00:00:19 --> 00:00:21 This is Deia Avery of the Demia Avery
00:00:21 --> 00:00:23 Show. Thank you once again for joining
00:00:23 --> 00:00:25 me on today's entertainment report. If
00:00:25 --> 00:00:27 you're on YouTube, hit that subscribe
00:00:27 --> 00:00:30 button, hit that like and share. If
00:00:30 --> 00:00:31 you're anywhere else, hit that heart
00:00:32 --> 00:00:34 button. And I thank you and I appreciate
00:00:34 --> 00:00:36 you so much. So, we got a few stories
00:00:36 --> 00:00:40 today. We're going to start with Brian
00:00:40 --> 00:00:43 Mcnite. He has been a trip these past
00:00:43 --> 00:00:45 what is it, a year, couple of years.
00:00:45 --> 00:00:47 He's been a trip. But I'm going to read
00:00:47 --> 00:00:51 what's out there now. So Brian Mcnite
00:00:51 --> 00:00:54 accused his ex-wife Julie of blocking
00:00:54 --> 00:00:57 cancer treatment for their son Nico and
00:00:57 --> 00:01:02 deny claims he ignored him before his
00:01:02 --> 00:01:05 unalivvening. Uh Brian Mcman Knight
00:01:05 --> 00:01:07 lashed out as his ex-wife and brother
00:01:08 --> 00:01:10 Tuesday in a tense Instagram post
00:01:10 --> 00:01:12 denying accusations that he abandoned
00:01:12 --> 00:01:15 his 32-year-old son Nico before his
00:01:15 --> 00:01:17 death from cancer and accusing others of
00:01:18 --> 00:01:20 turning the tragedy into a public
00:01:20 --> 00:01:22 spectacle.
00:01:22 --> 00:01:23 He says, "A big big thanks to Claude
00:01:24 --> 00:01:27 Mcnite's tasteless and self angrizing
00:01:27 --> 00:01:30 announcement on Tik
00:01:30 --> 00:01:33 Tok that frequently was not his to make.
00:01:33 --> 00:01:35 In my opinion, he inserted himself and
00:01:35 --> 00:01:39 used Nico's unaliving as an opportunity
00:01:39 --> 00:01:41 instead of letting him pass with respect
00:01:41 --> 00:01:45 and dignity." Brian Mcnite wrote, "It
00:01:45 --> 00:01:47 has instead turned into a circus, a
00:01:47 --> 00:01:50 mockery of life now lost, making this
00:01:50 --> 00:01:53 tragedy into a reality show type
00:01:53 --> 00:01:56 drama." This post um followed days of
00:01:56 --> 00:01:59 criticism aimed at Brian Mcnite, who
00:01:59 --> 00:02:02 remained silent after Nico's
00:02:02 --> 00:02:06 unalivvening. Um Mcnite addressed claims
00:02:06 --> 00:02:08 that he had no effort to reach out to
00:02:08 --> 00:02:10 his son during his illness. It's just a
00:02:10 --> 00:02:13 shame. It's just a shame. And like I
00:02:13 --> 00:02:14 said,
00:02:14 --> 00:02:17 Brian, I I'mma be honest. I have a
00:02:17 --> 00:02:20 different opinion of Brian now. I mean,
00:02:20 --> 00:02:21 I never I mean, it's none of my
00:02:21 --> 00:02:23 business. It's none of anybody's
00:02:23 --> 00:02:24 business, but you know, they are
00:02:24 --> 00:02:26 celebrities and they are out there, but
00:02:26 --> 00:02:29 he just seems to me like he's just been
00:02:29 --> 00:02:30 doing all the wrong things. And I
00:02:30 --> 00:02:34 understand what he's saying, but he's
00:02:34 --> 00:02:36 saying, you know, putting everything out
00:02:36 --> 00:02:38 there in the public and this is
00:02:38 --> 00:02:40 basically as a private matter, yada yada
00:02:40 --> 00:02:43 yada, but you're putting this out in the
00:02:43 --> 00:02:48 public, like make it make sense for me,
00:02:48 --> 00:02:52 you know? So, okay, Brian. Um, yeah.
00:02:52 --> 00:02:56 Okay. So, moving on. according to Vibe
00:02:56 --> 00:02:58 magazine. Now, this is something and I
00:02:58 --> 00:03:00 want to get you guys's opinion on this.
00:03:00 --> 00:03:04 Um, this is about Jamie Fox.
00:03:04 --> 00:03:07 So, Jamie Fox, you know, is back in the
00:03:07 --> 00:03:10 news again. I'm so happy to see him
00:03:10 --> 00:03:13 healthy and and doing his thing. But
00:03:13 --> 00:03:15 according to Vive magazine, Jamie Fox,
00:03:15 --> 00:03:17 it says, isn't holding back when it
00:03:17 --> 00:03:19 comes to Diddy and the amount of legal
00:03:19 --> 00:03:22 trouble currently surrounding Diddy. The
00:03:22 --> 00:03:24 Academy Award winner, actor, and
00:03:24 --> 00:03:28 comedian pegged him as nasty as part of
00:03:28 --> 00:03:31 a recent standup uh bit. During
00:03:32 --> 00:03:34 appearance at the comedy store in LA,
00:03:34 --> 00:03:36 Fox lit into Diddy with a sharp mix of
00:03:36 --> 00:03:39 humor and disbelief, taking jabs at the
00:03:39 --> 00:03:42 disgraced rapper and his ongoing federal
00:03:42 --> 00:03:45 smacks trafficking and racketeering
00:03:45 --> 00:03:49 investigation. Fox says that diddy is
00:03:49 --> 00:03:51 crazy, huh? And that's how he opened,
00:03:52 --> 00:03:54 prompting laughter and humored reactions
00:03:54 --> 00:03:57 from the crowd, referring to the now
00:03:57 --> 00:04:00 2024 federal raids of Diddy's properties
00:04:00 --> 00:04:04 where agents allegedly confiscated a
00:04:04 --> 00:04:07 suspiciously a suspiciously large amount
00:04:07 --> 00:04:10 of baby oil. Fox, you know, he went in
00:04:10 --> 00:04:14 on that. So he says, I don't know if if
00:04:14 --> 00:04:17 he's going to go to jail, but he's a
00:04:17 --> 00:04:19 nasty mfer. Am I
00:04:19 --> 00:04:23 right? Especially for our community. He
00:04:23 --> 00:04:25 says, "White people is cool, but for
00:04:25 --> 00:04:28 black people, like that was our hero.
00:04:28 --> 00:04:32 All that blank blank baby oil. Oh boy. I
00:04:32 --> 00:04:35 don't know if he was my hero. But I I
00:04:35 --> 00:04:39 did admire him for his his business, at
00:04:39 --> 00:04:42 least what I thought was good business
00:04:42 --> 00:04:46 practice and his his uh work ethic, I I
00:04:46 --> 00:04:48 should say. So, I did admire him for
00:04:48 --> 00:04:50 that, for what I knew about because I
00:04:50 --> 00:04:52 thought it was just insane, you know,
00:04:52 --> 00:04:56 just just the drive was bananas. But
00:04:56 --> 00:04:59 hero, that's taken a little too far. But
00:04:59 --> 00:05:01 Fox didn't stop there. He reflected on
00:05:01 --> 00:05:03 the cultural impact of Diddy, noting the
00:05:03 --> 00:05:05 fall from grace hits harder for the
00:05:05 --> 00:05:08 black community. He says, "For the black
00:05:08 --> 00:05:10 people in here, you know how that hurts
00:05:10 --> 00:05:14 us because Diddy's was all about the
00:05:14 --> 00:05:16 Benjamins. That was our whole culture.
00:05:16 --> 00:05:19 Now it's all about the baby
00:05:19 --> 00:05:21 oil. Get what he's saying. And I get
00:05:21 --> 00:05:24 what he's saying for for the joke and
00:05:24 --> 00:05:26 yeah, everything is about the baby girl.
00:05:26 --> 00:05:29 Everything is about the baby or
00:05:29 --> 00:05:31 but I don't know about the culture
00:05:31 --> 00:05:34 thing. It's all about the Benjamins. I
00:05:34 --> 00:05:37 mean, yeah, the the whole hip hop, you
00:05:37 --> 00:05:39 know, get this money, son. Get this
00:05:39 --> 00:05:43 money. I get it. you know, but I
00:05:43 --> 00:05:44 wouldn't go as far as to saying, you
00:05:44 --> 00:05:47 know, like I said, he's a hero and he
00:05:47 --> 00:05:49 was the best thing, one of the best
00:05:49 --> 00:05:51 things in our culture. But I will say it
00:05:51 --> 00:05:56 was great seeing a black man doing his
00:05:56 --> 00:06:00 thing. Doing his thing. Um, earning
00:06:00 --> 00:06:01 money,
00:06:01 --> 00:06:04 billionaire. So, it it was good from
00:06:04 --> 00:06:06 that standpoint. all this other mess.
00:06:06 --> 00:06:09 Whether he's guilty or not guilty, like
00:06:09 --> 00:06:11 I said before, it's not for me to
00:06:11 --> 00:06:14 decide. But, you know, I don't idolize
00:06:14 --> 00:06:16 anyone but this one right here. You get
00:06:16 --> 00:06:18 it? All
00:06:18 --> 00:06:21 right. All right. So, our last story is
00:06:21 --> 00:06:23 about Lamar
00:06:23 --> 00:06:26 Odum. Okay. It says Lamar Odum. This is
00:06:26 --> 00:06:28 from Did I get this from Vibe magazine?
00:06:28 --> 00:06:31 I think so. Lamar Odum now has another
00:06:31 --> 00:06:35 hurdle to overcome. The 45-year-old
00:06:35 --> 00:06:37 former hooper recently got evicted from
00:06:37 --> 00:06:40 his LA mansion after failing to make any
00:06:40 --> 00:06:43 payments. The New York Post reported
00:06:43 --> 00:06:46 that the two-time NBA champion moved
00:06:46 --> 00:06:48 into his now former residence in
00:06:48 --> 00:06:52 December 2024 and agreed to pay $15
00:06:52 --> 00:06:55 on the first of every month in rent. By
00:06:55 --> 00:06:58 March, he had racked up $45 debt,
00:06:58 --> 00:07:01 leaving Executive Recovery Group, Inc.,
00:07:01 --> 00:07:03 the company that subleasased him the
00:07:03 --> 00:07:05 home with no choice but to sue him for
00:07:05 --> 00:07:08 alleged pass through rent forfeite of
00:07:08 --> 00:07:11 the agreement attorney fees and damages.
00:07:11 --> 00:07:13 They claimed they gave OD multiple
00:07:13 --> 00:07:15 warnings including a three-day notice
00:07:15 --> 00:07:18 posted on the residence on March 11th
00:07:18 --> 00:07:20 that stated that either pay what you owe
00:07:20 --> 00:07:22 or leave if you fail to perform or
00:07:22 --> 00:07:25 otherwise comply. Landlord declares the
00:07:25 --> 00:07:27 forure of the lease or rental agreement
00:07:28 --> 00:07:30 under which you occupy said premises.
00:07:30 --> 00:07:32 They wrote in the court documents also
00:07:32 --> 00:07:34 saying that they mailed him a notice by
00:07:34 --> 00:07:37 March 17th. They formally terminated the
00:07:37 --> 00:07:40 lease agreement with the former uh LA
00:07:40 --> 00:07:43 Lakers star. The cult the court ruled in
00:07:43 --> 00:07:46 favor of Executive Recovery Group Inc.
00:07:46 --> 00:07:48 on April 28th after not getting a
00:07:48 --> 00:07:51 response from Lamar Odum. They awarded
00:07:51 --> 00:07:53 the company possession of the of his
00:07:53 --> 00:07:55 mansion and ordered ODM to vacate the
00:07:55 --> 00:07:58 residence. It is currently unclear where
00:07:58 --> 00:08:00 he resides and his team has yet to make
00:08:00 --> 00:08:03 a comment on the matter on the matter.
00:08:03 --> 00:08:05 And you know what? I I'm gonna be
00:08:05 --> 00:08:07 honest. I didn't really follow Lamar's
00:08:07 --> 00:08:10 uh career like that, but it says, you
00:08:10 --> 00:08:12 know, his life has been riddled with
00:08:12 --> 00:08:14 controversy over the last decade or so.
00:08:14 --> 00:08:17 He went from a top six men in the NBA to
00:08:17 --> 00:08:19 suffering from drug abuse and retiring
00:08:19 --> 00:08:22 in 2013. his marriage to Khloe
00:08:22 --> 00:08:25 Kardashian fell apart and he had several
00:08:25 --> 00:08:27 health issues, specifically 12 strokes
00:08:27 --> 00:08:30 and six heart attacks. I didn't know
00:08:30 --> 00:08:33 that. I didn't know that. So, apparently
00:08:33 --> 00:08:36 he's having a hard time for from
00:08:36 --> 00:08:41 whatever this is. So, you know, you
00:08:41 --> 00:08:42 still have time, bro. You you still
00:08:42 --> 00:08:45 living. So, you can get it together. You
00:08:45 --> 00:08:46 can get it together. you might not go
00:08:46 --> 00:08:48 back playing anymore, but you can get
00:08:48 --> 00:08:51 your life together and do other things.
00:08:51 --> 00:08:54 So, anyways, that is my entertainment
00:08:54 --> 00:08:55 report for the day. Thank you so much
00:08:56 --> 00:08:58 for dropping in. Um, I may have some
00:08:58 --> 00:09:01 diddy news later on. We'll see. But I'll
00:09:01 --> 00:09:05 talk to you later. Bye-bye.
