00:00:17 --> 00:00:19 testimony. It was very important that
00:00:20 --> 00:00:21 she showed up. I thought that they were
00:00:22 --> 00:00:24 going to get her good, but it looks like
00:00:24 --> 00:00:26 uh the defense had a little bit of
00:00:26 --> 00:00:30 trouble um with her. So, I'm going to
00:00:30 --> 00:00:34 read what I found and um see what you
00:00:34 --> 00:00:37 guys think about how it worked out. So,

00:00:45 --> 00:00:49 Ventura to identify Diddy in a photo and
00:00:49 --> 00:00:52 explain how she knew him. Uh Regina
00:00:52 --> 00:00:54 says, "He dated my daughter." Regina
00:00:54 --> 00:00:57 said she first met Combmes in 2006 when
00:00:57 --> 00:00:59 her daughter Cassie signed with Combmes
00:01:00 --> 00:01:02 record label, Bad Boy Records. Regina
00:01:02 --> 00:01:04 said when her daughter and Combmes
00:01:04 --> 00:01:06 started dating in New York City, she'd
00:01:06 --> 00:01:07 see her daughter about three or four
00:01:07 --> 00:01:10 times a year. When Cassie moved to
00:01:10 --> 00:01:12 California with Diddy, Regina said she
00:01:12 --> 00:01:14 saw her less frequently, usually around
00:01:14 --> 00:01:17 the holidays. It was harder to get to
00:01:17 --> 00:01:20 her. Regina Ventur said, um, prosecutors
00:01:20 --> 00:01:22 have said Combmes ran a criminal
00:01:22 --> 00:01:24 racketeering enterprise in which he and
00:01:24 --> 00:01:27 some in his inner circle coerced women
00:01:27 --> 00:01:30 into participating in drugfueled SMMEX
00:01:30 --> 00:01:33 performances he called freakoffs. Uh,
00:01:33 --> 00:01:35 Combmes has pleaded not guilty to
00:01:35 --> 00:01:37 charges that include racketeering,
00:01:37 --> 00:01:39 conspiracy, smex trafficking, and
00:01:39 --> 00:01:42 transportation to engage in
00:01:42 --> 00:01:46 uh, prostitution. Prosecutors have also
00:01:46 --> 00:01:49 said Regina Ventura can testify that in
00:01:49 --> 00:01:52 December 2011, Diddy demanded she pay
00:01:52 --> 00:01:53 him
00:01:53 --> 00:01:56 $20 for money he spent on her
00:01:56 --> 00:01:58 daughter after he learned she was
00:01:58 --> 00:02:02 romantically involved with Kid Cuy.
00:02:02 --> 00:02:05 Regina Ventura took out a loan and wired
00:02:05 --> 00:02:08 the money to Diddy. The money was wired
00:02:08 --> 00:02:10 back to her without explanation days
00:02:10 --> 00:02:14 later, the prosecution said. Defense
00:02:15 --> 00:02:18 attorney Mark Agnafilio argued she
00:02:18 --> 00:02:19 should not be allowed to say that in
00:02:19 --> 00:02:23 court as it could be prejuditial to
00:02:23 --> 00:02:26 Diddy, but the judge said Agnafilio
00:02:26 --> 00:02:28 could object to the testimony when it
00:02:28 --> 00:02:31 comes up and he deal with it. Then uh
00:02:31 --> 00:02:32 Regina
00:02:33 --> 00:02:35 Ventur, Cassy's mother, testified that
00:02:35 --> 00:02:38 her daughter emailed her in December
00:02:38 --> 00:02:42 2011 to say Diddy Combmes was
00:02:42 --> 00:02:44 threatening to release explicit SMMEX
00:02:44 --> 00:02:47 tapes of Cassie. This appears to mesh
00:02:47 --> 00:02:50 with Cassy's earlier testimony that
00:02:50 --> 00:02:53 Diddy threatened her in 2011 in December
00:02:53 --> 00:02:55 when he learned she was dating Scott
00:02:55 --> 00:02:58 Mscooti, also known as Rap Kid Cuddy.
00:02:58 --> 00:02:59 Oh, I didn't know that was his real
00:02:59 --> 00:03:03 name. Um, the email said, according to
00:03:03 --> 00:03:06 Regina Ventur, the threats that have
00:03:06 --> 00:03:09 been made towards me by Shan Puffy
00:03:09 --> 00:03:12 Combmes are that are that he is going to
00:03:12 --> 00:03:15 release two explicit SMEX tapes of me.
00:03:15 --> 00:03:18 One on Christmas Day, maybe before or
00:03:18 --> 00:03:21 right after, and another one sometime
00:03:21 --> 00:03:23 soon after that. He also said that he
00:03:23 --> 00:03:26 will be having someone hurt me and Scott
00:03:26 --> 00:03:29 Mscooty, that's Kid Cuy, physically. He
00:03:29 --> 00:03:31 made a point that it wouldn't be by
00:03:31 --> 00:03:34 hands. He actually said he'd be out of
00:03:34 --> 00:03:36 the country when it
00:03:36 --> 00:03:39 happened. Uh Regina Ventur said she felt
00:03:39 --> 00:03:42 physically sick when she read the email.
00:03:42 --> 00:03:45 The message was sent under an alias um
00:03:45 --> 00:03:47 quote Veronica
00:03:47 --> 00:03:51 Bang uh end quote. The mother said the
00:03:51 --> 00:03:54 email was also sent to one of Diddy's
00:03:54 --> 00:03:57 employees. Regina Ventur said, "I do not
00:03:57 --> 00:03:59 understand a lot of it. The SMMEX tapes
00:04:00 --> 00:04:02 threw me. I did not know the other
00:04:02 --> 00:04:04 person, but knew that he was going to
00:04:04 --> 00:04:06 try to hurt my daughter."
00:04:06 --> 00:04:08 Uh, Regina Ventur
00:04:08 --> 00:04:11 said, uh, remember this is what Cassie
00:04:12 --> 00:04:14 said last week about the threat that
00:04:14 --> 00:04:16 Diddy told me about videos that he had
00:04:16 --> 00:04:18 that he was going to release and that he
00:04:18 --> 00:04:20 was going to hurt Scott and I, she said,
00:04:20 --> 00:04:22 adding the videos he was referring to
00:04:22 --> 00:04:24 were a smeckual performances called
00:04:24 --> 00:04:27 Freakoffs. Cassie also testified Combmes
00:04:27 --> 00:04:30 told her kid Cuy's car will be blown up
00:04:30 --> 00:04:32 in his driveway before it happened.
00:04:32 --> 00:04:35 Cassie Ventur's moms says she wired
00:04:35 --> 00:04:37 money to Diddy because she was scared
00:04:37 --> 00:04:41 for her daughter's safety. Um, Regina
00:04:41 --> 00:04:43 said Diddy contacted her around the same
00:04:43 --> 00:04:47 time Cassie told her friends told
00:04:47 --> 00:04:49 Combmes threatened to release smeually
00:04:49 --> 00:04:52 explicit videos of her. Regina said
00:04:52 --> 00:04:55 Combmes told her he needed $20 to
00:04:55 --> 00:04:58 recoup money he had spent on Cassie.
00:04:58 --> 00:05:01 Regina said Combmes was angry her
00:05:01 --> 00:05:03 daughter was now in a relationship with
00:05:03 --> 00:05:06 Kid Cuddy. Regina said she and her
00:05:06 --> 00:05:08 husband took out an equity loan to
00:05:08 --> 00:05:11 obtain the $20 for Diddy. That's the
00:05:12 --> 00:05:14 only way we could get the money, she
00:05:14 --> 00:05:16 testified. Diddy's bookkeeper sent
00:05:16 --> 00:05:19 Regina Vento an email with wiring
00:05:19 --> 00:05:21 instructions, she said. So, we went to
00:05:21 --> 00:05:23 the credit union and then wired the
00:05:23 --> 00:05:25 money from her and her husband's account
00:05:25 --> 00:05:28 to to the bad boy account. Okay. Well,
00:05:28 --> 00:05:30 she did that to the bad boy account. I
00:05:30 --> 00:05:32 think that's where that Rico comes from
00:05:32 --> 00:05:34 because he's mixing his personal stuff
00:05:34 --> 00:05:36 to that business account. But, okay, I'm
00:05:36 --> 00:05:39 going further. Uh, Regina Ventur said,
00:05:39 --> 00:05:40 "Did it
00:05:40 --> 00:05:43 uh she did it because she was scared
00:05:43 --> 00:05:45 about her daughter's safety." She said
00:05:45 --> 00:05:47 about four or five days later, the money
00:05:48 --> 00:05:50 was returned to her account, but she did
00:05:50 --> 00:05:52 not have any communications with Diddy
00:05:52 --> 00:05:55 about it. Um, so it goes on to say the
00:05:55 --> 00:05:59 jury sees photos of Cassy's mother took
00:05:59 --> 00:06:01 of her following
00:06:01 --> 00:06:04 following
00:06:04 --> 00:06:07 beating. Oh, following some beating. So,
00:06:07 --> 00:06:09 she had some photos, I guess, some
00:06:09 --> 00:06:11 photos in there that um showed that
00:06:11 --> 00:06:14 Cassie had been beating and had uh Diddy
00:06:14 --> 00:06:18 had physically assaulted her. Um, Regina
00:06:18 --> 00:06:20 said she testified that she took these
00:06:20 --> 00:06:23 photos to keep the evidence of keep for
00:06:23 --> 00:06:25 evidence, I guess, for later. She was
00:06:25 --> 00:06:27 bruised and I wanted to make sure that
00:06:27 --> 00:06:30 we memorialized it. Regina said her
00:06:30 --> 00:06:32 daughter told her at the time that she
00:06:32 --> 00:06:35 was beaten by Diddy. Um, these photos
00:06:35 --> 00:06:37 were admitted into evidence during
00:06:37 --> 00:06:40 Cassie Ventur's testimony. Uh, Regina
00:06:40 --> 00:06:43 said December 2011 was the first time
00:06:43 --> 00:06:45 her daughter told her about Diddy being
00:06:45 --> 00:06:49 physical with her. Regina testified
00:06:49 --> 00:06:52 about a time prior to that when she read
00:06:52 --> 00:06:54 a blind item about a celebrity getting
00:06:54 --> 00:06:57 beat up in a car with no names included.
00:06:57 --> 00:06:59 She said she asked her daughter if that
00:06:59 --> 00:07:01 was about her. Cassie told her it wasn't
00:07:01 --> 00:07:03 her.
00:07:03 --> 00:07:08 Um um Regina Ventura says she visited
00:07:08 --> 00:07:11 Cassie and Diddy in LA in 2016 in August
00:07:11 --> 00:07:14 for her her daughter's 30th birthday.
00:07:14 --> 00:07:16 She and Combmes got into a bitter
00:07:16 --> 00:07:18 argument outside of Cassie's apartment
00:07:18 --> 00:07:20 building and Combmes stole Cassie's
00:07:20 --> 00:07:24 phone. Regina said Regina said um we
00:07:24 --> 00:07:26 were arguing about the phone. I wanted
00:07:26 --> 00:07:28 the phone back and he was holding it.
00:07:28 --> 00:07:31 She said one of Comb's security guards
00:07:31 --> 00:07:32 was standing between them. She said, "I
00:07:32 --> 00:07:34 was yelling, screaming, and trying to
00:07:34 --> 00:07:37 hit him." She said, "But said, but was
00:07:37 --> 00:07:38 unable
00:07:38 --> 00:07:41 to." Um, Regina Vtoriz said Diddy
00:07:41 --> 00:07:43 eventually gave her the phone, but then
00:07:43 --> 00:07:46 he took Cassie's car.
00:07:46 --> 00:07:50 Um, and that was really it. It says the
00:07:50 --> 00:07:52 defense attorneys did not cross-examine
00:07:52 --> 00:07:55 her. He said he did not have any
00:07:55 --> 00:07:57 questions for her.
00:07:57 --> 00:07:59 So that was it for
00:07:59 --> 00:08:03 um the defense and of Cassie's mother.
00:08:03 --> 00:08:06 So it's interesting how they had
00:08:06 --> 00:08:09 absolutely no questions for her. So
00:08:09 --> 00:08:11 that's it you guys. I'm going see if I
