00:02:14 --> 00:02:17 Yeah, we're used to it. Yeah, yeah. You're used to it by now.
00:02:18 --> 00:02:24 So I tell you, it's Monday. I mean, it's Tuesday. What am I talking about? It's Tuesday.
00:02:25 --> 00:02:31 And, you know, we actually have a sunny day. It didn't start out that way, but it is a sunny day.
00:02:31 --> 00:02:34 And after all that we've been through over the
00:02:34 --> 00:02:37 last few days it's it's good to see the sun and
00:02:37 --> 00:02:40 you know but it's getting ready to go away from what i understand right yeah
00:02:40 --> 00:02:43 yeah i just saw the weather report like we got some bad weather coming through
00:02:43 --> 00:02:48 here again but oh for real but i mean this will be hot tomorrow it's going to
00:02:48 --> 00:02:53 be hot but it's going to be it's going to be rainy so yeah yeah so yeah but
00:02:53 --> 00:02:57 you know that kind of you know that kind of leads us into,
00:02:58 --> 00:03:01 went on this weekend i figured we'll we'll
00:03:01 --> 00:03:04 start the show for those of you who did not
00:03:04 --> 00:03:07 get a chance to come and hang out with us you know
00:03:07 --> 00:03:10 what a weekend that was had down at
00:03:10 --> 00:03:14 the gun and ride country club
00:03:14 --> 00:03:18 or gnr campground i call it the country club this weekend because that's what
00:03:18 --> 00:03:23 it was this weekend owned by mr leonard young and his wife yolanda great job
00:03:23 --> 00:03:29 you guys did this weekend and hosting and and you know you know lending out
00:03:29 --> 00:03:31 your your playground i'm gonna call it.
00:03:33 --> 00:03:41 To to sam bailey and the wilmington gents of distinction what a wonderful time
00:03:41 --> 00:03:48 for a black music festival and the rain didn't stop anybody well stop some people
00:03:48 --> 00:03:52 but it didn't stop the show I'm going to put it that way. It just stopped the show.
00:03:53 --> 00:03:58 But we're actually going to spend a little time talking about what happened this weekend.
00:03:58 --> 00:04:04 So who better to start out talking about it than one of the main participants
00:04:04 --> 00:04:10 of the show itself, the day itself, the weekend, the whole weekend, I should say, Mr.
00:04:10 --> 00:04:14 DJ Tim Dogg, who kind of kicked things off on Friday.
00:04:14 --> 00:04:20 Yeah, you know, ladies and gentlemen, for those who attended the second annual
00:04:20 --> 00:04:26 Black Music Festival hosted by Sam Bailey and the Wilmington Gentleman of Distinction,
00:04:26 --> 00:04:31 which was held on the grounds of the GNR campground owned by Mr. Leonard Young.
00:04:32 --> 00:04:34 All I have to say is, you missed out.
00:04:35 --> 00:04:43 You missed out. And we had an absolute great time from the minute we got on the camp around Friday.
00:04:43 --> 00:04:47 That's when it started. So to recap the entire weekend, I'm going to try to
00:04:47 --> 00:04:49 do this as fast as I possibly can.
00:04:50 --> 00:04:56 But to recap the entire weekend, I arrived Friday night around about 4.30. It rained. Yes, it did.
00:04:56 --> 00:05:01 But when I got there, the We Are One Experience band, phenomenal band.
00:05:01 --> 00:05:02 And shout out to those fellas.
00:05:03 --> 00:05:07 Man, if you haven't heard this band before, they sound just like Mays.
00:05:07 --> 00:05:09 Hands down. Those guys are fantastic.
00:05:10 --> 00:05:13 We were all there with the sound engineers getting set up and everything.
00:05:13 --> 00:05:18 Rain came through. We just sat there. We waited. We waited. Then I got to get to know the fellas.
00:05:18 --> 00:05:23 I told them it was my anniversary and told them the backstory of the campground and everything.
00:05:24 --> 00:05:28 After that, rain stopped. Sun came out. Next thing we know, people start putting
00:05:28 --> 00:05:30 up their tents. I'm like, okay, here we go.
00:05:31 --> 00:05:35 I'm like here we go that's what's Friday right this was Friday night yes sir
00:05:35 --> 00:05:42 this was Friday night around about 5.30 from 5.30 until like dusk people were
00:05:42 --> 00:05:44 putting up their tents and everything so Mr.
00:05:44 --> 00:05:51 Bailey decided to have what he wanted to call a welcome meet and greet type event Friday night,
00:05:52 --> 00:05:56 so he asked me to play and I was more than happy to go ahead and provide them
00:05:56 --> 00:05:59 with great grown folks music that I always do and,
00:05:59 --> 00:06:02 it was nice. It was really nice.
00:06:02 --> 00:06:04 The folks that came there were actually folks who stayed on the campground.
00:06:05 --> 00:06:08 And some folks that were staying at hotels about a mile away from the campground.
00:06:09 --> 00:06:13 Celebrated a couple of birthdays in there Friday night, had an awesome time.
00:06:14 --> 00:06:17 They had a great time. They was getting prepared and ready for Saturday morning,
00:06:17 --> 00:06:20 which of course, next morning, Saturday morning gets up, we get up.
00:06:20 --> 00:06:24 I come down because I actually stayed on the campground. I got up,
00:06:24 --> 00:06:27 come out there and do my sound checks. It was 730 in the morning.
00:06:27 --> 00:06:28 People were already there.
00:06:29 --> 00:06:32 They were already there setting up. And I said then, I said,
00:06:32 --> 00:06:35 yeah, this is going to be a good day.
00:06:35 --> 00:06:38 But of course, we did have Mother Nature came through.
00:06:39 --> 00:06:46 And, you know, she showed off a little bit. But those people were not deterred. Those people stayed.
00:06:47 --> 00:06:52 They partied because during the rain, if I'm not mistaken, if my memory serves
00:06:52 --> 00:06:56 me correctly, I was performing. Yeah, I played music for them during the rain. Yeah. that.
00:06:56 --> 00:07:01 And then one of the bands was playing in between that as well.
00:07:02 --> 00:07:06 But the rain stopped. Once the rain stopped around about 1230,
00:07:06 --> 00:07:10 quarter to one, sun came out and we were off and running.
00:07:11 --> 00:07:15 It felt like a black family view it really did it really did it was a lot of
00:07:15 --> 00:07:20 love out there all the artists were grace with shout out to basket soul who
00:07:20 --> 00:07:27 did their thing as always uh the southern soul band which which escapes my mind
00:07:27 --> 00:07:30 my uh my memory right now but they sounded great,
00:07:30 --> 00:07:37 highlight for me though was an all-female go-go band dumb girls dumb girls showed
00:07:37 --> 00:07:41 off and shout to michelle harman who played the saxophone i've actually done
00:07:41 --> 00:07:42 shows with michelle before,
00:07:43 --> 00:07:48 so to see michelle come on stage and when she did sweet love and held that note,
00:07:49 --> 00:07:53 whoo she held that note for a good two minutes ladies and gentlemen i kid you
00:07:53 --> 00:07:59 not she held that note and i mean they blew they blew they blew the roof off that stage,
00:08:00 --> 00:08:04 everybody you know was they they if you could have gave them a standing ovation they got they got.
00:08:06 --> 00:08:11 What's so funny is that they basically were already told they'll be back next year. Yeah, yeah.
00:08:12 --> 00:08:15 They were told. It was a unanimous...
00:08:16 --> 00:08:19 Just by the reaction of the crowd, you know. Yeah, just by the reaction of the
00:08:19 --> 00:08:21 crowd, they got a unanimous, yo, they're coming back.
00:08:22 --> 00:08:28 So they had a good time. For those who weren't there, it was texting me and
00:08:28 --> 00:08:33 hitting me on Facebook while I was trying to keep over 1 people partying.
00:08:33 --> 00:08:37 All I got to say is you missed out. Just don't miss out next year.
00:08:37 --> 00:08:38 Sam's already set the date.
00:08:39 --> 00:08:42 He's already set the date for the first weekend in June.
00:08:43 --> 00:08:46 And I don't want to give away some of the things that Mr. Bailey has already
00:08:46 --> 00:08:52 stated, but I'm telling y'all, you will get to know you. I will say like this.
00:08:54 --> 00:08:58 After his pre-New Year's Eve party in December, be on the lookout.
00:08:58 --> 00:09:02 Be on the lookout because that's when he will go ahead and put it out there.
00:09:03 --> 00:09:05 He's going to put it out there after that. I'm telling you. So,
00:09:05 --> 00:09:08 ladies and gentlemen, after New Year's Eve, it's a pre-New Year's Eve party.
00:09:08 --> 00:09:11 Go to Sam Bailey's page because he's going to tell you what's going on.
00:09:12 --> 00:09:17 I already know. So, I'm not even going to drop that nugget. I already know what's going on.
00:09:18 --> 00:09:23 All right. Well, hey, Tim, you had to tell me and Dave off air then.
00:09:23 --> 00:09:27 Yeah, I had to tell you and Dave off air what's going on. But I also wanted
00:09:27 --> 00:09:32 to give kudos and shout outs to Leonard Young and his wife and his entire staff.
00:09:32 --> 00:09:38 They did an awesome job of hosting. His staff was very, very pleasurable.
00:09:40 --> 00:09:43 Man, kudos to your staff, man. Your staff is on point.
00:09:43 --> 00:09:47 So thank you so much, sir, for putting together a wonderful team because everybody
00:09:47 --> 00:09:52 from the bartenders to the people who was at the front gate to the people who
00:09:52 --> 00:09:56 was at the office, everybody did a great job there. So thank you. Thank you, man.
00:09:56 --> 00:10:01 Yeah, appreciate it. Yeah, I mean, and Dave, I thought the event was very nice too.
00:10:01 --> 00:10:06 So people, there were some people who started coming in Thursday and they,
00:10:06 --> 00:10:12 Friday, we probably had like 30, 35 people pull in. Thank God I wasn't working in the office.
00:10:12 --> 00:10:16 But, and I think Friday, I think it, oh yeah, it rained Friday.
00:10:16 --> 00:10:20 I remember getting soaking wet on Friday, but yeah, I mean, I thought it was a great event.
00:10:21 --> 00:10:24 Kind of like, kind of like we expected. It was a very mature crowd.
00:10:25 --> 00:10:29 You know, I feel like people didn't come with like, not to say attitude,
00:10:29 --> 00:10:30 but everyone came very friendly.
00:10:30 --> 00:10:35 It really did kind of feel like a family reunion because everyone was friendly.
00:10:35 --> 00:10:36 Everyone was pretty sociable.
00:10:37 --> 00:10:41 Everyone wanted to have a good time, meet new people, all that.
00:10:41 --> 00:10:44 I especially like how Tim, and I think you did it outside too.
00:10:44 --> 00:10:47 I missed it. I'm wondering when you were inside Friday night,
00:10:47 --> 00:10:48 you were walking around.
00:10:49 --> 00:10:52 You were like, you know, everyone looks at you. Meet somebody.
00:10:52 --> 00:10:54 You want me to tell you what I think is so funny about that?
00:10:54 --> 00:11:00 A lot of times when people say that at church and all that, It doesn't seem genuine.
00:11:00 --> 00:11:05 I feel like people are just going around. But on Friday night when Tim did it,
00:11:05 --> 00:11:08 you know how you hear stuff, but you immediately forget?
00:11:08 --> 00:11:10 So I heard Tim say it, but I wasn't really paying attention.
00:11:10 --> 00:11:11 I was doing something else.
00:11:12 --> 00:11:15 And I'm walking, and somebody was like, hey, how you doing? Someone shook my
00:11:15 --> 00:11:18 hand. Then the next person was like, hey, how you doing? And in my mind,
00:11:18 --> 00:11:19 I'm like, why are all these people?
00:11:20 --> 00:11:24 Why are these people? And then when I looked around, I saw everybody in the
00:11:24 --> 00:11:28 room was really kind of just meeting the people. And I was like, oh, okay. Yeah.
00:11:30 --> 00:11:34 I thought it was a good event. Tim, I was telling Dave, we were a little short
00:11:34 --> 00:11:38 staff, so that's why we were in that activity hall busting our butts all the time.
00:11:38 --> 00:11:43 I did not get to see any of the performances except for We Are One,
00:11:43 --> 00:11:46 and I heard Best Kept Soul. I didn't get to see them.
00:11:48 --> 00:11:53 That's why I was asking if there was a video, because I would love to see a video recap.
00:11:54 --> 00:11:59 Somebody asked about that, too. Does Sam think, he didn't think to video any of that?
00:12:00 --> 00:12:03 Well, he did. It was a drone. There's drone video footage of him.
00:12:04 --> 00:12:13 Oh, no. I didn't see him. Yeah, he had a drone doing video shots of the show. Okay.
00:12:13 --> 00:12:17 And I did ask him, you know, would that footage be available soon?
00:12:17 --> 00:12:21 And he said he's going to try to get that footage out as much as he possibly can.
00:12:21 --> 00:12:26 But, yeah, there was some footage because I know I videotaped as much as I could
00:12:26 --> 00:12:28 because, of course, like you, Leonard, I was running back and forth.
00:12:28 --> 00:12:34 Yeah. Because I ended up being part-time coordinator and musical director,
00:12:34 --> 00:12:35 getting this place, this place.
00:12:35 --> 00:12:39 I'm like, okay, you carry on stage. You got to do this. And trying to DJ at the same time.
00:12:40 --> 00:12:45 But it was, like you said, everybody was really, really genuine.
00:12:46 --> 00:12:52 And you would think that that many people out there, you were going to have
00:12:52 --> 00:12:54 a problem. And you didn't have not one.
00:12:55 --> 00:12:57 People didn't complain about what they had to set up at.
00:12:57 --> 00:13:00 Like it was like okay you can't set up here but you can set up there
00:13:00 --> 00:13:03 okay cool i don't want to block you can i move over here yeah
00:13:03 --> 00:13:06 you can go there okay think it's okay if i sit next to you yeah so when
00:13:06 --> 00:13:12 i went after sam you know did the initial good morning he told me he said tim
00:13:12 --> 00:13:16 i want you to play lift every voice and sing i said okay sir not a problem so
00:13:16 --> 00:13:20 i played that and then he said same thing he just said this he did this same
00:13:20 --> 00:13:24 thing he did last night i said yes sir i knew exactly what he wanted so i i
00:13:24 --> 00:13:26 made the announcement again i said ladies gentlemen good morning.
00:13:27 --> 00:13:30 Before we even get started with the day, turn to your neighbor and just say,
00:13:30 --> 00:13:32 good morning. Meet somebody you haven't met before.
00:13:32 --> 00:13:35 And you should have seen them. Everybody was just walking around.
00:13:35 --> 00:13:38 Good morning. How you doing? Hey, how you doing? Let's have a good time. Have a good time of day.
00:13:39 --> 00:13:45 It was really, really, you know, like a black love flesh. That's what I call it. It was really nice.
00:13:46 --> 00:13:49 Yeah. Yeah. Glenn, you got any other observations?
00:13:50 --> 00:13:52 Yeah. I mean, overall, you know, I just thought it was a good event.
00:13:53 --> 00:13:55 People were very friendly. I met a lot of people.
00:13:56 --> 00:13:59 And, you know, I think a lot of things went well. There's some things that,
00:13:59 --> 00:14:01 you know, the campground can improve on in our part.
00:14:02 --> 00:14:05 So, you know, we look forward to improving. But, I mean, all in all,
00:14:05 --> 00:14:06 I thought it was a great event.
00:14:07 --> 00:14:10 I'm definitely looking forward to next year. I feel like this is one of those
00:14:10 --> 00:14:15 events that can really become something, like, super big.
00:14:15 --> 00:14:17 You know, kind of like how... Like, we're traveling.
00:14:18 --> 00:14:22 Like, you know... Like, Firefly for white people. but this be,
00:14:22 --> 00:14:24 you know, music fest for black people.
00:14:24 --> 00:14:28 So, you know, I also think me and Yolanda probably need to plan like,
00:14:29 --> 00:14:32 okay, let's say next year we have double the amount of people.
00:14:33 --> 00:14:37 Okay. Like where else can people park? You know, how, how, how can we get more
00:14:37 --> 00:14:40 places to stay? You know, just some prior planning.
00:14:40 --> 00:14:44 Cause and Tim, I don't know if you agree, but I feel like this is something
00:14:44 --> 00:14:49 that can really, really grow probably more than what Sam even envisioned when
00:14:49 --> 00:14:50 he first did it last year?
00:14:51 --> 00:14:54 It can. It has the possibility of being,
00:14:55 --> 00:15:01 like the event of the summer. It really does. It has that feel to it already.
00:15:02 --> 00:15:04 And mind you, next year will be his third one.
00:15:05 --> 00:15:08 And next year, he's already stated, and I'm just going to let this count back,
00:15:08 --> 00:15:12 he's going to make it now a full weekend event, not just one day.
00:15:12 --> 00:15:13 It's going to be a weekend.
00:15:14 --> 00:15:18 So he's looking at Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
00:15:20 --> 00:15:22 And we briefly talked about it, and I told him,
00:15:22 --> 00:15:25 I said, you know yeah sam you got something
00:15:25 --> 00:15:28 here you definitely got something here and it's
00:15:28 --> 00:15:32 for the campground you know it's something that
00:15:32 --> 00:15:35 you could bring the kids to because we
00:15:35 --> 00:15:38 had a few children out there that came yeah you know
00:15:38 --> 00:15:41 and tony and tony calloway our host the young
00:15:41 --> 00:15:44 lady was said that was her second year coming and she
00:15:44 --> 00:15:47 had her little boots her little cowboy boots on and
00:15:47 --> 00:15:50 a little cowboy hat on oh yeah and she's out there
00:15:50 --> 00:15:52 doing electric slide with everybody she this little girl was like eight
00:15:52 --> 00:15:55 years old you know and i was like
00:15:55 --> 00:15:58 you know what yeah yeah definitely you can
00:15:58 --> 00:16:01 make this family friendly you know because of course with
00:16:01 --> 00:16:04 the campground having the pool and all the amenities
00:16:04 --> 00:16:07 on the other side you know the kids
00:16:07 --> 00:16:09 over there playing parents over here listen to music we all
00:16:09 --> 00:16:13 know where they are they ain't going nowhere yeah sam definitely
00:16:13 --> 00:16:16 got something on here you know i i envision it
00:16:16 --> 00:16:19 being the summer event of
00:16:19 --> 00:16:24 the year yeah and i'll just just piggyback on what you said there was nothing
00:16:24 --> 00:16:29 there that was like inappropriate for kids you know like and i mean maybe the
00:16:29 --> 00:16:32 after party because the that the liquor but other than that like everything
00:16:32 --> 00:16:36 kids could have been there and experienced the same thing that adults experienced,
00:16:37 --> 00:16:41 yeah the two little girls that were there that i actually came across the one little girl.
00:16:42 --> 00:16:45 Her parents had her tent set, you know, pretty close to me.
00:16:46 --> 00:16:50 She was over there dancing, enjoying the music. She was having a,
00:16:50 --> 00:16:52 mind you, there was no other kids I had to play with.
00:16:53 --> 00:16:57 So she was there, like, literally by herself, but she was enjoying herself.
00:16:57 --> 00:16:59 I was sitting there watching her. She was on the dance with her.
00:16:59 --> 00:17:03 I guess it was her grandfather, whatever the case may be, but she had a great time.
00:17:03 --> 00:17:06 And I'm sitting there saying, I'm looking around like, yeah,
00:17:06 --> 00:17:12 yeah, yeah. Now, Dave, you had a front row seat for folks that was coming in.
00:17:12 --> 00:17:13 What type of vibe did you see?
00:17:14 --> 00:17:20 That was just great. I was just great to talk about that. So from my vantage point, I saw a lot.
00:17:21 --> 00:17:25 Now, I also, it's funny because you talked about family reunion type thing.
00:17:25 --> 00:17:28 There were a couple of families there celebrating their reunion.
00:17:28 --> 00:17:31 I don't know if you guys know this, they had the t-shirts on.
00:17:31 --> 00:17:34 There were a couple families and they
00:17:34 --> 00:17:37 had their names something family like one had
00:17:37 --> 00:17:40 red on and one had like orange on or yellow
00:17:40 --> 00:17:44 or something like that but they had different names and they had a neighbor
00:17:44 --> 00:17:50 and one of the guys told me yeah they were they were doing their family um reunion
00:17:50 --> 00:17:57 weekend and that was part of they incorporated that into their weekend so we
00:17:57 --> 00:17:58 said it said something with it, shot him the most.
00:17:59 --> 00:18:02 Yeah, but they were walking around, they had the shirts on, they had that's
00:18:02 --> 00:18:05 how come I noticed it, and I said something to one of the guys,
00:18:05 --> 00:18:09 because he stopped at the table because they saw the.
00:18:10 --> 00:18:15 Libations on the table, and they, and I said, oh are you celebrating the family reunion?
00:18:15 --> 00:18:20 He said, yeah he said, we actually met another family that's doing the same thing, he said, we have a,
00:18:20 --> 00:18:23 it's a weekend thing and we saw
00:18:23 --> 00:18:26 that this was going on, so we incorporated this into the whole weekend,
00:18:26 --> 00:18:32 so that's what they were there for it so one other thing i noticed there were
00:18:32 --> 00:18:36 a lot of people who stopped by the table to talk,
00:18:37 --> 00:18:40 it kind of became a uh suggesting
00:18:40 --> 00:18:45 information dance i mean it was a little bit of everything going on over there
00:18:45 --> 00:18:50 i ain't gonna lie it was but but but it was interesting meeting different people
00:18:50 --> 00:18:59 But a lot of people had given me history on the campgrounds and a lot of them had been,
00:19:00 --> 00:19:03 and these people who were giving me the history all used to go there at one
00:19:03 --> 00:19:05 point or another years ago.
00:19:05 --> 00:19:09 And they were just coming back for the first time, you know.
00:19:10 --> 00:19:14 You know, and I must have had about six or seven people told me there was one
00:19:14 --> 00:19:19 young lady who was walking around and she's I've seen her in some of the pictures
00:19:19 --> 00:19:20 that have been posted to.
00:19:20 --> 00:19:24 She told me she used to dance there when she was eight years old.
00:19:25 --> 00:19:28 Yeah, it was a dance troupe that she belonged to.
00:19:28 --> 00:19:33 And they used to come there and dance and entertain, you know, the servicemen.
00:19:33 --> 00:19:39 Because, you know, the history of the place was, you know, that was the campground,
00:19:39 --> 00:19:45 well, the lounge there, the hall was the place for all the servicemen from Dover
00:19:45 --> 00:19:51 Air Force Base to go and chill off the base and just hang out and drink and
00:19:51 --> 00:19:54 the entertainers that came through there and everything,
00:19:54 --> 00:19:59 but that was their private spot off the base to go to and just hang out.
00:20:00 --> 00:20:03 And one guy whose father was
00:20:03 --> 00:20:06 very who used to be like i think
00:20:06 --> 00:20:09 he told me sergeant or arms there or whatever the case
00:20:09 --> 00:20:14 may be you know he said man my father brought me by here when i was a kid and
00:20:14 --> 00:20:17 he said i used to have so much fun running around this place he said this is
00:20:17 --> 00:20:22 the first time i literally have stepped foot on this place in 40 years wow wow
00:20:22 --> 00:20:26 yeah so but he said he said but he remembered his father,
00:20:26 --> 00:20:29 this warrior's father hung out at, that was his spot, you know,
00:20:29 --> 00:20:33 so it was just interesting sitting there and hearing people talking about it
00:20:33 --> 00:20:38 and, and so forth and talking about everything, you know,
00:20:38 --> 00:20:42 their knowledge of the place and, and then just watching, you know,
00:20:42 --> 00:20:45 cause where I was sitting in and you guys are correct.
00:20:45 --> 00:20:48 I had a great vantage point of everything that was going on.
00:20:49 --> 00:20:53 I had posted some videos online and everybody kept, this is what's So interesting.
00:20:54 --> 00:20:59 How can you post as much as, you know, things all the time and nobody see it?
00:20:59 --> 00:21:02 Everybody saw the videos and they were like, where are you, man?
00:21:02 --> 00:21:04 That looks like a great time. Where are you?
00:21:04 --> 00:21:06 You know, you know what I'm saying? You know, the Black Music Festival.
00:21:06 --> 00:21:08 I've been posting about it.
00:21:08 --> 00:21:11 You know, we've been talking about it, you know, because, but they said,
00:21:11 --> 00:21:14 oh, we're definitely going to be there again next year.
00:21:14 --> 00:21:18 But, and just think, if it hadn't rained. Ooh.
00:21:20 --> 00:21:24 Yeah. Yeah. Now, we had a thousand people there.
00:21:24 --> 00:21:28 There was a thousand people. Okay. But I know people that bought tickets.
00:21:28 --> 00:21:31 I know people bought tickets didn't come because of the rain.
00:21:31 --> 00:21:33 Yeah. He said the head count was like 1.
00:21:34 --> 00:21:43 There you go. So if you take away that hour and 15 minutes of rain that we had, put you like this.
00:21:43 --> 00:21:47 If we had the weekend that we had at the inaugural one, which was last year,
00:21:48 --> 00:21:50 it would have been. Yeah.
00:21:51 --> 00:21:56 But it turned out the people that were there, they were there. You know what I mean?
00:21:56 --> 00:22:00 It was a great weekend. Great job by you guys.
00:22:00 --> 00:22:02 We also, shout out to,
00:22:03 --> 00:22:08 What is it? Steve, Steve Taylor and Paul. Oh yeah. Steve Taylor and full tilt.
00:22:08 --> 00:22:13 Full tilt security and the fellas. And all the vendors that were there,
00:22:13 --> 00:22:17 you know, that came out as well. It was a great day.
00:22:17 --> 00:22:21 It was a great day. Looking forward to the next one. But we just,
00:22:21 --> 00:22:24 we, you know, and hats off to Sam Bailey and his crew.
00:22:24 --> 00:22:28 And we just wanted to make sure that we did the recap, you know,
00:22:28 --> 00:22:33 and let you guys know if you were there, I know you had a good time.
00:22:33 --> 00:22:37 And you enjoyed yourself, if you were not there, you know what to do.
00:22:37 --> 00:22:39 Make sure you're there next year.
00:22:39 --> 00:22:45 Like he said, after the pre-New Year's Eve party, he said the first week of
00:22:45 --> 00:22:51 January, he will announce the date and he said he should have his featured artist that day.
00:22:51 --> 00:22:57 Wait, Tim, so he already announced the date. He did. He said the first weekend of June.
00:22:58 --> 00:23:01 That's June 5th, June 6th or 7th. Yep. Okay.
00:23:04 --> 00:23:09 All right. Well, there you have it, folks. So moving on to our next story.
00:23:10 --> 00:23:13 We're going to let our man Tim talk about the story. Go ahead, sir.
00:23:13 --> 00:23:16 Well, the next story that we're going to talk about, ladies and gentlemen,
00:23:17 --> 00:23:21 is the number two tennis player in the world, Ms. Coco Graff.
00:23:22 --> 00:23:25 She won the French Open on Saturday while we were actually performing.
00:23:28 --> 00:23:31 And hats off to that beautiful young lady for winning that tournament.
00:23:32 --> 00:23:38 But there was some controversy behind her winning.
00:23:39 --> 00:23:45 Now, she beat the defending world number one, Ariana Sablanca,
00:23:45 --> 00:23:49 I hope I pronounced that correctly, in the finals on Saturday, June 7th.
00:23:49 --> 00:23:54 And it was the first time that an American had won the French Open in a decade.
00:23:55 --> 00:24:01 Of course, if I'm not mistaken, the last female to do it was Serena. Serena Williams.
00:24:03 --> 00:24:06 Right so now after coco won
00:24:06 --> 00:24:09 the event and she actually came back because she was
00:24:09 --> 00:24:16 down two sets and she came back and won her opponent made a comment that had
00:24:16 --> 00:24:24 the internet going crazy and the comment went something like this quote i think
00:24:24 --> 00:24:27 she won the match not because she played incredible,
00:24:27 --> 00:24:31 just because I made all of those mistakes, if you look at it from the outside,
00:24:32 --> 00:24:33 from the kind of easy balls.
00:24:35 --> 00:24:41 So, but then, of course, the young lady came back, and she kind of sort of cleaned it up.
00:24:42 --> 00:24:47 She said that Coco played with, quote, poise and purpose.
00:24:48 --> 00:24:52 And, you know, so, of course, that let everybody was like, wow,
00:24:53 --> 00:24:54 you know, Coco downplayed it.
00:24:55 --> 00:24:58 She was on Good Morning America, and she downplayed it.
00:24:58 --> 00:25:03 She said, quote, that she was a little bit surprised about the comments and
00:25:03 --> 00:25:05 everything. I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt.
00:25:06 --> 00:25:08 I'm sure it was an emotional day. It was an emotional match.
00:25:09 --> 00:25:13 I know she was probably a bit emotional after that match, and it was a tough loss.
00:25:13 --> 00:25:17 Oka went on to say that Sablanca is a fighter, a tough opponent.
00:25:18 --> 00:25:23 And she said, you know, she handled the conditions much better.
00:25:23 --> 00:25:26 So I'm going to leave it there.
00:25:27 --> 00:25:31 Gentlemen. Yeah. And it's funny, Tim, because I think I heard that on Sunday
00:25:31 --> 00:25:36 and I'm going to be a little bit of a devil's advocate.
00:25:36 --> 00:25:39 I understand what she was saying. You know, I think anybody in athletics,
00:25:40 --> 00:25:43 you know, you know, sometimes you can give away a game.
00:25:43 --> 00:25:48 But for her to say it publicly like that immediately after the loss,
00:25:48 --> 00:25:51 it just looked classless, I will say.
00:25:51 --> 00:25:55 But I understand what she was saying because, you know, I mean,
00:25:56 --> 00:26:00 you know, sometimes and I mean, we probably all said it like they didn't win.
00:26:00 --> 00:26:02 I lost, you know, but. Yeah.
00:26:02 --> 00:26:07 Yeah. So when I read the comments and I heard about it because I heard about
00:26:07 --> 00:26:10 it like Monday morning is what I heard.
00:26:10 --> 00:26:12 I was like, oh, where did that come from?
00:26:13 --> 00:26:17 But if you've ever been in sports, you know, and played in sports,
00:26:17 --> 00:26:21 you know, like she said, emotions can get involved.
00:26:22 --> 00:26:25 And you will probably say something that you will regret later on.
00:26:26 --> 00:26:29 Of course, none of us saw the match because, of course, this took place Saturday
00:26:29 --> 00:26:31 afternoon while we were at the campground.
00:26:31 --> 00:26:37 And it was ironic because Mr. Calloway, our host, he mentioned it and he called her Steffi Graff.
00:26:37 --> 00:26:40 And I had to make the chance. I was like, when he said it, he's like,
00:26:40 --> 00:26:43 yeah, Steffi Graff just won the French Open. We all was like, who?
00:26:45 --> 00:26:49 So I'm like, no, Tone, you being Coco. Coe. Yeah. That's the ladies and gentlemen.
00:26:49 --> 00:26:51 He meant to say Coco Graff just won the French Open.
00:26:52 --> 00:26:55 Yeah. Man, that place- Hey, I was going to say, you talking about Steffi Graff,
00:26:55 --> 00:26:57 that go back to the 80s. That's the 80s, you know?
00:26:58 --> 00:27:02 Yeah, when she played tennis. And that place erupted when I said that.
00:27:02 --> 00:27:05 I mean, everybody started cheering her and everything.
00:27:06 --> 00:27:13 I just feel as though the young lady that she beat could have taken her defeat
00:27:13 --> 00:27:17 a little bit more, with a little bit more class. Right. I agree with that.
00:27:19 --> 00:27:25 Well, sir, what do you think, boss? Well, let me say this. I did see the match, by the way.
00:27:26 --> 00:27:32 I watched it. And keep in mind, that match was on, like, early in the morning,
00:27:32 --> 00:27:33 like 2 a.m. in the morning.
00:27:34 --> 00:27:41 So it was not, you know. So when people, you know, when they actually announced
00:27:41 --> 00:27:43 that it had already been played.
00:27:44 --> 00:27:50 So, you know. Okay. Yeah, so, but, but I, and then I actually went back and
00:27:50 --> 00:27:54 watched it again because I like tennis and especially when we're playing,
00:27:54 --> 00:27:57 you know, always try to support, you know, Tiafoe,
00:27:57 --> 00:28:01 you know, I watched his match when he got beat, but, you know, but the, you.
00:28:02 --> 00:28:05 Coco played well. She did what she had to do.
00:28:05 --> 00:28:09 What's interesting is, you know, when you're of a different culture,
00:28:10 --> 00:28:15 like a lot of the tennis players are these days, they have certain mannerisms,
00:28:15 --> 00:28:20 certain things they do on the court that depending on who they are is acceptable
00:28:20 --> 00:28:26 in a lot of their eyes because of who they are and their culture and the ways
00:28:26 --> 00:28:28 that their personalities may be.
00:28:28 --> 00:28:31 And Sablinka is one of those people who
00:28:31 --> 00:28:34 who's like that because she was giving
00:28:34 --> 00:28:37 she was fussing she was fussing with
00:28:37 --> 00:28:40 her coaches on the court she was arguing with
00:28:40 --> 00:28:43 them telling them you know that they
00:28:43 --> 00:28:46 didn't know what they were talking about all this was going on during
00:28:46 --> 00:28:49 the match you know so she's just that type
00:28:49 --> 00:28:53 of individual that's probably a perfectionist and
00:28:53 --> 00:28:56 I've watched her play other matches before she's very
00:28:56 --> 00:29:00 good don't get me wrong that girl can play but she
00:29:00 --> 00:29:02 just was not having she was not having a good day that
00:29:02 --> 00:29:05 day and coco took advantage of the mistakes that
00:29:05 --> 00:29:12 that girl made and coco beat her so when it came down to the the press conference
00:29:12 --> 00:29:18 and everything you know and she said what she said you know coco you know and
00:29:18 --> 00:29:23 she coco said that they've had you know a decent relationship over the years.
00:29:24 --> 00:29:27 But Coco was really surprised because he was like,
00:29:27 --> 00:29:31 Hey, you know, you know, I'm a little shocked, you know, about it.
00:29:31 --> 00:29:37 But, you know, but if that's what she said, but, you know, it is what it is. I mean, I got the trophy.
00:29:38 --> 00:29:42 So, you know, I got the win, you know, so.
00:29:43 --> 00:29:48 But, you know, Coco's had to learn humility herself with with a lot of stuff
00:29:48 --> 00:29:49 that she's been through.
00:29:49 --> 00:29:54 And I'm what you were watching her grow into a great tennis player.
00:29:54 --> 00:30:01 And you could tell that she has that same drive and everything that the Williams sisters had.
00:30:02 --> 00:30:06 And, you know, Venus and Serena, she kind of reminds me, she has that angular
00:30:06 --> 00:30:11 shape like Venus, you know, but she plays like Serena.
00:30:11 --> 00:30:15 I mean, you know, she has, you know, she plays hard, you know.
00:30:15 --> 00:30:18 She does. She plays hard. I just think that, you know, Coco,
00:30:19 --> 00:30:24 you know, and, and of course, we're always going to have one thing that's always
00:30:24 --> 00:30:29 going to be a common denominator in all of this. She's black.
00:30:30 --> 00:30:36 And, you know, you're still playing in the white sport. Mostly white people
00:30:36 --> 00:30:40 are, I mean, even though they might be from different areas in the world,
00:30:40 --> 00:30:43 they don't look like her, you know.
00:30:43 --> 00:30:47 So, you know, and right now she's the number one black female player in the
00:30:47 --> 00:30:51 country and soon to be the number one player in the country.
00:30:51 --> 00:30:54 Yeah, because if she wins. I mean, the world. I meant the world.
00:30:54 --> 00:30:58 I meant the world. Yeah, because right now she's favored.
00:30:58 --> 00:31:01 She's favored to win Wimbledon, which is coming starts next week.
00:31:02 --> 00:31:07 Yeah. Yeah. She'll have three of the titles. And if she wins,
00:31:07 --> 00:31:09 if she wins Wimbledon and.
00:31:10 --> 00:31:16 The Australian Open? No, she missed the Australian Open. She lost that final.
00:31:16 --> 00:31:17 Because she goes to Australia.
00:31:19 --> 00:31:26 In the future. In the future, yeah. Yeah, she'll win. She'll have all four of the major titles.
00:31:26 --> 00:31:30 And that's, you know, so that's a big accomplishment. Because Serena,
00:31:30 --> 00:31:32 I think, is the only black woman to ever do that.
00:31:33 --> 00:31:36 Yeah, Serena did hers the same year Tiger did his. Yeah, yeah.
00:31:37 --> 00:31:41 So, but, you know, Coco, So just keep doing what you're doing.
00:31:41 --> 00:31:46 Don't let, don't sweat anybody. Just keep, just keep winning matches and all of that stuff.
00:31:47 --> 00:31:52 And don't, you know, you know, let them, let them say all they want as they
00:31:52 --> 00:31:54 watch you. Hoist that trophy. Okay. Amen.
00:31:55 --> 00:31:59 Yeah. So that's what we'll do. All right.
00:31:59 --> 00:32:04 Moving on to our next story. Len, what you got? Yeah. So the next story I had
00:32:04 --> 00:32:08 was talking about men's mental health awareness months.
00:32:08 --> 00:32:12 And, you know, it's funny because I've been on Instagram and I've been seeing
00:32:12 --> 00:32:17 a lot of really, really, really good reels or, you know, videos,
00:32:17 --> 00:32:22 you know, talking about men's men's mental health awareness month.
00:32:22 --> 00:32:26 And I feel like I've seen more this year than I've seen any other year.
00:32:26 --> 00:32:29 And I mean, they've actually been quality, you know, not only just talking about
00:32:29 --> 00:32:34 Father's Day coming up and, you know, how hard it is being a father,
00:32:34 --> 00:32:36 but just how hard it is being a man.
00:32:36 --> 00:32:42 A lot of them spoke about If you need someone to talk to Come talk to me You
00:32:42 --> 00:32:46 don't have to say it's fine This one video I saw.
00:32:47 --> 00:32:53 It was a compilation of about 20 videos and they had men who were smiling,
00:32:53 --> 00:32:55 hanging with their family and friends.
00:32:55 --> 00:33:01 And apparently they had committed suicide within days, two weeks after those videos were taken.
00:33:02 --> 00:33:04 So, you know, just kind of showed you that, you know, there are a lot of men
00:33:04 --> 00:33:10 out here covering up their mental health and, you know, they really got stuff
00:33:10 --> 00:33:12 going on. So, you know, I know we're all men.
00:33:13 --> 00:33:15 So, you know, it's probably something we can talk about. And I want to throw
00:33:15 --> 00:33:19 something out there real quick. I posted on social media like a year ago and
00:33:19 --> 00:33:22 I thought it was real odd. And I think I told Dave about it.
00:33:22 --> 00:33:28 But there was a question I saw online. It said, men, when you have issues or
00:33:28 --> 00:33:30 problems, who can like who do you talk to?
00:33:31 --> 00:33:36 And 90 percent of the men in the comments said they did not have anyone to talk
00:33:36 --> 00:33:38 to when they go through serious problems.
00:33:38 --> 00:33:41 And, you know, that right there is a problem in itself.
00:33:42 --> 00:33:48 But, Tim, what do you think? Have you seen any of the videos this month for
00:33:48 --> 00:33:50 men and mental health awareness?
00:33:50 --> 00:33:54 Well, yeah, it's funny because, you know, being a caseworker,
00:33:54 --> 00:33:57 a case manager in the state of Delaware, that's my daytime job, ladies and gentlemen.
00:33:58 --> 00:34:03 I see a lot of it. We just had mental health awareness month for the month of
00:34:03 --> 00:34:06 May, which, of course, transitioned into June for men's mental health.
00:34:07 --> 00:34:12 I myself am still grieving for the loss of my daughter.
00:34:13 --> 00:34:17 And it is hard. I'm not going to say it's not. It's hard.
00:34:17 --> 00:34:21 As a man, you don't want to be like, I'm okay. I'm okay. Okay. I'm not okay.
00:34:21 --> 00:34:26 You know, I've become comfortable with saying I'm not okay.
00:34:26 --> 00:34:30 I have good days. I have bad days. And I,
00:34:31 --> 00:34:40 I have a small group of men that I can actually reach out to when I'm not having a good day.
00:34:40 --> 00:34:45 Dave happens to be one of them. You know, Dave kind of sort of knows.
00:34:45 --> 00:34:52 Oh, yeah. Tim, I'm sorry. I meant to mute my microphone.
00:34:52 --> 00:34:56 Okay, Tim, you may have to unmute your microphone. I apologize.
00:34:57 --> 00:35:02 Okay, I'm sorry. I meant to move from you to mind why I had to call.
00:35:02 --> 00:35:07 My name's Tim and wanted to say, stop talking about Dave. There you go. There you go.
00:35:09 --> 00:35:15 But as I was saying, Dave kind of sort of can feel through some of my posts
00:35:15 --> 00:35:17 if I'm having a tough day.
00:35:18 --> 00:35:21 He will hit me up and ask if I'm okay. And I'm probably like,
00:35:22 --> 00:35:23 no, he's going through it.
00:35:24 --> 00:35:28 Charlie's good for that. Charlie will definitely call me and keep me laughing.
00:35:28 --> 00:35:32 Charlie, Charlie Gwines, my man C Gwines he will definitely hit me up and we'll
00:35:32 --> 00:35:38 find something to talk about you know, we'll talk about maybe politics or sports or something you know,
00:35:38 --> 00:35:43 just to get my mind off of things my man DJ Ice, Anthony, same thing he'll call
00:35:43 --> 00:35:47 me, we'll be laughing about something or talk about the kids or you know,
00:35:47 --> 00:35:49 the grands or whatever just keep my mind off of it, but,
00:35:50 --> 00:35:52 there are a lot of men out there who,
00:35:54 --> 00:35:59 will put that, the cape on, the tough skin I'm okay, I'm okay.
00:35:59 --> 00:36:02 And I see guys all the time, I'll be like, oh, you're not okay,
00:36:02 --> 00:36:05 man. It's okay to say you're not okay.
00:36:05 --> 00:36:09 Right. It is. There's nothing wrong with it. No one's going to look at you differently.
00:36:10 --> 00:36:11 Because you're not okay.
00:36:12 --> 00:36:17 I'd rather for you to tell me, no, I'm not okay, then yeah, I'm fine.
00:36:18 --> 00:36:21 Because if have you ever noticed, have you ever noticed, if you someone says,
00:36:21 --> 00:36:25 if you say to somebody, I'm not okay, they don't know what to say to you next.
00:36:26 --> 00:36:31 Yeah, no, they don't. And it's just because a lot of times... Go ahead, Dave.
00:36:31 --> 00:36:34 That's because they don't want to know sometimes, you know. Yeah.
00:36:35 --> 00:36:38 They rather you say that you're okay because they're not prepared to hear.
00:36:38 --> 00:36:43 They're not prepared or sometimes, nor do they want to hear that you're having a problem. Right.
00:36:44 --> 00:36:50 Or I find them just not being prepared because, you know, because it's happened to me.
00:36:50 --> 00:36:54 Somebody's like, you're okay? They'd be like, no. And I'm like, okay, what do I say next?
00:36:54 --> 00:36:57 Right. You know, like, what's the next words come out of my mouth? I don't know.
00:36:58 --> 00:37:06 So, you know, I get it, but I tell any man now, hey, look, find an outlet.
00:37:06 --> 00:37:13 You know, for me, playing music is an outlet. That's how I've been coping.
00:37:13 --> 00:37:19 Just making people smile and laugh, showing people a good time through me just
00:37:19 --> 00:37:21 playing music, that's therapy for me.
00:37:21 --> 00:37:26 You know, it makes me feel good. I'm like, okay, for a couple hours,
00:37:26 --> 00:37:27 I can put some smiles on some people's faces.
00:37:28 --> 00:37:32 I can be having a bad day. If I got a gig that night, I got my daughter with
00:37:32 --> 00:37:36 me. I got a picture. She stays with me. Every gig I go, she's right on my computer.
00:37:37 --> 00:37:39 And I'll talk to Leigh. I'm like, all right, Leigh, here we go.
00:37:39 --> 00:37:41 Got to make these folks dance, baby.
00:37:43 --> 00:37:47 And I'll zone out. And it'll just be just me and my daughter.
00:37:47 --> 00:37:49 And I'll look up. And when I come
00:37:49 --> 00:37:52 back, I'll look up. And I got 200 or 300 people just having a good time.
00:37:52 --> 00:37:56 So that that that's how i've been coping but
00:37:56 --> 00:37:59 men or all the fellas if you're listening to the
00:37:59 --> 00:38:04 show right now the advice i could give you for this month would be find an outlet
00:38:04 --> 00:38:07 and it doesn't have to be physical i know most guys think okay let me go to
00:38:07 --> 00:38:13 the gym and work out or you know do this find another outlet you know i saw
00:38:13 --> 00:38:18 a man at the campground uh saturday he was crocheting,
00:38:19 --> 00:38:25 crocheting you know and i walked past him i said is he was crocheting his wife was doing embroidery,
00:38:26 --> 00:38:30 and i asked him i said sir how's that working out for you he goes man he said
00:38:30 --> 00:38:37 between the good music and this so you know so man find an outlet don't you
00:38:37 --> 00:38:42 you don't have to suffer in silence because that's the narrative for us anyway
00:38:42 --> 00:38:45 especially black men especially us black,
00:38:45 --> 00:38:51 And I had to learn that the hard way, you know, but, but now I'm starting to, you know,
00:38:52 --> 00:38:54 to feel more comfortable saying, hey, I'm not okay.
00:38:55 --> 00:39:00 And I know I got people that I can talk to. You know, I can pick up the phone. I can call Dave.
00:39:00 --> 00:39:03 I can call Charlie. I can call Ann. I can call my bishop, you know,
00:39:03 --> 00:39:04 which I've done. I've called my bishop.
00:39:05 --> 00:39:09 Me and my bishop have talked, you know, and, you know, we prayed and everything.
00:39:09 --> 00:39:11 So, fellas, find out that you're going to be okay.
00:39:13 --> 00:39:21 I'm going to say this. I was that guy for a good period of my life as the person
00:39:21 --> 00:39:24 who never really said what was going on.
00:39:25 --> 00:39:33 There was a reason for it. And that's because I was always the person that everybody came to.
00:39:34 --> 00:39:40 And I was the person that everybody needed to hear from or help them,
00:39:41 --> 00:39:44 so to speak. would get through what they were going through.
00:39:45 --> 00:39:51 And it was early on that I realized that that was what I always felt that's
00:39:51 --> 00:39:54 what I was put here for, was to be that person.
00:39:56 --> 00:40:02 Because the few times that I was going through some things, and even though
00:40:02 --> 00:40:09 I know a plethora of people, I could never find anybody I can talk to who would listen.
00:40:10 --> 00:40:13 So i internalized it for a long
00:40:13 --> 00:40:16 time i i get
00:40:16 --> 00:40:19 the whole thing about the the mental health and
00:40:19 --> 00:40:22 the mental health and how men and a
00:40:22 --> 00:40:26 lot of men probably feel that way you know that they can't they
00:40:26 --> 00:40:29 don't have people that they can talk to or feel comfortable
00:40:29 --> 00:40:32 in talking to because after all we have
00:40:32 --> 00:40:34 a certain uh you know well i mean
00:40:34 --> 00:40:38 we can look at the three of us we have certain images
00:40:38 --> 00:40:44 that we we tried to uphold and we tried to make sure people see us in the same
00:40:44 --> 00:40:49 light all the time you know every now and then you know if you do step out of
00:40:49 --> 00:40:53 a character a little bit you don't want it to be too bad that people are talking
00:40:53 --> 00:40:56 it ends up on d tv or something like that but anyway.
00:40:58 --> 00:41:05 Or even worse world star right something like that but you know but we always
00:41:05 --> 00:41:10 have to be mindful in reference to the things that we say, what we do,
00:41:10 --> 00:41:12 and how we carry ourselves.
00:41:13 --> 00:41:18 And I, you know, so that was something that always stayed on my mind all these
00:41:18 --> 00:41:19 years in dealing with that.
00:41:20 --> 00:41:32 I had to learn how to allow myself to allow myself to be able to be able to
00:41:32 --> 00:41:38 and allow myself to be able to talk to other people.
00:41:39 --> 00:41:45 And once I was able to do that, I realized, okay, you know, I can be normal.
00:41:45 --> 00:41:49 I can let my guard down and let people see me vulnerable.
00:41:50 --> 00:41:57 And that's the hardest part for a man is to allow somebody to see them stripped
00:41:57 --> 00:42:02 down and see them for who they really are.
00:42:02 --> 00:42:08 Now, you know, we have circles that we feel are trusted circles.
00:42:09 --> 00:42:16 All of us whether you call it a circle or whether you don't we all have that somebody or somebody,
00:42:17 --> 00:42:22 that you feel that you can talk to when you need to talk to them you know i
00:42:22 --> 00:42:27 mean you know you two guys are two of the guys i've talked to the most in life
00:42:27 --> 00:42:31 you know you know i love you also.
00:42:32 --> 00:42:36 Tim, you are the one person that I talk to the most in life.
00:42:37 --> 00:42:40 You know, that other person. Damn, AJ Tim.
00:42:42 --> 00:42:45 It got real small on a sudden, you know.
00:42:48 --> 00:42:54 So, but I know that if I call you guys, I know what's going to happen, you know.
00:42:54 --> 00:42:58 And you guys know if you call me, you know what's going to happen.
00:42:58 --> 00:43:04 I mean, you, you know, you get a hold of me and I will do everything I can to make sure you're OK.
00:43:05 --> 00:43:08 Yeah. And Dave, you know, you know, if you call me more than likely,
00:43:08 --> 00:43:11 I'll go to voicemail. But I'm going to get back to you.
00:43:11 --> 00:43:14 Well, two days later, I'll hear from Leonard and everything will be good.
00:43:14 --> 00:43:16 You know, I mean, you know. Oh, yeah, I know.
00:43:17 --> 00:43:19 I'll text Leonard and be like, OK, I know it's going to be a couple of days,
00:43:19 --> 00:43:22 but this coming. No worries.
00:43:23 --> 00:43:26 Look, I mean, look, I mean, I mean, I'm getting on to be like,
00:43:26 --> 00:43:30 oh, you can't pick up the phone now. You just texted me a few minutes ago.
00:43:30 --> 00:43:35 Why can't you pick up the phone? I'll be like, you know, blowing his phone up.
00:43:35 --> 00:43:40 But anyway, but men, if you listen to us, if you listen to us talk, it's okay.
00:43:41 --> 00:43:46 If you're having a bad time, if you don't have that person to talk to or whatever,
00:43:46 --> 00:43:49 there are things out there for you to reach out to.
00:43:49 --> 00:43:53 There's systems out there. There's groups out there.
00:43:53 --> 00:43:58 There's people that you can talk to. If you feel that you need to talk to somebody, talk to somebody.
00:43:59 --> 00:44:03 Because the worst thing you can do is do what I did years ago and just kept it inside.
00:44:04 --> 00:44:08 Because I was ready to explode at one point. And that's not good.
00:44:09 --> 00:44:16 So, you know, so just take your, you know, take your pride and put it aside.
00:44:17 --> 00:44:21 And, you know, if you need to talk to somebody, find somebody to talk to.
00:44:21 --> 00:44:26 You know, you always call Leonard. I'll give you his number on the air in a few minutes.
00:44:26 --> 00:44:28 Okay. And that'll be fine. Okay.
00:44:29 --> 00:44:30 All right. So.
00:44:32 --> 00:44:35 All right. Moving on to our next story. okay
00:44:35 --> 00:44:40 since we are in the age of let's see
00:44:40 --> 00:44:43 like leonard and i always talking about ai stuff
00:44:43 --> 00:44:47 and all this kind of stuff but you know and and
00:44:47 --> 00:44:51 i love this thing and leonard does too and i'm sure a lot of the whole world
00:44:51 --> 00:44:58 does but i just thought this story was interesting that how that gpt seems to
00:44:58 --> 00:45:03 know everything and why it doesn't i'm gonna read a little bit of the story
00:45:03 --> 00:45:07 wait hold on let me read a little bit of it first before you make your comment, okay?
00:45:09 --> 00:45:14 ChatGPT may seem like it knows everything, but its intelligence stems from training,
00:45:14 --> 00:45:16 not genuine understanding.
00:45:17 --> 00:45:23 Developed by OpenAI, ChatGPT runs on a large language model,
00:45:23 --> 00:45:30 which is called an LLM, a type of AI designed to predict the next word of a sentence.
00:45:31 --> 00:45:34 Now, I always found that part was interesting because that's something that
00:45:34 --> 00:45:38 people have been trying to perfect for years in typing,
00:45:39 --> 00:45:42 in, you know, phones, all that, you know, to predict, you know,
00:45:43 --> 00:45:47 when you go to type a sentence on your phone and it gives you the word,
00:45:47 --> 00:45:51 the next word that they think you're going to use, same thing, you know.
00:45:51 --> 00:46:00 So this allows it to produce responses that sound informed, but it doesn't always
00:46:00 --> 00:46:03 comprehend meaning the way humans do.
00:46:03 --> 00:46:10 A tech radar reports its knowledge is based on an enormous data set of publicity
00:46:10 --> 00:46:15 available content, I'm sorry, publicly available content, including books,
00:46:16 --> 00:46:17 articles, Wikipedia entries,
00:46:18 --> 00:46:21 Reddit threads, and open source material.
00:46:22 --> 00:46:28 This broad exposure allows ChatGPT to mimic many writing styles and covers a
00:46:28 --> 00:46:33 wide range of topics. Some versions have real-time browsing capabilities.
00:46:34 --> 00:46:39 While others rely solely on static training data.
00:46:39 --> 00:46:43 As a result, responses can sometimes feel outdated.
00:46:44 --> 00:46:48 The full extent of its training sources isn't entirely clear,
00:46:48 --> 00:46:52 and some materials have raised questions about copyright and consent.
00:46:53 --> 00:46:58 CAD-GBT operates through predictive algorithms, not actual insight.
00:46:58 --> 00:47:04 It breaks your prompt into units called tokens, that calculates the most likely
00:47:04 --> 00:47:10 next words, generating responses in real time. I'm going to stop right there.
00:47:11 --> 00:47:17 That's deep because you wonder. I remember that conversation we had,
00:47:18 --> 00:47:23 Leonard, what was it, about a year ago or when we first started talking about this CatGPJ stuff?
00:47:24 --> 00:47:29 And, you know, you were telling me about how we, you know, we were going to, Well, I don't know.
00:47:29 --> 00:47:33 We should say that, but we were going to use it to help with the program.
00:47:34 --> 00:47:39 And and and you were, you know, and remember, you know, we we checked it out
00:47:39 --> 00:47:41 and you were like, man, this is crazy.
00:47:41 --> 00:47:45 You see, you see what this says? I was like, wow.
00:47:45 --> 00:47:51 You know, and it's amazing how, you know, it does do exactly what I just read.
00:47:51 --> 00:47:56 I mean, and it gives you the information and so forth, but it's also causing
00:47:56 --> 00:48:01 problems for people because now people that are in school,
00:48:01 --> 00:48:07 you know, they're using chat GBT, but they're being penalized a lot of cases
00:48:07 --> 00:48:10 because nobody's writing their own stories anymore. Right.
00:48:11 --> 00:48:16 You know, or writing their own papers. Go ahead. If I can backtrack for Tim real quick.
00:48:16 --> 00:48:22 Tim, what Dave is talking about. So our podcast software, whatever,
00:48:22 --> 00:48:24 when we upload the audio,
00:48:25 --> 00:48:30 AI analyzes the audio and based on, you know, the hour long show,
00:48:31 --> 00:48:34 hour and a half long show, it'll write a description of the show.
00:48:34 --> 00:48:37 And the description will be like, you know, a paragraph or two,
00:48:37 --> 00:48:42 but it'll be right on point. So like, let's say we're talking about mental men's
00:48:42 --> 00:48:43 mental health awareness.
00:48:44 --> 00:48:48 Like it would give some additional stats that we didn't even like,
00:48:48 --> 00:48:52 we didn't talk about stats now, but like it would add in stuff to kind of compliment
00:48:52 --> 00:48:55 the description. And I'm like, dang, how do that?
00:48:56 --> 00:49:00 Yeah, it's almost like it's reading our minds as far as what we're trying to
00:49:00 --> 00:49:02 say and putting it in their words.
00:49:03 --> 00:49:10 You know, algorithms, you know, it's hard to understand exactly how they work
00:49:10 --> 00:49:13 and what they do, because it's just fascinating.
00:49:13 --> 00:49:18 Because, you know, for those that are listening, if you go and especially us
00:49:18 --> 00:49:23 older people who are over a certain age and still try to figure out all this stuff,
00:49:23 --> 00:49:26 you know, you know when you go in and you go
00:49:26 --> 00:49:29 looking for something and you spend a lot
00:49:29 --> 00:49:31 you spend a lot of time and a lot of time could
00:49:31 --> 00:49:36 be 10 minutes you know looking for something then
00:49:36 --> 00:49:41 the next time you go online you keep seeing the same type of stuff pop up for
00:49:41 --> 00:49:44 what you were looking for not necessarily what you were looking for but stuff
00:49:44 --> 00:49:49 similar to it and you'd be like why does i keep why does it keep loading this
00:49:49 --> 00:49:54 stuff on my on my pages and all of that stuff well that's because of the algorithms.
00:49:55 --> 00:50:01 It's trying to read what your interests are and take you there.
00:50:01 --> 00:50:05 So, Leonard, when you go to those pages that you shouldn't be on,
00:50:06 --> 00:50:12 you gotta do something to change that algorithm so that you're not on those pages all the time.
00:50:14 --> 00:50:16 Well, you know, for me, I don't want to be honest with you.
00:50:17 --> 00:50:23 You know that he's quiet. I know he's got quiet. Let me chime in real fast before he says something.
00:50:24 --> 00:50:28 But, you know, to be honest with you gentlemen and ladies and gentlemen that's
00:50:28 --> 00:50:34 listening, I didn't know what chat GPT was.
00:50:34 --> 00:50:39 So my wife started doing her college courses and she took some classes.
00:50:41 --> 00:50:44 Don't tell on her. Don't tell on her now. No, it's okay.
00:50:44 --> 00:50:47 No, no, no. It's okay because I was like, she was sitting there and she kept
00:50:47 --> 00:50:51 saying chat TPT and then she would say something to it. And I'm like,
00:50:51 --> 00:50:54 who the hell is she talking to? I'm like, what is she talking to?
00:50:55 --> 00:50:58 And then I'm like, what is ChatTPT? And she's like, oh, my God,
00:50:58 --> 00:51:01 I absolutely love this thing. And I'm like, when the hell is ChatTPT?
00:51:01 --> 00:51:07 You know, then I saw Charles Barkley, the commercial, when he got his commercial
00:51:07 --> 00:51:10 talking about ChatTPT, about his stats and everything.
00:51:10 --> 00:51:15 And I'm like, well, is it like Alexa or is it different?
00:51:15 --> 00:51:21 And, of course, now you got Microsoft with Co-Pilot that is something similar.
00:51:23 --> 00:51:25 To ChatGPT. They have it too, yeah.
00:51:26 --> 00:51:28 Yeah, you know. So that's Facebook. So that's Facebook.
00:51:28 --> 00:51:33 Yeah, and now Facebook has it with Meta. So you could ask Meta and it'll give you some things,
00:51:34 --> 00:51:41 for the part of the question where it says you know seems to know everything and why it does it,
00:51:41 --> 00:51:44 you know as i was watching ronnie use it
00:51:44 --> 00:51:51 i was like well it's off a little bit you know it's it's it it hit the target
00:51:51 --> 00:51:56 areas of the question that you're asking but then it would go in areas where
00:51:56 --> 00:52:02 i'm like well i didn't really need to know all that you know that's from what
00:52:02 --> 00:52:03 i said now me personally,
00:52:03 --> 00:52:08 have I used the chat TPT for my own? No, I haven't used it yet. I haven't used it.
00:52:09 --> 00:52:14 Hang on, I'm still leery when I use Alexa in the house. So I'm just saying.
00:52:17 --> 00:52:21 That's it. But let me tell you this, too. Leonard was the first one to use it.
00:52:22 --> 00:52:28 So Leonard said, hey, man, I use it for everything. That's what Leonard told me.
00:52:28 --> 00:52:33 And so I was like, and I was a little hesitant about it because,
00:52:33 --> 00:52:37 you know, I still like using my own words and stuff like that.
00:52:37 --> 00:52:42 But, you know, I said, so which one are you using? And he told me, and I said, okay.
00:52:42 --> 00:52:44 I went on to put it on my phone, but I didn't use it right away.
00:52:45 --> 00:52:51 And then I was having a tough time writing something at work for a meeting that I was going to have.
00:52:51 --> 00:52:53 I said, you know what, let me try this thing.
00:52:54 --> 00:52:59 So I go in and I start, you know, I put in there in my own words what I was
00:52:59 --> 00:53:00 trying to do and whatever.
00:53:01 --> 00:53:04 Man this thing loaded up something i was like
00:53:04 --> 00:53:07 wow you know like that
00:53:07 --> 00:53:10 right i said because i said i didn't say all of that but did
00:53:10 --> 00:53:13 i say all of that you know so you know and
00:53:13 --> 00:53:15 of course i i had to trim it you know to make it sound like
00:53:15 --> 00:53:21 me a little bit you know so but i've been hooked every cent i've been doing
00:53:21 --> 00:53:25 it every cent you know i've been using it for different things now not for everything
00:53:25 --> 00:53:31 because I feel like I don't want to become mindless and lazy when it comes to
00:53:31 --> 00:53:33 writing because I don't mind writing stuff.
00:53:33 --> 00:53:36 I like to write stuff, and I like
00:53:36 --> 00:53:41 to put stuff out there that came from my mind, you know, and so forth.
00:53:41 --> 00:53:47 But I do use it when I need it, and it is definitely a lifesaver,
00:53:47 --> 00:53:51 and it definitely will blow your mind, Tim, when you use it.
00:53:51 --> 00:53:57 They'll tell you because you'd be like, oh, OK, that's exactly what I was thinking,
00:53:57 --> 00:53:58 but I didn't know how to put it down.
00:53:58 --> 00:54:01 You know what I mean? So, yeah. And that's what it does.
00:54:02 --> 00:54:06 It actually, like I just said in this story and like Leonard just said,
00:54:06 --> 00:54:07 it does take your thoughts.
00:54:08 --> 00:54:12 And it does put it out there. It may not put it out there the same way you do.
00:54:15 --> 00:54:19 Well, hey, so I want to say a couple of things. These are some things I've seen
00:54:19 --> 00:54:22 in the last six months with ChatGPT.
00:54:23 --> 00:54:29 So one, Tim, I showed Dave ChatGPT. Actually, they have a counselor, right?
00:54:30 --> 00:54:33 So, you know, if you're having relationship problems, life problems,
00:54:33 --> 00:54:37 you can literally talk to ChatGPT.
00:54:37 --> 00:54:40 And it will talk back to you and tim i
00:54:40 --> 00:54:43 i will say the advice i mean the advice is
00:54:43 --> 00:54:48 the same advice you give you you read like i mean it's pretty good and it's
00:54:48 --> 00:54:53 subjective another thing i i don't i don't know tim if you know uh dominant
00:54:53 --> 00:54:58 what what's you remember doc the voiceover couple they were on the podcast yeah
00:54:58 --> 00:55:02 yeah i know dominic yeah yeah i know him so like i was looking at his page, right?
00:55:02 --> 00:55:07 And he had a picture of him by going to an event and he asked,
00:55:08 --> 00:55:16 he uploaded the picture to chat GPT and said, chat GPT roast me and don't hold back.
00:55:16 --> 00:55:21 Would you believe chat GPT had all these like insults and like,
00:55:21 --> 00:55:24 you know, digs? I mean, and I was like, you know, let me see if this works.
00:55:24 --> 00:55:28 So I, so I uploaded a picture of me and my wife and I was like,
00:55:28 --> 00:55:31 chat GPT roast us and don't hold
00:55:31 --> 00:55:34 back and chat gp was like y'all look like two
00:55:34 --> 00:55:37 light-skinned peanuts with no shell and i mean oh
00:55:37 --> 00:55:41 man yeah are you serious they tell
00:55:41 --> 00:55:46 me if you get a chance if you're on chat gpt upload a picture of yourself and
00:55:46 --> 00:55:51 tell her to roast you don't hold back and then you know so it had like four
00:55:51 --> 00:55:56 or five digs and then it said like are you crying yet you you want some more
00:55:56 --> 00:55:58 and you'd be like, yeah, like roast me some more.
00:55:58 --> 00:56:03 And then it'll go through another set of like four or five roasts. So, I mean, that's two.
00:56:03 --> 00:56:06 Also, the last time we went on vacation, because my wife was like,
00:56:06 --> 00:56:09 oh, you know, you're not creative and you got it.
00:56:09 --> 00:56:12 So, you know, I went to chat GPT. They have it.
00:56:12 --> 00:56:19 Well, I was on chat GPT and I was like, plan me a four day vacation going to
00:56:19 --> 00:56:26 this place, you know, give us four or five activities, sightseeing activities we can do every day.
00:56:26 --> 00:56:30 Like, ChatGPT printed out me an itinerary, darn near.
00:56:30 --> 00:56:35 And I literally used that to, like, when I went on the trip.
00:56:35 --> 00:56:37 My wife was like, oh, you're so thoughtful.
00:56:37 --> 00:56:40 And I mean, hopefully she don't listen to this podcast.
00:56:43 --> 00:56:48 You know, and I mean, I've also used ChatGPT for birthday card messages,
00:56:48 --> 00:56:50 for Facebook. You know what I mean? Like, it's...
00:56:51 --> 00:56:54 Dave, I'm okay going mindless. I'll put it like that.
00:56:55 --> 00:56:59 Yeah, yeah. We know. We know you are. Okay, you go.
00:57:00 --> 00:57:08 But I'll say this to you because, you know, we have people chiming in.
00:57:08 --> 00:57:12 I won't say their name because I just got a text from somebody who said,
00:57:12 --> 00:57:16 oh, you can train chat GPT to talk in your own voice.
00:57:16 --> 00:57:23 And, and yeah, and you can, you know, it helps with even stuff like counseling
00:57:23 --> 00:57:25 for marriages and all of that kind of stuff.
00:57:26 --> 00:57:31 So, I mean, chat GPT does a lot, you know, like I said, I won't say any names
00:57:31 --> 00:57:37 or who's chatting with me about this stuff as we're talking about it. So, so.
00:57:41 --> 00:57:42 I might be in trouble.
00:57:45 --> 00:57:48 Like i said i
00:57:48 --> 00:57:52 might be in trouble but but for me like
00:57:52 --> 00:57:55 i said i didn't even know that thing existed honestly
00:57:55 --> 00:57:59 until i heard my wife talking i'm like like she's talking i'm like who's she
00:57:59 --> 00:58:05 talking to who's jack tp what the world's jack tp and then i like i said i happened
00:58:05 --> 00:58:08 to be watching the nba playoffs when the charles buckley commercial came on
00:58:08 --> 00:58:13 yeah he laid jack tpt Tell me that's about Charles Barkley. I'm like, what?
00:58:13 --> 00:58:20 I'm like, what in the world? You know, I asked, I asked Cat GPT before the Super Bowl.
00:58:20 --> 00:58:29 I said, who do you think will win the Super Bowl between the Eagles and the Chiefs? What is that?
00:58:30 --> 00:58:32 They said, oh, they said the Eagles.
00:58:32 --> 00:58:36 So I just kind of laughed about it. I didn't, I didn't say anything.
00:58:36 --> 00:58:41 And I kind of laughed about it. But then it came out that the Eagles did win.
00:58:41 --> 00:58:46 So I was like. All right, Dave, you know what I mean? I'm about to be on Bet Rivers tonight.
00:58:48 --> 00:58:51 Googling all the games. Look, you might have to do it.
00:58:51 --> 00:58:56 My suggestion would be before you go betting like that, do it a couple of times
00:58:56 --> 00:58:58 and see if they come up with the same answer each time.
00:58:58 --> 00:59:01 If they come up with the same answers each time, hey, go for it.
00:59:01 --> 00:59:06 Look, look, let me tell you something. I wonder, there's somebody that went
00:59:06 --> 00:59:12 on ChatGPT over the weekend, and I'm going to tell you this real quickly, and said,
00:59:13 --> 00:59:18 ChatGPT or whatever service they're using, similar, and said,
00:59:19 --> 00:59:22 what number should I play on the lottery tonight?
00:59:23 --> 00:59:29 I'm sure somebody did that. Now, there was a rare feat that happened a couple
00:59:29 --> 00:59:32 days ago just to show you how,
00:59:32 --> 00:59:36 and I'm sure how, you know, these numbers and everything are kind of playing
00:59:36 --> 00:59:39 together because I've never heard of this happening before.
00:59:39 --> 00:59:44 During the day, the three-digit number was 222, triple twos.
00:59:45 --> 00:59:48 During the night, the numbers were 222.
00:59:49 --> 00:59:55 One, one, one, triple one. Never and never in all my life have I ever heard
00:59:55 --> 00:59:57 that happening on the same day.
00:59:59 --> 01:00:05 And all the places that sell numbers and everything would get hit up by everybody.
01:00:06 --> 01:00:07 Now, this is the thing, though.
01:00:08 --> 01:00:16 If you're a person that plays numbers and if you use a service like ChatGPT or something like that,
01:00:16 --> 01:00:19 I'm sure the algorithms would pick
01:00:19 --> 01:00:23 up on this because for the last month it was
01:00:23 --> 01:00:26 hard trying to get triple twos
01:00:26 --> 01:00:32 in because they knew that triple twos everybody was playing them because somebody
01:00:32 --> 01:00:37 was telling everybody or something was telling everybody twos are going to come
01:00:37 --> 01:00:44 out okay twos came out same thing happened with the ones the ones came out guess
01:00:44 --> 01:00:46 what number you can't get in now,
01:00:47 --> 01:00:54 Now what do you mean They sell out If you don't play them by a third time They
01:00:54 --> 01:00:57 sell out you can't get the number in What number do you think that is I would
01:00:57 --> 01:01:00 probably say the triple twos No.
01:01:02 --> 01:01:08 Triple threes Yeah well you know what So the ones and the twos came out Because
01:01:08 --> 01:01:11 triples don't come out that much That's true,
01:01:12 --> 01:01:15 They don't come out that much So everybody saw
01:01:15 --> 01:01:18 the ones everybody saw the twos so the
01:01:18 --> 01:01:21 next number is three so that's what everybody's going
01:01:21 --> 01:01:24 to load up on now so but this is the kind
01:01:24 --> 01:01:29 of stuff that we're working on with the algorithms and algorithms and the numbers
01:01:29 --> 01:01:35 are even going that way now too to the algorithms even though they show even
01:01:35 --> 01:01:40 though they show those they still use the plastic balls to to pull the numbers
01:01:40 --> 01:01:41 and everything in a lot of places,
01:01:42 --> 01:01:47 what's happening is the percentages and everything, they're feeding into a program
01:01:47 --> 01:01:53 to try to see for the betters to figure out what numbers to play.
01:01:55 --> 01:02:00 So, we're in a different day and time right now. We're really in a different day and time.
01:02:01 --> 01:02:06 And that's why a lot of the colleges are having a lot of problems with plagiarism
01:02:06 --> 01:02:11 and everything. Because people are using stuff that ChatGVT is putting out there.
01:02:11 --> 01:02:15 But, of course, some of it is stuff that has already been put out there already.
01:02:16 --> 01:02:24 Yeah, because, like I said, I've used Microsoft's CoPilot, which is something similar to ChatTPT.
01:02:25 --> 01:02:29 And, you know, I've used it, you know, to send emails, you know,
01:02:30 --> 01:02:35 like, like, for instance, in Google, like Google has their little algorithm, you know,
01:02:36 --> 01:02:41 their AI, and it's helped me like send out emails, you know,
01:02:41 --> 01:02:44 and I'm like, okay, you know, I just talk into it.
01:02:44 --> 01:02:48 Like, okay, Google, I'm trying to send an email to this person.
01:02:48 --> 01:02:51 This is what I'm trying to say. I'll say what I'm going to say,
01:02:51 --> 01:02:52 and it'll write the email for me.
01:02:53 --> 01:02:55 And it'll ask me, this is what you want? And I'll be like, okay,
01:02:55 --> 01:03:01 that sounds good. Like I said, Dave, I'll clean up a little bit and then go ahead and send it.
01:03:01 --> 01:03:03 But I have this.
01:03:05 --> 01:03:07 Chat GT.
01:03:09 --> 01:03:12 Like I said, man, I have used it.
01:03:12 --> 01:03:15 Is it a free service? Do you have to pay for it? think so they
01:03:15 --> 01:03:18 they have a free and then they have like an upgraded one that's
01:03:18 --> 01:03:21 like 19 a month okay okay
01:03:21 --> 01:03:24 well i might have to look into it let
01:03:24 --> 01:03:27 me be honest ladies and gentlemen i've never used it at all
01:03:27 --> 01:03:30 well tim tim is something
01:03:30 --> 01:03:33 that you're gonna have it actually help you with some
01:03:33 --> 01:03:36 of the stuff that you do believe it or not it is
01:03:36 --> 01:03:39 something that you that and say this is
01:03:39 --> 01:03:42 the thing because there's a lot of people who are over
01:03:42 --> 01:03:45 the age of 50 that don't know anything about it or know how
01:03:45 --> 01:03:50 to use it and that is it's a shame because you know they're still doing a lot
01:03:50 --> 01:03:56 of stuff the long way you know and whatever and i've always tried to be as progressive
01:03:56 --> 01:04:01 as i can be with a lot of stuff and if i if i can find something that's going
01:04:01 --> 01:04:04 to make things easier uh that's what i'm
01:04:04 --> 01:04:09 do so and when leonard when leonard when leonard told me about it you know like
01:04:09 --> 01:04:14 i said i fought it for a little bit but then i said oh i'm using it and like
01:04:14 --> 01:04:17 for me like i said man alexa we we
01:04:17 --> 01:04:22 have a love-hate relationship and you know that's something i i've never really
01:04:22 --> 01:04:28 been interested in in using because i just don't i it just seems to me there's too much,
01:04:29 --> 01:04:34 troll, you give that to your household. You know what I nicknamed it?
01:04:35 --> 01:04:36 I nicknamed it the Tony Stark.
01:04:38 --> 01:04:42 It was like I've been calling it too much tech. It's too much Tony.
01:04:43 --> 01:04:47 You know, you got Alexa in your car and you know, come on, I don't know.
01:04:49 --> 01:04:54 It's too much tech. I know. When you start like there's a commercial on TV where
01:04:54 --> 01:05:00 the lady is standing outside of her car across the street using her phone And
01:05:00 --> 01:05:03 parking her car from her phone. See?
01:05:03 --> 01:05:06 Have you seen that commercial? Yeah, that's too much tech.
01:05:06 --> 01:05:10 Yeah, that's too much tech. I don't want a car that's going to park itself.
01:05:10 --> 01:05:12 I can use my phone to park the car.
01:05:13 --> 01:05:19 Too much tech. That's too much. It is. I have some snobber.
01:05:19 --> 01:05:21 No, I call it Tony Stark stuff.
01:05:24 --> 01:05:29 Okay. Anyway, moving on to our last story.
01:05:30 --> 01:05:33 This is somebody that a lot of people are familiar with.
01:05:33 --> 01:05:38 I mean, he's even made his way into TV shows and film now, you know,
01:05:38 --> 01:05:42 because of how popular of a character this guy has become over the years.
01:05:43 --> 01:05:45 KB Lane. Laney.
01:05:47 --> 01:05:54 He's the TikTok guy who everybody knows him when they see him because he's the guy,
01:05:54 --> 01:05:59 the black young guy that's in the background and when people are doing stupid
01:05:59 --> 01:06:04 things and he puts his hands up as to why, why people doing all of this, you know.
01:06:05 --> 01:06:08 That's the hands guy. Yeah, that's the hands guy, yeah.
01:06:09 --> 01:06:11 He was detained by the U.S.
01:06:12 --> 01:06:15 Immigration at Las Vegas Airport recently.
01:06:15 --> 01:06:19 And this is this is the story now
01:06:19 --> 01:06:23 it was so funny you know it almost
01:06:23 --> 01:06:27 makes you not want to go anywhere right now because all of this stuff that's
01:06:27 --> 01:06:33 going on you know so but this is what it says it says kb who was more who has
01:06:33 --> 01:06:40 more than 162 million followers so what could you do with 162 million followers,
01:06:40 --> 01:06:41 man. Come on now. Retire.
01:06:43 --> 01:06:47 Yeah, there you go. Retire, evil. Yeah, 162.
01:06:47 --> 01:06:52 I couldn't even imagine 162 followers on TikTok alone.
01:06:52 --> 01:06:56 That's just TikTok. Now, we ain't talking about any of the other platforms these are.
01:06:57 --> 01:07:06 And made more than 20 million on the platform in 2024 alone was briefly detained by U.S.
01:07:06 --> 01:07:13 Immigration and Custom Enforcement. which we know as ICE, on June 6th at Harry
01:07:13 --> 01:07:16 Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
01:07:16 --> 01:07:24 According to official ICE statement to AFP, it said that Lamey was held for
01:07:24 --> 01:07:29 immigration violations after overstaying his visa.
01:07:29 --> 01:07:37 He had entered the United States on April 30th and was released the same day of his detention.
01:07:38 --> 01:07:42 ICE also confirmed that Lamey has since left the United States.
01:07:43 --> 01:07:49 Newsweek reports, I didn't realize he was that young, that the 25-year-old Lamey,
01:07:49 --> 01:07:56 whose real name is Serenji Cabane Lamey,
01:07:56 --> 01:08:00 is an Italian citizen originally from Senegal.
01:08:00 --> 01:08:07 Wow. Okay. As of Saturday afternoon, he had not publicly addressed the incident on social media.
01:08:07 --> 01:08:11 Known to millions for his signature silent reactions in video,
01:08:12 --> 01:08:18 the influencer is the highest earner on TikTok, making him one of the most popular
01:08:18 --> 01:08:19 figures on the platform.
01:08:20 --> 01:08:25 Despite the controversy, there was no immediate sign that the incident.
01:08:26 --> 01:08:32 Affected his standing with the fans or his global brand partnerships lame's
01:08:32 --> 01:08:38 tiktok account consistently displays a signature style which involves poking fun at unnecessarily.
01:08:39 --> 01:08:42 Complicated life hacks and online
01:08:42 --> 01:08:45 tutorials he ends each video with a
01:08:45 --> 01:08:49 now iconic gesture arms outstretched with
01:08:49 --> 01:08:52 his palms turned upward eyes wide and
01:08:52 --> 01:08:55 smiling as it to say why make things
01:08:55 --> 01:08:59 harder than they need to be this unique
01:08:59 --> 01:09:02 approach has resonated with audiences around the world helping
01:09:02 --> 01:09:05 him stand out in the crowd out in
01:09:05 --> 01:09:10 social media space i'm gonna stop right there so everybody
01:09:10 --> 01:09:12 knows this guy i mean like i said he's been
01:09:12 --> 01:09:15 made his way he was in bad boys what was that
01:09:15 --> 01:09:18 four yeah he was in
01:09:18 --> 01:09:21 there that scene in bad boys was
01:09:21 --> 01:09:24 hilarious man yeah it was hilarious yeah he was in
01:09:24 --> 01:09:27 there see leonard you didn't see that i mean
01:09:27 --> 01:09:30 hold on take a black heart take take take
01:09:30 --> 01:09:33 his black heart is bad boy for the most recent one
01:09:33 --> 01:09:38 yeah okay oh yeah i mean i i i just saw that recently what what part did he
01:09:38 --> 01:09:45 have in it you missed that point apparently so apparently so yeah yeah okay
01:09:45 --> 01:09:50 well google it okay all right that's all you got yeah yeah because the scene was pretty cool.
01:09:50 --> 01:09:55 It was a car chase scene when Martin was running down the street and as he ran
01:09:55 --> 01:09:58 past Martin and Will, he turned and he did the gesture.
01:10:00 --> 01:10:05 And you see Will look at him. Will just looked at him and was like,
01:10:05 --> 01:10:07 okay, and he kept running.
01:10:08 --> 01:10:14 What got me with the young man is the commercials that he had when he had AI
01:10:14 --> 01:10:15 and them doing. Remember?
01:10:16 --> 01:10:19 Yeah. I don't remember what someone was doing. Was that with Facebook?
01:10:19 --> 01:10:24 Yeah they all were doing it they all were doing it they were all doing it like
01:10:24 --> 01:10:28 they'd be like that thing they call it that thing that's what they call you
01:10:28 --> 01:10:29 know and you know what's so funny,
01:10:29 --> 01:10:34 you you guys ever see the guy who'd be on social media they call him lethal
01:10:34 --> 01:10:38 shooter he's the guy that's yeah basketball he can shoot real good basketball
01:10:38 --> 01:10:41 and he's always talking because people always be challenging i bet you can't
01:10:41 --> 01:10:45 do this i bet you can't do this while doing this you know and he's always got
01:10:45 --> 01:10:46 to prove everybody wrong.
01:10:47 --> 01:10:50 And he'd be like, and he always, his favorite thing to say is,
01:10:51 --> 01:10:54 he'll miss a shot on purpose and then he say, okay, I understand it now.
01:10:55 --> 01:10:58 And then he'll hit the next one. You know what I mean? You've seen this guy, Tim?
01:10:58 --> 01:11:04 I've seen him. I've heard of him. Okay, okay. Have you seen the video with KB and him?
01:11:05 --> 01:11:12 No, I haven't seen that one yet. So, apparently, Lisa Shooter spent some time
01:11:12 --> 01:11:17 with KB showing him how to change it, because he likes to play basketball, apparently.
01:11:18 --> 01:11:23 Changed the shot a little bit, and they show him hitting from half court and
01:11:23 --> 01:11:26 the top of the key, like, seven in a row. Whoa.
01:11:26 --> 01:11:32 And he's got this unorthodox style of shooting, but he hit seven in a row.
01:11:32 --> 01:11:37 I mean, you know, and he said, he said, I told y'all, I'm the truth.
01:11:37 --> 01:11:39 You know, he said, I could teach anybody how to shoot.
01:11:40 --> 01:11:44 You know, he said, and you see KB puts his hands up and does his signature move.
01:11:46 --> 01:11:49 And Jordan, he's got Chicago Bulls
01:11:49 --> 01:11:53 gear on. Oh, he has the Jordan outfit uniform on while he's shooting.
01:11:54 --> 01:11:58 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Look that up. You'll see it. You'll see it.
01:11:58 --> 01:12:02 So, but, but this is, you know, so he's a very popular guy.
01:12:02 --> 01:12:08 But, you know, this is going to be the issue for a lot of these people who, you know, are here.
01:12:08 --> 01:12:12 You know, if you don't live here and you come to the states, that's one thing.
01:12:13 --> 01:12:17 But if you're not, if you don't have papers or have everything straight,
01:12:17 --> 01:12:18 you're going to have a problem.
01:12:19 --> 01:12:23 You know, if ICE stops here, you know, they stopping everybody right now.
01:12:23 --> 01:12:25 They stopping people who were born here.
01:12:26 --> 01:12:32 And that's the scary part about this, you know, because when I heard the story,
01:12:32 --> 01:12:36 I was like, wait a minute, not the hands guy. Are you serious?
01:12:37 --> 01:12:39 This dude's got, this dude's like the most popular person. You know they're
01:12:39 --> 01:12:43 going to be mad at him anyway because of all that money he's making.
01:12:43 --> 01:12:45 Yeah, like, come on, this dude's like one of the most popular persons.
01:12:46 --> 01:12:49 And from what I heard, he's pretty funny.
01:12:49 --> 01:12:54 So the reason why he was in Las Vegas in the first place was he was performing at a comedy club.
01:12:55 --> 01:13:00 So he's on comedy. On comedy. And they say he's pretty funny.
01:13:00 --> 01:13:06 So he's, you know, doing little comedy shows in Las Vegas. That's why he was there.
01:13:07 --> 01:13:12 But to detain the show. And the one thing I really give him credit for doing
01:13:12 --> 01:13:15 is he didn't make a big deal out of it. He voluntarily left.
01:13:16 --> 01:13:20 He voluntarily left. He didn't make a big deal. You know what?
01:13:20 --> 01:13:22 He wanted to be able to come. He wanted to get back over here.
01:13:22 --> 01:13:25 He wanted to be able to come back. so he better not make a bunch of noise about
01:13:25 --> 01:13:30 it so he was like no trump but trump was back in the country yeah he said he
01:13:30 --> 01:13:33 didn't want no smoke no big deal no problem i'm gonna leave and he left,
01:13:34 --> 01:13:37 he voluntarily jumped on the plane and he went back he went back he went back
01:13:37 --> 01:13:43 home you know now i'm pretty sure he'll be back in the country soon soon oh
01:13:43 --> 01:13:46 he'll be back here he's probably trying to get he's probably trying to move
01:13:46 --> 01:13:52 here i wouldn't be surprised you know you know what But this all stems from,
01:13:52 --> 01:13:55 and I know I'm pretty sure you guys have talked about it once before,
01:13:55 --> 01:13:56 and I'm pretty sure it'll come up again.
01:13:58 --> 01:14:03 The times that we're in right now, I mean, this is scary.
01:14:03 --> 01:14:12 I mean, you got to, the world's most recognizable influencer get deported from
01:14:12 --> 01:14:14 the United States. That's right. Making people laugh.
01:14:17 --> 01:14:20 Look, it's not a good time. I mean, it's not a good time for Americans.
01:14:20 --> 01:14:26 I mean, if you were of a different descent, like Hispanic or Indian or whatever,
01:14:26 --> 01:14:32 or African, and you were born here in the United States, and not everybody talks
01:14:32 --> 01:14:34 fluent English or whatever.
01:14:36 --> 01:14:41 If you're in an airport or someplace like that, and ISIS walking around,
01:14:41 --> 01:14:45 and you're talking, and you say something in a different language,
01:14:46 --> 01:14:50 automatically, Spidey senses are going off and say, oh, we need to go talk to
01:14:50 --> 01:14:52 them. Yeah. You know? Yeah.
01:14:53 --> 01:14:55 Yeah. I mean, it's scary. I mean,
01:14:55 --> 01:15:02 it's scary, you know, that we're in this day and age where, you know,
01:15:03 --> 01:15:07 America being home of the brave, land of the free home of the brave,
01:15:07 --> 01:15:10 that's out the window now. It has gone.
01:15:11 --> 01:15:15 Yeah. Yeah, it is. It is. so you
01:15:15 --> 01:15:19 guys just be careful when you're traveling there's
01:15:19 --> 01:15:23 a lot of stuff going on so just be
01:15:23 --> 01:15:26 diligent and just pay attention and just
01:15:26 --> 01:15:33 be careful that's all I gotta say so be careful out there alright so that leads
01:15:33 --> 01:15:38 us to our favorite part of the show especially Leonard's favorite part it's
01:15:38 --> 01:15:43 called Dave's Corner it's my favorite part of the show too I love Dave's corn.
01:15:43 --> 01:15:46 Man, I love Dave's corn. Thank you, too. Some of the stuff y'all be coming up
01:15:46 --> 01:15:49 with. Thank you, too. There you go. Some of the stuff y'all be coming up with.
01:15:49 --> 01:15:50 He's shaking my head like, okay.
01:15:50 --> 01:15:53 Yeah, Leonard's such a hater. You know, what can you say?
01:15:54 --> 01:16:02 But anyway, so I got a question for you guys, and let's see how you guys want to answer it.
01:16:02 --> 01:16:04 So Dave's corner question for you today.
01:16:05 --> 01:16:12 With all that's going on in America today, do you still feel this is the best country to live in?
01:16:12 --> 01:16:20 If not, where do you want to live? Let's go with Tim first. Okay. Good.
01:16:23 --> 01:16:28 Do I feel this is still the best country in the world to live in? No. I'm saying in fact.
01:16:29 --> 01:16:35 Uh-oh. Right now, I am completely fabricated.
01:16:35 --> 01:16:40 I'm trying to find a politically correct way to say, how in the world could
01:16:40 --> 01:16:45 70 million Yeah, I got to use Jackson. Yeah, exactly.
01:16:47 --> 01:16:50 Good. It's just mind-boggling to me that,
01:16:51 --> 01:16:57 Half of America, or a little over half of Americans, voted the way they voted.
01:16:57 --> 01:16:59 Of course, voting is a privilege from going the way you want to.
01:17:01 --> 01:17:05 However, when you look at the scope of it all, you stretch and you break it
01:17:05 --> 01:17:08 all down, it was wrong. It was wrong.
01:17:08 --> 01:17:12 And a lot of people now are regretting their vote.
01:17:12 --> 01:17:17 If I had someplace else to live, I have friends who actually live in London.
01:17:17 --> 01:17:20 That's like my Twitter friends. And, you know, got some social media friends.
01:17:20 --> 01:17:23 I actually live in London. I've visited London before, and I love London.
01:17:24 --> 01:17:26 London is a beautiful city. It really is.
01:17:27 --> 01:17:33 I would rather be there right now. People in England are saying that America
01:17:33 --> 01:17:36 is the biggest joke on the planet.
01:17:37 --> 01:17:41 I mean, they call America a joke now. It's a joke. And now they're like,
01:17:41 --> 01:17:45 as long as the guy playing president's in office, they're not even coming over here.
01:17:45 --> 01:17:47 There's no point in them coming over here. None. They're like,
01:17:47 --> 01:17:49 that's okay. We'll wait. We'll wait till he's gone.
01:17:50 --> 01:17:55 Then we'll come back. we'll come back when he's gone and I have friends matter
01:17:55 --> 01:18:00 of fact one of my friends is the gentleman who actually created the DJ program
01:18:00 --> 01:18:04 that I used me and Alex have been friends ever since he created Virtual DJ,
01:18:05 --> 01:18:09 and he said he's been in America twice, two times,
01:18:09 --> 01:18:14 and he said to him I would love to come over there but not while that guy y'all
01:18:14 --> 01:18:18 got planned presence in office I'm good, I'd rather stay here it's a shame,
01:18:18 --> 01:18:22 it really is a shame but yeah if,
01:18:23 --> 01:18:28 I had to leave and me and my wife had to leave, yeah, we'd be ghosts. Bye.
01:18:30 --> 01:18:34 Gone. Yeah, I get it. I get it. Glenn, what's your...
01:18:35 --> 01:18:39 I'm not sure whether to say yes or no, but...
01:18:40 --> 01:18:43 I know I will say America is not all it's cracked up to be. That's for sure.
01:18:43 --> 01:18:45 Kind of like Tim was talking about.
01:18:45 --> 01:18:51 And if I was going to go somewhere, I think I would either try to go to Africa
01:18:51 --> 01:18:59 or I don't know if it's whatever part of Asia is like Indonesia, Thailand.
01:19:00 --> 01:19:05 If I went to Africa, I try to go to Ghana, Liberia, Tanzania.
01:19:05 --> 01:19:09 You know, speaking of Liberia, you know, that's one of the, you know,
01:19:10 --> 01:19:13 the president that's banned, there's 19 countries that the president banned
01:19:13 --> 01:19:18 people from going to or coming here. Did he really?
01:19:18 --> 01:19:22 And Liberia was one of them. Liberia was the top one on his list.
01:19:23 --> 01:19:24 Look the list up, Leonard.
01:19:25 --> 01:19:28 Is that U.S. citizens can't go there and come back?
01:19:29 --> 01:19:36 It was a banned list of 19 countries that the president has said that they can't,
01:19:36 --> 01:19:39 I think he said they can't come into the United States.
01:19:40 --> 01:19:48 Yeah. Okay. So, but my other option would be like Indonesia, Bali, Thailand.
01:19:49 --> 01:19:51 That was another one, by the way. Was it really? Yeah.
01:19:52 --> 01:19:55 So, basically, Trump, all the other places we would want to go,
01:19:55 --> 01:19:57 he's trying to block them off next.
01:19:59 --> 01:20:05 Yeah that was another one yeah he's yeah it's of course Afghanistan yeah especially
01:20:05 --> 01:20:14 Afghanistan because he's blaming them for the thing that happened in Colorado yeah Haiti Iran,
01:20:14 --> 01:20:18 Libya Cuba Sierra Leone,
01:20:19 --> 01:20:27 Venezuela that's crazy yeah it's me and look the crazy thing about this list
01:20:27 --> 01:20:30 ladies and gentlemen, is most of these countries are in Africa.
01:20:33 --> 01:20:38 Is it crazy? It ain't too crazy to me. No.
01:20:40 --> 01:20:43 Which makes you think outside the box a little bit.
01:20:45 --> 01:20:48 And Dave know where I'm going because he's in these type of conversations.
01:20:49 --> 01:20:53 It makes you think. It makes you want to think like, who's next?
01:20:54 --> 01:20:57 Who's next? Yeah, I know. It's crazy.
01:20:58 --> 01:21:04 It's really crazy. But but so your so your your your final answer that Leonard
01:21:04 --> 01:21:10 was those places, one of those one of those countries that he told you not to go to.
01:21:12 --> 01:21:19 Basically. Yeah. OK. All right. You know, I'm not ready to give up on on on
01:21:19 --> 01:21:26 this country yet, but it thinks and we're only a year in to where we are,
01:21:26 --> 01:21:29 you know, under this new dictator.
01:21:29 --> 01:21:31 I mean, I mean, this new leadership.
01:21:34 --> 01:21:38 We're not even six months into it. Yeah, I know. Six months into this.
01:21:38 --> 01:21:41 I know, I know. It feels like it's been four years already, doesn't it? Yeah.
01:21:42 --> 01:21:50 But, but yeah, we, I still, still think that if it doesn't get messed up too
01:21:50 --> 01:21:53 bad over the next four years, I could still, I could still hang out here.
01:21:53 --> 01:21:58 But I know if things got so bad, you know, outside, of course,
01:21:58 --> 01:22:03 the obvious, Canada being one of them, you know, you know, I have friends in
01:22:03 --> 01:22:05 Thailand and they love it there.
01:22:06 --> 01:22:09 And they said, Dave, you would love it here. It's so progressive.
01:22:09 --> 01:22:12 They said it's very progressive, very clean.
01:22:13 --> 01:22:16 They do not play around with cleanliness over there.
01:22:17 --> 01:22:21 And and they and and and they're very friendly, she says.
01:22:21 --> 01:22:25 She says they're very friendly. There's a couple that I did their wedding.
01:22:26 --> 01:22:29 Well, Tim, Kelly, and Ron, I don't know if you remember, Kelly.
01:22:30 --> 01:22:33 We did it at the Sheridan. That was the last one. At the Sheridan,
01:22:33 --> 01:22:35 yeah. I remember that wedding, yeah. Yeah, okay.
01:22:36 --> 01:22:39 So they live in Thailand now. Wow.
01:22:40 --> 01:22:43 Yeah, they've been there since September of last year.
01:22:44 --> 01:22:46 Wow. And she went there for health reasons.
01:22:47 --> 01:22:52 And, and they, you know, they, they love it there.
01:22:52 --> 01:22:55 They, they moved, they sold their house and everything, moved to Thailand.
01:22:56 --> 01:23:00 She was talking about how beautiful it is there, how they've been treated.
01:23:00 --> 01:23:05 And then, you know, that she wasn't getting the help she needed over here health-wise
01:23:05 --> 01:23:07 because she's having some issues with her legs.
01:23:08 --> 01:23:12 She got the help over there and saved a boatload of money.
01:23:12 --> 01:23:16 I mean, what would it cost her, cause she had to have an operation?
01:23:16 --> 01:23:18 What would it cost $36 here?
01:23:19 --> 01:23:22 Cost her $1 over there. Wow.
01:23:23 --> 01:23:28 Yeah. So this is the kind of stuff that I'm talking about.
01:23:28 --> 01:23:34 And she said there's a lot of black people over there that have moved there from here.
01:23:35 --> 01:23:44 So this is something that I brought up because every time I turn on the TV or whatever,
01:23:44 --> 01:23:47 you know i every now and then i'll hear that kind
01:23:47 --> 01:23:50 of question to ask you know if you would
01:23:50 --> 01:23:54 you leave the united states you know and live
01:23:54 --> 01:24:00 somewhere else and a lot of people i'm hearing say yes so dave you said your
01:24:00 --> 01:24:05 answer is no is that correct right now right now willing to hang in there but
01:24:05 --> 01:24:11 if things get progressively worse over the next four years where would you go i told you thailand.
01:24:14 --> 01:24:17 Based on what I've been hearing about and of course,
01:24:19 --> 01:24:23 we've talked about the best places to live outside of the United States before
01:24:23 --> 01:24:25 Leonard and Thailand is always on that list,
01:24:26 --> 01:24:34 so yeah that's what I work you know where we are right now in the United States
01:24:34 --> 01:24:37 and America it's scary but,
01:24:38 --> 01:24:43 I know people who have heard those uncomfortable conversations about where they
01:24:43 --> 01:24:46 would like to live or where they want to live. Things getting progressively worse.
01:24:47 --> 01:24:52 For those who see what's going on in Los Angeles right now, this is just the
01:24:52 --> 01:24:54 beginning. It is. It was just the beginning.
01:24:55 --> 01:25:02 And if you have opportunity to pack up and go, hey, if me and my wife had the
01:25:02 --> 01:25:04 opportunity to pack up and go, we're gone.
01:25:05 --> 01:25:06 We're gone. You know.
01:25:08 --> 01:25:12 Yeah, well, and you know, he's petty, so, you know, he's already,
01:25:13 --> 01:25:16 you know, he's told people, if they find out that you moved out of the country,
01:25:17 --> 01:25:21 and especially because of him, you're going to have a hell of a time trying to get back in.
01:25:21 --> 01:25:28 Yeah, yeah, yeah, he, yo, this dude is, I mean, I mean, like I said,
01:25:28 --> 01:25:34 I don't know, ladies and gentlemen, have you ever watched the movie Civil War? that's on HBO Max.
01:25:35 --> 01:25:38 Kudos to HBO Max with giving it back to HBO. I miss that part of that.
01:25:41 --> 01:25:47 I'm so sick of Max. I like HBO Max. There's a better flow to it, HBO Max.
01:25:48 --> 01:25:53 It's on there. It's a what if. The movie is a what if.
01:25:55 --> 01:25:59 It's eerily similar to what is actually happening in the world.
01:25:59 --> 01:26:04 Well not in the world in this country today like
01:26:04 --> 01:26:08 that movie starts off with a little synopsis telling
01:26:08 --> 01:26:11 you that you know something happened in the state of
01:26:11 --> 01:26:14 california that caused you know
01:26:14 --> 01:26:18 this to go to texas and now now california texas
01:26:18 --> 01:26:21 and florida have become their own states and now
01:26:21 --> 01:26:24 it's those three states versus the current
01:26:24 --> 01:26:28 president united states was turned washington dc
01:26:28 --> 01:26:31 to his own personal fortress and yeah
01:26:31 --> 01:26:34 i was like and if correct me
01:26:34 --> 01:26:40 if i'm wrong ladies and gentlemen isn't his birthday and this big parade coming
01:26:40 --> 01:26:46 up like this saturday and he's got it's supposed to be like all these military
01:26:46 --> 01:26:48 tanks and everything but you
01:26:48 --> 01:26:53 hear what's going on in california don't you yeah yeah they said he's been.
01:26:54 --> 01:26:58 You know, that he has the, you know, he has sent the MPs and everything over there.
01:26:59 --> 01:27:03 They were doing the BET awards ceremony. They were outside protesting.
01:27:03 --> 01:27:08 And they had all those MPs, police, and everything out there.
01:27:08 --> 01:27:14 And a lot of stuff was going on. Because even Dochi, when she won her award, he talked about it.
01:27:15 --> 01:27:20 Yeah. You know, so. But, yeah, and he just deployed today 1 more to go out there.
01:27:20 --> 01:27:24 That's very easy. So, like I said, ladies and gentlemen, if you ever want to
01:27:24 --> 01:27:29 check out that movie Civil War, it's eerily similar to what is actually happening
01:27:29 --> 01:27:33 in the world, well, in the United States today.
01:27:35 --> 01:27:38 And I was like, okay, here we go.
01:27:38 --> 01:27:42 You got this big military parade that's supposed to take place this Saturday.
01:27:42 --> 01:27:44 He didn't already threaten. He didn't told them.
01:27:44 --> 01:27:51 If they protest this party, this big parade on Saturday, he said there will
01:27:51 --> 01:27:53 be major repercussions.
01:27:53 --> 01:27:56 His exact words. Major repercussions.
01:27:58 --> 01:28:04 You wonder why we're leaving the country. But anyway, that's the world we live in.
01:28:05 --> 01:28:09 Well guys yeah yeah that's
01:28:09 --> 01:28:12 true too well guys there you have it
01:28:12 --> 01:28:15 if you have your thoughts on what we just talked about
01:28:15 --> 01:28:18 dave's corner question and everything you
01:28:18 --> 01:28:22 guys are pretty good at getting back towards your feedback and everything i
01:28:22 --> 01:28:26 know you know there's certain people we hear from all the time that always have
01:28:26 --> 01:28:31 a lot to say about some of the things that we talk about during the dave's so

01:28:35 --> 01:28:37 also send it to Tim too as well,

01:29:07 --> 01:29:09 You can go in and give your social media pages there. Oh, yeah.
01:29:09 --> 01:29:12 My social, my Facebook page, of course, is my government name, Tim Byard.
01:29:12 --> 01:29:15 I do have another page, a DJ Tim Dog page.
01:29:15 --> 01:29:18 Of course, Instagram is DJ Tim Dog 418.
01:29:19 --> 01:29:24 You know, just thank you for the love and support and all the events I'm doing.
01:29:24 --> 01:29:26 I got a lot. Just follow me on social media.
01:29:27 --> 01:29:32 I got so much going on. but I appreciate all of y'all thank y'all so much thank
01:29:32 --> 01:29:38 you Leonard and Dave for always being my good friends almost like family really
01:29:38 --> 01:29:41 like me and Leonard said we joined the hip now.
01:29:43 --> 01:29:47 We joined the hip now so I get a chance to spend my anniversary with them every year.
01:29:49 --> 01:29:58 Right with 12 other people so it's always a good thing so okay Leonard,
01:29:58 --> 01:29:59 you got anything you want to say?
01:30:00 --> 01:30:04 Yeah, you know, I just want to say... Here you go, Dave.
01:30:06 --> 01:30:09 Just for that, I'm going to do a 10 or more word.
01:30:09 --> 01:30:14 But I want to thank everybody who came out to the Black Music Festival this
01:30:14 --> 01:30:15 weekend. It was a great turnout.
01:30:16 --> 01:30:19 And, you know, I think I want to encourage people to try to step out of their comfort zone.
01:30:20 --> 01:30:23 You know, there's a lot of great events out there. And I know everyone always
01:30:23 --> 01:30:25 wants to go to the brunches and the parties.
01:30:25 --> 01:30:30 But there's some other great events out there like music festival black music festival particularly,
01:30:31 --> 01:30:33 but you know just some other experiences and i
01:30:33 --> 01:30:36 say that because there were so many black people camping like
01:30:36 --> 01:30:39 tim you saw it there are a bunch of people oh yeah black people
01:30:39 --> 01:30:42 tent camping and it wasn't any
01:30:42 --> 01:30:45 like you know tim i don't know you saw these one
01:30:45 --> 01:30:48 people they had a tent they had two lounge chairs in
01:30:48 --> 01:30:51 the tent they had a tv the the tent
01:30:51 --> 01:30:57 was screened in on the sides so i mean he wasn't playing uh no you know so whoever
01:30:57 --> 01:31:03 thinks black people are like monolithic and they don't camp trust me there there's
01:31:03 --> 01:31:07 some people out there who really be doing it up whether they in the cabins rvs
01:31:07 --> 01:31:11 or so you know if you get a chance try something new,
01:31:11 --> 01:31:17 okay and speaking of trying something new folks if you haven't been there.
01:31:18 --> 01:31:23 Take a drive down from wherever you are, whether you're in Delaware or not,
01:31:24 --> 01:31:34 a drive over, drive down, drive near or fly out this way or whatever to visit
01:31:34 --> 01:31:37 the DNR campground. It's an awesome place. Yes.
01:31:38 --> 01:31:44 And it's beautiful. There's plenty of room down there. You can camp. You can RV.
01:31:44 --> 01:31:47 You can do all of the stuff that, you know, you just.
01:31:47 --> 01:31:51 You know even if you're doing it for the first time you want to try it this
01:31:51 --> 01:31:55 is a great place to do it and they have a swimming pool they they have you know
01:31:55 --> 01:32:00 they have food they have drinks they have everything so and speaking of food
01:32:00 --> 01:32:06 man shout out to lennar's wife yolanda man they be getting it in over there yeah
01:32:06 --> 01:32:16 so i'm just saying if you guys if you guys are looking for something to do,
01:32:17 --> 01:32:19 and you always say you ain't got nothing to do.
01:32:20 --> 01:32:25 I mean, you can always plan an elaborate trip or you can just keep it basic
01:32:25 --> 01:32:27 and keep it simple and come down.
01:32:27 --> 01:32:30 Oh, and we talked about RVs. We talked about tents.
01:32:31 --> 01:32:34 We talked about everything, but they also have 15 cabins.
01:32:35 --> 01:32:43 Yeah. Yeah. Cause I was in cabin number one. I mean, so they also have cabins on the campground too.
01:32:43 --> 01:32:48 So with all the amenities, so, you know, so let's keep that in mind.
01:32:48 --> 01:32:52 If you look for something to do, look up the GNR campground and,
01:32:52 --> 01:32:58 and Houston, Delaware and spelled like Houston, but it is Houston, Delaware.
01:32:59 --> 01:33:03 Since my partner doesn't promote it, I'm promoting it for him,
01:33:03 --> 01:33:07 you know, So, you know, that's what a good board member does, right, Leonard?
01:33:07 --> 01:33:10 That is correct. Okay, he's so excited.
01:33:11 --> 01:33:15 So, you know, so, but anyway, so if you have any information,
01:33:15 --> 01:33:18 look up Leonard, and he'll give you all the information.
01:33:18 --> 01:33:23 Or look at the GNR campground site. And for those of you who can't find it,
01:33:23 --> 01:33:25 you know, you can always reach out to me.
01:33:25 --> 01:33:27 I'll make sure you get in touch with him as well. All right?
01:33:27 --> 01:33:28 Yeah, same here, same here.
01:33:29 --> 01:33:34 I tell everybody, GNR campground. Look at something to do with GNR campground. There you go.
01:33:34 --> 01:33:39 Oh, and I got to give my man Dave Vibes-Milton a shout-out to coming down,
01:33:39 --> 01:33:40 DJing down there as well.
01:33:41 --> 01:33:45 He's been doing events in the campground, too, for the folks from Lower Delaware down there.
01:33:46 --> 01:33:50 So kudos to him and his crew for doing some amazing events down there this past year.
01:33:50 --> 01:33:53 When I finally saw him, I gave him a big hug. I told him, man,
01:33:53 --> 01:33:56 thank you for helping let him put this place back on the map, man.
01:33:57 --> 01:34:00 So he was like, oh, tell him, it's fun, man. We love coming down here.
01:34:00 --> 01:34:03 We love playing here. So I appreciate that. And thanks so much.
01:34:04 --> 01:34:07 Okay. All right. There you have it. There's all the love, people.
01:34:08 --> 01:34:13 So we want to thank you guys for showing us love and listening to News and Trends.
