[00:00:09] Talk To Me Michele.

[00:00:53] be isto know what I who thinks about.

[00:01:18] at you no more i don't want to see you so that's how i am right about now with tyson i'm sorry to

[00:01:23] be that way yes but i'm gonna do it anyhow we're gonna carry on because i left you guys with the

[00:01:29] first portion of conversation i was having with comedian big vino and we're gonna continue this

[00:01:34] conversation on how he went from the street life to the comedy stage so in this first spot man um

[00:01:45] you didn't deal with a lot of stuff now you've moved you're in a new location everything is sold

[00:01:50] you starting from scratch not from scratch i mean i had a good head start i had a little bit of

[00:01:57] i had a little bit of game to me you know what i'm saying and i had some investments that paid off

[00:02:03] like we got i got in and i got immediately to you know entrepreneurship down here in virginia

[00:02:10] it doesn't take much to start a business you know what i mean and that's very explainable income

[00:02:15] you know what i'm saying so we start a couple businesses get a food truck get a couple vending

[00:02:21] machines you know simple shit where you could just like vending machines people don't even understand

[00:02:25] how profitable vending machines are you get the right track yes right even when i'm not in town i

[00:02:31] can hire someone to go fill the vending machine that they'll go to costco get this candy and go fill

[00:02:35] the vending machine for me it's running low the dude called said no more reese's in there and those

[00:02:40] those be the best sell to put two rows of reese's now and that's that's a good business that that's

[00:02:47] actually a business i'm thinking about investing in for my son don't take much take about three

[00:02:52] thousand dollars if you get the right right situation right yeah you could be eating eating money you

[00:03:00] don't even got to be there to get and should get you five hundred dollars a month with nothing to do

[00:03:05] you all you got to do after you go buy candy from costco's you you there you ain't even got

[00:03:10] pay for the power the place you you plugging it up at pay for the

[00:03:22] go easy easy money but i've always known you were business savvy because like i said i've only known

[00:03:27] you a short period of time but i know how you market your shows and i you know hear conversations

[00:03:32] you have on instagram live and when it does come to a certain aspect of the conversation is business

[00:03:37] coming on the table you definitely have a lot to bring when it comes to any type of blueprint of

[00:03:42] business i mean and and i learned this from uh john bryant like i knew it but it's like i i i i i heard

[00:03:53] actually spoken like as drug dealers or people who do different shit in the street like you have skills

[00:04:01] you just it's it's the wrong product at times right the the the marketing the skills the business

[00:04:08] practice is the same you just have the wrong product like cocaine heroin that's the wrong product i'm sorry

[00:04:15] but it was a very profitable product you know exactly made a lot of things happen yeah women and their

[00:04:23] sexuality might be the wrong product in certain situations but it works i knew how to fucking

[00:04:31] market those girls i'm like yo we don't spend more than one month at a place we bounce around because

[00:04:38] you become old new hoes get old you can't be hoeing at the same place all the time you need to be

[00:04:45] somewhere new to a new nigga you a fly hoe to an old nigga you just old ho and come on we're taking it

[00:04:52] out to michigan that's how we move come on we're taking it out to michigan for a little while

[00:05:06] it's recycled goods i got you brother i got you

[00:05:08] i understand the game so you got vending machine businesses other capital uh income coming i got to

[00:05:20] hear how you even got interested in stand-up i actually it was my that was like my second year

[00:05:30] down here i had actually took this job as like a janitor type dude at this one building because i

[00:05:38] wanted benefits um i still had the arms of the the the other businesses those were starting up and you

[00:05:44] know they were they were good but they weren't really killing it but i wasn't worried about

[00:05:48] money i was like i need to have benefits i'm i'm living i'm not you know i'm saying i'm not uh

[00:05:55] like i don't got cocaine money like if you get shot and i could just go pay a hospital bill no more

[00:06:00] you know what i mean i got i'm supposed to be living like a normal being like a working citizen

[00:06:05] so i need insurance so i got this job i'm working and i'm really like working hard you know what i mean

[00:06:14] like i understand what a hard day like i've had other jobs in my life like i don't want to pretend

[00:06:18] i've never i've worked for comcast cable before i've worked for costco i've worked for surf i work

[00:06:23] for some big companies it just wasn't my fit they they don't like niggas who show up late smelling like

[00:06:28] weed they don't like it sorry it's what it is i do the job well but i show up smelling like weed so they

[00:06:38] didn't like me and and i'm at this job this janitor's and i'm like they got me cleaning this

[00:06:44] six story building by myself meaning i got to clean all cubicles dust i got a vacuum everywhere i got

[00:06:51] clean all the bathrooms it's three bathrooms on each floor and then i got to clean this executive floor

[00:06:57] where it has brass fixtures on the door and they literally want you to polish the brass every night

[00:07:03] pause i was i was feeling emasculated but i was like i'm humbling myself i'm learning how to work

[00:07:10] i'm learning how to what a hard day's work is about i got my benefits is about to kick in in a couple of

[00:07:16] weeks right now this job is a big job it's not like some light shit but they're like you got to do

[00:07:24] it faster like they like you can't come in till six when the building's closed like when all the offices

[00:07:29] are done but you got to be done by midnight but you really need to be done by 11 30.

[00:07:37] you know what i'm saying but i would just work until i got it done and some nights i leave there

[00:07:43] like 12 45 i don't get i don't even charge them for the overtime i just you know it took me a little

[00:07:49] longer to do it that was on me you know i mean like i'm leaving there so tired that my shirt is like

[00:07:56] so i got to bring a change of clothes because i'm soaking wet from sweating and cleaning

[00:08:00] yep so i gotta change clothes when i leave like the shirt is soaking wet so i'm like

[00:08:06] the dude who came there it was it was new year's eve of 2016 going into 2017.

[00:08:13] and that man came to me and said yo you're not working hard enough bro like we need you done by

[00:08:20] 11 30 like real tall like anybody else would be done by 11 man you taking too much time you like you

[00:08:25] you're not working hard enough man you're going slow and i'm like bro i am my back hurt my back

[00:08:30] ain't never hurt like i'm soaking wet i'm tired like i'm i'm still wearing the soaking wet shirt

[00:08:36] and this niggas telling me i ain't working hard enough i quit right there on the spot i said yo i'm

[00:08:41] i'm good bro i quit i'm yeah i'm all right hey man look maybe you can find somebody who work a little

[00:08:48] harder i never will let nobody tell me i ain't work that hard again so i said i gotta figure it out

[00:08:54] so partied it up new year got drunk say y'all quit my job i gotta do something different i was really

[00:09:01] about to get back into the business i was about that i called up the poppies i was talking to my

[00:09:05] homeboy like yeah so i'm about to get a plug i got the you know you over there and i'm over here so we

[00:09:10] can take we can get down south cracking again you know what i mean like and we started talking and

[00:09:16] we laughing and we was like hey remember that time move was gonna shoot you he told you he was gonna

[00:09:20] fight you but he really was gonna shoot you man and he pulled out the gun he was like you're gonna

[00:09:23] shoot me when i brought the groceries in for your mom and you're gonna shoot me i brought the groceries

[00:09:29] in for your mom and it moves started laughing and put the gun down he said man stop being like

[00:09:35] he making me mad as fuck son and they was like yeah that shit was funny as hell son and it just

[00:09:41] rung in my head like they got this little comedy club over in town center you know funny bone people

[00:09:48] said they got a little contest a little little amateur contest i should i should go with that

[00:09:54] see if i can start doing some comedy or something you know i mean i got a couple dollars you know

[00:09:59] so i went over there to see what it was found out that they had the contest already so i had to

[00:10:04] wait till the next month i had wait to february so went up there february i practiced all month i was

[00:10:10] like yeah i was sitting there writing all month i was telling niggas back home and jerry's like

[00:10:13] yeah i'm about to start this time this shit the game ain't ready for me i'm about to bring i had a whole

[00:10:18] little look that i had like i used to wear glasses on stage and shade and be big cool but that wasn't

[00:10:24] even it and then i just went up there and i had a great time like the set was this that was all right

[00:10:31] i still got it on dvd they said it was all right it was all right it was good but it got too good to

[00:10:37] me it wasn't that good where it's like where i'm at today but it was it got good to me where they

[00:10:42] was laughing and they were with me and i lost track at the time and i missed the light they

[00:10:47] give you a light and they said if you run the light they're gonna cut everything off and cut the

[00:10:50] mic off cut all the lights in the house off and you're gonna be sitting there looking like a dummy in

[00:10:54] the dark and that's what happened first time i ever touched stage i was sitting there talking and

[00:11:02] they was laughing and i was i was telling them i was telling the last joke but it just took a little

[00:11:08] longer than i thought and then i didn't account for the laughs i was gonna get i had to stop to let them

[00:11:12] laugh right so motherfucking they cut the lights off but i had a great time i knew that's what i wanted to do

[00:11:21] forever i said oh this this was that's what this is what i need to be doing i ain't they clucking with

[00:11:26] me i had a good time i didn't get it but i'm gonna practice i'm gonna be i'm gonna get better

[00:11:32] and then three years later i won all like they the way you got to do that it's called the clash of the

[00:11:37] commons and if you win it three times you get to be a house comedian so they call you when somebody

[00:11:45] needs a host for the weekend and you get the host for the weekend you get your work at the club

[00:11:51] so i won that took me three years to win three of them and a lot of a lot of politics in between

[00:11:57] you know a lot of you know back back behind the scenes ship private beefs and you know i went

[00:12:02] through a lot of shit in my first couple years of comedy but i won those got on got the hosting

[00:12:08] posted for like another three years and people think like i'm like this meteoric rise to success like no

[00:12:14] i really worked hard like i did everything they said i was supposed to do and then did more

[00:12:18] yeah and then did the extra shit now how many years you knock it on being a comedian

[00:12:25] um this february coming will be eight years so seven and roughly a half now i know most of you

[00:12:34] comedians give each other a rough time especially when you're dealing with veterans and you know

[00:12:38] you only been in the game for so many years and so and such and i honestly i did not know you

[00:12:43] had only been in the game i was estimating at least 12 max no well you see what i learned is that a lot

[00:12:51] of comedians you know they got life going on and this is not a knock at any of them because this is

[00:12:59] real i understand that you got life going on it's real life so niggas will be working for three years

[00:13:05] straight stop for a year working for another two stop for six months and so that slows you down yeah

[00:13:12] me i've consistently done comedy every day since the day i started doing it there's not a day i don't

[00:13:21] do comedy by my by the middle of my first year i had understood the process of writing so i was writing

[00:13:29] for two hours every day in my first year my first year of comedy i did 365 performances at open mics

[00:13:37] i went to open mic seven times a week in five days because nobody was doing open mics on saturday sunday

[00:13:44] you had to get all your reps in monday through friday so i was there but i had the luxury of having

[00:13:51] dope money to finance me going to open mic every day of the week i'm not worried about

[00:13:58] getting home early i can sit there and absorb the comedic life yeah so i i i have that advantage

[00:14:07] like i don't got nobody that loves me i don't got no children i don't got no ladies so i'll be

[00:14:12] comedy my hoe problem is she she'd be with everybody she don't love none of us i keep

[00:14:18] telling all that you don't love none of us but the comedy game like i said besides you found footing

[00:14:23] in the comedy game at the same time is it therapeutic for you to do comedy

[00:14:31] at times because um

[00:14:38] what happens is i smoke a lot of weed right so one of my one of my no

[00:14:46] what i smoke a lot of weed matter of fact i ain't hit my jay in a minute you got me over there talking

[00:14:50] drunk i'm gonna get myself together real quick go right ahead sir go right ahead no so

[00:15:03] what it is is is i smoke a lot of weed and i came up with a phrase a long time ago i said i be getting

[00:15:08] high to balance out the loads like as a former drug that i i was i dibbled and dabbled in music too

[00:15:14] obviously i do dabble in rap so i got a lot of rapper friends and niggas who i with who

[00:15:20] we'd be in a studio we'd be doing tracks so i came up with a phrase i'll be getting high

[00:15:26] to balance out the loads and i know that that comedy gives me that high when i'm on stage

[00:15:37] and i know they really not ready for what's about to happen next yeah like i told i told somebody

[00:15:43] recently i said yo i don't care who's before me because if you're doing good before me i'm like

[00:15:48] if they love him they're gonna love what i'm about to say and if you're doing bad i'm like good thing

[00:15:53] they got me coming up next because i know what i'm about to i know what i'm about to to fuck them up

[00:16:00] with i got some shit in the cut that i know is gonna make them laugh right so i'll be i'll be ready

[00:16:09] for it and it's like when when you know that they're about to laugh and maybe that's the old

[00:16:18] player in me when you know you got them in the palm of your hand like you know like i got this one

[00:16:23] joke where it kind of captivates the crowd they're like hanging and they're waiting for me i'm they're

[00:16:28] not laughing and hysterical they're literally on there just like so what

[00:16:35] and and when the room erupts into laughter i pee a little bit every time just a little bit that's why

[00:16:42] i bring extra draws to the show i pee just a little bit because the the laughter sometimes it shocks

[00:16:48] you and it's like it vibrates a little bit of pee out of you yo where's sexy spirit at because you

[00:16:54] showed just sound like

[00:17:02] getting tingles in the penis all right but getting off on that comedy so you use it as a sense of uh

[00:17:08] therapy as well what has it helped you with is finding any type of healing or any type of purpose

[00:17:19] uh well real talk it helped me a lot with my relationship with my mother before she died

[00:17:28] um it it really gave me the understanding that you know tragedy plus time equals like you can

[00:17:36] find a little bit of funny in the shit and real talk it wasn't that bad you know i mean like all the

[00:17:42] shit that she did to me everything that that was wrong about what she you know my upbringing and

[00:17:48] then kind of things that she was kind of doing out there it made her like i said this at the funeral i

[00:17:56] said yo she raised a son that could live in the world without them because a lot of these niggas can't

[00:18:02] live without their mama you know what i'm saying a lot of these would fall the fuck up i seen i seen

[00:18:08] a lot of time crying and so i stood at my mother's grave like the g man i danced on my mother's grave

[00:18:14] i danced over her dead body because i probably know one time we got into an argument right

[00:18:17] and i promised i said i can't wait to dance on your grave you'll never meet my grandchildren

[00:18:22] you'll never see no grandchildren i told her that it was it was all right man you know you say

[00:18:27] fucked up shit when you're arguing she would say a lot of fucked up shit to me too but this is what i

[00:18:31] said and i own this this is my account i said i can't wait to dance on your grave you'll never see

[00:18:36] no grandchildren from me and she never saw no grandchildren from me and i hit a millie rock

[00:18:43] over her grave and and me and my sister stood there and laughed because she was like yeah you told

[00:18:47] her you was gonna do that i'm like she knew she raised the son of her were a man of his word

[00:18:51] and that's the kind of relationship we have but it's like you raised the son who's a man of his word

[00:18:57] who's motherfucking who can live in a world without you who knows how to stand tall and keep a strong

[00:19:03] stoic face and you know crying private like a real nigga crying private like a real nigga but i'm glad

[00:19:11] you do have a because most men emotional behind closed doors or out in public they don't even like

[00:19:19] to tap into their emotions so i do appreciate that you know hey i'm gonna get this out of my system

[00:19:24] oh yeah you gotta get it out you gotta get it out do my shit privately do probably be around people

[00:19:30] you really trust when you when you cry i got i got caught out there recently crying in front of a

[00:19:35] hole i shouldn't have been crying i should have actually i should have held my share i should have stayed

[00:19:41] tough i was dying i was dying in my defense i was dying i was dying i literally like the

[00:19:48] definition of dying that was me for those 10 days okay so i i trusted in the lord and you know it

[00:19:57] wasn't the lord it was there was some other took off his wig it was built above i said oh my god

[00:20:06] they caught me lacking they caught me lacking we got some got some y'all hear some wild audio of me out

[00:20:12] there but just know that i was talking to the answers i took the purple heart root but it didn't

[00:20:17] heal me i was i was on the ancestral plane talking to some people i want to go there but you know what

[00:20:24] since i've been following you on social media your ass stay in the ig headlines i ain't gonna lie

[00:20:30] i'm just like you know what i realized what it is what it is is that i really don't care so i'm

[00:20:41] i'm authentically be like i as long as it ain't on some indictment papers i don't care i don't care

[00:20:49] what you say like that's why i be telling when these niggas be getting mad at me and they be

[00:20:53] threatening me i i always tell them yo i've been threatened by more dangerous men than you

[00:20:59] i really have been like men who who i believe when they say yo when i see you like so when you

[00:21:07] say some when you got your fedora all crumped up and you in there with no socks on slide your feet

[00:21:13] and shit talk about some nigga you got three choices when i see you you got three choices

[00:21:18] you you give me a call you or you you win or you lose well look i like to win or lose

[00:21:24] niggas don't matter it ain't about winning or losing for me it's about the fight it's about

[00:21:29] the fight for me that's what i like i like the action

[00:21:35] when niggas challenge me to fights and boxing matches and shit nigga i don't care about winning

[00:21:41] you trying to box nigga i'm trying to beat your body these niggas got me up out here sometimes

[00:21:49] that's what i mean that's what i mean that's what i mean that's what i mean that's what i mean

[00:21:53] but i'll be trying to be remember that look i'm a tax-paying citizen now so i can't be doing all of

[00:22:00] that i'm trying my best here because i'm a tax-paying citizen i'm in rehab i'm in petty rehab so let

[00:22:10] me go on to the next section here so they call me petty ruxpin so you got the wrong

[00:22:17] this is the wrong wrong situation right now

[00:22:28] i said a long time ago i said all my enemies are homeless you have you been peeping that

[00:22:36] yes enemies are homeless all my enemies are homeless every single one of them are homeless

[00:22:46] i would pump the brakes but see this is the funny shit when you get into your your petty

[00:22:58] i'm not even trying to be fair this is why i need to put this cognac down this is why i stopped drinking

[00:23:03] hennessy a long time ago now they got me back and i'm in a bad mood lately it should be horrible

[00:23:10] should be hard i always get the thinking around this time of year labor day my father died around

[00:23:15] labor day so when they'd be like it was the third of september i'd be i'd be like that's when i

[00:23:22] remember i'm like damn no he didn't no because my daddy didn't die on the third of september but

[00:23:25] we were setting up the funeral arrangements around then because he died all the 28th so that always

[00:23:31] remind me damn my daddy did die a couple days ago that's why i was feeling all weird and

[00:23:36] shit man i was i was energy be real you know what i'm saying so when that when that hit today it's

[00:23:43] like the third of september that's why i sip on the lord hennessy for ron baker shout out to ronnie

[00:23:50] baker man you raised the g i lived more years than you ever did and i'm i don't know what to do

[00:23:55] sometimes i want to talk to that nigga and be like yo what would you have done when the

[00:24:08] bitch said i don't know what i didn't know what to say i just look bad i just how did you

[00:24:14] that is your damn street smarts help you in a comedy game because you know most people don't

[00:24:20] know you gotta have a little street sense in every industry that you in so how does it help you navigate

[00:24:26] comedy well it lets me know which comedians do cocaine i know i know a habit when i see it i know it

[00:24:33] i know it and i'm cool to keep that secret i'm cool to keep your secrets i'm gonna just put that

[00:24:39] out there first and foremost i'm not gonna be out here telling people you off the book of sugar

[00:24:42] you know what i mean i'm gonna keep my mind my business oh god it's just when you do pervy

[00:24:47] shit and when you touch kids or do young bitches and shit i don't be off that that's what i don't

[00:24:52] be off of okay so like if she say no that means no my nigga that's all i have to say

[00:25:00] but it lets me know like when niggas got dirt on them like i my street

[00:25:04] shit my best sense in the street was knowing niggas like so right back in the day like when

[00:25:13] i was like gang banging and shit and doing all that dumb shit my some niggas in the gang would call me

[00:25:20] the evils because i used to tell them i could look into niggas eyes and see the evils in their heart

[00:25:27] the evils and they are devils the devil so i would i would that's what i would tell the homies i'd be

[00:25:32] like oh nah he buried bro we we could get him he buried and well that was my talent like that's

[00:25:40] my trait i see the angles i see it before it happens yeah so like when i look at a lot of niggas and

[00:25:47] that's been happening a lot in comedy i can look at them and tell what they into i can know that

[00:29:48] like i've never like everybody talks about accountability right right and i don't feel

[00:29:56] like i get enough respect on the level of accountability that i have to have just as a

[00:30:01] black man in america as a black man in america like i have an ex-girlfriend she used she broke

[00:30:06] up with me because she said i'm always right and it's something wrong about that those were her

[00:30:15] exact words she's like you're just always right and there's something wrong about that you just gotta

[00:30:20] be right and i said you know i bet you right i'm a black man in america if i get it wrong one time

[00:30:27] that could be my life that could definitely be my freedom i could end up swinging from a tree

[00:30:34] i can't afford to be wrong yeah black and i'm right i can't afford to be half i can't perceive

[00:30:39] i can't be perceived to be wrong i've been having shit go on to me in these last couple months

[00:30:46] that if i had ever did them i am under the jail yeah i'm in jail y'all definitely cancel me

[00:30:57] but that's my reality as a black man yeah i understood that as a child like and that's one

[00:31:04] of the things i always thank my mother to understand me about because it's like as a black man and this

[00:31:10] is for black people not even just a man but mostly for black men yeah understand this and i will tell

[00:31:16] them this and they're gonna think this is a culture shock trigger warning for all you soft niggas trigger

[00:31:20] warning as a black man you're gonna feel handcuffs on your wrist one day you may have done nothing

[00:31:30] wrong you may be absolutely right in the situation the police may be violating you at every turn but

[00:31:37] you're gonna feel those cuffs on your wrist you need to stay cool my nigga stay cool and pray that you

[00:31:47] don't get this man amped up to a point where he wants to hurt you while he has you restrained

[00:31:54] okay know that if you really didn't do nothing at least in court you will have an opportunity to prove

[00:32:01] your innocence but right now stay cool my nigga i know the cuffs hurt i know you didn't do nothing i know

[00:32:13] you want to explain it's nothing to explain right now you're being wrong yes you are being wrong

[00:32:20] stay cool my nigga now now think think like having to think like that every day every day every single

[00:32:29] day stay cool my nigga don't let them perceive you as a threat my nigga don't lose your life because

[00:32:39] you got to speak on something my nigga and think about that like that that's that's the real thoughts of

[00:32:48] like of what a black man thinks yeah well this is right anyway just try to stay alive yeah

[00:32:55] i mean because me raising the son i gotta tell him the same thing watch your temper

[00:33:04] watch your temper because i'm telling you right now that temper is going in nobody's gonna understand your

[00:33:09] temper nobody they're gonna see a big black nigga acting a fool that's what they're gonna say

[00:33:16] that's what they're gonna say big black nigga acting a fool he reached for my gun he did that he did that

[00:33:21] stay cool my nigga and that's why i always move like that stay cool my nigga yeah stay cool
