00:00:10 --> 00:00:12 Well, the the jewelry is now being
00:00:12 --> 00:00:15 picked. Come on in. Let's talk about
00:00:15 --> 00:00:17 This is the Demia Avery Show hosted by
00:00:18 --> 00:00:20 Deia Avery, where some of your favorite

00:00:25 --> 00:00:32 talents.
00:00:32 --> 00:00:33 Hello, hello, hello everyone. This is
00:00:33 --> 00:00:36 Deia Avery of the Demia Avery Show.
00:00:36 --> 00:00:37 Thank you once again for joining me on
00:00:37 --> 00:00:40 today's entertainment report. You know
00:00:40 --> 00:00:41 what to do. If you're on YouTube, hit
00:00:42 --> 00:00:44 that subscribe button, like and share.
00:00:44 --> 00:00:46 If you're anywhere else, hit that like
00:00:46 --> 00:00:48 and share button. So, we got a lot to
00:00:48 --> 00:00:50 report today, and I'm happy about it
00:00:50 --> 00:00:52 because it's been kind of slow. It's the
00:00:52 --> 00:00:54 same old stories over and over again,
00:00:54 --> 00:00:56 but we got a few more interesting things
00:00:56 --> 00:00:58 today. So, we're going to get right into
00:00:58 --> 00:01:01 it. But before we get into some new
00:01:02 --> 00:01:03 stuff, we're going to uh talk a little
00:01:03 --> 00:01:07 bit about the Diddy thing. So, you know,
00:01:07 --> 00:01:12 today uh starts the Diddy trial. Well,
00:01:12 --> 00:01:14 sort of. Well, the picking the uh
00:01:14 --> 00:01:18 jewelry. So, that starts today. And I
00:01:18 --> 00:01:21 hear according to news sources that
00:01:21 --> 00:01:23 they're going to have a tough time
00:01:23 --> 00:01:24 finding
00:01:24 --> 00:01:28 um unbiased jurors. And I can understand
00:01:28 --> 00:01:32 why because I think a lot of the times
00:01:32 --> 00:01:34 um well not a lot of the times I think
00:01:34 --> 00:01:36 that people already kind of made up
00:01:36 --> 00:01:39 their minds. I don't know most people
00:01:39 --> 00:01:41 because of course, you know, it's in
00:01:41 --> 00:01:45 innocent until uh proven guilty,
00:01:45 --> 00:01:49 but most people that I know that I've
00:01:49 --> 00:01:51 talked to already kind of made up their
00:01:51 --> 00:01:53 mind. Either they're saying he's 100%
00:01:53 --> 00:01:54 guilty
00:01:54 --> 00:01:59 um or he is uh is innocent and they're
00:01:59 --> 00:02:01 they feel like they're just trying to
00:02:01 --> 00:02:05 take down uh another uh black man. I
00:02:05 --> 00:02:07 mean, I'm just going to say it. they're
00:02:07 --> 00:02:08 just trying to take down
00:02:08 --> 00:02:12 another rich black man. Or I've heard
00:02:12 --> 00:02:16 some people say that I believe that he
00:02:16 --> 00:02:20 did a lot of those crimes, but I don't
00:02:20 --> 00:02:24 believe that he did all of them. And I
00:02:24 --> 00:02:26 I'm on the borderline of that. I'm gonna
00:02:26 --> 00:02:29 be honest with you. I think he did quite
00:02:29 --> 00:02:33 a bit. I think he did quite a bit. And I
00:02:33 --> 00:02:36 think, you know, the feds usually
00:02:36 --> 00:02:39 won't go this far if they didn't have
00:02:39 --> 00:02:41 evidence evidence to prove that you did
00:02:41 --> 00:02:44 something. So, I think he in my opinion
00:02:44 --> 00:02:47 I I'm pretty sure that he did a lot of
00:02:47 --> 00:02:51 that. Now, it was so many cases against
00:02:51 --> 00:02:54 him and I think some of that was
00:02:54 --> 00:02:57 probably money grabs and and things like
00:02:57 --> 00:03:00 that, but I do think he's done enough
00:03:00 --> 00:03:03 for him to get jail time. So that's just
00:03:03 --> 00:03:06 my opinion, but you know, like I said,
00:03:06 --> 00:03:08 there are people that have difference
00:03:08 --> 00:03:12 differences of opinions and it's okay to
00:03:12 --> 00:03:14 have differences of opinions, but I do
00:03:14 --> 00:03:17 think that it it's going to be difficult
00:03:17 --> 00:03:20 to find an unbiased jewelry. And then
00:03:20 --> 00:03:23 especially after that Cassie recording
00:03:23 --> 00:03:26 that was broadcasted everywhere.
00:03:27 --> 00:03:30 Um that I think he hurt himself really
00:03:30 --> 00:03:34 bad with that because he was denying
00:03:34 --> 00:03:36 denying denying I didn't do these things
00:03:36 --> 00:03:39 yada yada yada. And it was like the next
00:03:39 --> 00:03:41 day or the couple of days after we saw
00:03:41 --> 00:03:43 that video that he didn't do anything to
00:03:43 --> 00:03:48 Cassie. So it made him look like he
00:03:48 --> 00:03:51 could be a liar. You know, it it made
00:03:51 --> 00:03:53 him look like, okay, I wanted to believe
00:03:53 --> 00:03:56 you, Puff, but you know, you said this
00:03:56 --> 00:04:00 wasn't this, and then not even a minute
00:04:00 --> 00:04:02 later, we sitting up here watching the
00:04:02 --> 00:04:05 video. So
00:04:05 --> 00:04:08 that made it real for a lot of people
00:04:08 --> 00:04:10 that says, "Yeah, well, he could have
00:04:10 --> 00:04:12 possibly done these things because you
00:04:12 --> 00:04:14 sat up there and you played in our
00:04:14 --> 00:04:17 faces." So, it's it's going to be a
00:04:17 --> 00:04:19 trip. I'm really interested. I don't
00:04:19 --> 00:04:22 think the actual trial starts until the
00:04:22 --> 00:04:25 12th, I believe. Correct me if I'm
00:04:25 --> 00:04:26 wrong. Put it in the comments, but I
00:04:26 --> 00:04:29 think it starts on the 12th um when the
00:04:29 --> 00:04:32 actual trial starts. But this is going
00:04:32 --> 00:04:34 to be really really really really
00:04:34 --> 00:04:40 interesting to to see. So uh you know it
00:04:40 --> 00:04:42 is what it is. We're going to see how
00:04:42 --> 00:04:45 this all plays out. So let's go on to
00:04:45 --> 00:04:48 our next story. And by the way, you're
00:04:48 --> 00:04:49 going to hear a lot of Diddy news
00:04:49 --> 00:04:51 because that's going to be the thing
00:04:51 --> 00:04:55 right now. So forgive me. I I really
00:04:55 --> 00:04:57 don't like doing news because that's all
00:04:58 --> 00:05:00 that it has been for quite a while.
00:05:00 --> 00:05:04 And um but that's what's in the news so
00:05:04 --> 00:05:07 I have to report it. So just you know
00:05:07 --> 00:05:12 bear with me. So this next story is is
00:05:12 --> 00:05:15 kind of crazy. Uh Lady Gaga did a a
00:05:15 --> 00:05:20 concert over in um where was this? In
00:05:20 --> 00:05:24 Brazil and in Rio de Janeiro and she did
00:05:24 --> 00:05:26 a concert and everything. And after the
00:05:26 --> 00:05:29 concert, she was informed that there was
00:05:29 --> 00:05:31 actually a
00:05:31 --> 00:05:35 um a threat uh I don't want to say a
00:05:35 --> 00:05:38 boom threat. I'll say that because
00:05:38 --> 00:05:41 YouTube be tripping. So So there was an
00:05:41 --> 00:05:45 actual threat there and it was a plot.
00:05:45 --> 00:05:48 Um it apparently there was a plot. It
00:05:48 --> 00:05:50 wasn't just something that happened that
00:05:50 --> 00:05:54 day. So, um, TMZ reports, let me just
00:05:54 --> 00:05:57 see what they said. The cops didn't say
00:05:57 --> 00:06:00 anything to Lady Gaga or her team about
00:06:00 --> 00:06:01 it. So, she's up there performing and
00:06:02 --> 00:06:03 everything. Didn't know all this stuff.
00:06:03 --> 00:06:06 And they didn't find out until uh the
00:06:06 --> 00:06:08 media reported about it. So, I know that
00:06:08 --> 00:06:10 must have been a trip. Like, you know,
00:06:10 --> 00:06:12 y'all not going to tell
00:06:12 --> 00:06:14 me. So, I guess maybe they figure they
00:06:14 --> 00:06:16 had it under
00:06:16 --> 00:06:19 control, you know. But it says uh police
00:06:19 --> 00:06:21 in Brazil claimed they disrupted a
00:06:21 --> 00:06:25 violent plot to uh detonate explosives
00:06:25 --> 00:06:28 at Lady Gaga's free concert that drew an
00:06:28 --> 00:06:30 estimated 2 million fans in Rio de
00:06:30 --> 00:06:34 Janeiro over the weekend. It says the uh
00:06:34 --> 00:06:38 police there were uh arrested two people
00:06:38 --> 00:06:40 on Sunday in connection with alleged
00:06:40 --> 00:06:42 planned attack which was reportedly
00:06:42 --> 00:06:44 planned by a radicalized group that
00:06:44 --> 00:06:48 promoted hate speech is against LGBTQ
00:06:48 --> 00:06:51 plus community. Um the official said the
00:06:51 --> 00:06:53 group had been attempting to recruit
00:06:53 --> 00:06:56 teenagers online. So they I guess they
00:06:56 --> 00:06:58 were tipped by this encouraging them to
00:06:58 --> 00:07:02 participate in a in violent acts using
00:07:02 --> 00:07:06 Moloto Molotov cocktails and homemade
00:07:06 --> 00:07:09 explosives. Investigate investigators
00:07:09 --> 00:07:11 said members of the group posted as
00:07:11 --> 00:07:13 little monsters, the affectionate name
00:07:13 --> 00:07:16 for Lady Gaga's fan base in order to
00:07:16 --> 00:07:18 manipulate and lure young people into
00:07:18 --> 00:07:21 this uh online circle. So that's the
00:07:21 --> 00:07:24 trip. The uh suspects were taken in a
00:07:24 --> 00:07:26 charge taken in on charges of illegal
00:07:26 --> 00:07:30 weapons possession. Police operation
00:07:30 --> 00:07:32 involved raids across multiple states
00:07:32 --> 00:07:34 and the seizure of phones and electronic
00:07:34 --> 00:07:37 devices from 15 people believed to be
00:07:37 --> 00:07:39 connected to the plot. So they had a
00:07:39 --> 00:07:42 whole little operation thing going on um
00:07:42 --> 00:07:44 for this. So I don't know if it's just
00:07:44 --> 00:07:48 was it aimed towards Lady Gaga herself?
00:07:48 --> 00:07:52 It wasn't clear to me or it was just to
00:07:52 --> 00:07:56 hurt people out in the audience.
00:07:56 --> 00:08:00 Um, I don't know, but it again it was
00:08:00 --> 00:08:05 directed to the uh LGBTQ plus community.
00:08:05 --> 00:08:07 So, I know that had to been a trip for
00:08:07 --> 00:08:09 Lady Gaga, but I'm glad every they
00:08:09 --> 00:08:13 caught them, everybody was safe, and you
00:08:13 --> 00:08:17 know, anyways, moving on. I want to uh
00:08:17 --> 00:08:21 do a big shout out to Andre 3000 once
00:08:21 --> 00:08:23 again. And this time it's different from
00:08:23 --> 00:08:26 the Rock and Roll Rock and Roll Hall of
00:08:26 --> 00:08:29 Fame award that him and Big Boy
00:08:29 --> 00:08:32 um received for the induction there. It
00:08:32 --> 00:08:36 is actually Andre 3000 is receiving an
00:08:36 --> 00:08:39 honorary doctorate degree from Berkeley
00:08:39 --> 00:08:42 College on May, what is it? May 10th.
00:08:42 --> 00:08:44 That is awesome. That's awesome. They
00:08:44 --> 00:08:47 must be having the time of their
00:08:47 --> 00:08:50 life. They must be having the time of
00:08:50 --> 00:08:53 their life. Awesome. Welld deserved on
00:08:53 --> 00:08:56 that. Welld deserved on that. I love
00:08:56 --> 00:08:58 when good things happen to good people
00:08:58 --> 00:08:59 because you don't never hear anything
00:08:59 --> 00:09:02 bad coming out of the outcast camp. You
00:09:02 --> 00:09:05 just don't. At least I haven't. And all
00:09:05 --> 00:09:07 you hear is when they, you know, when
00:09:07 --> 00:09:08 they finally get a something coming out,
00:09:08 --> 00:09:11 just some good music, you know. So
00:09:11 --> 00:09:15 that's awesome. Congratulations, Andre
00:09:15 --> 00:09:19 3000. So, this past weekend, I think
00:09:19 --> 00:09:22 maybe Friday or Saturday, Erica
00:09:22 --> 00:09:24 Alexander and Kim Kohl's from Living
00:09:24 --> 00:09:27 Single, they announced that they have a
00:09:27 --> 00:09:29 new podcast coming out on YouTube, and
00:09:29 --> 00:09:32 I'm excited about it. I really am. Um,
00:09:32 --> 00:09:34 it's for all you Living Singles fans. I
00:09:34 --> 00:09:37 was, and I still am a Living Singles
00:09:37 --> 00:09:41 fan. like I would um go and I would
00:09:41 --> 00:09:43 still watch the reruns and I know every
00:09:43 --> 00:09:45 line, every words and every all the
00:09:45 --> 00:09:48 words and but I still laugh at a lot of
00:09:48 --> 00:09:50 the stuff. And
00:09:50 --> 00:09:53 then Erica Alexander played Max and she
00:09:53 --> 00:09:55 was just the funniest. All of them were
00:09:55 --> 00:09:57 funny. All of them had had their own
00:09:57 --> 00:10:00 roles and played their own roles. I
00:10:01 --> 00:10:05 thought her role was exceptional. I
00:10:05 --> 00:10:09 think she's an amazing amazing actress.
00:10:09 --> 00:10:12 I do. And I to be honest with you, I
00:10:12 --> 00:10:15 thought she deserved an Emmy for her
00:10:15 --> 00:10:19 portrayal of Maxine Shaw. I just thought
00:10:19 --> 00:10:22 she was just great. And I heard her on
00:10:22 --> 00:10:24 the Breakfast Club and they were talking
00:10:24 --> 00:10:27 about, you know, she should have won an
00:10:27 --> 00:10:30 Emmy and all that other kind of stuff.
00:10:30 --> 00:10:32 But what was shocking to me is that she
00:10:32 --> 00:10:36 had never She said she didn't receive
00:10:36 --> 00:10:37 any
00:10:37 --> 00:10:41 offers after living single. I couldn't
00:10:41 --> 00:10:46 believe that. I could not believe that.
00:10:46 --> 00:10:48 But we'll get back to that. But
00:10:48 --> 00:10:51 anyway, so their uh podcast is going to
00:10:51 --> 00:10:54 be called Reliving Single, which is
00:10:54 --> 00:10:56 cute. Um, they say that it's a
00:10:56 --> 00:10:58 multi-geneneral conversation that
00:10:58 --> 00:11:01 remains evergreen because of the love of
00:11:01 --> 00:11:03 our fans for us and the show and they
00:11:04 --> 00:11:06 want more. So, they put together an
00:11:06 --> 00:11:09 all-star lineup to reminisce, drop line
00:11:09 --> 00:11:11 life lesson gems, and give a master
00:11:11 --> 00:11:14 class on comedy and show biz. They said
00:11:14 --> 00:11:16 you'll hear stories you've never heard
00:11:16 --> 00:11:18 before. But the best part of the rewatch
00:11:18 --> 00:11:21 series is on screen. She they say Kim
00:11:21 --> 00:11:25 and I like a pair of vampires aged ain't
00:11:25 --> 00:11:28 aged a day. So that is pretty
00:11:28 --> 00:11:31 cool. You know what? I always thought um
00:11:31 --> 00:11:34 Erica Alexander looked like
00:11:35 --> 00:11:37 Lepita. I always thought and I'm going
00:11:37 --> 00:11:39 to I'm put these pictures up side by
00:11:39 --> 00:11:41 side. See what y'all think. If you've
00:11:41 --> 00:11:43 never thought about that, I think they
00:11:43 --> 00:11:45 were talking about that a long time ago,
00:11:45 --> 00:11:47 but I just wanted to bring it back up. I
00:11:47 --> 00:11:51 thought that they look very similar. I
00:11:51 --> 00:11:54 think, you know, but anyway, beautiful,
00:11:54 --> 00:11:57 beautiful. I'm glad to hear it. I would
00:11:57 --> 00:11:59 love if if they brought all the cast
00:11:59 --> 00:12:02 members on the podcast and they talk
00:12:02 --> 00:12:07 about everything. Um T TC Carson, um his
00:12:07 --> 00:12:11 role as Kyle and of course, I know he's
00:12:11 --> 00:12:13 been on podcast before and he's talked
00:12:13 --> 00:12:16 about him getting fired from the show.
00:12:16 --> 00:12:18 So, it would be nice to hear them uh
00:12:18 --> 00:12:22 talk again more about what happened, but
00:12:22 --> 00:12:25 it but it's also great to it would be
00:12:26 --> 00:12:29 great to just see them get together and
00:12:29 --> 00:12:31 and
00:12:31 --> 00:12:35 just reminisce and also just see the the
00:12:35 --> 00:12:37 closeness that they supposedly or
00:12:37 --> 00:12:40 allegedly have.
00:12:40 --> 00:12:43 Um that just brings a good time uh good
00:12:43 --> 00:12:46 time, good memories. So, I'm all for it.
00:12:46 --> 00:12:49 I'm going to I'm going to definitely
00:12:49 --> 00:12:52 watch and listen to their show on
00:12:52 --> 00:12:54 podcast. So, again, it comes out on May
00:12:54 --> 00:12:57 7th on YouTube and that's going to be
00:12:57 --> 00:13:00 exciting times for all u of us living
00:13:00 --> 00:13:04 single fingers. Okay, speaking of Queen
00:13:04 --> 00:13:07 Latifah, if you have yet to
00:13:07 --> 00:13:11 hear, for all of you Equalizer fans, the
00:13:11 --> 00:13:14 drama series has been
00:13:14 --> 00:13:17 cancelled. Um, they said the ratings for
00:13:17 --> 00:13:20 the series has dropped. It went down,
00:13:20 --> 00:13:23 they say after the uh its runtime
00:13:23 --> 00:13:25 shifted to a later hour on Sunday
00:13:26 --> 00:13:28 nights. That makes so much of a
00:13:28 --> 00:13:32 difference. So apparently because um
00:13:32 --> 00:13:36 when that shifted the uh the ratings
00:13:36 --> 00:13:39 went down. So that's too bad because it
00:13:40 --> 00:13:45 went five seasons and um that's that's
00:13:45 --> 00:13:48 quite a feat, you know, and
00:13:48 --> 00:13:51 apparently they said, "Well, we got to
00:13:51 --> 00:13:52 let it go cuz people weren't watching
00:13:52 --> 00:13:54 anymore."
00:13:54 --> 00:13:56 So, Queen Latifah praised the amazing
00:13:56 --> 00:13:58 cast, producers, and writers of the show
00:13:58 --> 00:14:00 while also thanking the fans for their
00:14:00 --> 00:14:03 support over its five season run. She
00:14:03 --> 00:14:05 said, "Y'all have been so loyal, so
00:14:05 --> 00:14:07 loud, and so ride or die, and that's
00:14:07 --> 00:14:09 exactly why we keep doing this. We can't
00:14:09 --> 00:14:11 thank you enough. It means the world to
00:14:11 --> 00:14:14 us," she said. And then she also teased
00:14:14 --> 00:14:15 that that she's going to be coming out
00:14:16 --> 00:14:18 with something else soon. So, Queen
00:14:18 --> 00:14:20 Latifah is is just an awesome
00:14:20 --> 00:14:23 entrepreneur and she's she's just great.
00:14:23 --> 00:14:25 So, whatever she comes out with next,
00:14:25 --> 00:14:27 it's just going to be just as just as
00:14:27 --> 00:14:30 great. So, I'm looking forward to that.
00:14:30 --> 00:14:33 But, I am uh sad for all of you
00:14:33 --> 00:14:37 fans. Um, I got to talk about this. I
00:14:38 --> 00:14:40 don't really want to talk about politics
00:14:40 --> 00:14:43 on this show, but it's it's this is
00:14:43 --> 00:14:46 related to the entertainment industry,
00:14:46 --> 00:14:48 so I really won't give an opinion, but
00:14:48 --> 00:14:51 I'll just state the facts. So apparently
00:14:51 --> 00:14:54 over the weekend, um I think this must
00:14:54 --> 00:14:57 have happened yesterday and I'll just
00:14:57 --> 00:14:59 read what I got from news sources. So it
00:14:59 --> 00:15:02 says the industry reacts to Trump's
00:15:02 --> 00:15:05 insane movie tariff threat. This would
00:15:05 --> 00:15:09 destroy the independent film sector. So
00:15:09 --> 00:15:12 that's what the headline says here. Um,
00:15:12 --> 00:15:14 the US international film sectors are
00:15:14 --> 00:15:17 reeling after Donald Trump's
00:15:17 --> 00:15:18 announcement last night that he is
00:15:18 --> 00:15:21 authorizing the Department of Commerce
00:15:21 --> 00:15:22 and the United States Trade
00:15:22 --> 00:15:27 Representative to impose a 100% tariff
00:15:27 --> 00:15:29 on any and all movies produced in
00:15:29 --> 00:15:33 foreign lands. Um, in a message posted
00:15:33 --> 00:15:35 posted to Truth Social, Trump described
00:15:35 --> 00:15:37 foreign productions as a national
00:15:37 --> 00:15:40 security threat to the US industry,
00:15:40 --> 00:15:42 adding that they draw filmmakers
00:15:42 --> 00:15:44 overseas, but also bringing bring
00:15:44 --> 00:15:46 messaging and propaganda into the
00:15:46 --> 00:15:48 country. The threat, while seemingly
00:15:48 --> 00:15:51 embionic and lacking in any detail, has
00:15:51 --> 00:15:53 sent shock waves through the US and
00:15:53 --> 00:15:56 international film sectors. the impact
00:15:56 --> 00:15:58 should anything close to come to pass
00:15:58 --> 00:16:02 would be uh seesmic on the global film
00:16:02 --> 00:16:05 sector. And then of course you have
00:16:05 --> 00:16:07 Gavin Newsome saying that you know Trump
00:16:07 --> 00:16:10 has no authority to impose 100 movie
00:16:10 --> 00:16:12 tariffs. I don't know if he does or he
00:16:12 --> 00:16:15 doesn't but I don't I don't see what the
00:16:16 --> 00:16:19 threat is because if there was in my
00:16:19 --> 00:16:21 opinion if there was a threat wouldn't
00:16:21 --> 00:16:25 we have known that by now? I don't know.
00:16:25 --> 00:16:28 But regardless of what my opinion is, I
00:16:28 --> 00:16:30 just wanted to put the news out
00:16:30 --> 00:16:35 there and um it is what it is. So that
00:16:35 --> 00:16:39 is it for today's news. Again, make sure
00:16:39 --> 00:16:41 you uh subscribe to the channel and I
00:16:41 --> 00:16:45 will talk to you later. Bye-bye.
