00:00:55 --> 00:00:57 about the BET Awards that that's um

00:00:57 --> 00:01:02 coming up on June 9th. So, we got some

00:01:02 --> 00:01:06 good news. I love it. 106 in Park is

00:01:06 --> 00:01:09 coming on their reunion. It's to

00:01:09 --> 00:01:12 celebrate their 25th anniversary.

00:01:12 --> 00:01:14 They're going to um grab all of their

00:01:14 --> 00:01:17 old hosts and have like a reunion type

00:01:17 --> 00:01:19 situation. And that is for all you 106

00:01:19 --> 00:01:23 and Park fans. So, I I was a little bit

00:01:23 --> 00:01:24 older. I'm not going to tell you how old

00:01:24 --> 00:01:29 I am now, but I still loved 106 and Park

00:01:29 --> 00:01:31 and how they used to show all the old,

00:01:31 --> 00:01:32 you know, the videos and stuff like

00:01:32 --> 00:01:37 that. And people love 106 and Park. So,

00:01:37 --> 00:01:39 they're going to have the reunion of all

00:01:39 --> 00:01:40 the hosts and they're also going to have

00:01:40 --> 00:01:44 some performances. So, the

00:01:44 --> 00:01:47 um the hosts that's going to show up on

00:01:47 --> 00:01:51 on the BET Awards are AJ Callaway, Free

00:01:52 --> 00:01:55 Guys love themselves. Free Free Jalisa

00:01:55 --> 00:01:58 Bermudez, uh Kesha Shante, Rashi Diaz,

00:01:58 --> 00:02:01 and Terren J. They're all going to be in

00:02:01 --> 00:02:03 the house. And who's set to hit the

00:02:03 --> 00:02:08 stage? Bow, B2K, Amarie, Jim Jones, um

00:02:08 --> 00:02:11 Maya, Ti, and there's going to be some

00:02:11 --> 00:02:12 other people. So, that's an amazing

00:02:12 --> 00:02:15 lineup. So, I know you guys um are going

00:02:15 --> 00:02:17 to enjoy it. I'm here for it. I love

00:02:17 --> 00:02:19 Amarie, so I can't wait to see her

00:02:19 --> 00:02:21 actually perform. I don't think she got

00:02:21 --> 00:02:24 the Just Do that um she should have. So,

00:02:24 --> 00:02:27 this is going to be nice. And speaking

00:02:27 --> 00:02:31 of the awards, um today

00:02:31 --> 00:02:36 um BET announced the nominees for um

00:02:36 --> 00:02:39 some of the nominees for the awards and

00:02:39 --> 00:02:42 it says Kendrick Lamar is leading the

00:02:42 --> 00:02:47 nominations with 10 awards. Doi, Drake,

00:02:47 --> 00:02:49 Future, and Glorilla tying with six

00:02:49 --> 00:02:52 nominations. Metro Booming earning five

00:02:52 --> 00:02:55 nominations and SIZA and The Weekend

00:02:55 --> 00:02:58 tying in with four nominations each. So,

00:02:58 --> 00:03:00 actually, this ought to be a good BET

00:03:00 --> 00:03:02 Awards. I I'm going to be honest, I

00:03:02 --> 00:03:04 haven't watched the awards in so long

00:03:04 --> 00:03:07 because I just kind of been out of the

00:03:07 --> 00:03:09 loop with all the music stuff. But for

00:03:09 --> 00:03:11 this one, I think I'm going to tune in

00:03:11 --> 00:03:12 for this one. So, this ought to be

00:03:12 --> 00:03:16 great. And I'm I'm just here for all the

00:03:16 --> 00:03:19 nostalgia and stuff like that. So, this

00:03:19 --> 00:03:22 ought to be awesome. Who are um who are

00:03:22 --> 00:03:24 some of your faves that you would like

00:03:24 --> 00:03:26 to see win? And who would you like to

00:03:26 --> 00:03:28 see when album of the year? Put it down

00:03:28 --> 00:03:30 in the comments. I'm curious to see who

00:03:30 --> 00:03:34 your favorites are. So, moving on this

00:03:34 --> 00:03:37 next story, guys. This is some crazy

00:03:37 --> 00:03:41 crazy mess. And I just want to know, can

00:03:41 --> 00:03:45 anybody sue? I just want to know. So

00:03:45 --> 00:03:48 apparently, according to Fox Sports, a

00:03:48 --> 00:03:53 Jane Doe is trying to sue the NFL for

00:03:53 --> 00:03:56 racial bias over the Shadur Sanders

00:03:56 --> 00:03:58 draft. Let me tell you how what he's

00:03:58 --> 00:04:01 doing. A self-identified Colorado

00:04:01 --> 00:04:02 supporter who claims the league's

00:04:02 --> 00:04:06 handling of the quarterback's draft

00:04:06 --> 00:04:10 um caused him emotional trauma.

00:04:10 --> 00:04:12 So, I'm going to read this to you guys

00:04:12 --> 00:04:13 because I want to make sure I don't miss

00:04:14 --> 00:04:16 anything. He filed it in Georgia's

00:04:16 --> 00:04:20 federal court um using an alias. The

00:04:20 --> 00:04:22 suit accuses the NFL of orchestrating a

00:04:22 --> 00:04:25 biased narrative that harms Sanders

00:04:25 --> 00:04:27 reputation in turn inflicted

00:04:27 --> 00:04:30 psychological damage on the plainif as a

00:04:30 --> 00:04:32 devoted consumer of the sport. According

00:04:32 --> 00:04:35 to for uh Fox Sports, the complaint

00:04:35 --> 00:04:37 alleges that media reports claiming

00:04:37 --> 00:04:39 Sanders tanked interviews wasn't

00:04:39 --> 00:04:42 prepared and was too cocky and mounted

00:04:42 --> 00:04:44 to slanderous statements that unfairly

00:04:44 --> 00:04:46 shape public perception and contributed

00:04:46 --> 00:04:50 to his draft slide. The plaintiff argues

00:04:50 --> 00:04:52 these portrayals were not only damaging

00:04:52 --> 00:04:54 but also racially motivated, citing

00:04:54 --> 00:04:57 alleged vi violations of the Civil

00:04:57 --> 00:04:59 Rights Act. The lawsuit also claims the

00:04:59 --> 00:05:02 NFL breached the Sherman Antitrust Act,

00:05:02 --> 00:05:04 accusing teams of colluding to

00:05:04 --> 00:05:08 manipulate the draft process and decress

00:05:08 --> 00:05:12 Sanders value. Collusion among NFL teams

00:05:12 --> 00:05:14 influenced the drafting process and the

00:05:14 --> 00:05:16 subsequent subsequent low selection of

00:05:16 --> 00:05:19 Shador Sanders. The filing reads, "The

00:05:19 --> 00:05:22 plaintiff is demanding 100 million in

00:05:22 --> 00:05:24 punitive damages, a formal

00:05:24 --> 00:05:26 acknowledgement from the leaf for

00:05:26 --> 00:05:28 emotional distress caused, a public

00:05:28 --> 00:05:31 apology to Sanders, and a retraction of

00:05:31 --> 00:05:34 the statements he deems defamatory." He

00:05:34 --> 00:05:37 also calls for reforms to ensure future

00:05:37 --> 00:05:40 draft selections are biased solely on or

00:05:40 --> 00:05:43 are based, I'm sorry, solely on merit.

00:05:43 --> 00:05:45 According to the filing, Doe is a

00:05:45 --> 00:05:48 longtime Colorado football follower who

00:05:48 --> 00:05:51 attends games and closely tracks Sanders

00:05:51 --> 00:05:53 college career. He claims the draft

00:05:53 --> 00:05:55 outcome led to frustration,

00:05:55 --> 00:05:57 disappointment, and psychological harm

00:05:57 --> 00:06:00 as a fan. Um, at this time, the NFL has

00:06:00 --> 00:06:03 not commented publicly on the lawsuit.

00:06:03 --> 00:06:07 So, okay, a lot of us were were

00:06:07 --> 00:06:09 disappointed. A lot of us have our own

00:06:09 --> 00:06:12 opinions. Um, biased or not biased,

00:06:12 --> 00:06:15 whatever your opinion is, it is, you

00:06:15 --> 00:06:18 know, it is what it is.

00:06:18 --> 00:06:22 Um, I didn't know I could sue

00:06:22 --> 00:06:29 though. Can Can everybody sue?

00:06:29 --> 00:06:33 Like, I I had some emotional stress. I'm

00:06:33 --> 00:06:36 feeling stressed out. How about

00:06:36 --> 00:06:39 y'all?$100 million might help me. might

00:06:39 --> 00:06:43 help me. I've been having these

00:06:43 --> 00:06:46 headaches, y'all. It's crazy. Okay.

00:06:46 --> 00:06:50 Well, we gonna see what he Hey, get on

00:06:50 --> 00:06:51 get, you know, get off of this kind of

00:06:52 --> 00:06:54 stuff that he might get some money. Who

00:06:54 --> 00:06:56 knows? But y'all tell me how y'all feel

00:06:56 --> 00:06:59 about that. That's crazy. And lastly, my

00:06:59 --> 00:07:02 last story. Um, Alec Bowwin and Nick

00:07:02 --> 00:07:04 Cannon has a new flick entitled

00:07:04 --> 00:07:07 Hollywood Heist and it's headed to the

00:07:07 --> 00:07:10 Can's uh film festival headed to Cans to

00:07:10 --> 00:07:13 market uh with VMI. So VMI will

00:07:13 --> 00:07:16 introduce the film to buyers over in

00:07:16 --> 00:07:20 Cans. And the film follows a Hollywood

00:07:20 --> 00:07:22 power agent trying to land an actor by

00:07:22 --> 00:07:24 telling the story of his client, a movie

00:07:24 --> 00:07:27 producer, along with a washed up movie

00:07:27 --> 00:07:29 star pal, as they race against time to

00:07:30 --> 00:07:32 save their latest production. This comes

00:07:32 --> 00:07:34 after the project's bank account is

00:07:34 --> 00:07:37 wiped clean by a thief, leading to an

00:07:37 --> 00:07:39 onslaught of negotiations with famous

00:07:40 --> 00:07:43 actors, drug lords, and death. It gets

00:07:43 --> 00:07:45 the funding that it needs. I hope you

00:07:45 --> 00:07:47 know this. It sounds funny and it can

00:07:47 --> 00:07:50 and can be funny. I like him as an

00:07:50 --> 00:07:52 actor. I do. So,

00:07:52 --> 00:07:56 um, and we all know about, um, Alec

00:07:56 --> 00:07:58 Baldwin. He's a He's a phenomenal actor.

00:07:58 --> 00:08:00 So, I hope it gets the funding that it

00:08:00 --> 00:08:01 needs. I need something funny in my

00:08:01 --> 00:08:02 life.

00:08:02 --> 00:08:05 So, we'll see how it goes. But, all

00:08:05 --> 00:08:07 right, that's it for today. Talk to you

00:08:07 --> 00:08:11 later. Bye.
