00:00:44 --> 00:00:47 Dawn Rashard says she worked for Diddy
00:00:47 --> 00:00:50 uh from 2004 to 2011.
00:00:50 --> 00:00:53 Uh Rashard, the former Danny Kane
00:00:53 --> 00:00:54 singer, said she knew Combmes by the
00:00:54 --> 00:00:57 nickname Puff and pointed to him to
00:00:57 --> 00:00:59 identify him in the courtroom when
00:00:59 --> 00:01:02 asked. Rashard says she saw Cassie
00:01:02 --> 00:01:04 Ventur being attacked by Shawn Combmes
00:01:04 --> 00:01:08 in 2009. He came downstairs screaming,
00:01:08 --> 00:01:11 belligerent, asking where his food was,
00:01:11 --> 00:01:12 proceeded to hit her over the head,
00:01:12 --> 00:01:14 kicked her, and beat her to the ground
00:01:14 --> 00:01:17 in front of us, she testified. Leading
00:01:17 --> 00:01:20 up to alleged assault in 2009, Rashard
00:01:20 --> 00:01:22 was in the kitchen when Ventur, who was
00:01:22 --> 00:01:25 cooking eggs, she said Combmes came
00:01:25 --> 00:01:26 downstairs and demanded to know where
00:01:26 --> 00:01:30 his eggs were. Rashard testified. Um, I
00:01:30 --> 00:01:31 kind of went over this on the first one,
00:01:31 --> 00:01:34 but stay with me. He proceeded to come
00:01:34 --> 00:01:35 over to her and took the skillet with
00:01:35 --> 00:01:37 the eggs in it and tried to hit her over
00:01:37 --> 00:01:41 the head with it, and she fell to the
00:01:41 --> 00:01:43 ground. She said it didn't seem that it
00:01:43 --> 00:01:46 hit her fully. Rashard added, saying it
00:01:46 --> 00:01:48 seemed like Ventur dropped to the ground
00:01:48 --> 00:01:51 because she anticipated the hit. She
00:01:51 --> 00:01:53 went into a fetal position. So, we got
00:01:53 --> 00:01:56 some clarity on that. Anyway, goes on to
00:01:56 --> 00:01:59 say, uh, former Danny K member Dawn
00:01:59 --> 00:02:01 Rashard testified that after she
00:02:01 --> 00:02:03 witnessed the altercation in the
00:02:03 --> 00:02:05 kitchen, Sha Diddy Combmes dragged
00:02:05 --> 00:02:09 Cassie Ventur upstairs by her hair, his
00:02:09 --> 00:02:12 arm around her neck. She says she heard
00:02:12 --> 00:02:15 glass breaking and yelling from
00:02:15 --> 00:02:17 upstairs. Uh, Rashard said she didn't
00:02:17 --> 00:02:20 say anything to intervene or call the
00:02:20 --> 00:02:23 police because she was afraid. She said
00:02:23 --> 00:02:25 she was scared to do anything in fear or
00:02:25 --> 00:02:29 what might mean for herself. Um the
00:02:29 --> 00:02:31 judge dismissed the jury for the day,
00:02:31 --> 00:02:33 telling them the parties would stay
00:02:33 --> 00:02:36 behind to work after calling a sidebar
00:02:36 --> 00:02:39 over a defense objection to former Danny
00:02:39 --> 00:02:41 Decay and singer uh Dawn Rashard's
00:02:41 --> 00:02:44 description of Diddy Comb's threats.
00:02:44 --> 00:02:46 Listen y'all, you think it's over, but
00:02:46 --> 00:02:49 it's not. Hold on. Hold on. Um
00:02:49 --> 00:02:52 afterwards, prosecutors and the defense
00:02:52 --> 00:02:54 attorneys, they had like a discussion.
00:02:54 --> 00:02:58 They had a pow-wow because
00:02:58 --> 00:03:02 um because of uh Dawn's testimony. They
00:03:02 --> 00:03:04 said earlier the judge indicated that
00:03:04 --> 00:03:06 they would sidebar over a defense
00:03:06 --> 00:03:08 objection like they were saying to
00:03:08 --> 00:03:10 Rashard's description of threats Combmes
00:03:10 --> 00:03:13 made. Just before the judge dismissed
00:03:13 --> 00:03:14 the jury for the day, Rashard, who
00:03:14 --> 00:03:17 worked for Combmes in the mid 2000s,
00:03:17 --> 00:03:19 testified that ha after she and another
00:03:20 --> 00:03:23 woman saw Combmes attack Cassie Ventura,
00:03:23 --> 00:03:25 he encouraged them not to say anything
00:03:25 --> 00:03:28 about the assault. The next day, Combmes
00:03:28 --> 00:03:30 asked Rashard and the other woman, which
00:03:30 --> 00:03:33 is Kina Harper, to come to his home. He
00:03:33 --> 00:03:36 brought them into a recording studio,
00:03:36 --> 00:03:39 locked the door, and told them that what
00:03:39 --> 00:03:41 they witnessed was passion, and that's
00:03:41 --> 00:03:45 what lovers do. Um, Richard testified.
00:03:45 --> 00:03:48 Combmes then told him it was in their
00:03:48 --> 00:03:50 best interest that they didn't say
00:03:50 --> 00:03:53 anything and that where he comes from,
00:03:53 --> 00:03:57 people go missing if they talk. Richard
00:03:57 --> 00:03:59 testified. He then gave them flowers.
00:03:59 --> 00:04:04 That's some old uh old Scarface stuff.
00:04:04 --> 00:04:07 So, they are adjourned for the day and
00:04:07 --> 00:04:09 we're going to hear, I'm sure, more
00:04:09 --> 00:04:12 about this um coming Monday. So, that's
