels like to be in the presence of
00:30:19 --> 00:30:22 the Lord and I can't enter in yep you
00:30:22 --> 00:30:25 mean to tell me I can't get in something
00:30:25 --> 00:30:27 happens when we can't hear yeah it's
00:30:27 --> 00:30:30 like depression I haven't heard I've
00:30:30 --> 00:30:31 been in the presence I ain't feeling I
00:30:31 --> 00:30:34 ain't hearing we go into a depression
00:30:34 --> 00:30:36 like we have to like people say you
00:30:36 --> 00:30:38 don't fast oh we live a faster life
00:30:38 --> 00:30:40 because I need to be able to be in a
00:30:40 --> 00:30:42 place where I can
00:30:42 --> 00:30:44 surrender so I can hear what God has to
00:30:44 --> 00:30:47 say it just lifts us it's like the air
00:30:47 --> 00:30:49 we breathe it's it's it's we it's so we
00:30:49 --> 00:30:52 have to I I tell my husband you know
00:30:52 --> 00:30:53 came from different
00:30:53 --> 00:30:56 backgrounds and we first got married uh
00:30:56 --> 00:30:59 Pastor um uh Tiffany he says to me is
00:30:59 --> 00:31:01 have you do you know anyone else like
00:31:01 --> 00:31:02 you and I know what he was trying to say
00:31:03 --> 00:31:04 cuz I'm always praying he had never seen
00:31:04 --> 00:31:07 nobody he never he never you know seen a
00:31:07 --> 00:31:10 prayer Warrior and or intercessor or a
00:31:10 --> 00:31:12 prophet was quite sure what that meant
00:31:13 --> 00:31:15 or what it looked like he was like um I
00:31:15 --> 00:31:17 mean it's a little radical isn't it I
00:31:18 --> 00:31:22 was like a little bit a little bit why
00:31:22 --> 00:31:23 if I was Muslim I would play five times
00:31:23 --> 00:31:26 a day if I was Jewish I'll play three
00:31:26 --> 00:31:29 times a day said do you think that I
00:31:29 --> 00:31:31 serve the god of God I serve Elohim I'm
00:31:31 --> 00:31:33 not going to go into his
00:31:33 --> 00:31:36 presence you just ain't seen nobody who
00:31:36 --> 00:31:38 was for real who was serious about
00:31:38 --> 00:31:42 chasing after the Lord yeah so I'm
00:31:42 --> 00:31:44 excited okay I had to that because I
00:31:44 --> 00:31:47 want y'all to know we're not strange
00:31:47 --> 00:31:49 yeah no and that's I really love what
00:31:49 --> 00:31:52 you said just about like if we were of
00:31:52 --> 00:31:55 another religion nobody would bet an eye
00:31:55 --> 00:31:58 at it and the crazy thing that I always
00:31:58 --> 00:32:01 tell people is um our faith actually
00:32:01 --> 00:32:04 teaches us to pray without ceasing right
00:32:04 --> 00:32:06 without ceasing that we should be
00:32:06 --> 00:32:09 praying all the time but we there's such
00:32:09 --> 00:32:11 a I don't know if it's because of like a
00:32:11 --> 00:32:14 visibility thing or what it's seems like
00:32:14 --> 00:32:17 there's so much esteem placed on other
00:32:17 --> 00:32:20 religions that pray as much as they do
00:32:20 --> 00:32:22 as if the Bible don't tell us to pray
00:32:22 --> 00:32:25 just as much if not more right even with
00:32:25 --> 00:32:27 the fasting like oh Christians don't
00:32:27 --> 00:32:28 fast
00:32:28 --> 00:32:30 where what Christian because the Bible
00:32:30 --> 00:32:34 that I read it it's a whole chapter
00:32:34 --> 00:32:36 dedicated to True biblical fasting if
00:32:36 --> 00:32:38 you really want to read it right so I I
00:32:38 --> 00:32:40 think that that is you know just really
00:32:40 --> 00:32:43 really powerful um but yeah serving in
00:32:43 --> 00:32:45 Ministry that clean hands and clean

00:32:53 --> 00:32:55 was being trained in the background but
00:32:55 --> 00:32:58 eventually I was asked to start praying
00:32:58 --> 00:33:01 for people so we used to pray on
00:33:01 --> 00:33:04 Saturdays uh we prayed uh at the church
00:33:04 --> 00:33:07 and then when we moved locations we
00:33:07 --> 00:33:09 started praying at one of the church
00:33:09 --> 00:33:11 mother's houses oh girl yall got some
00:33:11 --> 00:33:15 good prayer in at one of
00:33:15 --> 00:33:18 the yep so that SM like prayer didn't it
00:33:18 --> 00:33:20 it did let me tell you something we
00:33:20 --> 00:33:23 would literally be uh we started off in
00:33:23 --> 00:33:25 her living room but we actually ended up
00:33:25 --> 00:33:27 outgrowing her living room in terms of
00:33:27 --> 00:33:30 the te so we had to move to the basement
00:33:30 --> 00:33:32 had to pray in the the the church
00:33:32 --> 00:33:36 mother's basement okay and um it was
00:33:36 --> 00:33:38 there so that was the training ground
00:33:38 --> 00:33:40 right we're being trained I'm listening
00:33:40 --> 00:33:42 I'm learning we're being taught we're
00:33:42 --> 00:33:44 being given assignments all of these
00:33:44 --> 00:33:47 things and then on you know Sundays
00:33:47 --> 00:33:50 you're being asked to like pray for the
00:33:50 --> 00:33:52 people you know publicly right what
00:33:52 --> 00:33:53 you've been doing privately you're going
00:33:53 --> 00:33:56 to do publicly and it was at that point
00:33:56 --> 00:33:58 I was like I don't want to bleed on
00:33:58 --> 00:34:00 God's people I don't want no transfering
00:34:01 --> 00:34:03 of spirits I don't want to bleed on his
00:34:03 --> 00:34:05 people I don't want to touch his people
00:34:05 --> 00:34:08 with dirty hands like not literally but
00:34:08 --> 00:34:10 spiritually and like you said that clean
00:34:10 --> 00:34:13 hand and clean clean hands and a clean
00:34:13 --> 00:34:16 heart um and again it was just even more
00:34:16 --> 00:34:19 of a a catalyst to just change and do
00:34:19 --> 00:34:21 better and I'll never forget one of the
00:34:21 --> 00:34:23 days we was leaving uh mother Twan was
00:34:23 --> 00:34:25 her name she's uh passed away since but
00:34:25 --> 00:34:28 mother Twan I remember one of the days
00:34:28 --> 00:34:31 uh we were leaving and the leader of our
00:34:31 --> 00:34:33 intercessory prayer Ministry me and my
00:34:33 --> 00:34:35 best friend we waled out right if we had
00:34:35 --> 00:34:37 been out the night before so we walking
00:34:37 --> 00:34:41 out and she stops us and she said uh the
00:34:41 --> 00:34:44 Lord sees what you're doing my God I
00:34:44 --> 00:34:46 literally like push I said go go go go
00:34:46 --> 00:34:48 go go go go go go go get up out of here
00:34:48 --> 00:34:52 CA she sees us she figured us out like
00:34:52 --> 00:34:54 and again that was another Catalyst
00:34:54 --> 00:34:56 where I was like I don't want that I
00:34:56 --> 00:34:57 don't want to I don't want to be worried
00:34:57 --> 00:34:59 about if alcohol is seeping out of my
00:34:59 --> 00:35:02 pores while I'm praying for people and
00:35:02 --> 00:35:04 just all of the things like these these
00:35:04 --> 00:35:07 little nuances that are actually very
00:35:07 --> 00:35:10 big things and very important things um
00:35:10 --> 00:35:13 they just began to change and all of
00:35:13 --> 00:35:15 that happen in that birthing room right
00:35:15 --> 00:35:17 like that's what we're talking about was
00:35:17 --> 00:35:20 literally a birthing room uh called
00:35:20 --> 00:35:22 mother twine's basement where we were
00:35:22 --> 00:35:25 being cultivated and nurtured and
00:35:25 --> 00:35:28 convicted and corrected and
00:35:28 --> 00:35:31 and of our flesh and you know just all
00:35:31 --> 00:35:34 of those things yeah but that's that's
00:35:34 --> 00:35:37 what was happening there so um that
00:35:37 --> 00:35:39 introduced me to intercession I I fell
00:35:39 --> 00:35:42 in love with it I love seeing people
00:35:42 --> 00:35:46 healed delivered and set free I love uh
00:35:46 --> 00:35:48 being a vessel for God to give answers
00:35:48 --> 00:35:51 to prayers to speak prophetically like I
00:35:51 --> 00:35:54 love those things and I just have such a
00:35:54 --> 00:35:56 high esteem and a high honor for it um
00:35:56 --> 00:35:59 and and respect respect you know that
00:35:59 --> 00:36:03 responsibility so yeah that was um that
00:36:03 --> 00:36:06 was the introduction to to Ministry and
00:36:06 --> 00:36:09 and really serving and as I continued to
00:36:09 --> 00:36:12 serve more was developed and I'm G tell
00:36:12 --> 00:36:13 you we gonna be the mothers we gonna
00:36:13 --> 00:36:14 bring the mothers back I mean we're
00:36:14 --> 00:36:16 young now yes probably about 10 years
00:36:17 --> 00:36:18 older than you but I'm gonna be that
00:36:18 --> 00:36:21 mother in church that when the kids walk
00:36:21 --> 00:36:22 in I'm like I see
00:36:22 --> 00:36:25 you mama always could see couldn't the
00:36:25 --> 00:36:27 mothers always see they always could can
00:36:27 --> 00:36:28 tell you when you was pregnant you
00:36:28 --> 00:36:31 pregnant I know you pregnant a nobody I
00:36:31 --> 00:36:33 don't even know yet what
00:36:33 --> 00:36:36 you I don't even know how you know the
00:36:36 --> 00:36:38 mothers could see they have any problem
00:36:38 --> 00:36:41 letting you know I know you're dirty get
00:36:42 --> 00:36:44 to the altar get to the alar you know
00:36:44 --> 00:36:46 and no problem come pull your coil we
00:36:46 --> 00:36:48 don't have it anymore you know we don't
00:36:48 --> 00:36:49 have that
00:36:49 --> 00:36:52 authentic just uh H uh reverence for the
00:36:52 --> 00:36:54 Lord not saying we I'm not saying we
00:36:54 --> 00:36:56 because I think I think there are some
00:36:56 --> 00:36:59 people every body has not bowed to bail
00:36:59 --> 00:37:00 I know y'all all ain't bowed down
00:37:00 --> 00:37:03 somebody is serious about God but I'm
00:37:03 --> 00:37:05 saying the body needs to get back in
00:37:05 --> 00:37:08 please yeah yeah yeah definitely for
00:37:08 --> 00:37:10 sure for sure so yeah it's been it's
00:37:10 --> 00:37:14 been a beautiful Journey um in the midst
00:37:14 --> 00:37:16 of all of that is when mornings with God
00:37:16 --> 00:37:19 was started um like I said I would go on
00:37:19 --> 00:37:22 to just experience so many other things
00:37:22 --> 00:37:26 um in my journey and when I see like
00:37:26 --> 00:37:29 particularly for the like the Waring for
00:37:29 --> 00:37:31 the womb event and then events like the
00:37:31 --> 00:37:34 prayer th when I see what those have
00:37:34 --> 00:37:39 become I'm like it was worth it it was
00:37:39 --> 00:37:43 worth it to be Cru to Crucify My Flesh
00:37:43 --> 00:37:46 yes worth it to be convicted and
00:37:47 --> 00:37:49 corrected it was worth it to Lose
00:37:49 --> 00:37:53 Friends it was worth it to you know uh
00:37:53 --> 00:37:55 just just everything that comes with the
00:37:55 --> 00:37:59 journey the that the cost it cost a lot
00:37:59 --> 00:38:02 yes cost too much it cost a lot but it
00:38:02 --> 00:38:05 did not cost too much in every single
00:38:05 --> 00:38:09 cost it was definitely um worth it it it
00:38:09 --> 00:38:10 was definitely worth it so yeah this is
00:38:11 --> 00:38:13 where mornings with God is now and you
00:38:13 --> 00:38:16 know we're we're moving forward
00:38:16 --> 00:38:19 and the Lord is telling us to do and all
00:38:19 --> 00:38:22 of those things amen and I just want to
00:38:22 --> 00:38:23 go ahead because you know if you ever
00:38:23 --> 00:38:25 watch my podcast I always do little

00:39:36 --> 00:39:39 like you know you say something you just
00:39:39 --> 00:39:41 do it and I said because whatever you
00:39:41 --> 00:39:44 birth in prayer yeah it's going to stand
00:39:44 --> 00:39:47 it's going to last the test of time it's
00:39:47 --> 00:39:49 GNA last the storms it was good that we
00:39:49 --> 00:39:51 were Afflicted yeah because can't
00:39:52 --> 00:39:54 nothing stop me because once God said it
00:39:54 --> 00:39:55 I don't need no validation no
00:39:55 --> 00:39:58 confirmation once Lord says that I'm
00:39:58 --> 00:40:00 going forth because he goes before me
00:40:00 --> 00:40:03 and whatever you want to do or God has
00:40:03 --> 00:40:06 called you to do you have to birth it in
00:40:06 --> 00:40:08 prayer if you want it to last yeah yeah
00:40:08 --> 00:40:11 for sure and that stamina that's built
00:40:11 --> 00:40:14 up in prayer um it it comes through
00:40:14 --> 00:40:17 practice though right uh and uh my
00:40:17 --> 00:40:19 current Pastor one of my current pastors
00:40:19 --> 00:40:23 um Dr Faith wakoma she always says like
00:40:23 --> 00:40:24 you've got to build it up like you've
00:40:24 --> 00:40:27 got to build up your stamina um in
00:40:28 --> 00:40:29 prayer you've got to build up your
00:40:29 --> 00:40:31 stamina and speaking in tongues and the
00:40:31 --> 00:40:34 way that you do it is literally by
00:40:34 --> 00:40:37 practice right like so in your personal
00:40:37 --> 00:40:40 prayer time you practice praying not
00:40:40 --> 00:40:43 praying to be seen you're praying and
00:40:43 --> 00:40:46 you're doing this for an audience of one
00:40:46 --> 00:40:48 uh but you practice praying speak in
00:40:48 --> 00:40:51 tongues push yourself to do it longer
00:40:51 --> 00:40:53 push yourself to really tap in push
00:40:54 --> 00:40:56 yourself to really surrender and to let
00:40:56 --> 00:40:59 go of the thinking connected to it and
00:40:59 --> 00:41:01 if you really allow the spirit to take
00:41:01 --> 00:41:04 over those tongues will begin to roll
00:41:04 --> 00:41:06 out like it just it just rolls off of
00:41:07 --> 00:41:10 you right you you you find yourself
00:41:10 --> 00:41:12 being able to pray in tongues for an
00:41:12 --> 00:41:14 extended period of time and the other
00:41:14 --> 00:41:16 thing that I always tell people will
00:41:16 --> 00:41:18 help them to build up that stamina and
00:41:18 --> 00:41:21 help them to have language in prayer is
00:41:22 --> 00:41:25 studying your Bible like you've got to
00:41:25 --> 00:41:27 read the word of the Lord the reason why
00:41:27 --> 00:41:28 you ain't got nothing to say is because
00:41:28 --> 00:41:31 you're not reading word you don't have
00:41:31 --> 00:41:34 the word and that if that's what we are
00:41:34 --> 00:41:36 to be praying back to the Lord how do
00:41:36 --> 00:41:39 you expect to pray God's very word back
00:41:39 --> 00:41:42 to him if you're not studying it so
00:41:42 --> 00:41:44 again when we talk about like birthing
00:41:44 --> 00:41:47 things and being in the birthing room in
00:41:47 --> 00:41:49 the birthing room you also got to study
00:41:49 --> 00:41:51 in the birthing room my God you've got
00:41:51 --> 00:41:54 to sit at the feet of your father you
00:41:54 --> 00:41:56 got to come like a student with your
00:41:56 --> 00:41:59 notebook and with your yes your Bible
00:41:59 --> 00:42:01 open and you're ready to take note of
00:42:01 --> 00:42:03 what the Lord is speaking to you and
00:42:03 --> 00:42:05 you're going to where he guide you in
00:42:06 --> 00:42:08 his word even with us doing uh we're
00:42:08 --> 00:42:10 doing a year-long prayer movement it
00:42:10 --> 00:42:12 ends on January 31st but we've been
00:42:12 --> 00:42:15 doing this year-long um prayer movement
00:42:15 --> 00:42:17 and literally the very first thing that
00:42:17 --> 00:42:20 I asked the Lord I said Lord what am I
00:42:20 --> 00:42:23 gonna pray about every day for 365 days
00:42:23 --> 00:42:25 God said read your word when I tell you
00:42:25 --> 00:42:29 I we got more topics more topics than we
00:42:29 --> 00:42:32 have time to pray for I mean l we got
00:42:32 --> 00:42:34 prayer requests upon prayer requests
00:42:34 --> 00:42:35 I've been asking the Lord because we
00:42:35 --> 00:42:38 finish up in like two weeks so I've been
00:42:38 --> 00:42:40 asking the Lord I'm like we need to make
00:42:40 --> 00:42:42 sure we touch all these topics in the
00:42:42 --> 00:42:43 next two weeks because like there's
00:42:44 --> 00:42:46 still so much that we still have to
00:42:46 --> 00:42:49 cover but you can do things like that to
00:42:49 --> 00:42:50 the point about like what your sister
00:42:50 --> 00:42:53 was saying like well how do you just do
00:42:53 --> 00:42:55 it and how do you sustain it and how do
00:42:55 --> 00:42:57 you have the stamina for it you keep
00:42:57 --> 00:43:01 reading this word never run out of
00:43:01 --> 00:43:03 things to pray about or talk to the Lord
00:43:03 --> 00:43:06 about never ever never ever and that's
00:43:06 --> 00:43:08 so good I don't even gonna stop you go
00:43:08 --> 00:43:11 ahead I yeah yeah no I just wanted to
00:43:11 --> 00:43:13 share um that piece and another thing
00:43:13 --> 00:43:15 that I thought about that was very
00:43:15 --> 00:43:17 interesting that you said a few minutes
00:43:17 --> 00:43:21 ago was about the depression piece right
00:43:21 --> 00:43:24 yeah can't hear the word of the Lord
00:43:24 --> 00:43:27 that does something that that does
00:43:28 --> 00:43:31 something that it really becomes a very
00:43:31 --> 00:43:35 deep struggle I remember in 2023 into
00:43:35 --> 00:43:39 2024 but like primarily the end of
00:43:39 --> 00:43:43 2023 uh that things in my life were
00:43:43 --> 00:43:46 beginning to unravel for them for God to
00:43:46 --> 00:43:49 weave a new tapestry right um but in the
00:43:49 --> 00:43:51 moment it felt like I was losing
00:43:51 --> 00:43:55 everything um I was in the process of uh
00:43:55 --> 00:43:58 relocating from North Carolina to
00:43:58 --> 00:44:01 Maryland so that I could ultimately move
00:44:01 --> 00:44:06 to Ghana in West Africa uh yeah yeah
00:44:06 --> 00:44:08 that's where I live that's really where
00:44:08 --> 00:44:11 I live I'm just in the state I you know
00:44:11 --> 00:44:14 I stalked your page yes oh you I didn't
00:44:14 --> 00:44:16 we gonna be fighted I didn't know you
00:44:16 --> 00:44:20 that labor amongst you
00:44:20 --> 00:44:23 yes so literally um I was in that
00:44:23 --> 00:44:25 process but God had expedited it now
00:44:25 --> 00:44:27 again I'm a business owner I'm a
00:44:27 --> 00:44:29 strategies right so I had a plan I had a
00:44:29 --> 00:44:31 timeline I was like we going to do this
00:44:31 --> 00:44:32 at this time we going to do that we
00:44:32 --> 00:44:33 going to do this and this is how it's
00:44:33 --> 00:44:35 all going to flow it's going to be easy
00:44:35 --> 00:44:38 breezy God said nope I'm Expediting this
00:44:38 --> 00:44:40 we just gonna go ahead and cut that out
00:44:40 --> 00:44:42 this is being moved up about six seven
00:44:42 --> 00:44:45 months um and it was a really really
00:44:45 --> 00:44:49 rough time for me spiritually because I
00:44:49 --> 00:44:53 felt like I I was grasping at straws
00:44:53 --> 00:44:55 like grasping to just hold on to
00:44:55 --> 00:44:59 anything and also Al I couldn't see like
00:44:59 --> 00:45:01 what the Lord was doing and what I mean
00:45:01 --> 00:45:05 by that is typically for for the most
00:45:05 --> 00:45:10 part when God is moving in my life I can
00:45:10 --> 00:45:13 see that like it will eventually lead to
00:45:13 --> 00:45:15 something else right I may not see what
00:45:15 --> 00:45:17 that what is but I'm like okay if I take
00:45:17 --> 00:45:19 this step it can lead to like that that
00:45:19 --> 00:45:21 that or that right like I can identify
00:45:21 --> 00:45:23 that it can go one of a few ways but in
00:45:23 --> 00:45:25 this whole situation I was like God I
00:45:25 --> 00:45:27 don't even see you in this I like I
00:45:27 --> 00:45:29 don't even know where you are I feel
00:45:29 --> 00:45:31 like I am under attack I feel like I am
00:45:31 --> 00:45:33 being punished and literally I was going
00:45:33 --> 00:45:35 back I had to dissect this like in
00:45:35 --> 00:45:37 therapy and like with my spiritual
00:45:37 --> 00:45:38 Direction counselor because this was a
00:45:39 --> 00:45:40 very very deep thing oh I like that
00:45:40 --> 00:45:42 spiritual Direction counselor yeah yeah
00:45:42 --> 00:45:45 we get one as a a part of Seminary our
00:45:45 --> 00:45:48 Seminary uh provides us with one with
00:45:48 --> 00:45:50 regularly um so yes so I'm you know
00:45:50 --> 00:45:52 meeting with her and I'm like talking to
00:45:52 --> 00:45:55 my wise counsel and all of those things
00:45:55 --> 00:45:58 and I was literally going back like six
00:45:58 --> 00:46:01 months n months 12 months like did I do
00:46:01 --> 00:46:04 something wrong did I sin and like like
00:46:04 --> 00:46:06 a big sin I'm not talking about like a
00:46:06 --> 00:46:09 little you know something but like a big
00:46:09 --> 00:46:11 am I and that's what we think what am I
00:46:11 --> 00:46:15 reaping yep yes I said I got to be
00:46:15 --> 00:46:17 reaping something I got to have done
00:46:17 --> 00:46:19 something wrong to deserve this because
00:46:19 --> 00:46:22 it almost felt like it came out of
00:46:22 --> 00:46:25 nowhere but the hardest part the the two
00:46:25 --> 00:46:27 hardest things of that season
00:46:27 --> 00:46:30 um and I'm not saying this to sound
00:46:30 --> 00:46:33 churchy I mean it because I really
00:46:33 --> 00:46:36 experienced it and it also helped me to
00:46:36 --> 00:46:39 check every time that I thought that I
00:46:39 --> 00:46:42 was in a Wilderness season no no no I
00:46:42 --> 00:46:44 wasn't I I don't know what those seasons
00:46:44 --> 00:46:46 were before this thing that me and my
00:46:46 --> 00:46:50 husband just came out of oh oh I said oh
00:46:51 --> 00:46:54 this this is Wilderness a Mana season I
00:46:54 --> 00:46:56 had never experienced a Mana season
00:46:56 --> 00:46:58 before for ever in my life like
00:46:58 --> 00:47:02 literally only enough for the day only
00:47:02 --> 00:47:05 enough for the like Lord you you can't
00:47:05 --> 00:47:08 be serious you cannot be serious that I
00:47:08 --> 00:47:11 go from being a business owner a multi6
00:47:11 --> 00:47:15 fig business to like no income no like
00:47:15 --> 00:47:20 Zip zero zil and G did I do did I must
00:47:20 --> 00:47:22 have did something wrong did I mess up
00:47:23 --> 00:47:24 but was I don't think that I was putting
00:47:24 --> 00:47:27 anything before you like like what was
00:47:27 --> 00:47:29 going on what what was I doing wrong and
00:47:29 --> 00:47:31 it literally felt like a punishment but
00:47:31 --> 00:47:33 the two hardest things and me and my
00:47:33 --> 00:47:35 husband we have been standing on this
00:47:35 --> 00:47:37 the two hardest things of that Mana
00:47:37 --> 00:47:40 season and Wilderness season was one not
00:47:41 --> 00:47:43 being able to hear the voice of the Lord
00:47:43 --> 00:47:46 that that was a really really that was
00:47:46 --> 00:47:49 very very hard for me um it left me
00:47:49 --> 00:47:52 feeling forsaken I said to God and I I
00:47:52 --> 00:47:54 want to be very clear this was only a
00:47:54 --> 00:47:57 year and a half ago in Ministry I was I
00:47:57 --> 00:48:00 I was well into the ministry Journey
00:48:00 --> 00:48:04 right I I remember I I told the Lord
00:48:04 --> 00:48:07 more than once I feel like you're not
00:48:07 --> 00:48:10 listening I feel like you are letting
00:48:10 --> 00:48:13 things happen to us I feel like you are
00:48:13 --> 00:48:16 allowing people to do us dirty and to
00:48:16 --> 00:48:18 get away with it I said those three
00:48:18 --> 00:48:22 things to God so many times from middle
00:48:22 --> 00:48:27 of 2023 to the middle of 2024 so so many
00:48:27 --> 00:48:30 times I said this to the Lord where are
00:48:30 --> 00:48:32 you what are you doing I was literally
00:48:32 --> 00:48:34 having to call my wise counsel and be
00:48:34 --> 00:48:36 like I I I remember I would call them
00:48:36 --> 00:48:40 and say I can't think I'm not asking you
00:48:40 --> 00:48:42 to help I'm not asking you to send no
00:48:42 --> 00:48:45 resch I I need you to help me think I
00:48:45 --> 00:48:48 need you to pray like I can't I I feel
00:48:48 --> 00:48:51 like I'm I'm DEA to the voice of God
00:48:51 --> 00:48:54 like that was yes yes that was such a
00:48:54 --> 00:48:57 horrible place to be in that was so
00:48:57 --> 00:48:59 horrible um so I wanted to share that
00:48:59 --> 00:49:00 story because when you said that piece
00:49:00 --> 00:49:03 about being depressed when I um one of
00:49:03 --> 00:49:05 the sessions that I had with my
00:49:05 --> 00:49:07 spiritual Direction counselor in uh
00:49:07 --> 00:49:10 early 2024 I was like catching her up on
00:49:10 --> 00:49:11 things that had happened over like the

00:49:27 --> 00:49:29 and I'm listing the things that were
00:49:29 --> 00:49:31 happening and the symptoms that are
00:49:31 --> 00:49:33 happening you know in my body and in my
00:49:33 --> 00:49:36 life and I'm like that sound like you
00:49:36 --> 00:49:39 was depressed yeah for sure for sure I
00:49:39 --> 00:49:43 could of God a prophet can't hears when
00:49:43 --> 00:49:46 a prophet can't hears we get depressed
00:49:47 --> 00:49:49 yeah yeah we when we when we feel when
00:49:49 --> 00:49:52 we feel uh uh uh rejected yeah or we
00:49:52 --> 00:49:56 feel deaf yeah we get depressed yeah
00:49:56 --> 00:49:57 Jesus Took elah up to the mountain he
00:49:57 --> 00:50:00 said do you hear yeah you listening for
00:50:00 --> 00:50:02 the wrong thing listen to my small still
00:50:02 --> 00:50:04 that's what you got to hold on to and

00:51:07 --> 00:51:09 wait and we can wait on the Lord to hear

00:51:14 --> 00:51:15 you was going through that you was like
00:51:15 --> 00:51:16 wait a minute Lord you this is happening
00:51:16 --> 00:51:19 so and so why I a see that why I not see
00:51:19 --> 00:51:22 that and we get like I'm almost insulted
00:51:22 --> 00:51:25 like how I miss it how did I see you
00:51:25 --> 00:51:28 didn't tell me should you not no heads

00:51:41 --> 00:51:44 Zambia um you know have an International
00:51:44 --> 00:51:47 Ministry so um I got uh United Kingdoms
00:51:47 --> 00:51:49 I I need to take a world tour just to go
00:51:49 --> 00:51:51 see all these places but so you have so
00:51:51 --> 00:51:54 you have a house in Ghana yes yes we
00:51:54 --> 00:51:57 have a home there
00:51:57 --> 00:51:59 yes go ahead and pack your bag and come
00:51:59 --> 00:52:01 and visit us because we love hosting uh
00:52:01 --> 00:52:03 literally we're actually even though I'm
00:52:03 --> 00:52:06 here we're hosting uh people now at our
00:52:06 --> 00:52:09 home um but yeah we we love hosting and
00:52:09 --> 00:52:11 you know just the spirit of hospitality
00:52:11 --> 00:52:13 that's really what it is it's a so is
00:52:13 --> 00:52:15 your husband from Ghana he is he is he's
00:52:16 --> 00:52:19 full G yes he is girl how you meet him
00:52:19 --> 00:52:22 we met so we
00:52:22 --> 00:52:26 met I had gone on uh a Eat Pray Love
00:52:26 --> 00:52:30 trip right I had gone I did I did just
00:52:30 --> 00:52:31 started off with this love language go
00:52:31 --> 00:52:37 ahead all about so I um had gone uh had
00:52:37 --> 00:52:40 ended rather had just had a like really
00:52:40 --> 00:52:43 traumatic end to an engagement um and
00:52:43 --> 00:52:44 one of my girlfriends I was sitting down
00:52:44 --> 00:52:46 like with dinner like catching up on
00:52:46 --> 00:52:48 everything that had happened and I'm
00:52:48 --> 00:52:50 like yeah girl like you know it's it's
00:52:50 --> 00:52:53 over very traumatic I need to heal like
00:52:53 --> 00:52:55 you know that's all I'm focused on is
00:52:55 --> 00:53:00 like getting better and um she uh tells
00:53:00 --> 00:53:01 me she's like so after I was done
00:53:01 --> 00:53:03 everything she's like you're done are
00:53:03 --> 00:53:04 you sure you got everything out I was
00:53:04 --> 00:53:06 like yep I'm good girl tell me what's
00:53:06 --> 00:53:08 going on with you she's like yeah so
00:53:08 --> 00:53:09 we're going to Ghana for my birthday in
00:53:10 --> 00:53:12 two months and I was like two months
00:53:12 --> 00:53:16 like what now granted they uh her and
00:53:16 --> 00:53:19 one of our mutual girlfriends they go
00:53:19 --> 00:53:21 regularly right our mutual girlfriend
00:53:21 --> 00:53:24 she's half G Yen so she has a you know
00:53:24 --> 00:53:25 family there they have houses there all
00:53:25 --> 00:53:27 of those sort of things so it's a second
00:53:27 --> 00:53:29 home for her so for the two of them to
00:53:29 --> 00:53:31 be going it wasn't completely out of the
00:53:31 --> 00:53:33 norm but when she told me for her
00:53:33 --> 00:53:34 birthday I started doing a me I said
00:53:34 --> 00:53:36 girl that's in two months like what do
00:53:36 --> 00:53:38 we got to do we got to get ready right
00:53:38 --> 00:53:41 so she asked me if I wanted to go and I
00:53:41 --> 00:53:44 had no reason why I couldn't go um every
00:53:44 --> 00:53:47 like everything was available um in
00:53:47 --> 00:53:51 terms of resources time just all of the
00:53:51 --> 00:53:52 things I had someone that I was
00:53:52 --> 00:53:54 traveling with so that helped me to feel
00:53:54 --> 00:53:58 a little more comfortable and um yeah so
00:53:58 --> 00:54:00 we we over the next two months we got
00:54:00 --> 00:54:02 everything together very quickly and um
00:54:03 --> 00:54:04 you know booked our flights and did all
00:54:04 --> 00:54:06 of those things booked our airbn we
00:54:06 --> 00:54:08 actually didn't book our Airbnb until
00:54:08 --> 00:54:09 like the day before we left that's a
00:54:09 --> 00:54:11 whole another story don't recommend that
00:54:11 --> 00:54:13 but we ended up in a really good place
00:54:13 --> 00:54:16 um and yeah we went to Ghana and I was
00:54:16 --> 00:54:19 just going I wanted to experience the
00:54:19 --> 00:54:21 motherland I um had never been to an
00:54:21 --> 00:54:24 African country and it felt like going
00:54:24 --> 00:54:27 home to me um yes that I stepped out of
00:54:27 --> 00:54:30 that airport I was just like I cannot
00:54:30 --> 00:54:34 believe like I'm home like this loud yes
00:54:34 --> 00:54:37 um I cannot
00:54:37 --> 00:54:40 wait have to come visit so we um so
00:54:40 --> 00:54:42 we're we're there you know for a couple
00:54:42 --> 00:54:43 days were're there to obviously
00:54:43 --> 00:54:46 celebrate her birthday and um one of the
00:54:46 --> 00:54:49 things about Ghana everything stays open
00:54:49 --> 00:54:53 late during like their High seasons and
00:54:53 --> 00:54:54 like what I mean High seasons is like
00:54:54 --> 00:54:57 during tourism seasons um and like a
00:54:57 --> 00:54:59 couple of other times of the year so we
00:54:59 --> 00:55:03 went in the summer um uh of
00:55:03 --> 00:55:08 2022 2022 um so yeah so pic I was during
00:55:08 --> 00:55:12 Co too um it was on the tail end I think
00:55:12 --> 00:55:14 I feel like we traveled with mask we
00:55:14 --> 00:55:15 were still wearing masks like on the
00:55:15 --> 00:55:16 plan oh no no I mean I don't care what
00:55:16 --> 00:55:18 the mask I would just saying go go get
00:55:18 --> 00:55:22 the timelines I go for the
00:55:22 --> 00:55:26 story yes so this was in 2022 um and
00:55:26 --> 00:55:29 yeah so again we you know get get over
00:55:29 --> 00:55:31 there a couple days we're running around
00:55:31 --> 00:55:32 like trying to get everything together
00:55:32 --> 00:55:34 for like her birthday dinner and I was
00:55:34 --> 00:55:36 saying that like everything stays open
00:55:36 --> 00:55:39 like super late during that time of year
00:55:39 --> 00:55:41 so we end up going we didn't even leave
00:55:41 --> 00:55:42 for dinner until like 10 o'clock at
00:55:42 --> 00:55:45 night like that's like completely normal
00:55:45 --> 00:55:48 um so we end up going out we go out to
00:55:48 --> 00:55:50 this really really beautiful dinner um
00:55:50 --> 00:55:53 you know they want to go dancing so we
00:55:53 --> 00:55:56 end up going to we ended up at a couple
00:55:56 --> 00:55:58 like different places or whatever like a
00:55:58 --> 00:56:00 outdoor lounge sort of place and all of
00:56:00 --> 00:56:02 these different things um and at one of
00:56:02 --> 00:56:05 the places they kept telling me about
00:56:05 --> 00:56:07 this guy right um and I'm not gonna say
00:56:07 --> 00:56:09 his name but about this guy that was you
00:56:09 --> 00:56:12 know a mutual friend or whatever and
00:56:12 --> 00:56:14 they're like yeah you know like he's
00:56:14 --> 00:56:15 gonna be hanging out with us and I'm
00:56:15 --> 00:56:17 like cool and we were on a co-ed trip so
00:56:17 --> 00:56:20 it was me and two of my girlfriends uh
00:56:20 --> 00:56:23 the birthday girl's boyfriend at the
00:56:23 --> 00:56:24 time they weren't even engaged yet
00:56:24 --> 00:56:27 they're married now um but yeah so
00:56:27 --> 00:56:29 boyfriend at the time um and then
00:56:29 --> 00:56:31 another Mutual guy friend so we were
00:56:31 --> 00:56:34 already on a co-ed trip um we meet up
00:56:34 --> 00:56:37 with this other guy and he has a friend
00:56:37 --> 00:56:40 with him that friend is now my husband
00:56:40 --> 00:56:42 oh and y'all probably wondering why I
00:56:42 --> 00:56:45 asked these questions and I'm not being
00:56:45 --> 00:56:47 nosy but it was definitely a great love
00:56:47 --> 00:56:49 story but I want you to know how
00:56:49 --> 00:56:51 faithful God is oh yes that she was
00:56:51 --> 00:56:54 already going through a broken place and
00:56:54 --> 00:56:55 here she is saying listen I'm going to
00:56:55 --> 00:56:57 go over here on his eat love pray
00:56:57 --> 00:57:00 Retreat yes and God said listen that
00:57:01 --> 00:57:03 that was not a mistake cuz your blessing
00:57:03 --> 00:57:08 was here yes yes I encourage
00:57:08 --> 00:57:10 all I'm sorry go ahead was it Love at
00:57:10 --> 00:57:13 First Sight uh for him it was for me it
00:57:13 --> 00:57:15 was not not because of like attraction
00:57:15 --> 00:57:17 or anything you going through something
00:57:17 --> 00:57:18 I was going through something yes I was
00:57:18 --> 00:57:20 very actively healing and I was very
00:57:20 --> 00:57:22 transparent with him about that um
00:57:22 --> 00:57:24 because we were able to spend we met
00:57:24 --> 00:57:26 pretty early in our trip like just
00:57:26 --> 00:57:28 couple days into the trip and I ended up
00:57:28 --> 00:57:31 extending my trip by a couple days as
00:57:31 --> 00:57:33 well um so we were together literally
00:57:33 --> 00:57:37 from the day that we met we have either
00:57:37 --> 00:57:39 been together in person or talked every
00:57:39 --> 00:57:42 single day like not a day has been this
00:57:42 --> 00:57:45 beautiful yeah so I told him I was like
00:57:45 --> 00:57:49 you know I'm not looking like I'm I was
00:57:49 --> 00:57:51 ready to have my best Holy Girl Summer
00:57:51 --> 00:57:53 like this was at the beginning like baby
00:57:53 --> 00:57:55 your girl is free like I'm trying to be
00:57:55 --> 00:57:56 outside
00:57:56 --> 00:57:59 okay like all of the brunches and
00:57:59 --> 00:58:01 lunches I want to be traveling I want to
00:58:01 --> 00:58:05 be doing all of the things I was single
00:58:05 --> 00:58:08 I had just moved to North Carolina um
00:58:08 --> 00:58:11 maybe like a year before that had my
00:58:11 --> 00:58:14 dream car my little luxury apartment
00:58:14 --> 00:58:18 like Florida okay her best single wife
00:58:18 --> 00:58:21 all right so I was like I'm just focused
00:58:21 --> 00:58:25 on my healing and he was very clear like
00:58:25 --> 00:58:27 before I got on on that plane he told me
00:58:27 --> 00:58:30 like I am committed to you and I was
00:58:30 --> 00:58:32 like what does that even mean and he was
00:58:32 --> 00:58:34 like in every way I am committed to you
00:58:34 --> 00:58:37 I just need you to clear about that and
00:58:37 --> 00:58:39 I'm like okay but I'm still single and
00:58:39 --> 00:58:43 ready to mingle okay um so yeah so I
00:58:43 --> 00:58:45 came back to the States and like I said
00:58:45 --> 00:58:48 we literally talked every single day um
00:58:48 --> 00:58:50 I think I was like dating somebody else
00:58:50 --> 00:58:53 at the time too like in the beginning
00:58:53 --> 00:58:54 that didn't last or not dating I was
00:58:54 --> 00:58:56 talking to somebody else at the like in
00:58:56 --> 00:58:59 the beginning uh that didn't last too
00:58:59 --> 00:59:03 long at all um and then yeah we from
00:59:03 --> 00:59:05 there we entered into premarital
00:59:05 --> 00:59:08 counseling um we eventually got engaged
00:59:08 --> 00:59:10 we got married and then we just
00:59:10 --> 00:59:13 continued building our lives together
00:59:13 --> 00:59:16 did was he a pastor already no no so
00:59:16 --> 00:59:19 he's not a pastor now okay okay okay
00:59:19 --> 00:59:22 okay so does serve in Ministry though um
00:59:22 --> 00:59:24 and definitely a man of God like strong
00:59:25 --> 00:59:27 strong faith a true man of faith and he
00:59:27 --> 00:59:30 comes from you know the same sort of
00:59:30 --> 00:59:32 background uh pastors and all of that in
00:59:32 --> 00:59:35 his family um there's actually a church
00:59:35 --> 00:59:38 on his family's compound there um that
00:59:38 --> 00:59:40 they rent out you know to another
00:59:40 --> 00:59:43 Ministry um but yeah they have uh and
00:59:43 --> 00:59:45 the whole family serves in Ministry like
00:59:45 --> 00:59:47 everybody got a role um at the local
00:59:47 --> 00:59:51 church um and yeah we you know we we had
00:59:51 --> 00:59:54 and all of those things but yep see I
00:59:54 --> 00:59:57 even love knowing that because my
00:59:57 --> 00:59:59 husband's truly a man of God a man of
00:59:59 --> 01:00:02 prayer yeah a man of God but he's not a
01:00:02 --> 01:00:04 pastor or you know like a leader you
01:00:04 --> 01:00:08 know in church or anything like that um
01:00:08 --> 01:00:11 and so okay so now I got more questions
01:00:11 --> 01:00:14 now right um not questions but I think
01:00:14 --> 01:00:16 it's important in this birthing season
01:00:16 --> 01:00:18 because now you birth into a new season
01:00:18 --> 01:00:20 and for y'all who don't know chap seats
01:00:20 --> 01:00:23 in the back y know how I do this this
01:00:23 --> 01:00:25 was a promotion because marriage is
01:00:25 --> 01:00:26 always a promotion
01:00:26 --> 01:00:29 right here you are promoted to marriage
01:00:29 --> 01:00:31 and now the Lord promoted you also in
01:00:31 --> 01:00:33 Ministry now you prepar for pastoring
01:00:33 --> 01:00:35 because that you have your covering and
01:00:35 --> 01:00:36 you're ready to go forth you serve your
01:00:36 --> 01:00:38 time you do what you're supposed to do
01:00:38 --> 01:00:41 and here you go how does your hand
01:00:41 --> 01:00:44 husband handle you as Pastor
01:00:44 --> 01:00:47 Tiffany yeah yeah I love what you just
01:00:47 --> 01:00:51 said about even the timing of that it
01:00:51 --> 01:00:54 was after I got married that God
01:00:54 --> 01:00:56 revealed like or not I got married but
01:00:56 --> 01:00:59 after I met him that God began to really
01:00:59 --> 01:01:01 speak to me concerning the mornings with
01:01:01 --> 01:01:04 God Ministry and my husband was the one
01:01:04 --> 01:01:06 who came and started declaring even
01:01:07 --> 01:01:08 before he was my husband he declared
01:01:08 --> 01:01:11 over my life that this would be a global
01:01:11 --> 01:01:13 Ministry and that has happened just in a
01:01:13 --> 01:01:16 few short years like not just saying it
01:01:16 --> 01:01:19 but we actually meet and have in-person
01:01:19 --> 01:01:22 Bible studies with a community in Ghana
01:01:22 --> 01:01:24 in addition to the things that we do
01:01:24 --> 01:01:26 here and I'm always really clear about
01:01:26 --> 01:01:28 that because most Ministries can have
01:01:28 --> 01:01:31 like an international component just
01:01:31 --> 01:01:32 because of like the accessibility of
01:01:32 --> 01:01:35 Technology but like no where are your
01:01:35 --> 01:01:38 people being impacted are your leaders
01:01:38 --> 01:01:40 coming from different places are you
01:01:40 --> 01:01:43 know physical events in those places or
01:01:43 --> 01:01:45 considering those people and I know that
01:01:45 --> 01:01:47 you know this because you got you know
01:01:47 --> 01:01:48 people who are connected to your
01:01:48 --> 01:01:50 ministry in all different countries
01:01:50 --> 01:01:52 these are the things that we have to you
01:01:52 --> 01:01:54 know consider when we are leading um and
01:01:54 --> 01:01:57 shepherding but if was he was the one
01:01:57 --> 01:01:59 that really began to speak and still
01:01:59 --> 01:02:01 speaks he's like this ain't nothing
01:02:01 --> 01:02:04 compared like this ain't nothing it's
01:02:04 --> 01:02:08 gonna be like at all um but yeah he um I
01:02:08 --> 01:02:10 will tell you it's it's interesting that
01:02:10 --> 01:02:12 you asked this question I ended the
01:02:13 --> 01:02:15 prayer Thon uh with these exact words
01:02:15 --> 01:02:18 that I'm getting ready to share um I
01:02:18 --> 01:02:21 ended it by thanking my husband for
01:02:21 --> 01:02:23 giving me the freedom to do what I
01:02:23 --> 01:02:26 needed to do because the pray and
01:02:26 --> 01:02:29 anything that you do in Ministry it is
01:02:29 --> 01:02:32 heavy lift I will say that there was an
01:02:32 --> 01:02:35 adjustment in terms of him understanding
01:02:35 --> 01:02:38 like my study time because when he comes
01:02:38 --> 01:02:39 to the office door it kind of looks it
01:02:39 --> 01:02:41 might look like I'm not doing anything
01:02:41 --> 01:02:43 right and I'm like no like you you have
01:02:43 --> 01:02:47 to understand that this is my work like
01:02:48 --> 01:02:50 me sitting in here studying for four or
01:02:50 --> 01:02:53 five hours straight my only job right
01:02:53 --> 01:02:57 now is right and and it's it's serving
01:02:57 --> 01:02:59 and leading these people and leading
01:02:59 --> 01:03:01 this prayer movement and all of those
01:03:01 --> 01:03:04 things so as a result I got to put in
01:03:04 --> 01:03:06 work like like I'm working right like I
01:03:06 --> 01:03:08 need to six seven eight hours you know
01:03:08 --> 01:03:11 in terms of the the the totality of the
01:03:11 --> 01:03:15 things that I do in a day and um uh so
01:03:15 --> 01:03:17 that was an adjustment I just think
01:03:17 --> 01:03:19 again because he wasn't used to it he
01:03:19 --> 01:03:22 had never been with anyone um who was in
01:03:22 --> 01:03:25 Ministry the way that I am um but he
01:03:25 --> 01:03:29 came along he is the creative mind um
01:03:29 --> 01:03:31 behind like a lot of what is on my
01:03:31 --> 01:03:34 social media he will come with ideas he
01:03:34 --> 01:03:37 captures all of my videos he does all of
01:03:37 --> 01:03:40 my reals um he does all of the editing
01:03:40 --> 01:03:42 like his he's he's a creative right
01:03:43 --> 01:03:44 where I'm more analytical and like
01:03:44 --> 01:03:48 methodical he's very very creative um he
01:03:48 --> 01:03:49 you know makes sure that I'm taking care
01:03:50 --> 01:03:52 of if I'm doing an all day event he's
01:03:52 --> 01:03:54 going to make sure I'm fed when I'm done
01:03:54 --> 01:03:56 he knows I need quiet time he knows I
01:03:56 --> 01:03:59 need food he knows I need rest like
01:03:59 --> 01:04:02 quiet time yes and we had to grow in
01:04:02 --> 01:04:04 that though I again I want to be honest
01:04:04 --> 01:04:06 and say that we had to grow in that but
01:04:06 --> 01:04:09 there was a baseline to work with right
01:04:09 --> 01:04:11 already a Believer he already serves the
01:04:11 --> 01:04:13 Lord like there were some things that we
01:04:13 --> 01:04:17 just did not have to uh hash out but he
01:04:17 --> 01:04:21 has learned you know to be uh my partner
01:04:21 --> 01:04:24 in Ministry um even when he's not seen
01:04:24 --> 01:04:28 and since then we've authored a a book
01:04:28 --> 01:04:30 together a book on fasting and living a
01:04:30 --> 01:04:33 consecrated life he has led prayers
01:04:33 --> 01:04:37 since then um and just to see like how
01:04:37 --> 01:04:39 he has grown but also how I have grown
01:04:39 --> 01:04:41 as well how I've grown in my
01:04:41 --> 01:04:43 communication how I've grown in
01:04:43 --> 01:04:45 Partnership I never had to partner with
01:04:45 --> 01:04:47 anybody in Ministry mornings with God
01:04:47 --> 01:04:50 wasn't a partnership it was me by myself
01:04:50 --> 01:04:52 so all of these things but the biggest
01:04:52 --> 01:04:55 thing is that my husband gives me the
01:04:55 --> 01:04:56 freedom
01:04:56 --> 01:05:00 to be who I am in Ministry never ever
01:05:00 --> 01:05:04 Cuts me down he is not competing with me
