00:00:00 --> 00:00:13 Music.
00:00:13 --> 00:00:21 All right, y'all, get ready for another edition of News and Trends with your host, Dave and Lynn.
00:00:25 --> 00:00:26 Welcome.
00:00:33 --> 00:00:37 Welcome, welcome to News and Trends with Dave and Lynn. This is one of your hosts, Mr.
00:00:37 --> 00:00:42 David Coker, the proprietor of Dave's Marketing, promoter, event planner,
00:00:42 --> 00:00:47 and all-around good guy, hanging out with my partner, Mr. Leonard Young. What's up, guy?
00:00:48 --> 00:00:52 Hey, Dave. Everything is good. This is Leonard Young, CEO of National Black
00:00:52 --> 00:00:58 Guide, DelawareBlack.com, black media specialist, and all-around good guy. How's it going, Dave?
00:01:00 --> 00:01:06 It's going sir I can't explain I've got a little bit of a head cold today but
00:01:06 --> 00:01:12 the change of weather came and got me you know even though it gets cold cold
00:01:12 --> 00:01:15 you know allergy season kind of.
00:01:17 --> 00:01:22 Catches up with people but other than that as long as I'm still above ground
00:01:22 --> 00:01:27 I'm good everything alright with you yeah everything good Good. No complaints.
00:01:27 --> 00:01:32 Just hopefully looking to have a productive work week, you know,
00:01:32 --> 00:01:34 campground and non campground.
00:01:35 --> 00:01:40 So, you know, just just trying to make sure I'm hitting all these goals by the end of the year.
00:01:40 --> 00:01:43 So so that 2025 doesn't look like 2024.
00:01:43 --> 00:01:50 I'll put it like that. About that, you know, it's always about progression, not depression. Right.
00:01:51 --> 00:01:59 Yeah, definitely. Yeah. Yeah, so you had a successful event this weekend down at the camp, right?
00:02:00 --> 00:02:04 Yeah, yep, yep. Successful. Put it on the back burner. Moving on.
00:02:06 --> 00:02:08 Well, that's good.
00:02:10 --> 00:02:12 Actually, this year has been pretty good for you guys down there, right?
00:02:13 --> 00:02:17 Yeah, you know, it really has. You know, I think what it is is and,
00:02:17 --> 00:02:20 you know, it's something that probably doesn't need to be explained too much.
00:02:20 --> 00:02:25 But and I'll just be blunt, you know, black people are always looking for places
00:02:25 --> 00:02:32 to go where they can feel safe and explore, you know, new opportunities that
00:02:32 --> 00:02:32 they haven't been able to.
00:02:32 --> 00:02:36 So, of course, for the campground, there's a lot of people who wanted to go
00:02:36 --> 00:02:40 camping, whether it's RVing, tenting or staying in a cabin.
00:02:41 --> 00:02:46 But, you know, maybe the options that they knew of weren't what they might have
00:02:46 --> 00:02:47 thought were safe spaces.
00:02:48 --> 00:02:52 So, you know, of course, by being a black owned campground, that kind of provides
00:02:52 --> 00:02:56 that opportunity where, you know, they can kind of get their start with us.
00:02:56 --> 00:02:58 Because we have a lot of people say, OK, I've never been camping,
00:02:59 --> 00:03:03 but when I do or, you know, this time, you know, my first time,
00:03:03 --> 00:03:05 that'd be a GNR camp for him.
00:03:05 --> 00:03:09 And then, Dave, you know, I think it is, too, is once they come one time and
00:03:09 --> 00:03:13 you kind of know what to expect, you know, know what what it's like,
00:03:13 --> 00:03:19 then you can kind of go anywhere and be, you know, semi prepared just based
00:03:19 --> 00:03:22 on, OK, it's not as hard as I thought.
00:03:22 --> 00:03:25 So setting up the tent is easy. You know, parking the RV.
00:03:26 --> 00:03:30 This is how people in the campground operate. So, you know, I think long story
00:03:30 --> 00:03:34 short, I think a lot of people have been, you know, getting their first time
00:03:34 --> 00:03:38 camping at our campground. And we appreciate it as well.
00:03:38 --> 00:03:43 Have you noticed a swing as far as minorities coming there?
00:03:45 --> 00:03:49 So, you know, it's kind of hard to tell, but I mean, I definitely think this
00:03:49 --> 00:03:53 year compared to last year, we have been on an upswing.
00:03:53 --> 00:03:56 To be honest, we haven't done anything to track the numbers,
00:03:56 --> 00:04:03 but, you know, all the busy weekends, you know, we definitely have a good percentage of black people.
00:04:04 --> 00:04:07 And then all the other weekends, they're kind of sprinkled in.
00:04:07 --> 00:04:13 And I'm sure we have a higher percentage than, you know, non-black campgrounds. Right.
00:04:14 --> 00:04:18 You know, hopefully we can keep everything up and, you know,
00:04:18 --> 00:04:21 but, you know, kind of like the prior owner said, we don't want to be known
00:04:21 --> 00:04:23 as the black campground.
00:04:23 --> 00:04:26 But, of course, you know, that kind of runs everybody else away.
00:04:27 --> 00:04:31 But, you know, we want to be a campground that's inclusive of everybody that
00:04:31 --> 00:04:33 they can feel safe and still have a good time.
00:04:34 --> 00:04:39 Well, go ahead with your DEI. Yeah, we're trying to.
00:04:39 --> 00:04:44 Dave, DEI is not dead at GNR Campground. There you go. There you go.
00:04:44 --> 00:04:47 There you go. That's all that matters. That's all that matters.
00:04:47 --> 00:04:50 So I'm happy for you.
00:04:50 --> 00:04:55 In fact, Dave, we're waiting for you to come down for one of them tent camping experiences.
00:04:56 --> 00:04:57 I won't be doing tents.
00:05:00 --> 00:05:03 But I might come down there and hang out in one of the cabins.
00:05:04 --> 00:05:07 Right. All right. Well, yeah, I mean, come on. Bring it.
00:05:08 --> 00:05:12 Even though I've been seeing some of these tent hookups, man, they ain't playing.
00:05:13 --> 00:05:17 You know, Dave, And, you know, a lot of times the black people,
00:05:17 --> 00:05:22 too, which is even more because I would just think most black people would prefer RVs or cabins.
00:05:22 --> 00:05:27 But, Dave, I have seen some tent experience. So, Dave, you may like this one.
00:05:28 --> 00:05:34 So I guess Labor Day Sunday when, you know, a lot of people check out on Sunday
00:05:34 --> 00:05:36 or maybe Labor Day Monday.
00:05:36 --> 00:05:40 But I think for Labor Day weekend and I went by some of the tent campers on
00:05:40 --> 00:05:45 Sunday, there was a black group of tent campers. and I went over to one and
00:05:45 --> 00:05:47 they had such a great setup.
00:05:47 --> 00:05:51 They, they had a, like a 10 by 10 canopy tent.
00:05:52 --> 00:05:54 You know, they, they usually a lot of cookouts and stuff. I mean.
00:05:56 --> 00:06:01 It's really just one of the pop-up tents that people set like tables under and
00:06:01 --> 00:06:03 chairs if they're eating, that type of setup.
00:06:03 --> 00:06:10 And then so the guy had a net going around the tent. So it's almost closed in.
00:06:11 --> 00:06:15 And in the tent, there were two reclining chairs.
00:06:16 --> 00:06:21 He had a projector that was probably hooked up to his phone and they were watching
00:06:21 --> 00:06:26 the football game on TV. So they had a TV in the tent.
00:06:26 --> 00:06:31 They had two recliners, like a little projector that put it on the, maybe a TV or a screen.
00:06:32 --> 00:06:39 And they were reclined, smoking cigars, watching the football game. And I was like, damn.
00:06:39 --> 00:06:45 I was like, you know, they, yeah, no, yes, yes, definitely professional. They were doing it up.
00:06:46 --> 00:06:49 They definitely were doing it up. So long story short, I mean,
00:06:49 --> 00:06:52 you know, I think a lot of time when we think of tent camp, we think of the
00:06:52 --> 00:06:55 old tents where you got to bend the rods and stick it in.
00:06:56 --> 00:06:59 But some of the tents, like you said, some of the tents they have now are,
00:06:59 --> 00:07:06 are nice and big, you know, sleeping multiple people, four to six people, you know, eight to 10.
00:07:06 --> 00:07:11 They got the electrical cup. They got everything with them. Right. Yeah. Yeah.
00:07:12 --> 00:07:19 I know a friend of mine who, um, they, uh, they developed this, uh.
00:07:20 --> 00:07:23 Wireless cable where they can
00:07:23 --> 00:07:26 go anywhere pick up anything on any
00:07:26 --> 00:07:29 channel on tv yeah i mean it's
00:07:29 --> 00:07:32 crazy so they'd be sitting there watching all kinds of movies and so
00:07:32 --> 00:07:45 forth and their tent sleeps four excuse me it's huge and uh they and plus they
00:07:45 --> 00:07:51 have you know they bring all the gear as far as cooking and all that stuff, man.
00:07:51 --> 00:07:55 I mean, I'd be like, how much do you guys spend on this stuff?
00:07:55 --> 00:08:06 He told me that they probably have spent $5 on just the tent and all the
00:08:06 --> 00:08:07 different things that they use.
00:08:07 --> 00:08:11 Right. And they still haven't gotten everything they want yet.
00:08:12 --> 00:08:19 I mean, Dave, if you are a camper and you go to the have you i mean have you
00:08:19 --> 00:08:21 been to cabelo's cabela yeah i've been in there,
00:08:22 --> 00:08:28 they i can see a person who is a camper and a shopper and who likes to be up on the latest,
00:08:29 --> 00:08:33 spending all their money up in cabela's because the day i'm not even a camper
00:08:33 --> 00:08:38 like that yeah i'm not even a camper when i go in cabela's i'm like oh you know
00:08:38 --> 00:08:43 this they got everything in there half the stuff i see in cabela's i never knew
00:08:43 --> 00:08:46 existed and it makes you want stuff that you You didn't even know you won it.
00:08:47 --> 00:08:53 Yeah, it's an interesting place. It really is. Yeah, I've seen it. I know. Yeah.
00:08:55 --> 00:08:56 Well, yeah,
00:08:57 --> 00:09:03 Excuse me. Well, here we are doing an infomercial for your campground. Yep, there it is.
00:09:03 --> 00:09:09 Come one, come all. There you go. If you guys are in Delaware,
00:09:09 --> 00:09:13 go check them out at least once down at the DNR campground.
00:09:13 --> 00:09:19 If you're outside of Delaware, come on to Delaware to check out the DNR campground.
00:09:20 --> 00:09:26 There you go. So, speaking of announcements, I think we have another announcement
00:09:26 --> 00:09:27 that you want to talk about, right?
00:09:27 --> 00:09:30 Uh not yet you don't want to do that yet no
00:09:30 --> 00:09:36 i'm probably wait till next week okay all right okay so y'all got something
00:09:36 --> 00:09:42 to listen to next tune into for next week man you know we're coming up on our
00:09:42 --> 00:09:50 anniversary too i know three years yeah well going into four years right yeah so So,
00:09:50 --> 00:09:54 you know, the average life of a podcast is how long?
00:09:55 --> 00:10:00 I don't know. Probably a couple episodes. Months. Yeah. Yeah.
00:10:00 --> 00:10:05 So, you know, a couple episodes or whatever. So here we are getting ready to
00:10:05 --> 00:10:06 go on to year number four.
00:10:06 --> 00:10:12 So we really appreciate everybody who's been tuning in all this time.
00:10:13 --> 00:10:18 And for those who tune in sporadically or those who are brand new listeners,
00:10:18 --> 00:10:23 we really appreciate you all and thank you for taking the time to listen to
00:10:23 --> 00:10:29 News and Trends with Dave and Len we continue to bring good news,
00:10:30 --> 00:10:38 excuse me good news, bad news and all news to you so we really appreciate you
00:10:38 --> 00:10:46 guys so thank you okay and I apologize people I don't know the cold just came
00:10:46 --> 00:10:49 on me but we're going to get through this.
00:10:49 --> 00:10:52 I'm going to make it through and we'll be fine.
00:10:52 --> 00:10:55 So, all right, so let's get to our story for today.
00:10:57 --> 00:11:04 Our favorite, our favorite representative in DC, Ms.
00:11:04 --> 00:11:07 Jasmine Crockett is at it again.
00:11:08 --> 00:11:15 It's a go propaganda representative. Jasmine Crockett, Crockett calls out GOP.
00:11:17 --> 00:11:21 Well, I should say GOP propaganda because that's what they're talking about.
00:11:21 --> 00:11:28 Called out GOP and anti-DEI racism during House Oversight Committee here.
00:11:29 --> 00:11:34 And it says, the story says, you can always count on Representative Jasmine
00:11:34 --> 00:11:42 Crockett from Texas to keep it a buck about the mega-fight racism that has consumed the GOP.
00:11:42 --> 00:11:48 On Thursday last week, the congresswoman who famously called out Georgia Rep.
00:11:48 --> 00:11:55 Marjorie Taylor Greene in her bleach-blonde, bed-built, butch-body comment,
00:11:55 --> 00:12:03 brainlessness on the House floor earlier this year, kept the truth train going
00:12:03 --> 00:12:05 in regards to the Republicans'
00:12:05 --> 00:12:09 transparently racist and anti-DEI propaganda.
00:12:09 --> 00:12:13 Again but funny dei has really become
00:12:13 --> 00:12:17 a real big thing now remember we first
00:12:17 --> 00:12:21 started talking about it here on news of trend right a few months back you know
00:12:21 --> 00:12:27 so i'm doing a republican-led house oversight committee hearing title without
00:12:27 --> 00:12:34 subtlety a legacy of incompetence consequences of the
00:12:34 --> 00:12:38 Biden-Harris administration's policy failure,
00:12:38 --> 00:12:43 the committee chair, James Comer.
00:12:44 --> 00:12:51 Representative Kentucky, declared everything Joe Biden and Kamala Harris has touched has failed.
00:12:52 --> 00:12:57 We generally just met all the policies under President Joe Biden and Vice President
00:12:57 --> 00:13:04 Kamala like Harris that Republicans don't like or agree with failed because
00:13:04 --> 00:13:06 Republicans don't like or agree with them.
00:13:08 --> 00:13:11 The commissioner of the federal communications commission brandon
00:13:11 --> 00:13:17 carr also spoke during the hearing echoing comrade's claim about harris policies
00:13:17 --> 00:13:25 they said 42 billion program dollar program being led by vice president harris
00:13:25 --> 00:13:29 is being used to pursue a climate change agenda agenda.
00:13:30 --> 00:13:37 DEI requirements, technology biases, price controls, preferences for government-run
00:13:37 --> 00:13:44 networks, and rules that will undoubtedly lead to wasteful overbuilding, Carr said.
00:13:45 --> 00:13:52 Later during the hearing, Crockett circled back to the part of Carr's remarks that included DEI.
00:13:53 --> 00:13:56 Now, we have a sample of the video.
00:13:56 --> 00:14:00 Let's listen to what Crockett had to say.
00:14:00 --> 00:14:05 Can you play that for us? Somebody got their feelings hurt in a debate,
00:14:05 --> 00:14:08 and I don't understand why we're wasting taxpayer dollars.
00:14:08 --> 00:14:13 Next time, tell your big boy to show up and be ready to handle the woman in
00:14:13 --> 00:14:16 the room who hopefully will become the next president of the United States.
00:14:16 --> 00:14:20 And the final thing that I will say is that this election, I didn't ask you a question.
00:14:20 --> 00:14:24 Listen, the final thing that I will say is that this election is the best example
00:14:24 --> 00:14:27 of why y'all are so afraid of diversity, equity and inclusion,
00:14:27 --> 00:14:33 because then you can't have a simple minded, underqualified white man somehow end up ascending.
00:14:33 --> 00:14:38 Instead, you pay attention to the qualified black woman that is on the other
00:14:38 --> 00:14:39 side. And with that, I will yield.
00:14:40 --> 00:14:45 Wow. You know, she said a lot in 41 seconds right there. Yeah. Yeah.
00:14:46 --> 00:14:52 And you as long as you need is a minute. Mm hmm. And she's going to say a lot anyway. Right.
00:14:55 --> 00:14:57 What's your thoughts on what you have to say?
00:14:58 --> 00:15:02 I mean, you know, it's so funny because, you know, they I think like when we
00:15:02 --> 00:15:10 look at that about how politics used to be handled in the House of Representatives and the Senate.
00:15:10 --> 00:15:17 You know, it was a much different, much different conversations and tones were being had.
00:15:17 --> 00:15:24 But, you know, Jasmine Crockett is talking to these people like they just,
00:15:24 --> 00:15:29 you know, everyday people, which I think is cool in a way.
00:15:30 --> 00:15:34 Does she come across as an angry black woman sometimes?
00:15:35 --> 00:15:43 I don't think she comes across as an angry black woman. But I do think and I'm for sure.
00:15:44 --> 00:15:48 And as she said, these white people who need the big boy pants,
00:15:49 --> 00:15:53 I'm sure they don't know how to take her sometime because, you know,
00:15:53 --> 00:15:57 what she what she says to them is not used to what how they're being spoken
00:15:57 --> 00:16:00 to in the Senate. So I know I know it probably sets them back.
00:16:00 --> 00:16:04 So even that person, I guess, honorable car or whoever that was,
00:16:04 --> 00:16:08 who tried to speak in the video and she just kind of shut them down.
00:16:10 --> 00:16:17 So but i mean i you know i think she is one person who said what she feels she's very passionate,
00:16:18 --> 00:16:25 and you know just what she was saying about you know people will have to respect
00:16:25 --> 00:16:30 the qualifications of kamala harris so which which i think is accurate as well
00:16:30 --> 00:16:34 well one thing i'll say about her is that,
00:16:34 --> 00:16:38 first of all, she's not unapologetic about anything that she has to say.
00:16:38 --> 00:16:45 The stuff that she says, though, she always talks facts.
00:16:46 --> 00:16:52 She's not just saying things just to be saying things. She is very smart,
00:16:53 --> 00:16:57 very educated, knows her stuff,
00:16:58 --> 00:17:01 and she is really up and coming.
00:17:03 --> 00:17:06 I could see her doing some real
00:17:06 --> 00:17:09 big things i mean but of
00:17:09 --> 00:17:11 course she's going to have her
00:17:11 --> 00:17:17 detractor yeah definitely and there's going to be a lot of people who probably
00:17:17 --> 00:17:25 will have problems with her but i like her i think she's brilliant i think she
00:17:25 --> 00:17:30 says a lot of things that even some of those white people don't want to say.
00:17:31 --> 00:17:34 Well, they wish they could say, but they don't. It's that way.
00:17:35 --> 00:17:39 Now, the question is, how far do you think she can go? Could you see her being
00:17:39 --> 00:17:41 president of the United States?
00:17:42 --> 00:17:44 Can I see her being that? Yeah.
00:17:46 --> 00:17:48 Do I think she would get there?
00:17:50 --> 00:17:57 I can see a little too much smarts for everyone.
00:17:59 --> 00:18:07 If you know what I mean. I think she would be, I can see her being in a very high position, though.
00:18:07 --> 00:18:15 Sure. Like, if Harris wins the presidency, I see her throwing her a bone.
00:18:15 --> 00:18:18 And I think it would be a real nice bone.
00:18:19 --> 00:18:22 She should be the head of some type of committee
00:18:22 --> 00:18:25 or some type of or the
00:18:25 --> 00:18:30 secretary of something you know what i mean or create
00:18:30 --> 00:18:36 a program i mean look she's always talking dei she needs to be in position to
00:18:36 --> 00:18:45 be able to handle whatever is dealing with that right now but if it was up to
00:18:45 --> 00:18:49 our Gen Xers and Gen Zers, I can see her being president.
00:18:49 --> 00:18:54 I don't know if the baby boomers are ready for it. Right.
00:18:55 --> 00:18:58 And that's across the board, whites and blacks.
00:18:59 --> 00:19:06 But these Gen Xers and these Gen Zers, they would vote her in because she got
00:19:06 --> 00:19:12 that attitude, she got that fire, she got that swag. No, she does.
00:19:13 --> 00:19:17 And, you know, kind of like the opposite of Donald Trump, you know,
00:19:17 --> 00:19:24 every time she says something, it's almost, you know, people want to know what it is. It's repeated.
00:19:24 --> 00:19:27 It catches a lot of attention. It goes viral.
00:19:28 --> 00:19:34 And that's the thing, because he's not talking for a long time when these things do go viral.
00:19:34 --> 00:19:39 You know, he's talking at the most for maybe five minutes, but he says so much
00:19:39 --> 00:19:41 in that short period of time.
00:19:42 --> 00:19:47 That catches your attention. I don't... Look, there's a couple people on the
00:19:47 --> 00:19:51 internet that anytime they do a reel or a clip or something like...
00:19:51 --> 00:19:57 Anytime there's a reel or a clip that goes by, you don't want to miss what they
00:19:57 --> 00:20:00 got to do, what they're doing or what they're saying. Right.
00:20:01 --> 00:20:05 And he's definitely one of those people. So...
00:20:07 --> 00:20:13 And people in Washington. I know when they go into those hearings and whatever,
00:20:13 --> 00:20:17 they'd be like, man, see here. Right.
00:20:18 --> 00:20:24 I'm sure of that. Let me make sure I don't upset her, you know, today or whatever.
00:20:25 --> 00:20:31 Tread lightly. Or don't call my name. Don't pick on me. I don't want to go viral today.
00:20:31 --> 00:20:37 Right. So, but I just saw that story and I thought I'd bring it to everybody because I know
00:20:37 --> 00:20:41 attention for those who haven't heard that she is
00:20:41 --> 00:20:44 she is definitely on point with a
00:20:44 --> 00:20:47 lot of the stuff that she says i think we're going to see some big things all
00:20:47 --> 00:20:54 right well sounds good dave we'll be on the lookout okay all right yep all right
00:20:54 --> 00:20:59 so dave our next story is a story and when i saw it i almost couldn't believe
00:20:59 --> 00:21:02 it because i cannot believe we're still doing this in 2024,
00:21:03 --> 00:21:04 about to go into 2025.
00:21:05 --> 00:21:11 But the name of this article says school cancels homecoming game after students
00:21:11 --> 00:21:18 display the word N-I-G-G-E-R in a viral photo.
00:21:18 --> 00:21:25 So Dave, this happened in an Oklahoma school district and they canceled all
00:21:25 --> 00:21:29 of their homecoming activities after students went
00:21:29 --> 00:21:33 viral for displaying a racial slur. Have you seen this photo?
00:21:35 --> 00:21:43 OK, so along with our listening audience, you'll have to make sure you Google to see this photo.
00:21:43 --> 00:21:48 But in the photo that that had been widely circulated around social media,
00:21:48 --> 00:21:55 six students from this high school, it looks like Tisha Mingo High School. They were all boys.
00:21:56 --> 00:22:01 Apparently, they were part of the football team, spelled out the word,
00:22:01 --> 00:22:07 of course, N-I-G-G-E-R, with scrabble tiles that were attached to their shirts.
00:22:07 --> 00:22:12 So apparently, and I'm about to go to the picture now, and unfortunately,
00:22:12 --> 00:22:15 Dave, you won't be able to see it because it's not on that screen.
00:22:15 --> 00:22:22 But almost if you can imagine six boys lined up left to right,
00:22:22 --> 00:22:29 each of them wearing a black shirt, except for one wearing a blue shirt and one wearing gray shirt.
00:22:30 --> 00:22:34 And they were, of course, for our older viewers, were familiar with what Scrabble
00:22:34 --> 00:22:37 tiles look like for the younger viewers. yours, maybe not so much.
00:22:37 --> 00:22:43 But basically, a Scrabble tile was a little wooden block that had a letter on it.
00:22:44 --> 00:22:49 And then, of course, in the lower right hand of the block was a number.
00:22:49 --> 00:22:53 That number was the number of points you would get if you completed a word.
00:22:54 --> 00:23:00 So these six students have a piece of paper with a Scrabble tile on it,
00:23:00 --> 00:23:05 and they are lined up for this word to be spelled out among Among the six of
00:23:05 --> 00:23:07 them. And it looks like it happened in school.
00:23:07 --> 00:23:14 Of course, all of the six boys are white or Caucasian. Of course, Caucasian.
00:23:15 --> 00:23:18 Of course, the superintendent, you know, as they always do, they have to clean
00:23:18 --> 00:23:20 up after these students.
00:23:20 --> 00:23:25 So, of course, they said the students actions were an extremely poor decision
00:23:25 --> 00:23:28 and they issued an apology.
00:23:28 --> 00:23:33 And basically what the school said was race, racism and discrimination in any
00:23:33 --> 00:23:37 form will never be tolerated or accepted on our campus.
00:23:37 --> 00:23:41 It's not reflective of the values of our students, school, community,
00:23:41 --> 00:23:45 our student body and staff, Staff include members from all backgrounds,
00:23:45 --> 00:23:50 races, religions, which is one of the many aspects that makes up our campus.
00:23:51 --> 00:23:55 So, you know, and it's so crazy because when I look at that,
00:23:55 --> 00:24:00 Dave, I'm actually surprised students actually do this and think nothing's going
00:24:00 --> 00:24:04 to happen. You know, I mean, like, I just can't imagine.
00:24:04 --> 00:24:09 OK, it's different if you're in the privacy of your own home and you're doing
00:24:09 --> 00:24:12 racist stuff and calling certain words.
00:24:13 --> 00:24:19 But to do something in school, take a picture of it and then have it posted.
00:24:19 --> 00:24:22 You know, Dave, you know, I mean, it's just unfathomable.
00:24:22 --> 00:24:29 I just can't believe people are this unintelligent not to think that it's not
00:24:29 --> 00:24:31 going to go viral. They're not going to get in trouble.
00:24:31 --> 00:24:35 You know, there's got to be no consequences of action. Well, what are your thoughts?
00:24:36 --> 00:24:39 First of all, what state is this happening? This was Oklahoma.
00:24:40 --> 00:24:44 What city? Let me just see what the city is.
00:24:44 --> 00:24:48 So let me see where this this high school is.
00:24:49 --> 00:24:52 So this high school is in.
00:24:54 --> 00:24:59 So it actually matches the name of the school. So it's in Pichamingo,
00:24:59 --> 00:25:01 Oklahoma. Let me just see where this is on the map.
00:25:02 --> 00:25:06 All right. So this is apparently in the middle of nowhere. So it's not close
00:25:06 --> 00:25:10 to any major Oklahoma City. No.
00:25:12 --> 00:25:20 The middle of nowhere. Correct. Okay. So, you kind of answered part of this already.
00:25:20 --> 00:25:23 Oklahoma is in the middle of nowhere.
00:25:26 --> 00:25:32 Why wouldn't they think they can get away with it?
00:25:32 --> 00:25:40 Because we have a person running for president of the United States who's running
00:25:40 --> 00:25:46 with 34 charges that have been, you know, he's been found guilty of.
00:25:47 --> 00:25:52 But yet he still allowed to run for the United, the most powerful office in the free world.
00:25:53 --> 00:25:59 And he happens to look like now. So if he can get away with the things that
00:25:59 --> 00:26:02 he's done, why don't they think they could do the same thing?
00:26:03 --> 00:26:05 Yeah. Okay.
00:26:07 --> 00:26:10 Obviously, you know, he has incited racism.
00:26:10 --> 00:26:15 Racism and issues with the other races so
00:26:15 --> 00:26:18 these boys only been been doing
00:26:18 --> 00:26:27 what they've been seeing in the news what they felt was okay and basically saying
00:26:27 --> 00:26:34 they're not doing anything to him so why can't we get away with it think about
00:26:34 --> 00:26:38 it their parents are probably i'm not saying all All of them are.
00:26:39 --> 00:26:43 But I'm wondering how many of their parents had a problem with what they did.
00:26:44 --> 00:26:48 I think it's one of the things they only had a problem because they got caught.
00:26:48 --> 00:26:51 There you go. Trump only had a problem because he got caught.
00:26:52 --> 00:26:57 But, you know what I am wondering, so the article does say the school took immediate
00:26:57 --> 00:27:02 disciplinary action, but it doesn't necessarily say what it was.
00:27:02 --> 00:27:04 You know, is this a slap on the wrist? Is this detention?
00:27:05 --> 00:27:07 Is this suspension? Is this expulsion?
00:27:10 --> 00:27:14 Just told them to go to their room you
00:27:14 --> 00:27:16 know of course we know that's not
00:27:16 --> 00:27:20 a punishment anymore so right you know
00:27:20 --> 00:27:24 these kids today and
00:27:24 --> 00:27:29 not all of them don't get me wrong but you know i was in authority the other
00:27:29 --> 00:27:36 day and i think he was a teenager his mother was telling him that she She had
00:27:36 --> 00:27:43 to go to work and apparently he wanted her to take him to another store.
00:27:44 --> 00:27:50 And she said that she couldn't do it. And he just started cussing at her and
00:27:50 --> 00:27:52 see what my father left you.
00:27:53 --> 00:27:57 And all of this comes. I mean, I felt so bad for the mom.
00:27:58 --> 00:28:02 I wanted to go over to him and just call him up. I'm telling you, I really did.
00:28:04 --> 00:28:11 You should have. there was another lady it was a white lady who went over to
00:28:11 --> 00:28:15 him and said son you can't talk to your mother that way,
00:28:16 --> 00:28:22 please stop and he gave her a look and he did stop talking he listened to what
00:28:22 --> 00:28:28 she had to say you know and he calmed down the mother just stood there and cried,
00:28:29 --> 00:28:36 we're in a different day and time we really are these kids today day have so
00:28:36 --> 00:28:38 many distractions. It's unreal.
00:28:40 --> 00:28:45 And you know what I'm talking about because you're not a kid. And you see what goes on.
00:28:46 --> 00:28:49 You know, there's no social interaction.
00:28:50 --> 00:28:56 There are verbal skills that they may have. How often do you get a chance to witness it?
00:28:58 --> 00:29:03 Trying to have a conversation for more than five minutes? Almost impossible.
00:29:04 --> 00:29:07 So, this is why we have these kind of issues.
00:29:09 --> 00:29:14 That's my thought. Yep. Understood. Understood and agreed.
00:29:16 --> 00:29:21 Yeah. It's really a shame. It really is. It's really a shame.
00:29:23 --> 00:29:28 I don't know how we fixed it, and I don't think it's going to get any better.
00:29:28 --> 00:29:31 It's going to get worse. It really is. It's...
00:29:32 --> 00:29:36 Moving on to our next story, speaking of our favorite guy to talk about.
00:29:37 --> 00:29:42 Did you hear, by the way, that Trump camp was up there saying that Kamala Harris
00:29:42 --> 00:29:47 was being fed answers to her debate questions to her head?
00:29:49 --> 00:29:52 Earring, earpiece. Yeah, ear pods or whatever.
00:29:53 --> 00:29:57 I'll tell you, this guy just doesn't quit, man. And, you know,
00:29:57 --> 00:30:03 they even if she was being fed, it still doesn't help out how outrageous and bogus his answers were.
00:30:04 --> 00:30:07 You know, true. He didn't answer any questions. Right.
00:30:08 --> 00:30:12 Not one. He didn't answer one question. All right.
00:30:13 --> 00:30:14 Moving on to our next story.
00:30:15 --> 00:30:17 Trump blames COVID-19.
00:30:19 --> 00:30:27 You can't write this stuff, man. Trump blames COVID-19 on dust from China.
00:30:28 --> 00:30:31 Dust from China, Leonard. Okay, this is what he said.
00:30:32 --> 00:30:37 He said, China has... Wait, hold on, let me see.
00:30:39 --> 00:30:45 Donald Trump claims that the COVID-19 pandemic began with dust blown over to
00:30:45 --> 00:30:51 the country from China has left many of social media again questioning in his intelligence.
00:30:52 --> 00:30:58 Former President Donald Trump is receiving new blowback due to his comments
00:30:58 --> 00:31:01 concerning the rise of COVID-19 in the United States.
00:31:02 --> 00:31:09 He sat down for a one-on-one interview with Cheryl Atkinson of the Poor Measures
00:31:09 --> 00:31:15 Bill on Sunday at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach.
00:31:17 --> 00:31:23 Jason turned into the pandemic turned to the pandemic and Atkinson asked Trump
00:31:23 --> 00:31:26 how you, how you handled the situation.
00:31:27 --> 00:31:31 And in terms of overall, I think I did an amazing job. Of course,
00:31:31 --> 00:31:33 everything he does is amazing.
00:31:34 --> 00:31:38 We're COVID Trump insisted. I never got the credit for it.
00:31:38 --> 00:31:45 Remember that more people died under the Biden Harris administration than died
00:31:45 --> 00:31:46 under the Trump administration.
00:31:47 --> 00:31:53 He said, I never got great credit on fighting of the China virus with this COVID.
00:31:54 --> 00:32:00 He called it the China virus. Right. But we call it the China virus. Dave, I'll say so.
00:32:01 --> 00:32:06 He's pissing off the Chinese, the Haitians, you know, slowly but surely.
00:32:06 --> 00:32:08 He's going to piss off every nationality.
00:32:08 --> 00:32:11 But I'm sorry. He don't care.
00:32:11 --> 00:32:21 He really don't. He said, but we like, he said, what we call it the China March
00:32:21 --> 00:32:25 because we like to be accurate on what the president can say.
00:32:26 --> 00:32:32 But if you think of what I've done, I took a disaster that came into our shores.
00:32:33 --> 00:32:40 That dust flew in from China and we started making things like the ventilator.
00:32:40 --> 00:32:46 He added that he would not be given credit for the fantastic job remarking to
00:32:46 --> 00:32:48 the Heritage Foundation,
00:32:49 --> 00:32:56 sponsored host nobody knew what it was nobody knew where it came from the claim
00:32:56 --> 00:33:02 was part of almost 20 minute interview where he also declared that if he.
00:33:04 --> 00:33:10 If he had if he loses in November November, the presidential election,
00:33:11 --> 00:33:14 he won't run again in 2028.
00:33:14 --> 00:33:16 Oh, wow. That's scary.
00:33:18 --> 00:33:21 It's not the first time that Trump has uttered the false claim.
00:33:21 --> 00:33:27 He has made it as part of a rambling sentence saying, we had that damn dust
00:33:27 --> 00:33:35 come in from China, the China virus, during his campaign rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, back in May.
00:33:36 --> 00:33:42 But his insistence on repeating it brought him ridicule from those who got wind
00:33:42 --> 00:33:46 of the statement, with many bemoaning his lack of intelligence.
00:33:47 --> 00:33:55 He is, with everything that he says, showing that he's not fit to run this country.
00:33:57 --> 00:34:01 Not at all. Why do people want him to be president, Leonard?
00:34:02 --> 00:34:08 Dave, you know, Trump has a loyal following. I'm not exactly sure what he did,
00:34:09 --> 00:34:14 but I think it just goes to show that that, let me tell you what I think it is.
00:34:15 --> 00:34:19 He's going against the norm. And I think there's a bunch of people out there
00:34:19 --> 00:34:21 who are just tired of the norm.
00:34:21 --> 00:34:26 But, you know, just because he's going against the norm doesn't mean he's the right choice.
00:34:26 --> 00:34:30 You know what I mean? So, but I think they are just stuck on him.
00:34:30 --> 00:34:33 And then of course, as people say, he breeds hate, he breeds,
00:34:33 --> 00:34:35 he breeds needs contempt.
00:34:37 --> 00:34:41 And I think, to be honest, that's how, because, you know, Dave,
00:34:41 --> 00:34:44 I mean, the last five, six years, you know, for America has been rough,
00:34:44 --> 00:34:49 all these prices going up and not blaming anybody or saying anybody saved the
00:34:49 --> 00:34:51 day. But a lot of people are frustrated.
00:34:51 --> 00:34:57 So I think a lot, I think because he expresses frustration, I think a lot of people just kind.
00:35:00 --> 00:35:04 Well, his bandwagon must be really short and yellow.
00:35:06 --> 00:35:11 Okay. Or orange. Or orange, yes, yes.
00:35:13 --> 00:35:20 To me, when you hear the people who think he's the greatest thing and you look
00:35:20 --> 00:35:24 at him and say to yourself, what is it really?
00:35:25 --> 00:35:30 I mean, did he promise you money or did he do this or he did that?
00:35:30 --> 00:35:36 And even with, it's so funny, even with all the stuff that's going on with Puff
00:35:36 --> 00:35:42 Daddy or Diddy or whatever you want to call him, Sean Puffycombe,
00:35:43 --> 00:35:49 Do you know how close those two were and how Trump, you saw a picture of Puff
00:35:49 --> 00:35:56 Daddy, you saw a picture of him back during certain periods of the 90s?
00:35:56 --> 00:36:01 They were always together. And, you know, I'm not surprised because if we think
00:36:01 --> 00:36:08 about it, Trump had a reputation for being a partier, loving women,
00:36:08 --> 00:36:12 you know, wanting to be around them. and, of course, he had money.
00:36:12 --> 00:36:18 So it doesn't surprise me that he and Diddy, even though they may not have been
00:36:18 --> 00:36:23 in the same exact circles, were kind of birds of a feather.
00:36:26 --> 00:36:27 Well, they're saying all these
00:36:27 --> 00:36:33 names are about to come out in reference to being connected to Diddy.
00:36:34 --> 00:36:39 There's pictures. Every time I look up, I see pictures of Donald Trump with Diddy.
00:36:40 --> 00:36:43 But yet nobody says anything about that connection,
00:36:44 --> 00:36:49 don't you find that weird so I have heard people are talking about the connection
00:36:49 --> 00:36:55 is just it's not the top connection they talk about but why wouldn't that be
00:36:55 --> 00:36:57 a top connection when this guy is running for United States President,
00:36:58 --> 00:37:02 you know I think it depends on who you ask I mean when I hear the top people
00:37:02 --> 00:37:05 they're talking about is like Kevin Hart,
00:37:06 --> 00:37:11 Usher you know You know, some other people like that.
00:37:14 --> 00:37:18 But, I mean, I've had, you know, I think it depends on the circle you're in.
00:37:18 --> 00:37:20 Certain circles, they're probably talking about Donald Trump.
00:37:21 --> 00:37:25 But, unfortunately, I have no idea what circle I'm in, but all I hear is,
00:37:25 --> 00:37:27 I hear Kevin Hart as being one of the number one.
00:37:28 --> 00:37:31 Kevin Hart, man. Woo!
00:37:32 --> 00:37:40 They said that boy, you know, he got the listeners right now. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:37:45 --> 00:37:48 I can't even say his name without coughing. That's really bad.
00:37:48 --> 00:37:52 Well, Dave, it's probably that dust that he says is coming over from China.
00:37:52 --> 00:37:56 I think that's what it is. I think it's the dust coming from China that got
00:37:56 --> 00:37:58 me all messed up right now.
00:37:59 --> 00:38:04 So let's hope that he's wrong about that. The fact that he would even say something that dumb.
00:38:05 --> 00:38:10 Well, Dave, remember, this is the same person during the solar eclipse who looked
00:38:10 --> 00:38:12 up at the sun with no glasses on.
00:38:12 --> 00:38:15 So, I mean, that right there should tell you everything you need to know about
00:38:15 --> 00:38:23 the dust, the China virus, the Haitians eating dogs and cats. I mean, you know.
00:38:23 --> 00:38:28 Got that poor community all upset and being threatened.
00:38:29 --> 00:38:36 That's a mess. It really is. But anyway, Mr. Trump, go sniff some dust.
00:38:37 --> 00:38:45 See if you can handle it. Okay? OK, so anyway, enough, enough about him. What you got next?
00:38:46 --> 00:38:49 Yep. So our next story is talking about someone we were just talking about.
00:38:50 --> 00:38:54 Puff Daddy, Sean Diddy Combs. So this was an article I found that I thought
00:38:54 --> 00:38:59 was interesting because, to be honest, it never exactly crossed my mind.
00:38:59 --> 00:39:06 But the article from the BIN Network says, here's what Diddy is being served in federal prison.
00:39:06 --> 00:39:10 So I thought this was interesting. have you seen anything i
00:39:10 --> 00:39:13 heard anything about what he's eating no i haven't
00:39:13 --> 00:39:17 heard about what he's eating but i heard the thing today but
00:39:17 --> 00:39:22 go ahead yep so this article was saying and i mean it looks like it's dated
00:39:22 --> 00:39:29 today but so it looks like his day starts at 6 a.m and it starts with a serving
00:39:29 --> 00:39:35 of cereal fruit and breakfast cake dave do you know what breakfast cake is.
00:39:39 --> 00:39:43 That sounds like a no like like pancakes
00:39:43 --> 00:39:48 or something yeah i'm i'm not sure what breakfast cake is i i saw that there
00:39:48 --> 00:39:52 and in in my worst memories i'm just thinking it looks like something probably
00:39:52 --> 00:39:58 thrown together and baked yeah but i'm not sure so it looks like on the weekends
00:39:58 --> 00:40:00 and i I guess this is the treat.
00:40:00 --> 00:40:04 They also have access to oatmeal and toast.
00:40:04 --> 00:40:08 They say that coffee is only served on the weekends.
00:40:10 --> 00:40:14 It says that lunch is normally served around 11 a.m.
00:40:14 --> 00:40:20 And it consists of dishes including hamburgers, baked fish, beef tacos,
00:40:20 --> 00:40:24 along with scrambled eggs and biscuits on the weekends.
00:40:24 --> 00:40:27 I mean, that right there doesn't sound too bad, right?
00:40:27 --> 00:40:30 Yeah, it sounds like he's doing pretty good. Right.
00:40:31 --> 00:40:35 Yeah. He ain't eating what everybody else is eating, I'm sure.
00:40:35 --> 00:40:39 Well, I'm assuming this is what everybody else is eating, too,
00:40:39 --> 00:40:42 because I don't believe they're giving them any special treatment.
00:40:42 --> 00:40:45 No, I'm talking about, you know, the hardcore.
00:40:46 --> 00:40:49 Oh, OK. Yep. Gotcha. All right.
00:40:49 --> 00:40:56 So here it says for the dinner options, they include chicken fajitas, pasta and roast beef.
00:40:56 --> 00:41:03 And it says heart-healthy meals like vegan options are available,
00:41:03 --> 00:41:08 which would include lentils, tofu, and baked beans are also on the menu.
00:41:09 --> 00:41:13 Dinner is usually served after the 4 p.m. headcount.
00:41:13 --> 00:41:17 Dave, I don't know about you, but if I'm eating dinner at 4 p.m.
00:41:17 --> 00:41:22 And breakfast is not till 6 a.m., I know every morning my stomach is going to
00:41:22 --> 00:41:27 be growling because I don't know if I can wait that long. Wow.
00:41:29 --> 00:41:36 Yep. So, of course. I'm crazy. I'm not sure. Oh, yeah, like commissary. Yeah, yeah, I'm sure.
00:41:37 --> 00:41:41 Yeah. So, here the article also just goes into saying that, you know,
00:41:41 --> 00:41:44 of course, Diddy tried to get bail last week.
00:41:44 --> 00:41:50 He was denied and he tried to get bail based on saying that the conditions of
00:41:50 --> 00:41:56 the Brooklyn facility were horrific, not felt for a human pretrial detention.
00:41:56 --> 00:42:03 And this is the part I did not hear. Did he requested to live at home alone
00:42:03 --> 00:42:09 in Florida with a monitored, free approved guest list?
00:42:10 --> 00:42:13 Now, did you know that part? I did not know that.
00:42:14 --> 00:42:19 Out on bail, that was his request to be out on bail, living probably in a Florida
00:42:19 --> 00:42:24 mansion with certain people able to come over.
00:42:24 --> 00:42:29 Were you aware of that part of his bail request?
00:42:29 --> 00:42:31 I think I had heard something about that.
00:42:33 --> 00:42:39 But first of all, think about it. His bail request was denied because they didn't
00:42:39 --> 00:42:42 think he was going to stay in the state.
00:42:42 --> 00:42:46 Oh, yeah. Yeah, I'm sure he would have bought a Russell Simmons and went to
00:42:46 --> 00:42:49 one of those countries where he cannot be extradited.
00:42:49 --> 00:42:57 Russell probably already made the call. Come on. Come on. I got you. I'm sure. Right.
00:42:58 --> 00:43:02 With everything that's coming out every day, there's something new.
00:43:03 --> 00:43:06 More and more people are coming up with these laws.
00:43:07 --> 00:43:13 You and I knew as soon as he paid Cassie, that was it. Right.
00:43:14 --> 00:43:16 And he paid her with a quickness.
00:43:16 --> 00:43:22 So he must have said, or whoever, her lawyer, whatever, must have said,
00:43:22 --> 00:43:30 I suggest you take care of this with a quickness before anything else happens.
00:43:33 --> 00:43:38 Ironic because they said she had been asking for a settlement for a while.
00:43:39 --> 00:43:46 But the day she went public for the public settlement, he was right on that.
00:43:47 --> 00:43:51 I'm assuming he probably thought she would never come out and put anything out there.
00:43:52 --> 00:43:56 Well, that video. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
00:43:57 --> 00:44:02 I don't know. That was bad. There's so many people talking right now.
00:44:02 --> 00:44:09 It's crazy. between his bodyguard and you know other people and people that
00:44:09 --> 00:44:16 have worked for him in the past and you know you got albie short talking did
00:44:16 --> 00:44:19 you hear about his daughter was not.
00:44:19 --> 00:44:22 You know she's been doing some
00:44:22 --> 00:44:25 talking too that he looked
00:44:25 --> 00:44:28 at her father differently now because i'm sure
00:44:28 --> 00:44:31 all the stuff that's going on yeah plus they
00:44:31 --> 00:44:34 fed all the kids too yeah but well
00:44:34 --> 00:44:37 dave i can't lie some of the older kids
00:44:37 --> 00:44:40 i'm sure they know about it and i'm
00:44:40 --> 00:44:48 sure they they've seen coming you know it's okay they let's let's just say let's
00:44:48 --> 00:44:56 say 2020 puff daddy is your father right and let's say you're 18 20 25 if he
00:44:56 --> 00:44:58 has a party at his house and there's a bunch
00:44:58 --> 00:45:02 of celebrities over there are you going yeah
00:45:02 --> 00:45:05 yeah so i mean i'm i'm sure they have
00:45:05 --> 00:45:13 seen stuff no stuff heard stuff so i'm i'm also curious if any of them may be
00:45:13 --> 00:45:19 indicted to testify or you know if they may get accused of participating and
00:45:19 --> 00:45:23 you know may face any jail time as well Well,
00:45:23 --> 00:45:28 you know, he had Justin Bieber at the Macquarie when he was 100.
00:45:28 --> 00:45:33 You know, you see all the videos been popping up with Justin Bieber, you know.
00:45:38 --> 00:45:42 It's big man but you know I saw
00:45:42 --> 00:45:48 a clip with Clyde Davis recent clip he was coming out of the restaurant,
00:45:49 --> 00:45:55 with his significant other and TMZ was trying to ask him a question,
00:45:56 --> 00:46:00 Clyde would not address any of the questions they were all about puppies,
00:46:01 --> 00:46:08 and they were all saying well didn't you teach him everything he knows and then
00:46:08 --> 00:46:10 you teach him this, then you teach him that.
00:46:10 --> 00:46:18 And, you know, he has your business sense and this and you guys,
00:46:18 --> 00:46:25 you know, you were seeing a lot at a lot of his parties and so forth, you know, so aren't.
00:46:25 --> 00:46:30 And what about the people that have died under your two watches?
00:46:31 --> 00:46:34 Whitney, Phyllis Hyman, I mean,
00:46:34 --> 00:46:38 Biggie, you know recently Craig Mack
00:46:38 --> 00:46:41 I mean you know they
00:46:41 --> 00:46:45 were talking about all these people that have
00:46:45 --> 00:46:52 passed away because of you know because they were eaten up and used by you guys
00:46:52 --> 00:47:00 I mean it was interesting all you saw was Clyde Davis kept walking wouldn't
00:47:00 --> 00:47:04 say a word got in his vehicle got in his vehicle
00:47:04 --> 00:47:11 rolled up his window and kept it moving yep i would have done the same yeah
00:47:11 --> 00:47:20 i mean you know it's bad man this this stuff that's going on it's bad and you know i mean,
00:47:22 --> 00:47:26 they're talking about all you know kevin hart and all the stuff that's going on with him and.
00:47:29 --> 00:47:34 Seem like every celebrity they talk to or every celebrity they find these old
00:47:34 --> 00:47:36 clips. Did you see the clip with the?
00:47:38 --> 00:47:45 It was an old Conan or Brian Conan O'Brien Show where he's talking to puppies
00:47:45 --> 00:47:52 interviewing puppies and he said tell me with what a P Diddy party is like,
00:47:53 --> 00:47:57 He said would and he says he said,
00:47:57 --> 00:48:00 well, first of all, you got to have this and you got to have that.
00:48:01 --> 00:48:03 You know, he said, we're going to have women and we're going to have this.
00:48:04 --> 00:48:06 We're going to have drink. We're going to have this and that.
00:48:07 --> 00:48:12 He said, but most of all, you know, you got to have locked doors. Oh my goodness.
00:48:15 --> 00:48:19 And what you call Conan O'Brien was like smiling and laughing,
00:48:19 --> 00:48:24 you know, when Diddy was talking. But when he said something about the locked
00:48:24 --> 00:48:27 doors, Conan O'Brien just looked at him and said, wait, what are you talking about?
00:48:28 --> 00:48:31 He said, yeah, you got to have doors that lock because, you know,
00:48:31 --> 00:48:35 you don't want to buy it coming in when you're doing your thing and all of that kind of stuff.
00:48:35 --> 00:48:38 And he said, on all the doors?
00:48:38 --> 00:48:41 He said, yeah, on all the doors. You got to have locked doors.
00:48:42 --> 00:48:47 You know, Conan O'Brien just said, man, something just felt kind of sick.
00:48:48 --> 00:48:54 And he said it with a serious face. you know and this was way back during the night,
00:48:55 --> 00:49:01 so a lot of these videos are coming up yeah a lot of these videos are coming up,
00:49:01 --> 00:49:06 and you know there's a lot of people been talking about it for years like Orlando
00:49:06 --> 00:49:11 Brown you know who Orlando Brown is you know people said he was crazy for years
00:49:11 --> 00:49:15 because he got on them drugs and everything,
00:49:16 --> 00:49:19 but he was talking about.
00:49:22 --> 00:49:25 Turn them out and force them to have sex with him.
00:49:26 --> 00:49:29 I mean, I'm telling you, man, it's going to be a lot of crazy stuff coming out.
00:49:30 --> 00:49:35 Well, we'll have to wait and see how this news unravels over the weeks.
00:49:36 --> 00:49:42 Yeah, well, it definitely will. But anyway, anything else to that story?
00:49:42 --> 00:49:47 No, I mean, that was pretty much it. Just kind of recap that kind of what he
00:49:47 --> 00:49:50 did and what he was facing, which we all heard about.
00:49:50 --> 00:49:53 So that was about it it just kind of lists what his uh
00:49:53 --> 00:49:58 food was and he said there oh it did say they did move him to suicide watch
00:49:58 --> 00:50:02 so yeah well they moved him to like the part of the prison that they moved him
00:50:02 --> 00:50:11 to apparently as opposed to a bunch of old high school how can you get it out high profile sure,
00:50:11 --> 00:50:19 people there you know some are celebrities some are people with money so they're
00:50:19 --> 00:50:22 like people. Right. You know.
00:50:25 --> 00:50:29 It's their general population, but not in general population. Right.
00:50:29 --> 00:50:33 Yeah. A little segregated. Yeah. I get it.
00:50:33 --> 00:50:38 So, I mean, we will kind of wait to see what happens. Anything happens?
00:50:39 --> 00:50:44 It's coming real soon, bro. It's coming real soon. I thought TMZ had the second
00:50:44 --> 00:50:49 part of their documentary they did on Diddy.
00:50:49 --> 00:50:54 This week, man, on Thursday, they got a second part of the documentary that
00:50:54 --> 00:50:56 they did about him. Mm-hmm.
00:50:57 --> 00:51:01 This has that R. Kelly vibe to it. You know what I mean?
00:51:01 --> 00:51:06 So, yeah. All right. Moving on.
00:51:07 --> 00:51:15 So, you know, Dave, we have a highly requested segment coming back to us here at News and Trends.
00:51:15 --> 00:51:21 Everywhere I go. One person. I mean, but one is enough. One is enough.
00:51:21 --> 00:51:23 That was supposed to be my inside voice. I'm sorry. Go ahead.
00:51:24 --> 00:51:29 So, everywhere I go, everyone's like, Leonard, when are you going to do another
00:51:29 --> 00:51:31 Leonard's Corner? And I'm like, I don't know.
00:51:31 --> 00:51:36 I know. I know. Go ahead. So, Dave, for this week's Leonard's Corner,
00:51:37 --> 00:51:40 I have a question for you that's going to be right up there.
00:51:41 --> 00:51:44 This week's Leonard's Corner, WDAK.
00:51:45 --> 00:51:49 Yes, go ahead. Yep. So, I mean, if I do it again, it'll be next week's.
00:51:49 --> 00:51:51 And if I do it after that, it'll be the week's after.
00:51:52 --> 00:51:55 Anyway. WDAK. There you go. Yeah.
00:51:56 --> 00:52:00 Well, I mean, this week, that means that this question goes with today.
00:52:00 --> 00:52:03 It doesn't mean Leonard Horner not coming back.
00:52:03 --> 00:52:06 All right, Dave. Did you get my spelling?
00:52:07 --> 00:52:13 Oh, W-V-A-K? Yeah. I had to say it three times. Anyway, go ahead.
00:52:13 --> 00:52:17 All right. Well, for our listening audience, we know Dave's not quitting his day job anytime soon.
00:52:18 --> 00:52:27 All right. So this week's question for you, Dave. So for the upcoming Eagles game, who do they play?
00:52:28 --> 00:52:34 They play Tampa Bay, I think. Okay. So for the next upcoming Eagles game,
00:52:34 --> 00:52:36 where they play Tampa Bay,
00:52:37 --> 00:52:45 and you had to choose, you could only see the first down play or...
00:52:46 --> 00:52:51 Could only see the fourth down play for the entire game.
00:52:51 --> 00:52:55 So, of course, you know, the first down, you would see every single first down.
00:52:56 --> 00:53:03 For the fourth down, you would only see, you know, the plays that made it to fourth down.
00:53:03 --> 00:53:09 If you had to choose between watching only first downs or only fourth downs,
00:53:09 --> 00:53:12 which one would you choose and why?
00:53:14 --> 00:53:18 The easy question for me, man. It's definitely going to be the fourth down.
00:53:19 --> 00:53:25 Eagles usually do a lot with fourth downs. They'll usually go for it on fourth down.
00:53:26 --> 00:53:31 A lot of times when they do that push-push on a fourth down because they only
00:53:31 --> 00:53:34 need a yard or two, or they'll kick a field goal.
00:53:35 --> 00:53:39 If they don't score a touchdown, they'll kick a field goal during that fourth down.
00:53:39 --> 00:53:46 So it's a great possibility that there's a chance for positive yards or positive
00:53:46 --> 00:53:49 results with that fourth down.
00:53:50 --> 00:53:54 Now, of course, it is the Eagles. So it's not guaranteed. Right.
00:53:56 --> 00:54:05 But I like their chances with going for it on fourth down.
00:54:05 --> 00:54:07 Okay. All right. Makes sense.
00:54:08 --> 00:54:12 What about you? You know, I would definitely say fourth down as well because,
00:54:12 --> 00:54:13 you know, my time is short.
00:54:13 --> 00:54:20 So fourth down that fourth down is more likely to be the most exciting parts
00:54:20 --> 00:54:26 of the game because you know either they're gonna get the yardage make or miss
00:54:26 --> 00:54:31 a field goal or it's gonna get turned over so you know I feel like those are
00:54:31 --> 00:54:33 the more exciting memorable,
00:54:33 --> 00:54:39 plays of the game over first down yeah they're definitely gonna keep it interesting.
00:54:40 --> 00:54:46 Definitely all right That is a pretty easy question.
00:54:47 --> 00:54:51 Yeah, that was right up your alley. Now, for next week's Leonard Corner,
00:54:51 --> 00:55:00 W-E-A-K, as you said, we may hit you over the head a little bit harder with
00:55:00 --> 00:55:03 the question of the week.
00:55:04 --> 00:55:08 I ain't scared. I ain't scared. Okay. All right. Well, Dave,
00:55:08 --> 00:55:11 I mean, last time you weren't scared, but when I said, are you smarter than
00:55:11 --> 00:55:15 a fifth grader, you kind of started, your voice started trembling a little bit.
00:55:15 --> 00:55:17 I don't know. These fifth graders,
00:55:17 --> 00:55:21 these days, man, they want some other kind of math right now, man.
00:55:21 --> 00:55:24 No, I mean, you're definitely right. And don't let it be a fifth grade math
00:55:24 --> 00:55:30 question, because you and I may be up here looking a little, you know, sad face.
00:55:30 --> 00:55:35 Yeah, they got fifth graders doing algebra and calculus and all kinds of stuff.
00:55:38 --> 00:55:41 I always remember when I was in school,
00:55:44 --> 00:55:49 got a lower grade like a C on my report card, I was always honored.
00:55:51 --> 00:55:55 So, if I got a C, it would always be a math class.
00:55:56 --> 00:56:01 You know, I did like geometry, I like basic math, but you give me calculus and
00:56:01 --> 00:56:08 algebra 2 and 3 and all that stuff, I ain't want no part of that math, man.
00:56:09 --> 00:56:12 I said, when am I going to use it? Now, of course, somebody like you that went
00:56:12 --> 00:56:17 on to do engineer, that's a different story. No, Dave, I didn't use it either.
00:56:18 --> 00:56:23 Oh, you didn't? No, when I got my first job, we had computers and calculators.
00:56:23 --> 00:56:27 You know, you had the program where you just stick in a number and it gives
00:56:27 --> 00:56:30 you the answer. So, you know. We didn't have all that.
00:56:32 --> 00:56:35 Yeah. That's what I'm telling you.
00:56:35 --> 00:56:41 We won't even talk about it now with these kids. That's a whole different story.
00:56:44 --> 00:56:50 I mean, you got children, you got kids right now. A friend of mine's daughter is going to school.
00:56:50 --> 00:56:58 It's taken an 11-month course for a nurse's practitioner.
00:56:58 --> 00:57:05 It's 11 months. It's a four-year course crammed into 11 months. Who does that?
00:57:06 --> 00:57:11 I don't know. I guess that's one of those accelerated programs for sure.
00:57:12 --> 00:57:16 You know that that i mean that's
00:57:16 --> 00:57:21 crazy to me you know but if you can do it then and if you get through it that
00:57:21 --> 00:57:28 means you're supposed to be doing that job right so yep that's how it goes that's
00:57:28 --> 00:57:35 how it goes but there you have it folks i'm sorry about be coughing my way through it but.
00:57:37 --> 00:57:44 You know, the show must go on. So there you have it. News and Trends with Dave and Len for this week.
