00:01:21 --> 00:01:24 the government. Clark says she started
00:01:24 --> 00:01:27 at Bad Boy Records in 2004 and worked
00:01:27 --> 00:01:30 for Combmes until 20120. She also served
00:01:30 --> 00:01:34 as Cassy's creative director until 2018,
00:01:34 --> 00:01:36 she told the court. Comb's former
00:01:36 --> 00:01:39 employee described how she once was in
00:01:39 --> 00:01:42 fear for her life after he threatened to
00:01:42 --> 00:01:45 unalive her while discussing Suge
00:01:45 --> 00:01:48 Knight. Clark Combmes and Comb's head of
00:01:48 --> 00:01:49 security, Uncle Paulie, were walking
00:01:49 --> 00:01:52 through Central Park in New York City
00:01:52 --> 00:01:54 when Combmes brought up Suge. Clark
00:01:54 --> 00:01:57 describes Combmes calm demeanor and
00:01:57 --> 00:01:59 expressing his anger over learning that
00:01:59 --> 00:02:02 she had once worked for uh Suge Knight
00:02:02 --> 00:02:04 over at Deathro Records. When the
00:02:04 --> 00:02:07 prosecution asked Clark if she took his
00:02:07 --> 00:02:10 threats serious, she said very serious.
00:02:10 --> 00:02:13 The defendant once made a vague
00:02:13 --> 00:02:15 threat. Oh, this is something else. The
00:02:15 --> 00:02:18 defense once made a vague threat against
00:02:18 --> 00:02:20 50 Cents regarding 50 Cents. According
00:02:20 --> 00:02:23 to Clark, after Combmes and 50 Cents
00:02:23 --> 00:02:26 finished doing press for MTV, the
00:02:26 --> 00:02:28 defendant told his manager that he was
00:02:28 --> 00:02:31 having an issue with the rapper. Combmes
00:02:31 --> 00:02:34 punctuated the chat with, "I like
00:02:34 --> 00:02:38 powpow," the witness said. Okay, so
00:02:38 --> 00:02:41 going on to the next, uh, Clark told the
00:02:41 --> 00:02:43 court that Combmes once accused her of
00:02:43 --> 00:02:45 stealing three pieces of high-end
00:02:45 --> 00:02:47 jewelry that he had been given on a loan
00:02:47 --> 00:02:49 and subjected her to a lie detector test
00:02:49 --> 00:02:52 when it went missing. She tested that
00:02:52 --> 00:02:54 comb she testified that Combmes had
00:02:54 --> 00:02:56 tasked her with bringing the jewelry to
00:02:56 --> 00:02:58 Tedarboro airport, but she didn't
00:02:58 --> 00:03:01 realize the items were gone until they
00:03:01 --> 00:03:03 were at the airport. Clark told the
00:03:03 --> 00:03:05 court that she brought to an office she
00:03:05 --> 00:03:07 didn't recognize she was brought to an
00:03:07 --> 00:03:09 office she didn't recognize in New York
00:03:09 --> 00:03:11 after being questioned for hours on the
00:03:11 --> 00:03:13 matter. A heavy set man on the sixth
00:03:13 --> 00:03:15 floor of the building told her she was
00:03:15 --> 00:03:17 there to take a lie detector test and
00:03:17 --> 00:03:19 that if she failed it, he would throw
00:03:20 --> 00:03:25 her into the East River. She said,
00:03:25 --> 00:03:29 "Wow." Okay. Uh George Kaplan, another
00:03:29 --> 00:03:31 former assistant who worked for Combmes,
00:03:31 --> 00:03:33 testified last week that he was also
00:03:33 --> 00:03:35 ordered to take a lie detector test on
00:03:35 --> 00:03:38 two different occasions during his
00:03:38 --> 00:03:40 employment. After three pieces of
00:03:40 --> 00:03:42 jewelry went missing, Clark told the
00:03:42 --> 00:03:43 court she was told she wasn't free to
00:03:44 --> 00:03:45 leave until she passed the lie detector
00:03:45 --> 00:03:48 test. The first test was inconclusive
00:03:48 --> 00:03:50 and she was threatened again with being
00:03:50 --> 00:03:52 thrown into the East River by the man
00:03:53 --> 00:03:55 administrating the polygraph. She was
00:03:55 --> 00:03:58 brought home and forced back the next
00:03:58 --> 00:04:00 day saying she was told by COM security
00:04:00 --> 00:04:02 she was not free to leave until she was
00:04:02 --> 00:04:05 cleared of any wrongdoing. It took 5
00:04:05 --> 00:04:09 days of test taking. She did not want to
00:04:09 --> 00:04:10 take the test, but she wanted to get
00:04:10 --> 00:04:13 through the ordeal and prove her innoc
00:04:13 --> 00:04:16 innocence.
00:04:16 --> 00:04:19 Okay, so she goes on to say this talks
00:04:19 --> 00:04:21 about, I guess, how she's affected
00:04:22 --> 00:04:25 personally. Clark lost hair and barely
00:04:25 --> 00:04:28 slept due to the 24-hour stress of her
00:04:28 --> 00:04:30 job working for combs. Working for
00:04:30 --> 00:04:35 Combmes uh for a $55 salary. That's
00:04:35 --> 00:04:37 crazy. Clark says she regularly worked
00:04:37 --> 00:04:40 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. doing
00:04:40 --> 00:04:43 everything from research to fetching dry
00:04:43 --> 00:04:46 cleaning and food. Part of Clark's job
00:04:46 --> 00:04:48 was to set up hotel rooms for combs,
00:04:48 --> 00:04:51 which she told the court required drugs
00:04:51 --> 00:04:54 and introvenous drips. She says she
00:04:54 --> 00:04:56 would unpack his clothes and make sure
00:04:56 --> 00:04:59 his personal belongings were in place,
00:04:59 --> 00:05:01 which included baby oil and a small
00:05:01 --> 00:05:03 camera. Part of the setup required a
00:05:04 --> 00:05:07 toiletry bag with drugs such as ecstasy,
00:05:07 --> 00:05:11 Clark said. Combmes also required four
00:05:12 --> 00:05:15 drips for himself and Cassie, which he
00:05:15 --> 00:05:17 said contains something similar to
00:05:17 --> 00:05:20 serotonin supplements and will help them
00:05:20 --> 00:05:22 recover from drug
00:05:22 --> 00:05:25 use. Moving on, she said Combmes once
00:05:25 --> 00:05:29 forced Cassie Ventura to obediently move
00:05:29 --> 00:05:30 at his command in front of the other
00:05:30 --> 00:05:33 women. Clark said she recalled a 2010
00:05:34 --> 00:05:35 interaction with Combmes at his Los
00:05:35 --> 00:05:37 Angeles home when he questioned why she
00:05:38 --> 00:05:39 didn't have a
00:05:39 --> 00:05:41 boyfriend. That's when Combmes summoned
00:05:41 --> 00:05:43 girlfriend Cassie into a room and had
00:05:43 --> 00:05:45 her sit down, stand up, and turn around
00:05:45 --> 00:05:48 on command, Clark said. Combmes then
00:05:48 --> 00:05:50 allegedly added that
00:05:50 --> 00:05:54 you you be you bees don't want to do
00:05:54 --> 00:05:56 that and that's why you don't have a
00:05:56 --> 00:05:59 man.
00:05:59 --> 00:06:01 Okay. So, it goes on to say, "There were
00:06:01 --> 00:06:03 times when Combmes asked Clark to obtain
00:06:03 --> 00:06:06 drugs on his behalf, including illicit
00:06:06 --> 00:06:08 substances as well as prescription
00:06:08 --> 00:06:11 medication." She testified. Clark told
00:06:11 --> 00:06:13 the court that while Combmes usually
00:06:13 --> 00:06:15 obtained drugs on his own, she was
00:06:15 --> 00:06:18 sometimes asked to get substances for
00:06:18 --> 00:06:20 him. She said Combmes once asked her to
00:06:20 --> 00:06:22 get him cocaine while they were in the
00:06:22 --> 00:06:25 south of France in 2006.
00:06:25 --> 00:06:27 He also asked her to get prescription
00:06:27 --> 00:06:29 drugs in her name and then he would pay
00:06:29 --> 00:06:31 for it, Clark
00:06:31 --> 00:06:35 said. She goes on to say Clark it goes
00:06:35 --> 00:06:37 on to say Clark recalled a 2006 incident
00:06:37 --> 00:06:40 at Com's Miami home when he was
00:06:40 --> 00:06:43 forced I'm sorry when he forcefully
00:06:43 --> 00:06:46 shoved her. The witness said Capricorn
00:06:46 --> 00:06:49 used her hands in a shoving motion when
00:06:49 --> 00:06:51 describing how an enraged Combmes
00:06:51 --> 00:06:53 allegedly pushed her around while
00:06:53 --> 00:06:55 saying, "If you hate it here, get the f
00:06:55 --> 00:06:59 out my house." "That was my that was
00:06:59 --> 00:07:02 crossing my boundary" until Clark told
00:07:02 --> 00:07:04 uh juries of the
00:07:04 --> 00:07:07 incident. So, it goes on and they're
00:07:07 --> 00:07:09 switching the subjects again here, guys.
00:07:10 --> 00:07:11 It says
00:07:11 --> 00:07:14 um I guess it looks like they had given
00:07:14 --> 00:07:18 she had given uh Cassie a burner phone.
00:07:18 --> 00:07:19 She said the burner phone that Cassie
00:07:19 --> 00:07:22 Ventur used to contact Scott Mscuddy,
00:07:22 --> 00:07:25 also known as Kid Cuy, was purchased at
00:07:25 --> 00:07:28 Clark's urging. She told the court. She
00:07:28 --> 00:07:29 said that she picked up Cassie one day
00:07:30 --> 00:07:32 and Cassie asked Kid Cuy to join them.
00:07:32 --> 00:07:35 When Clark thought it was a bad idea,
00:07:35 --> 00:07:38 Clark testified that she was concerned
00:07:38 --> 00:07:40 that Cassie was texting her on a phone
00:07:40 --> 00:07:43 paid for by Combmes and that it wasn't a
00:07:43 --> 00:07:45 good idea. Clark told Cassie to took
00:07:46 --> 00:07:48 Cassie to Best Buy to buy a new phone
00:07:48 --> 00:07:50 because she feared that Cassie was going
00:07:50 --> 00:07:54 to get us all unalived. Clark
00:07:54 --> 00:07:58 testified. CL she goes on to say uh
00:07:58 --> 00:08:00 Clark recalled the morning of 2000 I'm
00:08:00 --> 00:08:04 sorry December 22nd 2011 when Combmes
00:08:04 --> 00:08:07 banged on her apartment door as her
00:08:07 --> 00:08:08 enraged ball said they were going to
00:08:08 --> 00:08:10 confront Kid
00:08:10 --> 00:08:13 Cuy Clark said Combmes were visibly
00:08:13 --> 00:08:16 furious. His pants split at the crotch
00:08:16 --> 00:08:19 as he paced back and forth with a
00:08:19 --> 00:08:22 firearm. He just said get dressed. We're
00:08:22 --> 00:08:26 going to go unal alive. Mscotti Clark
00:08:26 --> 00:08:30 testified with the pow-wow in his hand.
00:08:30 --> 00:08:32 The witness's testimony could be crucial
00:08:32 --> 00:08:34 to the government's racketeering case if
00:08:34 --> 00:08:37 prosecutors can show Combmes marshalling
00:08:37 --> 00:08:39 his company's resources for use in a
00:08:39 --> 00:08:40 criminal
00:08:40 --> 00:08:42 action. Kid Cuddy had earlier testified
00:08:42 --> 00:08:44 to Comb's rage when he learned that
00:08:44 --> 00:08:47 Victoria was seeing him.
00:08:47 --> 00:08:49 Clark goes on to say, uh, Clark told the
00:08:49 --> 00:08:51 court that she was sitting in a car at
00:08:52 --> 00:08:55 Kid Cuy's home when Combmes accessed the
00:08:55 --> 00:08:58 main door of the rapper's property. She
00:08:58 --> 00:09:01 called Cassie Ventur from the car and
00:09:01 --> 00:09:04 told her that Combmes came to Cuy's home
00:09:04 --> 00:09:07 to unal alive him. She said that Combmes
00:09:07 --> 00:09:09 came back to the car and asked to see
00:09:09 --> 00:09:12 her phone, calling the last number on
00:09:12 --> 00:09:15 the call history. Clark said Combmes
00:09:15 --> 00:09:17 ordered her to call Cassie to let her
00:09:17 --> 00:09:20 know Combmes had her and that he wasn't
00:09:20 --> 00:09:24 going to let Clark go until Cassie came.
00:09:24 --> 00:09:27 Cassie calmly agreed. Clark testified
00:09:27 --> 00:09:29 and Clark went to pick her up. They
00:09:29 --> 00:09:31 returned together to Comb's home where
00:09:31 --> 00:09:33 Combmes allegedly told them not to speak
00:09:34 --> 00:09:36 to the police and urges urged them to
00:09:36 --> 00:09:39 convince Cuy to not tell the police he
00:09:39 --> 00:09:42 was involved. Combmes repeatedly kicked
00:09:42 --> 00:09:45 and beat Cassie as he wore only a robe
00:09:45 --> 00:09:47 and underwear after she arrived at his
00:09:47 --> 00:09:50 home following the kid cuddy breakin.
00:09:50 --> 00:09:53 Clark tearfully testified. Clark told
00:09:53 --> 00:09:55 the court that Combmes said that
00:09:55 --> 00:09:59 Comolmes came at Cassie 100% full force,
00:09:59 --> 00:10:02 repeatedly kicking his former girlfriend
00:10:02 --> 00:10:03 while she crouched more and more into a
00:10:04 --> 00:10:06 fetal position. Cassie was crying
00:10:06 --> 00:10:08 quietly as Combmes kicked her in the
00:10:08 --> 00:10:12 back over and over again. Combmes former
00:10:12 --> 00:10:13 employees struggled to speak while
00:10:14 --> 00:10:16 recounting the incident to the court,
00:10:16 --> 00:10:18 testifying that Cassie was only a few
00:10:18 --> 00:10:21 feet away from her at the time. Clark
00:10:21 --> 00:10:23 said Combmes told her if she intervened,
00:10:23 --> 00:10:26 he would attack her next. She added that
00:10:26 --> 00:10:28 no one on Comb security team intervene
00:10:28 --> 00:10:31 to stop the attack. The witness says she
00:10:31 --> 00:10:33 even suffered from stress related
00:10:33 --> 00:10:35 alipesia,
00:10:35 --> 00:10:37 um the clinical term for hair loss due
00:10:37 --> 00:10:41 to her boss's non-stop demands. Okay, so
