00:04:59 --> 00:05:04 authentic It feels like paid actors Um I

00:05:09 --> 00:05:11 skeptical about watching it on Netflix
00:05:11 --> 00:05:13 cuz I wasn't sure So these don't give me

00:05:15 --> 00:05:18 Anyway it says um absolutely horrible

00:06:11 --> 00:06:15 performance her voice her writing skills
00:06:15 --> 00:06:18 Do I sound like a fan i'm a true fan of
00:06:18 --> 00:06:21 Missy Elliot I used to um being in the
00:06:21 --> 00:06:23 entertainment industry I wanted to be
00:06:23 --> 00:06:27 her like own a record label also be the
00:06:27 --> 00:06:30 artist I just thought that she was just
00:06:30 --> 00:06:34 an amazing businesswoman plus a an
00:06:34 --> 00:06:36 artist and I just thought that was such
00:06:36 --> 00:06:40 a cool thing Now um watching the
00:06:40 --> 00:06:43 performance she had everything in true
00:06:43 --> 00:06:46 Missy style you know she's going to have
00:06:46 --> 00:06:48 the crazy costumes She's going to have
00:06:48 --> 00:06:50 the performance level She's going to
00:06:50 --> 00:06:53 have the dancers She came out on stage
00:06:53 --> 00:06:56 as a transformer She's going to be have
00:06:57 --> 00:06:59 spaceships and all this other kind of
00:06:59 --> 00:07:02 stuff It's just messy with the the the
00:07:02 --> 00:07:06 big bags of her you know freaky freaky
00:07:06 --> 00:07:09 freaky and all this other kind of
00:07:09 --> 00:07:13 stuff That's just who she is And I love
00:07:13 --> 00:07:16 it And if you grew up in that generation
00:07:16 --> 00:07:18 you understood what she meant to the
00:07:18 --> 00:07:21 culture So I was looking at some of the
00:07:21 --> 00:07:23 reviews and things like that And it was
00:07:23 --> 00:07:25 honestly it was mixed reviews on it And
00:07:25 --> 00:07:27 I was like how in the heck can there
00:07:27 --> 00:07:29 ever be mixed reviews with Missy i mean
00:07:29 --> 00:07:31 of course all people don't have to like
00:07:31 --> 00:07:33 her I mean you know people love what
00:07:33 --> 00:07:37 they love But some of the people what I
00:07:37 --> 00:07:39 kept seeing is some of the people were
00:07:39 --> 00:07:41 saying
00:07:41 --> 00:07:44 that this
00:07:44 --> 00:07:46 generation may
00:07:46 --> 00:07:51 not really identify with Missy because
00:07:51 --> 00:07:53 uh they didn't come from you know the
00:07:53 --> 00:07:56 other generation So they weren't really
00:07:56 --> 00:07:59 they loved it but they they didn't love
00:07:59 --> 00:08:02 it like like the the a little bit older
00:08:02 --> 00:08:04 people loved it cuz they couldn't
00:08:04 --> 00:08:07 identify to some of the the older songs
00:08:07 --> 00:08:11 And I saw some um a couple of comments
00:08:11 --> 00:08:13 I'm a huge missing fan but the whole
00:08:13 --> 00:08:15 performance was disappointing
00:08:15 --> 00:08:18 considering she lip sync her entire set
00:08:18 --> 00:08:20 No You know
00:08:20 --> 00:08:24 what yeah Probably
00:08:24 --> 00:08:27 But when you do that
00:08:27 --> 00:08:31 much there are very few artists that can
00:08:31 --> 00:08:34 perform with that much intensity and
00:08:34 --> 00:08:38 that much you know um stage stuff and
00:08:38 --> 00:08:41 still be able to perform it full you
00:08:41 --> 00:08:44 know full voice Um there are only a few
00:08:44 --> 00:08:48 people that do it Beyonce
00:08:48 --> 00:08:51 um Usher you know and it's a skill It's
00:08:51 --> 00:08:54 a required skill And if you're not a
00:08:54 --> 00:08:58 performer that has developed that skill
00:08:58 --> 00:09:00 if you don't perform all day every day
00:09:00 --> 00:09:03 all day every day whatever developing
00:09:03 --> 00:09:05 that skill it's kind of hard to do And
00:09:05 --> 00:09:08 it's a lot She has a lot going on So I'm
00:09:08 --> 00:09:10 going to fault her for that And you
00:09:11 --> 00:09:13 know she has performed so much
00:09:13 --> 00:09:15 throughout her career I'm not going to
00:09:15 --> 00:09:17 take anything from Missy even if she had
00:09:17 --> 00:09:20 a bad day And I don't think this was a
00:09:20 --> 00:09:23 bad performance by far but even if she
00:09:23 --> 00:09:24 had a bad performance I'd be like "Oh
00:09:24 --> 00:09:27 well you know maybe she had a late night
00:09:27 --> 00:09:28 or something." That's how I would just
