00:00:21 --> 00:00:29 highlight all of their many talents.

00:00:31 --> 00:00:34 Deia Avery of the Demia Avery Show.
00:00:34 --> 00:00:35 Thank you so much for joining me on
00:00:35 --> 00:00:37 today's entertainment report. We're
00:00:37 --> 00:00:39 going to get right into it. If you're on
00:00:39 --> 00:00:41 YouTube, hit that subscribe button. Hit
00:00:41 --> 00:00:43 that like and share. If you're anywhere
00:00:43 --> 00:00:45 else, hit that like and share button.
00:00:45 --> 00:00:47 Now, we're going to get right into it.
00:00:47 --> 00:00:49 We got a lot of stuff going on today,
00:00:49 --> 00:00:52 especially with the uh Diddy trial. And
00:00:52 --> 00:00:55 you guys know I'm going to um update you
00:00:55 --> 00:00:58 guys later on today about that. But for
00:00:58 --> 00:01:01 right now, we're gonna get right into
00:01:01 --> 00:01:04 Tyler Perry has a new spin-off of
00:01:04 --> 00:01:06 Sisters. And I'm really excited about
00:01:06 --> 00:01:09 this because it's going to be entitled
00:01:09 --> 00:01:11 Divorce Sisters and it's going to be
00:01:12 --> 00:01:16 starring Latoya Lucky. I am so excited
00:01:16 --> 00:01:20 for her. I am so excited for her. I keep
00:01:20 --> 00:01:23 repeating it because I am so excited for
00:01:23 --> 00:01:27 her simply because I think not only is
00:01:27 --> 00:01:31 this sister and is she's so talented. Um
00:01:31 --> 00:01:35 she can sing, she can act, she's just
00:01:35 --> 00:01:38 amazing and it's about time she gets her
00:01:38 --> 00:01:41 just do. It is about time. So you've
00:01:41 --> 00:01:44 seen her of course like on Green Leaf um
00:01:44 --> 00:01:47 on other appearances like guest app
00:01:47 --> 00:01:49 guest appearances on different things
00:01:49 --> 00:01:52 but and of course Destiny's Child you
00:01:52 --> 00:01:56 know her from Destiny's Child but he is
00:01:56 --> 00:01:59 awesome. I mean she can sing. Yeah. And
00:01:59 --> 00:02:01 we love you know some of her singles
00:02:01 --> 00:02:02 that she
00:02:02 --> 00:02:06 had but I just think she's a phenomenal
00:02:06 --> 00:02:09 actress. So, it's about time she gets
00:02:09 --> 00:02:12 her her just do with that. So, according
00:02:12 --> 00:02:15 to the series synopsis, the spin-off
00:02:15 --> 00:02:19 centers on five close friends, Rashida,
00:02:19 --> 00:02:22 Geneva, Naomi, Tiffany, and Bridget. As
00:02:22 --> 00:02:24 they navigate life, love, and the
00:02:24 --> 00:02:26 challenges that come with divorce,
00:02:26 --> 00:02:28 marriage, and dating. As they lean on
00:02:28 --> 00:02:29 each other through heartbreak and
00:02:29 --> 00:02:31 healing, their biggest test comes from
00:02:31 --> 00:02:34 within their own circle, challenging
00:02:34 --> 00:02:36 their loyalty, character, and true bond
00:02:36 --> 00:02:39 of sisterhood. Um, Tyler Perry goes on
00:02:40 --> 00:02:41 to say, "This is a story of resilience
00:02:41 --> 00:02:45 and the power of female friendship." And
00:02:45 --> 00:02:47 he says, "I hope audiences fall in love
00:02:47 --> 00:02:49 with these dynamic characters and are
00:02:49 --> 00:02:51 able to explore their own personal
00:02:51 --> 00:02:53 truths about healing and love through
00:02:53 --> 00:02:56 them." I love that. divorce sisters.
00:02:56 --> 00:02:58 That That's That should be good. That
00:02:58 --> 00:03:00 should be good cuz I I know how good
00:03:00 --> 00:03:02 Latoya Lucket is. I'm not sure of these
00:03:02 --> 00:03:04 who the other characters are played by,
00:03:04 --> 00:03:07 but this premieres on June 9th. So,
00:03:07 --> 00:03:09 congratulations, Latoya. I know this is
00:03:09 --> 00:03:12 going to be great. So, and Sisters, it,
00:03:12 --> 00:03:15 you know, it it's a great series, so
00:03:15 --> 00:03:17 everybody loves that. So, I'm sure it'll
00:03:17 --> 00:03:21 be just as good. So, here's a little
00:03:21 --> 00:03:24 drama about Lil Wayne.
00:03:24 --> 00:03:27 So apparently over Mother's Day,
00:03:27 --> 00:03:29 um he and him
00:03:29 --> 00:03:32 his partner, his girlfriend, I guess
00:03:32 --> 00:03:34 that's his girlfriend, you know,
00:03:34 --> 00:03:38 whatever. But her name is Denise Badat.
00:03:38 --> 00:03:39 I'm not sure how to pronounce her name.
00:03:39 --> 00:03:42 If I'm pronouncing it wrong, I'll make
00:03:42 --> 00:03:44 sure you say that in the comments. But
00:03:44 --> 00:03:47 she took to to her social media and she
00:03:47 --> 00:03:49 accused Little Wayne of kicking her and
00:03:49 --> 00:03:52 her daughter out on Mother's Day and
00:03:52 --> 00:03:55 claimed that he physically assaulted her
00:03:55 --> 00:03:59 during their relationship. Um, she goes
00:03:59 --> 00:04:01 on to say that he forced her and her
00:04:02 --> 00:04:05 daughter out of their shared home while
00:04:05 --> 00:04:07 she was still healing from surgery and
00:04:07 --> 00:04:10 claims he physically assaulted her, like
00:04:10 --> 00:04:12 I said, during their relationship. Why
00:04:12 --> 00:04:16 she put this on social media? Like there
00:04:16 --> 00:04:19 has to be a purpose why she did that,
00:04:19 --> 00:04:22 you know, airing all that stuff out on
00:04:22 --> 00:04:26 social media. She said, "Wayne literally
00:04:26 --> 00:04:27 kicked me and my daughter out on
00:04:27 --> 00:04:29 Mother's Day today and I'm just
00:04:29 --> 00:04:32 recovering from surgery. I'm five weeks
00:04:32 --> 00:04:35 out from a full mommy makeover. I can't
00:04:35 --> 00:04:38 even lift boxes. But this man has his
00:04:38 --> 00:04:40 assistance and people coming to help
00:04:40 --> 00:04:43 kick us out
00:04:43 --> 00:04:47 today. I I I don't condone that his
00:04:47 --> 00:04:49 actions if that's what actually
00:04:49 --> 00:04:51 happened. I do not. And I'm not making
00:04:52 --> 00:04:55 fun of any type of abuse. But I just
00:04:55 --> 00:04:57 don't understand why she's putting this
00:04:57 --> 00:05:00 on social media. I just don't.
00:05:00 --> 00:05:04 So if that's what happened, I hope that
00:05:04 --> 00:05:09 she that she called authorities or if if
00:05:09 --> 00:05:11 it was needed to call authorities and
00:05:11 --> 00:05:13 things like that. Just don't believe in
00:05:13 --> 00:05:15 people putting that type of stuff on
00:05:15 --> 00:05:18 social media. I don't know. Is she
00:05:18 --> 00:05:20 trying to obviously she's trying to
00:05:20 --> 00:05:24 embarrass him. Um is there some type of
00:05:24 --> 00:05:27 money she's trying to get get out of
00:05:27 --> 00:05:30 this? At the end of the day, I I don't
00:05:30 --> 00:05:32 know what is her motive for for doing
00:05:32 --> 00:05:35 that on social media. If he is
00:05:35 --> 00:05:40 physically abusing him her, is uh she
00:05:40 --> 00:05:42 trying to get him help? Is she what what
00:05:42 --> 00:05:43 is it? I don't think that that's what it
00:05:43 --> 00:05:45 is to be honest with you. But I mean,
00:05:45 --> 00:05:48 I'm not her so I can't really say, but
00:05:48 --> 00:05:50 you know, everybody get some help. That
00:05:50 --> 00:05:53 that's all that I got to say about that.
00:05:53 --> 00:05:55 So, honestly, guys, it's not a whole lot
00:05:55 --> 00:06:00 of uh entertainment news out there uh
00:06:00 --> 00:06:03 today. It's all about the Diddy case.
00:06:03 --> 00:06:06 So, um I'm just going to read a little
00:06:06 --> 00:06:09 recap of what's going on and then later
00:06:09 --> 00:06:15 on today um after the trial for today,
00:06:15 --> 00:06:17 day one of the trial, I'm going to do a
00:06:17 --> 00:06:21 little uh recap of what happened. But um
00:06:21 --> 00:06:22 just a little rundown from the
00:06:22 --> 00:06:24 Washington Post. Opening statements
00:06:24 --> 00:06:27 begin today in the Shaun Dy Combmes uh
00:06:27 --> 00:06:30 federal smacks trafficking trial
00:06:30 --> 00:06:32 propelling a high-profile case expected
00:06:32 --> 00:06:35 to draw intense public scrutiny.
00:06:35 --> 00:06:38 Sean Combmes, 55, who has been detained
00:06:38 --> 00:06:40 in the Brooklyn jail since September,
00:06:40 --> 00:06:43 has pleaded not guilty to five criminal
00:06:43 --> 00:06:46 charges of racketeering, conspiracy,
00:06:46 --> 00:06:48 smacks, trafficking, and transportation
00:06:48 --> 00:06:49 to engage in
00:06:49 --> 00:06:52 prostitution. If convicted on all
00:06:52 --> 00:06:55 counts, he faces 15 years to life in
00:06:55 --> 00:06:57 prison. The rap mogul has repeatedly
00:06:58 --> 00:07:00 denied any wrongdoing, including
00:07:00 --> 00:07:02 allegations of the center of a growing
00:07:02 --> 00:07:05 number of civil sec sexual assault
00:07:05 --> 00:07:07 lawsuits. The trial estimated to last
00:07:07 --> 00:07:10 eight weeks, will not be publicly
00:07:10 --> 00:07:12 broadcasted. Oh, but I wish it would
00:07:12 --> 00:07:15 have been. Uh, last week, prosecutors
00:07:15 --> 00:07:18 provided jurors with a list of 190
00:07:18 --> 00:07:21 names, including celebrities and public
00:07:21 --> 00:07:23 figures that could surface during
00:07:23 --> 00:07:28 testimony. Y'all think they I I hope
00:07:28 --> 00:07:30 that we get a glimpse of who some of
00:07:30 --> 00:07:32 these names are other than the names
00:07:32 --> 00:07:35 that we already know about. Um Col's
00:07:36 --> 00:07:37 family members who have attended
00:07:37 --> 00:07:39 pre-trial hearings are expected to
00:07:39 --> 00:07:42 appear again in a united front. Survivor
00:07:42 --> 00:07:46 advocates, protesters, content creators,
00:07:46 --> 00:07:49 and Free Puff supporters are likely to
00:07:49 --> 00:07:51 converge outside the courthouse and
00:07:51 --> 00:07:54 online as the case unfolds. And just
00:07:54 --> 00:07:56 days before the trials began, Holmes
00:07:56 --> 00:07:59 added new lawyers as he continues to
00:07:59 --> 00:08:02 build his defense in case that threatens
00:08:02 --> 00:08:05 to topple his legacy. I know he added
00:08:05 --> 00:08:07 that one lawyer. I don't know what her
00:08:07 --> 00:08:10 name is, but we'll see how that goes.
00:08:10 --> 00:08:12 It's it's a female lawyer that he
00:08:12 --> 00:08:15 recently added that it's a little
00:08:15 --> 00:08:18 controversy behind her because she
00:08:18 --> 00:08:23 herself is a victim of essay. And I'm
00:08:23 --> 00:08:24 not sure how that's going to play out
00:08:24 --> 00:08:27 because what I'm hearing at first it was
00:08:27 --> 00:08:31 like, "Oh boy, that might be a a good
00:08:31 --> 00:08:33 thing for the defense." However, I'm
00:08:33 --> 00:08:37 hearing that there, unless her essay has
00:08:38 --> 00:08:40 something to do
00:08:40 --> 00:08:44 um directly or has
00:08:44 --> 00:08:47 something, you know, to do with the
00:08:47 --> 00:08:49 case. She can't really talk about it.
00:08:49 --> 00:08:52 So, what's the point? So,
00:08:52 --> 00:08:54 It's something like that. So, if you
00:08:54 --> 00:08:58 guys have more information about that,
00:08:58 --> 00:09:00 um, you know, put it down in the
00:09:00 --> 00:09:01 comments, but it's something like that
00:09:01 --> 00:09:05 that if she, unless it has something
00:09:05 --> 00:09:07 directly or has something to do with the
00:09:07 --> 00:09:10 case, she can't really talk about her
00:09:10 --> 00:09:12 own personal
00:09:12 --> 00:09:15 experiences. Um, and I wouldn't think
00:09:15 --> 00:09:16 so. I mean, like, what does that have to
00:09:16 --> 00:09:19 do with her own personal experience? and
00:09:19 --> 00:09:25 to be able to to to sway the jury about
00:09:25 --> 00:09:28 her own personal experiences somehow.
00:09:28 --> 00:09:31 Um, I think that that
00:09:31 --> 00:09:34 would mess everything up to be honest,
00:09:34 --> 00:09:36 but you know, I don't know. Anyway, I'm
00:09:36 --> 00:09:38 not a lawyer. But anyway, guys, I'll
00:09:38 --> 00:09:43 talk to you guys later. Bye bye.
