00:01:32 --> 00:01:34 well first of all thanks for having me I

00:01:34 --> 00:01:37 apologize for my torness I was busy

00:01:37 --> 00:01:40 taking care of my my grandson who have

00:01:40 --> 00:01:43 um a flu bug and definitely so I'm just

00:01:43 --> 00:01:45 honored to be with you today thanks

00:01:45 --> 00:01:47 again for being patient with me oh

00:01:47 --> 00:01:49 you're so welcome that flu bug is a trip

00:01:49 --> 00:01:51 because this weather is crazy it's like

00:01:51 --> 00:01:55 up and down and 40s and 50s and then 70s

00:01:55 --> 00:01:58 and you don't know what to wear what to

00:01:58 --> 00:02:01 do right right right so you got to be

00:02:01 --> 00:02:03 careful in all that you do and make sure

00:02:03 --> 00:02:06 we protect ourselves at all times that's

00:02:06 --> 00:02:09 right that's right so I'm g go ahead and

00:02:09 --> 00:02:12 just get started listen you have had

00:02:12 --> 00:02:15 such a well-rounded career so far and

00:02:16 --> 00:02:18 it's only fair to start at a little bit

00:02:18 --> 00:02:20 at the beginning so I know that you

00:02:20 --> 00:02:23 started with your siblings so tell us a

00:02:23 --> 00:02:26 little bit what it was like working with

00:02:26 --> 00:02:28 them and recording music with them it

00:02:28 --> 00:02:31 was a blessing from God man what a

00:02:31 --> 00:02:33 humble beginning we all come from man my

00:02:33 --> 00:02:35 father asked the Lord to bless him with

00:02:35 --> 00:02:37 a singer so it started with my oldest

00:02:37 --> 00:02:39 sister and and it will definitely

00:02:39 --> 00:02:42 continue to um transition to each and

00:02:42 --> 00:02:44 every one of us as my parents continue

00:02:44 --> 00:02:47 to be fruitful and multiply you know um

00:02:47 --> 00:02:49 my dad is the pastor and he believe in

00:02:49 --> 00:02:51 being proof with multiply because it's

00:02:51 --> 00:02:53 10 of us and I always like to say that

00:02:53 --> 00:02:56 I'm five I'm number five everybody's

00:02:56 --> 00:02:58 favorite and the Lord continue to bless

00:02:58 --> 00:03:01 us and give us all of the wonderful Accu

00:03:01 --> 00:03:03 ways that we can accumulate on the

00:03:03 --> 00:03:05 journey working for him and we always

00:03:05 --> 00:03:06 reminded that as long as we're working

00:03:06 --> 00:03:09 for him he will Pro provide for us he

00:03:09 --> 00:03:11 will supply our needs he will give us

00:03:11 --> 00:03:13 the desires of our heart so we continue

00:03:13 --> 00:03:16 to remain humble unto him and and I'm

00:03:16 --> 00:03:18 honored to have their support as I

00:03:18 --> 00:03:20 transition to the solo artist in 18 and

00:03:20 --> 00:03:23 now the Lord has me on the track of you

00:03:23 --> 00:03:25 know receiving different accolades as a

00:03:25 --> 00:03:27 solo artist and I'm just excited about

00:03:27 --> 00:03:29 all that the Lord is doing and it all

00:03:29 --> 00:03:32 comes from humble beginnings I love that

00:03:32 --> 00:03:35 now I just heard you say t of y'all so

00:03:35 --> 00:03:38 let's let's explore that a little bit so

00:03:38 --> 00:03:40 T y' so did you were you guys fighting

00:03:41 --> 00:03:45 over like who's gonna do the lead this

00:03:45 --> 00:03:47 time's we had a couple of buding of

00:03:47 --> 00:03:50 heads but in the beginning it always was

00:03:50 --> 00:03:52 Regina and Bobby my oldest brother they

00:03:52 --> 00:03:55 were the seasoned vocalist so we waited

00:03:55 --> 00:03:58 our turn and we we chopped in on certain

00:03:58 --> 00:04:00 moments where we could implement our

00:04:00 --> 00:04:02 vocals until we became seasoned enough

00:04:03 --> 00:04:05 and definitely um just definitely

00:04:05 --> 00:04:08 trained enough to to lead Sons publicly

00:04:08 --> 00:04:09 you know we would lead songs at the

00:04:09 --> 00:04:11 youth choir and stuff and then we would

00:04:12 --> 00:04:13 change keys but that was vitally

00:04:13 --> 00:04:16 important not to do when you're leaving

00:04:16 --> 00:04:18 the song so we definitely have to wait

00:04:18 --> 00:04:20 our turn and and in due season that came

00:04:21 --> 00:04:23 and and now Look What the Lord Has

00:04:23 --> 00:04:26 Done do you miss it at all do you miss

00:04:26 --> 00:04:28 singing with your sibling absolutely

00:04:28 --> 00:04:31 miss I miss a lot but you know we always

00:04:31 --> 00:04:35 um we always get together once a year um

00:04:35 --> 00:04:38 here in Louisiana there's um the big

00:04:38 --> 00:04:40 jazz festivals and we are always um

00:04:40 --> 00:04:43 special guests on that main stage and

00:04:43 --> 00:04:45 we're able to come together and sing

00:04:45 --> 00:04:47 together um for the main stages each and

00:04:47 --> 00:04:50 every year so we definitely always um

00:04:50 --> 00:04:52 reunite you know per se but we don't

00:04:52 --> 00:04:55 travel as much as you know because I'm

00:04:55 --> 00:04:57 now the solo artist and and they are

00:04:57 --> 00:04:59 here taking care of business I love it I

00:04:59 --> 00:05:02 love it now how has that transition has

00:05:02 --> 00:05:04 been like coming from your siblings and

00:05:04 --> 00:05:05 then going into your solo career did you

00:05:05 --> 00:05:08 ever did you struggle with that at all

00:05:08 --> 00:05:10 or was it just you know it's just

00:05:10 --> 00:05:12 something that just well this is you

00:05:12 --> 00:05:14 know this is natural this is how it's

00:05:14 --> 00:05:16 going to how it's going to go well

00:05:16 --> 00:05:18 definitely it was a um struggle in the

00:05:18 --> 00:05:19 beginning because you know I was on the

00:05:20 --> 00:05:22 road by myself by myself when I was used

00:05:22 --> 00:05:24 to being on the road with my sisters and

00:05:24 --> 00:05:26 brothers so it was definitely a learning

00:05:26 --> 00:05:30 experience but I'm well um um SE in that

00:05:30 --> 00:05:33 area now I've can um phone home to my

00:05:33 --> 00:05:36 wife when I get lonely as much you know

00:05:36 --> 00:05:38 you know and she would travel with me on

00:05:38 --> 00:05:40 some engagements and my manager is

00:05:40 --> 00:05:41 always on the road with me to

00:05:41 --> 00:05:44 accommodate me so um I don't miss it um

00:05:44 --> 00:05:46 as much as I I did in the beginning you

00:05:47 --> 00:05:48 know you have to get used to things

00:05:48 --> 00:05:50 because that's the transition that the

00:05:50 --> 00:05:56 Lord had me on yes ma'am yeah now with

00:05:56 --> 00:06:00 with you being solo now you have a a lot

00:06:00 --> 00:06:01 of things come with that and I think a

00:06:01 --> 00:06:05 lot of people don't know that you have

00:06:05 --> 00:06:07 to stay grounded because you you know

00:06:07 --> 00:06:09 you got some singles out there that

00:06:09 --> 00:06:11 people love and and people out there you

00:06:11 --> 00:06:14 know tit the showers and this and that

00:06:14 --> 00:06:16 and how do you stay how do you stay

00:06:16 --> 00:06:19 grounded especially with like the

00:06:19 --> 00:06:22 demands of of the public life and and

00:06:22 --> 00:06:24 your career you know what I mean how do

00:06:24 --> 00:06:27 you stay grounded well it's always been

00:06:27 --> 00:06:28 um humbled and reminded of who you're

00:06:28 --> 00:06:31 working for um you you never want to get

00:06:31 --> 00:06:33 too high you know in this industry

00:06:33 --> 00:06:35 because God will bring you down you

00:06:35 --> 00:06:37 always be reminded of that and that way

00:06:37 --> 00:06:39 you you won't become arrogant and you

00:06:39 --> 00:06:41 won't um become the guy that no one

00:06:41 --> 00:06:44 wants to be around or no one wants to

00:06:44 --> 00:06:46 work with so you remain humble because

00:06:46 --> 00:06:47 you know who you're working for and you

00:06:47 --> 00:06:49 know that it can be taken away from you

00:06:49 --> 00:06:52 in a moment in the blinking of an eye so

00:06:52 --> 00:06:54 um you don't want that to happen to you

00:06:54 --> 00:06:56 so it's my advice to you is to remain

00:06:56 --> 00:06:59 humble and always give honor to God and

00:06:59 --> 00:07:02 and definitely follow the um the way of

00:07:02 --> 00:07:04 life that it should be and you're right

00:07:04 --> 00:07:06 about that and he will take you down and

00:07:06 --> 00:07:08 he'll let you know in a

00:07:08 --> 00:07:11 minute absolutely don't play with him

00:07:11 --> 00:07:13 he's the

00:07:13 --> 00:07:17 man that's right now your music is of

00:07:17 --> 00:07:19 course it's gospel but it does have

00:07:19 --> 00:07:22 elements of like you know like soul and

00:07:22 --> 00:07:25 and RB like today's you know trendy do

00:07:25 --> 00:07:28 you find it hard to balance all of that

00:07:28 --> 00:07:31 in your music well um I don't really

00:07:31 --> 00:07:33 find it hard because I grew up pretty

00:07:33 --> 00:07:36 much a PK and I really just stay focused

00:07:36 --> 00:07:38 on you know the gospel aspect of it even

00:07:38 --> 00:07:40 though it's enticing to cross over it's

00:07:40 --> 00:07:44 very enticing yeah and it pays well to

00:07:44 --> 00:07:46 cross over so but I remain humbled and

00:07:46 --> 00:07:48 steadfast in the area that the Lord have

00:07:48 --> 00:07:51 me in because I know that he's getting

00:07:51 --> 00:07:53 the glory out of my gift and he's giving

00:07:53 --> 00:07:55 me something that he wants me to use for

00:07:55 --> 00:07:58 his honor and for his glory no slight to

00:07:58 --> 00:08:00 anyone who has crossed over but because

00:08:00 --> 00:08:02 so many amazing artists come from the

00:08:02 --> 00:08:04 church and went over to you know R&B or

00:08:04 --> 00:08:07 went over to another general of music I

00:08:07 --> 00:08:09 just wanted to stay rooted and grounded

00:08:09 --> 00:08:11 in this area because I know that you

00:08:11 --> 00:08:14 know my father on Earth which is my dad

00:08:14 --> 00:08:17 he will be happy and of course you know

00:08:17 --> 00:08:19 I glorify God um who who will definitely

00:08:19 --> 00:08:24 get the glory out of all that I do so I

00:08:24 --> 00:08:27 remain yeah because some music today you

00:08:27 --> 00:08:29 know you you you you listening you

00:08:29 --> 00:08:31 glorify then you like open you know you

00:08:31 --> 00:08:33 bouncing a little bit like you're

00:08:33 --> 00:08:35 bouncing a little too much wait hold on

00:08:35 --> 00:08:38 right you got to be reminded and those

00:08:38 --> 00:08:40 those things happen you know you got a

00:08:40 --> 00:08:42 time and a place for everything you know

00:08:42 --> 00:08:45 I listen to um great R&B music I'm a Joe

00:08:45 --> 00:08:48 fan Joe is my favorite singer to go to

00:08:48 --> 00:08:50 to learn a real you know so I like I

00:08:50 --> 00:08:53 like the beyonces of the world you know

00:08:53 --> 00:08:55 I even listen to The Hip Hop I love the

00:08:55 --> 00:08:57 artwork that Kendrick painted for the

00:08:57 --> 00:08:59 Super Bowl you know I I learned from

00:08:59 --> 00:09:01 different music but I definitely remain

00:09:01 --> 00:09:03 rooted and grounded in the area that I'm

00:09:03 --> 00:09:06 in I love that now I have a question I

00:09:06 --> 00:09:07 don't think I've ever asked this

00:09:07 --> 00:09:10 question before and I and the only

00:09:10 --> 00:09:12 reason why I'm asking is because in my

00:09:12 --> 00:09:15 former life I used to I used to sing We

00:09:15 --> 00:09:19 back in the day okay okay yeah so as an

00:09:19 --> 00:09:22 artist and I won't even say a gospel

00:09:22 --> 00:09:24 artist but just an artist period do you

00:09:24 --> 00:09:28 find yourself like more creative or more

00:09:28 --> 00:09:32 free I should say um in the studio or

00:09:33 --> 00:09:36 live wow so you're more free live

00:09:36 --> 00:09:39 because studio is more of a um a

00:09:39 --> 00:09:41 condensed atmosphere where you have to

00:09:41 --> 00:09:44 present Perfection you know live you you

00:09:44 --> 00:09:47 want to um present Perfection but it's

00:09:47 --> 00:09:50 impossible for any of us to be perfect

00:09:50 --> 00:09:52 but we definitely practice enough there

00:09:52 --> 00:09:55 where what you don't see as a mistake we

00:09:55 --> 00:09:57 know it's a mistake um because we can

00:09:57 --> 00:10:00 cover it up we have ship that's where

00:10:00 --> 00:10:02 that kicks in live so it's nothing like

00:10:02 --> 00:10:05 being live but you can always fix

00:10:05 --> 00:10:07 anything whether you record it live

00:10:07 --> 00:10:09 whether you record it in the studio you

00:10:09 --> 00:10:11 can always go back and correct it or you

00:10:11 --> 00:10:13 can add some autot tunes to it but you

00:10:13 --> 00:10:15 can't add autot Tunes in public you

00:10:15 --> 00:10:18 can't Milly vanil anyone in public so

00:10:18 --> 00:10:20 that's

00:10:20 --> 00:10:23 right so it's definitely um the

00:10:23 --> 00:10:26 Perfection happens more in the studio

00:10:26 --> 00:10:28 and and live you get some hiccups that

00:10:28 --> 00:10:30 probably you may not know about because

00:10:30 --> 00:10:32 we are professionals and we know how to

00:10:32 --> 00:10:35 cover up on it you know yeah and not

00:10:35 --> 00:10:37 only do you get you get the hiccups but

00:10:37 --> 00:10:40 you you ever like you're singing live

00:10:40 --> 00:10:43 and you so into it and you do something

00:10:43 --> 00:10:45 you didn't even think you knew how to do

00:10:45 --> 00:10:48 yes you you do things that like impress

00:10:48 --> 00:10:51 yourself I was on stage in hunsville

00:10:51 --> 00:10:54 Alabama at an event man and I was just

00:10:54 --> 00:10:56 you know it just some nice you feel like

00:10:56 --> 00:10:58 you have it it's like Steph Curry don't

00:10:58 --> 00:10:59 hit 73 point

00:10:59 --> 00:11:01 every night Brun don't give you a triple

00:11:01 --> 00:11:03 triple double every night but some

00:11:03 --> 00:11:06 nights he come out he just have it going

00:11:06 --> 00:11:09 on a vocal is um that's what happens you

00:11:09 --> 00:11:11 know you just feel good and and those

00:11:11 --> 00:11:14 moments occur and you want you love to

00:11:14 --> 00:11:16 take advantage of those moments that's

00:11:16 --> 00:11:18 right that's right and then I guess too

00:11:18 --> 00:11:20 you have the you know you have the

00:11:20 --> 00:11:22 feedback of of the audience and stuff

00:11:22 --> 00:11:25 like that so that gets you you know that

00:11:25 --> 00:11:26 keeps you going and stuff like that that

00:11:26 --> 00:11:28 blood boiling gives you extra you know

00:11:28 --> 00:11:31 career you see that one person vibing

00:11:31 --> 00:11:33 with you in the audience that's the

00:11:33 --> 00:11:35 person you connect with and that that

00:11:35 --> 00:11:37 keeps and gives you strength and keeps

00:11:37 --> 00:11:39 you going on in your U ministry as you

00:11:39 --> 00:11:43 go before the people I love it I love it

00:11:43 --> 00:11:45 now I heard you mention question great

00:11:45 --> 00:11:47 question I love

00:11:47 --> 00:11:50 that now I heard you mention Joe is one

00:11:50 --> 00:11:52 of is one of your favorites who are some

00:11:52 --> 00:11:54 of your other musical influences would

00:11:54 --> 00:11:57 you say wow um so you know R&B's

00:11:57 --> 00:12:00 definitely Joe you know I just love his

00:12:00 --> 00:12:02 ability um I was in junior high I used

00:12:02 --> 00:12:05 to try to sing Joe rips man and I was

00:12:05 --> 00:12:07 like man I got it and I would go home

00:12:07 --> 00:12:09 and show off to my big brother that I

00:12:09 --> 00:12:11 learned this song you know of course you

00:12:11 --> 00:12:12 grew up on the new editions of the world

00:12:12 --> 00:12:15 you know all of the great vocals but I

00:12:15 --> 00:12:17 was always you know you know even the

00:12:17 --> 00:12:19 boys boys the men those guys really

00:12:19 --> 00:12:22 could sing um but I was a gospel guy

00:12:23 --> 00:12:25 johnp ke is the goat Pastor John P ke

00:12:25 --> 00:12:28 absolutely yeah I tell people I missed

00:12:28 --> 00:12:30 the whole new edition era because I was

00:12:30 --> 00:12:33 on John P music you know

00:12:33 --> 00:12:36 yeah you know the John P ke of the world

00:12:36 --> 00:12:39 of FR Hammond of the world um the vocal

00:12:39 --> 00:12:42 abilities of guys like zakari cartez um

00:12:42 --> 00:12:44 I really I really love listening to male

00:12:45 --> 00:12:47 singers because I learn more from male

00:12:47 --> 00:12:49 singers than I do from female singers

00:12:49 --> 00:12:52 because you know I don't have the range

00:12:52 --> 00:12:54 of a female so I listen to people that

00:12:54 --> 00:12:56 you know I have the range of and I learn

00:12:56 --> 00:12:59 from from a lot of men who who show

00:12:59 --> 00:13:01 different Showmanship that I can use in

00:13:01 --> 00:13:04 my craft and perfecting it so um I'm a

00:13:04 --> 00:13:07 fan of lots of male vocalists um in

00:13:07 --> 00:13:09 today's society those

00:13:09 --> 00:13:12 in I know you did like I know you worked

00:13:12 --> 00:13:14 with Fred Hammond and stuff like that

00:13:14 --> 00:13:16 how was that for you so I would imagine

00:13:16 --> 00:13:19 you must be a commission a commission uh

00:13:19 --> 00:13:21 fan

00:13:21 --> 00:13:23 absolutely I'm a whole commission fan

00:13:23 --> 00:13:26 grew up on that music so you know it was

00:13:26 --> 00:13:28 a blessing to work with Uncle Fred man

00:13:28 --> 00:13:30 just learning that you know the same

00:13:30 --> 00:13:32 things that I go into the studio and do

00:13:32 --> 00:13:34 he does it as well and he taught me how

00:13:34 --> 00:13:37 to do certain things even how to perfect

00:13:37 --> 00:13:40 My Craft um away from um the music um

00:13:40 --> 00:13:42 people want to know your your lifestyle

00:13:42 --> 00:13:44 you know me and my my wife of two years

00:13:44 --> 00:13:47 we we put some social media content out

00:13:47 --> 00:13:49 and people love it and you know we're in

00:13:49 --> 00:13:51 the process of doing a radio show and

00:13:51 --> 00:13:54 then um different doors will open from

00:13:54 --> 00:13:56 that because you Knowle Fred say you

00:13:56 --> 00:13:58 always want to show um your lifestyle

00:13:58 --> 00:14:00 give people something that they can

00:14:00 --> 00:14:02 attest to they don't just want to know

00:14:02 --> 00:14:04 the the perfect guy on stage they want

00:14:04 --> 00:14:06 to know the guy off stage as well you

00:14:06 --> 00:14:08 know they want to know do you struggle

00:14:08 --> 00:14:10 yes I struggle they want to know do you

00:14:10 --> 00:14:13 get upset yes you know how's your family

00:14:13 --> 00:14:15 like the children your mother and father

00:14:15 --> 00:14:17 so um open them into that aspect of life

00:14:17 --> 00:14:21 and that will also GA even new listeners

00:14:21 --> 00:14:23 to your music so um it was a blessing

00:14:23 --> 00:14:26 just hearing that from a person such as

00:14:26 --> 00:14:28 um his caliber and um you know I'm just

00:14:28 --> 00:14:31 humble to be able to um pick up my phone

00:14:31 --> 00:14:34 and call guys such as Pastor ke Pastor

00:14:34 --> 00:14:36 um Uncle Fred and all of these amazing

00:14:36 --> 00:14:39 or and I'm tit of showers so you know a

00:14:39 --> 00:14:43 humbling experience you know yeah love

00:14:43 --> 00:14:47 it love it so if you could like how

00:14:47 --> 00:14:50 would you say that you use your platform

00:14:50 --> 00:14:53 to to minister to to other people

00:14:53 --> 00:14:54 through your

00:14:54 --> 00:14:57 music um I definitely try to be

00:14:57 --> 00:14:59 relatable um because that's vitally

00:14:59 --> 00:15:01 important because everyone is going

00:15:01 --> 00:15:03 through something everyone have good

00:15:03 --> 00:15:05 days everyone have bad days but at the

00:15:05 --> 00:15:07 end of the day um God is still God and

00:15:07 --> 00:15:10 he can fix anything he specialized in

00:15:10 --> 00:15:12 the impossible and he can do what no

00:15:12 --> 00:15:14 other power can do so my music reminds

00:15:14 --> 00:15:17 everyone of that um that God is is is

00:15:17 --> 00:15:19 still God at the end of the day and if

00:15:19 --> 00:15:21 you turn your problems and situation

00:15:21 --> 00:15:23 over to him he will work it out for you

00:15:23 --> 00:15:26 so that's how I encourage my my my

00:15:26 --> 00:15:29 viewers on my social media platform

00:15:29 --> 00:15:31 and even through music I want to be

00:15:31 --> 00:15:34 relatable yeah does your music ever

00:15:34 --> 00:15:37 minister to you always if it don't

00:15:37 --> 00:15:39 minister to me I can't minister to the

00:15:39 --> 00:15:42 people and so it has to be able to

00:15:42 --> 00:15:44 minister to myself first and definitely

00:15:44 --> 00:15:46 have to be scripture base whereas you

00:15:46 --> 00:15:48 know it has to tell the truth no adding

00:15:48 --> 00:15:50 to the scripture and no taking away from

00:15:50 --> 00:15:52 the scripture because you know my dad

00:15:52 --> 00:15:53 would call me out on it he's a

00:15:53 --> 00:15:56 theologian of the Gospel so if something

00:15:56 --> 00:15:58 that's not lined up um with the word of

00:15:58 --> 00:16:00 God he would say ah son I don't know you

00:16:00 --> 00:16:02 might need to change this and I'm like

00:16:02 --> 00:16:04 yes sir so he's one of my first

00:16:04 --> 00:16:06 listeners so so I know that I'm telling

00:16:06 --> 00:16:10 the truth you know yeah now okay so I

00:16:10 --> 00:16:12 have a I have a odd question ask well I

00:16:12 --> 00:16:14 don't know how odd it is I'm just nosy

00:16:14 --> 00:16:16 like that so if you're ever going

00:16:16 --> 00:16:18 through some some Pro some kind of

00:16:18 --> 00:16:20 problem or up or down ups and downs

00:16:20 --> 00:16:24 or is there particular song that you go

00:16:24 --> 00:16:27 to to to minister yourself whether it be

00:16:27 --> 00:16:29 your song or somebody else's song song

00:16:29 --> 00:16:30 is there a particular song that you go

00:16:30 --> 00:16:34 to absolutely um Travis has this great

00:16:34 --> 00:16:36 record that everyone loves it's called

00:16:36 --> 00:16:39 um you made a way you know um um when

00:16:39 --> 00:16:41 our backs was against the wall and it

00:16:41 --> 00:16:43 looked like it was over lord you stepped

00:16:43 --> 00:16:45 in right on time and made a way so those

00:16:45 --> 00:16:47 type of Records always minister to my

00:16:48 --> 00:16:50 life because I love to get in my car and

00:16:50 --> 00:16:52 let my emotions out I don't like to so

00:16:53 --> 00:16:55 much let it out you know in front of

00:16:55 --> 00:16:57 everyone I love to listen to great music

00:16:57 --> 00:16:59 even if I'm going through heartbroke God

00:16:59 --> 00:17:03 put on some um some all that I am is a

00:17:03 --> 00:17:05 man love with

00:17:05 --> 00:17:09 you yeah you know I put on some Jo I put

00:17:09 --> 00:17:11 you know if I want to sing to my wife I

00:17:11 --> 00:17:13 put on some you know different music

00:17:13 --> 00:17:15 that brings emotion to me you know so

00:17:15 --> 00:17:18 I'm a I'm an emotional guy that that

00:17:18 --> 00:17:21 express it that expresses it to himself

00:17:21 --> 00:17:23 and then I can relate to other people so

00:17:23 --> 00:17:25 I have certain songs that that's my

00:17:25 --> 00:17:29 go-to so everyone does you know what is

00:17:29 --> 00:17:31 it about the car though because every

00:17:31 --> 00:17:33 everybody had you know everybody when

00:17:33 --> 00:17:34 they going through something they they

00:17:34 --> 00:17:37 sit in the car for about thir minutes

00:17:37 --> 00:17:39 it's something about the ride it's a

00:17:39 --> 00:17:41 blessing to take a ride and listen to

00:17:41 --> 00:17:44 great music and um you know with these

00:17:44 --> 00:17:46 earphones these days in time too I can

00:17:46 --> 00:17:49 just um sit in the restroom or or go in

00:17:49 --> 00:17:51 my secret closet and listen to it and

00:17:52 --> 00:17:53 and cry I remember one time when we

00:17:53 --> 00:17:55 first me and my wife first got married

00:17:55 --> 00:17:58 um cardi came out with zardi came out

00:17:58 --> 00:18:00 with a great record and whenever a

00:18:00 --> 00:18:02 record comes out and it ministers to me

00:18:02 --> 00:18:04 I keep it on repeat and I just look back

00:18:04 --> 00:18:07 over my life and and I was crying and

00:18:07 --> 00:18:09 she came in her to check on me I was

00:18:09 --> 00:18:11 like man I'm just in the spirit you know

00:18:11 --> 00:18:14 it's like yeah moments occur just hits

00:18:14 --> 00:18:16 me and I love those moments because I

00:18:16 --> 00:18:20 can reflect I can also release but I can

00:18:20 --> 00:18:22 also be reminded that help is on the way

00:18:22 --> 00:18:25 and the helper is already there and his

00:18:25 --> 00:18:27 name is Jesus amen that's that's how I

00:18:27 --> 00:18:30 do it all right so tell us about your

00:18:30 --> 00:18:33 new single uh savus tell us about that

00:18:33 --> 00:18:35 how did that come about absolutely it's

00:18:35 --> 00:18:38 an afro be record very um catered to the

00:18:38 --> 00:18:41 Nigerian um people over there in Nigeria

00:18:41 --> 00:18:44 our producer who produced it is from

00:18:44 --> 00:18:48 Nigeria his name is me um and I'm so ex

00:18:48 --> 00:18:50 excited about the record we created it

00:18:50 --> 00:18:53 in Philadelphia in April of 23 um the

00:18:53 --> 00:18:57 record was um guttering some great great

00:18:57 --> 00:19:00 um cultural um experiences for a lot of

00:19:00 --> 00:19:02 people they danc to it as well and he

00:19:03 --> 00:19:05 was like bro not many gospel orders have

00:19:05 --> 00:19:08 records that cater um to my to my um

00:19:08 --> 00:19:11 culture and to my you know to my country

00:19:11 --> 00:19:13 and would you be um um would you be

00:19:13 --> 00:19:15 interested in doing something um that

00:19:15 --> 00:19:18 can um G her more attention overseas I

00:19:18 --> 00:19:20 was like man yes I want to go to your

00:19:20 --> 00:19:22 country and we want to make it happen

00:19:22 --> 00:19:23 and um we created the record in the

00:19:24 --> 00:19:27 studio with the producer man um Jeremy

00:19:27 --> 00:19:30 Boyd Out of Philly and I was excited um

00:19:30 --> 00:19:32 to even Minister those words because

00:19:32 --> 00:19:34 it's powerful words because we need

00:19:34 --> 00:19:36 saving like never before and only Jesus

00:19:36 --> 00:19:38 can really do that you know we can't

00:19:38 --> 00:19:40 depend on the government we can't depend

00:19:40 --> 00:19:42 on family and friends at all times but

00:19:42 --> 00:19:45 we always can depend on him and um and

00:19:45 --> 00:19:48 we can't never get weary in waiting on

00:19:48 --> 00:19:51 him because he always show up on time

00:19:51 --> 00:19:53 that's right that's right now are there

00:19:54 --> 00:19:56 any um other projects that you have

00:19:56 --> 00:19:58 coming up after save us or is there

00:19:58 --> 00:20:01 album coming out after this the album is

00:20:01 --> 00:20:02 ready to be released to the world so

00:20:02 --> 00:20:06 we're releasing some singles in the dsps

00:20:06 --> 00:20:08 um for the people to stream and purchase

00:20:08 --> 00:20:10 right now so we're on our um this will

00:20:10 --> 00:20:14 be the second um record from the album

00:20:14 --> 00:20:17 the album is complete and um we're

00:20:17 --> 00:20:18 getting ready to release the album we're

00:20:18 --> 00:20:22 going to work with the pr team Mr Eric

00:20:22 --> 00:20:24 we're g to work with my my label and

00:20:24 --> 00:20:27 come up with a date where we can um um

00:20:27 --> 00:20:29 release the whole album I have great

00:20:29 --> 00:20:31 records on it I'm excited about it um a

00:20:31 --> 00:20:34 record entitled we made it and the album

00:20:34 --> 00:20:36 is entitled we made it um it speaks

00:20:36 --> 00:20:38 about you know um my mom who went

00:20:38 --> 00:20:41 through um 15 surgeries of partial liver

00:20:41 --> 00:20:44 transplant and how the Lord brought her

00:20:44 --> 00:20:46 through all of that um you know it just

00:20:46 --> 00:20:48 speaks about that testimony and it's an

00:20:48 --> 00:20:51 emotional record and everyone can relate

00:20:51 --> 00:20:53 to anything that happened to your life

00:20:53 --> 00:20:55 you made it out of you know he woke us

00:20:55 --> 00:20:57 up this this morning we made it to see a

00:20:57 --> 00:21:00 new day so it's very applicable song to

00:21:00 --> 00:21:02 everyone you know and I'm excited to

00:21:02 --> 00:21:04 share with the world this great album of

00:21:04 --> 00:21:07 content creation that was done I'm

00:21:07 --> 00:21:09 excited about it and I can't wait for

00:22:27 --> 00:22:30 know um man and then you got to think

00:22:30 --> 00:22:34 about Michael Jacks oh my God you put

00:22:34 --> 00:22:35 some

00:22:35 --> 00:22:39 hard hard well well it's not really hard

00:22:39 --> 00:22:41 because you know those guys are very

00:22:41 --> 00:22:43 instrumental to me you know um the

00:22:43 --> 00:22:45 Michael Jackson of the world so let's

00:22:45 --> 00:22:47 just say Mike since you said living or

00:22:47 --> 00:22:49 dead let's just say Michael Jackson yes

00:22:49 --> 00:22:51 ma'am it would have been nice because I

00:22:51 --> 00:22:53 don't think he would have been nice if

00:22:53 --> 00:22:55 he had did like a gospel

00:22:55 --> 00:22:57 collaboration right right that would

00:22:57 --> 00:22:59 have been

00:22:59 --> 00:23:01 and look at all the messages he already

00:23:01 --> 00:23:03 have in his songs that's right just

00:23:03 --> 00:23:06 imagine messages that can be relatable

00:23:06 --> 00:23:08 to um everyone all over the world so you

00:23:09 --> 00:23:11 know I you know that that would have

00:23:11 --> 00:23:13 been magical you know that's right I

00:23:13 --> 00:23:15 might need the sample something then are

00:23:15 --> 00:23:17 you right there you go they okay that's
