Hosts Dave and Len break down the week’s biggest stories: Stephen A. Smith’s heated remarks at a D.C. event, the controversy over a Trump-posted AI video depicting a fighter jet dropping feces on protesters, and the rising concerns about AI deepfakes — including misuse of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s likeness.
They also discuss growing protests, notable conservatives who’ve criticized Trump, the challenges of social media and AI regulation, and close the show with a lighthearted Dave’s Corner riddle segment.

00:01:38 --> 00:01:41 Delawareblack.com black media specialist all around
00:01:41 --> 00:01:47 good guy how goes it dave and i can't call it this one day at a time we're just
00:01:47 --> 00:01:52 hanging out in this world man and it just gets more and more interesting each
00:01:52 --> 00:01:58 and every day man it really does uh you know i'll tell you it's uh,
00:02:00 --> 00:02:06 You know, it's so hard. You know, when you have a hard time trying to describe
00:02:06 --> 00:02:14 today's world, you ever notice that people have a hard time getting it out anymore?
00:02:14 --> 00:02:19 You just can't say, I love it here, or it's a great place.
00:02:19 --> 00:02:23 You know, none of that comes out of people's mouths anymore,
00:02:23 --> 00:02:25 you know, because everybody's just so perplexed.
00:02:26 --> 00:02:28 Well, you know, I thought you were going to say people don't,
00:02:28 --> 00:02:32 It's hard to say because you never know who you're talking to.
00:02:33 --> 00:02:40 Well, that's true, too. You know, it's like everyone is so politically motivated, deranged, emotional.
00:02:41 --> 00:02:42 You know, you say the wrong thing
00:02:42 --> 00:02:47 now. People are ready to hang you at the neck. Yeah. No pun intended.
00:02:48 --> 00:02:51 It's really, really a strange time, a strange place.
00:02:52 --> 00:02:57 Excuse me. I just don't understand how we got here, first of all.
00:02:58 --> 00:03:01 And while I were here. You know, it just...
00:03:03 --> 00:03:09 It's really, really sad, but I know we had a bunch of people who were marching
00:03:09 --> 00:03:14 over the weekend trying to make change and, you know, and trying to get their voices heard.
00:03:14 --> 00:03:26 Very impressive for over 2 No Kings rally marches all across the country, you know,
00:03:26 --> 00:03:30 that they said brought out over 7 million people.
00:03:30 --> 00:03:35 So that's very impressive so that says a lot as far as how people are feeling
00:03:35 --> 00:03:38 and we'll probably and we'll be talking a little bit more about that as the
00:03:38 --> 00:03:42 show goes along but you know people really,
00:03:43 --> 00:03:46 really have a lot to say and really are feeling some kind of way these days,
00:03:47 --> 00:03:55 you know we're you know in a couple weeks we'll be going into our fifth year of this podcast,
00:03:56 --> 00:04:04 and what's so interesting is how different the topics are as to when we first
00:04:04 --> 00:04:05 started out talking about things.
00:04:07 --> 00:04:14 It's like, we have one topic now that keeps giving and giving and giving and
00:04:14 --> 00:04:15 giving. You know what I mean?
00:04:16 --> 00:04:23 Mm-hmm. We could spend the rest of the next couple of years just talking about,
00:04:23 --> 00:04:26 you know, they talk about that six degrees of separation.
00:04:26 --> 00:04:29 That one topic has six degrees of separation.
00:04:29 --> 00:04:33 Right. You know? now so but you
00:04:33 --> 00:04:36 know we think about you remember what our first story
00:04:36 --> 00:04:39 was do you remember i remember one of
00:04:39 --> 00:04:41 them was the uh the people in the church
00:04:41 --> 00:04:48 who tackled the pastor yeah that was one and that's the one that was one yeah
00:04:48 --> 00:04:52 and i'm trying to remember what the lee story was though that wasn't the least
00:04:52 --> 00:04:57 i think that was like the second or third one we talked about uh but but you
00:04:57 --> 00:05:00 know But keep in mind, that's what we were talking about.
00:05:00 --> 00:05:05 You know, now we can't talk about, we talk about all kinds of other stuff that
00:05:05 --> 00:05:10 seems to be related to one particular thing. That's all I'm going to say. So...
00:05:11 --> 00:05:14 But here we are i mean we're blessed to be able to
00:05:14 --> 00:05:17 say we're going to go five years in i mean
00:05:17 --> 00:05:19 whoever thought that conversation you
00:05:19 --> 00:05:22 and i have will lead us five years later down the road you
00:05:22 --> 00:05:25 know right yeah i know
00:05:25 --> 00:05:28 i mean and folks it's been hard because
00:05:28 --> 00:05:31 i've been trying to keep this guy on the straight and narrow you
00:05:31 --> 00:05:34 know trying to keep him involved in this show
00:05:34 --> 00:05:37 you know he dips out on me from time to
00:05:37 --> 00:05:40 time you know then he acts like
00:05:40 --> 00:05:43 you know he's the star of the show i mean
00:05:43 --> 00:05:46 i don't get it i really don't get it but you
00:05:46 --> 00:05:50 know he wants to change he wants to change the name to len and dave and all
00:05:50 --> 00:05:54 of this kind of stuff or he wants to drop dave altogether you know but you know
00:05:54 --> 00:05:58 of course we're not gonna let him do that so i'm just saying that yeah well
00:05:58 --> 00:06:03 dave you know it's kind of like i'm puffy your mace you know i mean like i'm
00:06:03 --> 00:06:04 i'm suge knight you dr dre.
00:06:08 --> 00:06:15 I'd rather be Dr. Dre you know but anyway but in all seriousness,
00:06:17 --> 00:06:21 for all of you guys that have been listening to us either all the years that
00:06:21 --> 00:06:25 we've been on or for the majority of the time that we've been on and we also
00:06:25 --> 00:06:28 want to thank our new listeners as well thank you for hanging in with us and
00:06:28 --> 00:06:31 thank you for supporting the show alright,
00:06:32 --> 00:06:35 so So, all right, I guess we got a few things to talk about tonight.
00:06:37 --> 00:06:42 Let's see. I wanted to start off with the story of.
00:06:43 --> 00:06:52 Actually, let's just do this. Let's play the sound to this, and we'll have a
00:06:52 --> 00:06:53 little discussion afterwards.
00:06:54 --> 00:06:57 Can I say something? Okay. I just want to say. There it is.
00:06:58 --> 00:07:00 I'm trying to be very respectful to everybody because they deserve it.
00:07:00 --> 00:07:03 By the way, this is Stephen A. Smith. Because you deserve it.
00:07:03 --> 00:07:06 But let me say this. Hold on, do you want to intro it at all? Are you okay?
00:07:07 --> 00:07:13 No. We'll just say, this is Stephen A. Smith talking to a bunch of people from D.C.
00:07:13 --> 00:07:17 And you'll kind of figure it out as you listen.
00:07:18 --> 00:07:19 I don't think...
00:07:20 --> 00:07:24 Washington understands how ticked off we truly are.
00:07:24 --> 00:07:27 Think about the conversation that we're having right now. You brought up the
00:07:27 --> 00:07:30 single payer system, emulating Canada.
00:07:30 --> 00:07:35 You know, we're looking at a president that just gave 20 billion to Argentina.
00:07:35 --> 00:07:40 We're hearing about or witnessing what I consider to be a retribution tour.
00:07:40 --> 00:07:44 And even though to some degree I don't blame him because of how people went
00:07:44 --> 00:07:47 after him, still it appears to be counterproductive.
00:07:47 --> 00:07:52 We're listening to this kind of stuff while a young man walked up to the microphone
00:07:52 --> 00:07:58 and said that he had to leave here to go and work on DoorDash to help pay for
00:07:58 --> 00:07:59 his daughter's tuition.
00:08:00 --> 00:08:04 Meanwhile, everybody up here getting paid. But he ain't.
00:08:05 --> 00:08:09 This is this kind of stuff right here.
00:08:10 --> 00:08:14 That's how you know. And I'm not accusing any of you directly or personally
00:08:14 --> 00:08:16 of feeling this way. I'm just talking about the apparatus.
00:08:17 --> 00:08:19 That is Washington, the nation's capital.
00:08:19 --> 00:08:24 This is why you have so many Americans, excuse my language, so pissed off at
00:08:24 --> 00:08:29 Washington because somehow, some way, you get to have these conversations,
00:08:30 --> 00:08:36 engage in specific elements of it to talk about what we need to do to get things better.
00:08:36 --> 00:08:39 Our debt is $37.8 trillion.
00:08:40 --> 00:08:45 Somehow, some way, the taxpayers been paying this, been throwing money,
00:08:45 --> 00:08:46 because we all look at our check.
00:08:47 --> 00:08:50 And it's been going to the government. And somehow, some way you're supposed
00:08:50 --> 00:08:54 to be doing something constructive and productive enough to make sure that we
00:08:54 --> 00:08:56 don't have that kind of deficit. It isn't happening.
00:08:57 --> 00:09:00 A government shutdown is going on right now.
00:09:00 --> 00:09:03 A man has to work on DoorDash.
00:09:04 --> 00:09:09 When he's really an air traffic controller that we applauded and we're up here
00:09:09 --> 00:09:12 talking about how much some money is going to cost.
00:09:12 --> 00:09:15 And the only person that don't have a check coming is him.
00:09:15 --> 00:09:18 You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to take a break.
00:09:20 --> 00:09:24 All right. Are you going to say something? I just want to say. There it is.
00:09:25 --> 00:09:29 Okay. Yeah. So that was Stephen A. Smith, like I said earlier,
00:09:29 --> 00:09:33 talking to a bunch of Washington, D.C., political.
00:09:34 --> 00:09:37 Well, they were Republicans, actually. They all were.
00:09:38 --> 00:09:42 And, you know, you guys heard what he had to say, and especially him.
00:09:43 --> 00:09:47 You know, I think what really got him upset was, you know, he said there was
00:09:47 --> 00:09:51 a young man there that spoke, you know, came to the mic earlier and asked a question.
00:09:51 --> 00:09:55 But said that he couldn't stay because he had to go,
00:09:56 --> 00:10:00 and he's an air traffic controller, said that he had to go work DoorDash to
00:10:00 --> 00:10:06 get money coming in because he's on furlough right now and he has no money coming in.
00:10:07 --> 00:10:12 Meanwhile, all the people sitting up on the stage, all, you know,
00:10:13 --> 00:10:18 working there in D.C., all federal employees because they're political employees,
00:10:19 --> 00:10:20 were still getting paid.
00:10:20 --> 00:10:27 And that's been a common conversation with a lot of folks, or how these political
00:10:27 --> 00:10:33 types are still getting paid while the people who, you know,
00:10:34 --> 00:10:39 the non-essential people and so forth and so forth, either been laid off or
00:10:39 --> 00:10:43 on furlough and not getting paid. Stephen A.
00:10:43 --> 00:10:51 Smith who has aspirations and has toyed with the idea of getting into the political
00:10:51 --> 00:10:57 arena he had a lot to say there you know and as he talked.
00:10:58 --> 00:11:04 As he talked, you can feel his temperature rising because he was pretty pissed
00:11:04 --> 00:11:08 off, as you said, in reference to what's going on.
00:11:09 --> 00:11:16 What was your thoughts on what he said and what he had to say?
00:11:17 --> 00:11:21 Yeah, you know, Dave, truthfully, I just wasn't buying it. I feel like he was
00:11:21 --> 00:11:23 just playing to the audience,
00:11:25 --> 00:11:33 because, you know, I mean, it's almost like, what is it? A snake doesn't change its colors, you know?
00:11:33 --> 00:11:37 So, I mean, I hear what he's saying, but, you know, I mean, I think it's easy
00:11:37 --> 00:11:38 for anybody to say that, you know?
00:11:39 --> 00:11:41 The question is, does he believe it?
00:11:42 --> 00:11:46 And, you know, what would he do to be different? And I feel like the stuff that
00:11:46 --> 00:11:51 we've heard him say, a lot of it to me has sounded anti-Black.
00:11:52 --> 00:11:55 And, you know, we already know that, you know, he has some issue with women,
00:11:55 --> 00:11:59 you know, so I know a lot of women, specifically black women feel a certain way.
00:12:00 --> 00:12:05 So even though it's almost like where they say a clock is right twice a day.
00:12:06 --> 00:12:09 You know, so that that's kind of how I kind of took this message,
00:12:09 --> 00:12:13 like a clock being right twice a day where, you know, I still don't buy it.
00:12:13 --> 00:12:15 I don't think he's a changed person.
00:12:16 --> 00:12:21 You know, I you know, I could I couldn't even rah rah for this message too much.
00:12:21 --> 00:12:27 I mean, like we know it's true, but I just don't feel that his motive and his
00:12:27 --> 00:12:31 intentions behind that message are in the right frame of mind.
00:12:32 --> 00:12:36 OK, no, I get it. And then Stephen A.
00:12:36 --> 00:12:41 Smith has had, in the past, you know, he's been considered to be a,
00:12:42 --> 00:12:46 excuse me, a hype person who likes attention.
00:12:46 --> 00:12:49 And, of course, he's always been an attention grabber.
00:12:50 --> 00:12:53 I mean, after all, you know, he has a TV show called First Take.
00:12:54 --> 00:12:58 That's all he does is give his take on things, you know.
00:12:58 --> 00:13:04 And a lot of it is gaslighting, as folks like to say these days.
00:13:05 --> 00:13:09 And actually, I guess you can look at it in a certain way. That's what he was
00:13:09 --> 00:13:11 doing just then, gaslighting people.
00:13:12 --> 00:13:20 I do think, though, that what he said makes a lot of sense because he didn't
00:13:20 --> 00:13:21 say anything that was wrong.
00:13:22 --> 00:13:28 Those people sitting up on the stage with him, including himself,
00:13:28 --> 00:13:34 even though he's not a federal employee, but, you know, are still getting paid.
00:13:34 --> 00:13:36 The young man that he spoke of
00:13:36 --> 00:13:43 that was there and had to leave to go do DoorDash, he wasn't getting paid,
00:13:43 --> 00:13:50 and he had to go out and do DoorDash, and I'm sure he's not the only one that had to do that.
00:13:53 --> 00:14:01 Now, it would have been more credible if he said, with that being said,
00:14:01 --> 00:14:04 I'm done with this, I'm leaving.
00:14:05 --> 00:14:09 He said, I got to take a break. That meant he was coming back.
00:14:10 --> 00:14:13 And he wasn't going anywhere because, of course, quite naturally,
00:14:14 --> 00:14:16 he gets to do some more grandstanding.
00:14:16 --> 00:14:22 I think his heart was in the right place. I do feel that some of what he said
00:14:22 --> 00:14:26 was on point but then it's Stephen A.
00:14:26 --> 00:14:31 Smith and we all have our issues with Stephen A.
00:14:31 --> 00:14:41 Smith you know he's one of us when he needs to be or chooses to be but we know
00:14:41 --> 00:14:49 that he not only does not only black women but he's also had issues with certain celebrity figures.
00:14:49 --> 00:14:55 I mean, you know, he's had issues with LeBron for years, and there's a number
00:14:55 --> 00:14:59 of guys that he has had issues with. So...
00:15:00 --> 00:15:04 We, you know, I saw that clip and I just wanted to feel because I wanted to
00:15:04 --> 00:15:06 know if people felt it was sincere or not.
00:15:07 --> 00:15:10 Obviously, you don't feel he was being sincere. Nope.
00:15:11 --> 00:15:18 Not at all. Tell us how you really feel. You know, and, you know, and I get it.
00:15:18 --> 00:15:21 I get it because it is him and it's hard to believe.
00:15:21 --> 00:15:24 But I'm just curious to know what our audience thinks.
00:15:25 --> 00:15:33 Was that sincere? was he really standing up for the little people,
00:15:33 --> 00:15:35 I'm going to say, in this case.
00:15:35 --> 00:15:39 I mean, we know he's making money. We know those other people on the stage were,
00:15:39 --> 00:15:42 you know, making money. They're all getting paid very well.
00:15:43 --> 00:15:46 So was he standing up for the little people, or was he standing up for himself
00:15:46 --> 00:15:48 and trying to make himself look good?
00:15:49 --> 00:15:53 You guys have to tell us what you guys think and let us know. All right?
00:15:54 --> 00:15:58 All right. we're going to move on to our next story,
00:15:59 --> 00:16:04 alright you know I really felt I really fought with myself about this story
00:16:04 --> 00:16:11 Leonard I really did I kept seeing it popped up and then you sent it to me again
00:16:11 --> 00:16:17 so I said I said I guess I have to talk about this story you know we have to talk about it so,
00:16:17 --> 00:16:25 I don't know if you guys have seen or heard about this AI video of the President
00:16:25 --> 00:16:29 of the United States, which he approved of, and he actually,
00:16:30 --> 00:16:31 allowed to go out.
00:16:33 --> 00:16:38 That, well, let me just go into the story, you know, because it's an unbelievable
00:16:38 --> 00:16:41 story about, and it just says a lot about the person who,
00:16:42 --> 00:16:46 Leading our country. I had to check what I was saying just in the letter.
00:16:47 --> 00:16:48 I was curious to say something else.
00:16:49 --> 00:16:54 All right. So President Donald Trump, I'm not even going to read the headline.
00:16:54 --> 00:16:55 I'm just going to go into the story.
00:16:56 --> 00:17:01 President Donald Trump on Saturday posted an AI-generated video.
00:17:01 --> 00:17:08 Now keep in mind, it said President Donald Trump posted an AI-generated video.
00:17:08 --> 00:17:12 So he did this, depicting himself in a fighter jet.
00:17:13 --> 00:17:18 Dropping what appears to be feces on U.S. protesters.
00:17:19 --> 00:17:27 The 19-second video features Trump wearing a crown in a fighter jet labeled King Trump.
00:17:27 --> 00:17:33 He posted the video to the Truth Social account following Saturday's nationwide
00:17:33 --> 00:17:41 No Kings rallies that were organized in protest of Trump and his administration.
00:17:41 --> 00:17:46 The video shows Trump dropping the appearance, fecal matter,
00:17:47 --> 00:17:52 on someone who looks like a left-wing influencer.
00:17:52 --> 00:17:55 How do you look like a left-wing influencer?
00:17:55 --> 00:17:57 I just thought about that.
00:17:58 --> 00:18:02 I probably look like a good old boy. I know, that's interesting.
00:18:02 --> 00:18:09 It says, Harry Sisson and other protesters gathered in an area that seems to
00:18:09 --> 00:18:11 be Times Square in New York City.
00:18:12 --> 00:18:19 Can a reporter please ask Trump why he posted an AI video of himself dropping
00:18:19 --> 00:18:23 poop on me on a fighter jet, Sisson tweeted.
00:18:23 --> 00:18:26 That would be great, thanks.
00:18:26 --> 00:18:33 Vice President J.D. Vance responded to Sisson, tweeting, I'll ask him for you, Harry.
00:18:34 --> 00:18:38 Okay, we know Vance ain't going to do but so much anyway.
00:18:38 --> 00:18:42 The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
00:18:43 --> 00:18:48 Trump has posted a number of AI-generated videos to hit back at his critics in recent months.
00:18:48 --> 00:18:50 The president has posted dozens
00:18:50 --> 00:18:55 of such videos to his true social account over the last nine months.
00:18:56 --> 00:19:05 An NBC News review earlier this month found with roughly half of his AI-generated
00:19:05 --> 00:19:07 posts coming in August and September.
00:19:08 --> 00:19:15 The video featured the song Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins playing in the background.
00:19:15 --> 00:19:22 On Monday, Kenny Loggins said, let's see, Kenny Loggins said this,
00:19:22 --> 00:19:25 if I can get to it here, in a statement.
00:19:25 --> 00:19:35 And he said that he is requesting his recording in the AI-generated footage
00:19:35 --> 00:19:38 to be removed immediately.
00:19:38 --> 00:19:45 I can't imagine why anybody would want their music used or associated with someone
00:19:45 --> 00:19:51 or something created with the sole purpose of dividing us, Loggins said.
00:19:52 --> 00:19:57 Too many people are trying to tear us apart. and we need to find new ways to come together.
00:19:58 --> 00:20:02 We're all Americans and we're all patriotic.
00:20:03 --> 00:20:12 There is no us versus them. That's not who we are, nor is it what we should be. It's all of us.
00:20:13 --> 00:20:19 We're in this together, and it's my hope that we can embrace music as a way
00:20:19 --> 00:20:24 of celebrating and uniting each other, every one of us.
00:20:25 --> 00:20:30 He said, and then it goes on to say, No Kings protest organizers said nearly
00:20:30 --> 00:20:36 7 million people showed up for the more than 2 demonstrations that took
00:20:36 --> 00:20:38 place across the country on Saturday.
00:20:38 --> 00:20:46 That was 2 million more people than attended the previous No Kings protest in June.
00:20:47 --> 00:20:52 You know, now, I feel bad about this, but I didn't know they had done this in June. Did you?
00:20:53 --> 00:20:56 Yeah. You didn't hear about it? Yeah, there's a second one.
00:20:57 --> 00:21:03 Okay. Well, apparently, you know, they had over 7 million this time around.
00:21:03 --> 00:21:05 So there's a lot more people upset now.
00:21:05 --> 00:21:09 So I wonder why, you know, so.
00:21:09 --> 00:21:13 But what's your thoughts on all of this? What do you think he was trying to
00:21:13 --> 00:21:19 do? And why does he think that would be a smart thing to do,
00:21:19 --> 00:21:24 to show that video, to release that video the way that it was released?
00:21:25 --> 00:21:34 You know, Dave, I'm really not sure. You know, I think we've known that Donald Trump has done...
00:21:35 --> 00:21:40 Everything he could like just push the limits on what we think is respectable,
00:21:41 --> 00:21:43 intelligent, admirable.
00:21:43 --> 00:21:46 You know, I mean, it's just, you know, Dave, I would I mean,
00:21:46 --> 00:21:49 like how low can he stoop, you know?
00:21:49 --> 00:21:53 And, you know, I know back in the day and maybe even recently,
00:21:53 --> 00:21:57 like, you know, even if we didn't agree with the president, they were kind of
00:21:57 --> 00:22:01 classy and mature in their own way.
00:22:02 --> 00:22:07 And Donald Trump showed none of this. You know, it's almost like in my mind,
00:22:07 --> 00:22:10 when I see some of this stuff, I think of like a five-year-old toddler,
00:22:11 --> 00:22:13 you know, when they like something.
00:22:13 --> 00:22:17 Oh, this is great. It's the best. It's gorgeous.
00:22:17 --> 00:22:22 And when they don't like something, it's the worst. You know, it's despicable.
00:22:22 --> 00:22:26 They're liars. You know, I mean, it's just weird. It's almost like,
00:22:26 --> 00:22:29 I don't know. I mean, to be honest, I feel like he's a big kid.
00:22:29 --> 00:22:33 And, you know, of course, I'm sure he does not run his social media.
00:22:34 --> 00:22:36 But I'm guessing he told them to do whatever they want to do.
00:22:37 --> 00:22:41 And I don't know, Dave, maybe it's a bunch of five-year-olds running social media. Like, who knows?
00:22:43 --> 00:22:50 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, but do you think he actually was the person to say,
00:22:51 --> 00:22:52 okay, we're going to put this video out?
00:22:53 --> 00:22:58 Do I think he approved it or do I think he actually hit the send button?
00:22:59 --> 00:23:04 Yeah, well, both of them. Well, I'm sure he does not operate his own social
00:23:04 --> 00:23:06 media. I'm sure he has a team.
00:23:06 --> 00:23:11 Did he approve it? I feel like something like this he would have had to approve.
00:23:11 --> 00:23:16 You know what I mean? I mean, because, you know, I think not only does he,
00:23:17 --> 00:23:20 well, he does not want to turn his base off too.
00:23:20 --> 00:23:24 So, you know, and I personally, I would think some of the older Republicans
00:23:24 --> 00:23:28 would be kind of embarrassed by the way he's acting because,
00:23:28 --> 00:23:34 you know, they were Republicans all their life and they were with Bush and the other Bush.
00:23:34 --> 00:23:38 And shoot, I'm not sure who are the other Republicans before that, before Trump.
00:23:39 --> 00:23:43 Well, you have Reagan, you have Reagan, you have both Bush. Yeah.
00:23:43 --> 00:23:47 I mean, you know, if you just think about and I won't even say classy,
00:23:47 --> 00:23:52 but just mature and, you know, politically elegant they were.
00:23:53 --> 00:23:59 And then you have Trump, you know, riding over protesters in a Air Force plane
00:23:59 --> 00:24:03 airplane dropping loads of manure on like I don't know.
00:24:05 --> 00:24:08 You know it's like a big kid you know,
00:24:10 --> 00:24:17 well not just a kid but a bully you know and you know I guess he just has all
00:24:17 --> 00:24:24 these people these flunkies around that are going to say yes to whatever he does well you know J.D.
00:24:25 --> 00:24:29 Vance said oh you want me to call him for you you know that's all you got to
00:24:29 --> 00:24:35 say about that so you know when you look at When you look at this whole thing
00:24:35 --> 00:24:37 and you can tell, you know,
00:24:37 --> 00:24:41 that that's like a bully type move, you know,
00:24:42 --> 00:24:49 my thoughts always goes to where's the vice president under his last administration?
00:24:50 --> 00:24:55 Anybody ever to hear from Mike Pence? Yep. Did you hear from him?
00:24:56 --> 00:25:00 Does he say anything? Yes, he does. He is against Trump.
00:25:00 --> 00:25:06 And he, yeah, he lets it be known. Yeah, but you don't see a lot of him.
00:25:06 --> 00:25:07 He's not that visible, though.
00:25:07 --> 00:25:11 Come on. You know, I think he's not that visible because he's just not in that
00:25:11 --> 00:25:15 position. I mean, and, you know, I think he's someone who's always been under the radar.
00:25:16 --> 00:25:19 So, you know, I mean, even before Trump picked him, like, we never heard of
00:25:19 --> 00:25:22 him before then. Right, right, right.
00:25:22 --> 00:25:26 Yeah, well, I mean. But yeah, they are not friends.
00:25:28 --> 00:25:32 Yeah, we know they're not friends. Yes. I always said that he's in some bunker
00:25:32 --> 00:25:35 somewhere hiding from Trump. That's what I say to me.
00:25:36 --> 00:25:40 You know, that's what I think, you know, but he definitely disassociated himself from him.
00:25:40 --> 00:25:47 And sure that, you know, once this run is over with Trump and Vance,
00:25:47 --> 00:25:49 Vance has disappeared too, you know, so,
00:25:49 --> 00:25:55 but, you know, you, it's, it's really a shame that you, that you get some kind
00:25:55 --> 00:25:59 of joy out of putting, putting out a video like that.
00:25:59 --> 00:26:05 And you know and I like what Kenny I like that Kenny Logan stood up and said
00:26:05 --> 00:26:09 hey look I don't want my music associated with something like that you know
00:26:09 --> 00:26:12 and I would hate to think any,
00:26:13 --> 00:26:16 any artist would do it, but we know there would be.
00:26:17 --> 00:26:22 We could see Kanye doing something like that, you know, so you never know.
00:26:23 --> 00:26:28 So, but I just thought it was a terrible thing for a president to do.
00:26:28 --> 00:26:32 It's not funny. It's not even close to being funny.
00:26:33 --> 00:26:39 And those people were all, there were 2 different rallies.
00:26:39 --> 00:26:41 Did you hear about anything bad going on?
00:26:42 --> 00:26:45 Not a one. not a one if there
00:26:45 --> 00:26:48 was anything being going on it probably was being
00:26:48 --> 00:26:51 harassed by the the police or whatever the case
00:26:51 --> 00:26:54 may be so but you didn't
00:26:54 --> 00:26:57 they were all peaceful rallies people did
00:26:57 --> 00:27:02 they went out in march and you know and they're basically telling you hey we
00:27:02 --> 00:27:08 know what you're trying to do and we don't want it you know i mean you know
00:27:08 --> 00:27:15 and he's gonna drop a video king trump come on now what kind of mess you know but.
00:27:17 --> 00:27:24 We spend almost every moment of the day talking about stuff that he does or
00:27:24 --> 00:27:30 what he doesn't do and yet he's still present in the United States I just don't get it,
00:27:31 --> 00:27:34 is something truly truly wrong I don't know,
00:27:35 --> 00:27:39 better being quiet over there I guess no I mean you know he just reminded me
00:27:39 --> 00:27:45 of a big kid having temper tantrums You know, like, when he likes something, he loves it.
00:27:45 --> 00:27:49 When he hates it, he hates it. And that could switch any minute. Yeah.
00:27:51 --> 00:27:55 They get medicine for that kind of stuff. You know that, right? Yeah.
00:27:58 --> 00:28:04 Well, you know, if you guys happen to see the video, it is one of the most disgusting
00:28:04 --> 00:28:09 videos I've ever seen. So I just, you know, I want to know if you guys feel
00:28:09 --> 00:28:11 the same way. So just let us know. All right?
00:28:13 --> 00:28:20 All right, let's move on to our next story. Yep, so Dave, I thought this one was interesting.
00:28:20 --> 00:28:26 I want to bring it up on my phone instead of on, uh-oh, did I lose it?
00:28:27 --> 00:28:30 Hold on. We're here, Dave. Talk to me real quick while I bring it up.
00:28:31 --> 00:28:33 Hey, Leonard. Hey, how you doing?
00:28:33 --> 00:28:36 How you doing? Okay, so I got it now.
00:28:37 --> 00:28:43 Okay. You know, technical issues. So I saw this article today and I thought
00:28:43 --> 00:28:44 it was very interesting.
00:28:45 --> 00:28:49 And I just want to put this out here. I have not fact checked this.
00:28:49 --> 00:28:52 Oh, here we go. I'm not speaking on this on accuracy.
00:28:53 --> 00:28:56 Okay. Are you on some Tasha Kay kind of stuff? No, no, no, no.
00:28:57 --> 00:28:59 Definitely not gossip and rumors. Okay.
00:29:00 --> 00:29:06 But the article is 12 MAGA supporters who have turned their back on Trump.
00:29:07 --> 00:29:10 And, you know, when I first heard it, it just kind of made me think, Okay.
00:29:10 --> 00:29:13 You know, I can definitely see it because, you know, Dave, kind of like,
00:29:13 --> 00:29:16 and I love saying this because it comes true every week.
00:29:17 --> 00:29:22 The longer Trump is in office, the more and more people who slowly start to,
00:29:22 --> 00:29:26 I'll just say, open their eyes, come around, you know, see the truth.
00:29:27 --> 00:29:32 So I'm going to go real quickly. Some of these people I'm not as familiar with,
00:29:32 --> 00:29:35 and then some of these people we're very familiar with.
00:29:35 --> 00:29:43 So the first person, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and it says that she criticized
00:29:43 --> 00:29:50 Trump on his handling of the Epstein files and that she classified Republican men as weak.
00:29:50 --> 00:29:55 So, you know, I think that was interesting. Yeah, I did see something the other
00:29:55 --> 00:29:59 day about seats walling on the paper with him.
00:30:00 --> 00:30:05 Number two, did I skip two? Joe Rogan.
00:30:05 --> 00:30:10 The Joe Rogan podcast. He was one of the biggest supporters. He was.
00:30:10 --> 00:30:20 And he said that he felt like Trump deportation tactics and the images that
00:30:20 --> 00:30:23 we've seen online have been horrific.
00:30:24 --> 00:30:28 And he said that there's got to be a better way to do this.
00:30:29 --> 00:30:34 Okay, so, you know, I thought that was interesting. So number three is one of
00:30:34 --> 00:30:38 Dave's favorite black women, Candace Owens.
00:30:39 --> 00:30:41 Oh, yeah. Yeah, one of my favorites, definitely.
00:30:42 --> 00:30:49 Yep. And so apparently in June, she called Trump a chronic disappointment,
00:30:49 --> 00:30:53 and that was following his handling of Israel.
00:30:54 --> 00:30:58 And then after her good friend Charlie Kirk's death,
00:30:59 --> 00:31:04 she accused their administration of playing games with the truth,
00:31:04 --> 00:31:11 and she vowed to expose what she believes is a cover-up surrounding the Epstein files.
00:31:12 --> 00:31:15 So, you know, I thought that was interesting. I'm like, okay,
00:31:15 --> 00:31:19 because you know Candace is going to go in. Yes, yes, you can't.
00:31:19 --> 00:31:23 When she gets on her soapbox, man, you definitely can hear her roar.
00:31:24 --> 00:31:27 And, you know, Candace Smith, kind of what we were talking about, Stephen A. Smith.
00:31:28 --> 00:31:31 Hold on, is it Candace Owens? Oh, I'm sorry.
00:31:31 --> 00:31:36 I'm combining them. But, you know, Candace Owens kind of reminded me of what
00:31:36 --> 00:31:37 I spoke about, Stephen A.
00:31:37 --> 00:31:40 Smith, where, like, the clock is right twice a day.
00:31:41 --> 00:31:43 Because, you know, most of the time I don't agree with her, but every once in
00:31:43 --> 00:31:48 a while I'll hear something and, you know, it'll kind of be like that Stephen Smith, I need a break.
00:31:48 --> 00:31:52 You know type thing yeah she
00:31:52 --> 00:31:55 has a lot to say yeah so david number four and
00:31:55 --> 00:31:58 i'm not really as familiar with this person i've heard the name
00:31:58 --> 00:32:06 lauren bobert lauren bobert yeah so i know that she is oh okay so she's a colorado
00:32:06 --> 00:32:15 rep house of representatives and she had broken ranks with Trump because she
00:32:15 --> 00:32:18 believes that the Epstein files should be released.
00:32:18 --> 00:32:23 And she, she called for a special investigation and criticized the white house
00:32:23 --> 00:32:26 administration for withholding evidence.
00:32:28 --> 00:32:32 Yep. The next person is one of Dave's people, Elon Musk.
00:32:33 --> 00:32:42 And he also accused the president in his legislation of mishandling the Epstein
00:32:42 --> 00:32:50 files and suggested that Trump's name may even be on the Epstein list. Dun, dun, dun.
00:32:51 --> 00:32:57 Yeah, I'm sure that he knows a lot. The next couple of people I'm going to speed
00:32:57 --> 00:33:01 through, come out as familiar with, I can't provide any additional commentary.
00:33:01 --> 00:33:03 Dave, if you can, you can stop me.
00:33:04 --> 00:33:11 Podcaster Andrew Schultz suggested that lying to Americans is not America first
00:33:11 --> 00:33:14 and calling out Trump on his own platform.
00:33:14 --> 00:33:18 Then we have Rand Paul, a Kentucky senator.
00:33:19 --> 00:33:25 And he said he had an issue with the big, beautiful bill that Trump said is
00:33:25 --> 00:33:29 big and it's beautiful and it's the best bill out there. You know,
00:33:29 --> 00:33:30 so he had an issue with that.
00:33:30 --> 00:33:32 So he kind of blasted.
00:33:32 --> 00:33:39 Trump blasted him back and Rand Paul did not back down. So there was a little bit of tension there.
00:33:39 --> 00:33:44 The next person, Tucker Carlson. So I'm sure we're all pretty familiar with him.
00:33:46 --> 00:33:54 And he's concerned that Trump's policies could trigger civil disobedience if
00:33:54 --> 00:33:59 free speech is targeted. And this was after Jimmy Fallon, you know, was kind of off the air.
00:34:00 --> 00:34:07 The next person, I've never heard this name, John F. Kell. So I guess former
00:34:07 --> 00:34:08 Secretary of Homeland Security.
00:34:09 --> 00:34:15 And he called Trump's leadership as a dictator and a fascist. Wow.
00:34:16 --> 00:34:24 Then we have a podcaster named Dave Smith, who said that Trump's recent actions
00:34:24 --> 00:34:28 have been a betrayal on everything that he ran for.
00:34:29 --> 00:34:31 Dave, I got one question for you.
00:34:32 --> 00:34:35 Have the price of eggs gone down for you? Nope.
00:34:36 --> 00:34:41 All right. The next person, Nikki Haley, former U.N.
00:34:42 --> 00:34:47 Ambassador, and she also clashed with Trump over the Epstein files.
00:34:47 --> 00:34:51 She said, release the files and let the chips fall where they may.
00:34:52 --> 00:35:00 And then the last one is Roseanne Barr, and she's criticized Trump also for the Epstein files.
00:35:00 --> 00:35:04 So it really appears a lot of people. A lot of people are tied to these Epstein files.
00:35:05 --> 00:35:08 Yeah. it must be some stuff in there,
00:35:09 --> 00:35:13 we know because you know every time someone mentions Epstein around Trump he's
00:35:13 --> 00:35:20 like oh who I might have known him but there's all kinds of pictures of the two of them together,
00:35:21 --> 00:35:24 they got a statue together.
00:35:26 --> 00:35:35 They do I mean I mean please release that someday, please release it.
00:35:37 --> 00:35:41 Yeah, because you know, and he's doing all he can. I think that's why he does
00:35:41 --> 00:35:43 some of the stuff that he does.
00:35:43 --> 00:35:48 Distraction. Yeah, distraction. You know, to keep it from happening, you know, so yeah.
00:35:49 --> 00:35:52 Somebody needs to go ahead and do it. Yeah,
00:35:54 --> 00:35:56 but then he'll probably, he'll probably talk his way out of it,
00:35:57 --> 00:36:01 whatever it's being said, because Epstein's gone, you know?
00:36:02 --> 00:36:07 And so, and you know, he figures it's going to be his word against everything else.
00:36:08 --> 00:36:13 Yeah. So, I mean, you know, he, he's going to do what he does best.
00:36:13 --> 00:36:18 Deny, deny, deny, Yeah. There you go. There you go. Wow.
00:36:21 --> 00:36:27 Well, Trump says, ah, that's a little bit of numbers. I like big numbers. It's only 12.
00:36:27 --> 00:36:30 I got all these other people that support me, you know?
00:36:30 --> 00:36:37 So, you know, I'm surprised you didn't say Mr. Scott or Mr.
00:36:38 --> 00:36:46 Walker or, you know? Well, you heard he made Herschel Walker like ambassador
00:36:46 --> 00:36:51 to Bahamas or something like that, Virgin Island or something.
00:36:53 --> 00:36:56 Yeah, because that's where his family's from, right? Isn't this people from
00:36:56 --> 00:36:58 there? Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, yeah.
00:37:00 --> 00:37:05 Yeah. People, you know, they figure you give him that job probably to show people
00:37:05 --> 00:37:07 that he did something for them. Right.
00:37:08 --> 00:37:10 Yeah, so. Whatever.
00:37:12 --> 00:37:20 I tell you, there's a, I, folks, we promise you, we didn't plan on talking about Trump all night.
00:37:20 --> 00:37:24 We promise you that it just, this is where we are, you know?
00:37:24 --> 00:37:29 So we have to, you know, we're reporting what we read, what we read, you know?
00:37:29 --> 00:37:33 So let me see if I can get off of it a little bit with this next story.
00:37:33 --> 00:37:41 So this next story, OpenAI bans the use of Martin Luther King Jr.'s likeness,
00:37:42 --> 00:37:47 as the viral AI videos spark outrage. Now, I don't know.
00:37:47 --> 00:37:52 It's funny that I came across this because I've been noticing these AI,
00:37:53 --> 00:37:56 different AI things that come up with Martin Luther King, Dr.
00:37:56 --> 00:37:58 Martin, let me respect him, Dr.
00:37:58 --> 00:38:04 Martin Luther King in these videos in very precarious situations or dressed
00:38:04 --> 00:38:12 a certain way or just totally outside of who we knew him to be.
00:38:13 --> 00:38:16 Okay and and i was saying to myself every
00:38:16 --> 00:38:20 time i see one of these videos and i don't care how creative it
00:38:20 --> 00:38:23 may be i was saying to myself this
00:38:23 --> 00:38:28 is so disrespectful why would you do this and i've also seen him with malcolm
00:38:28 --> 00:38:33 x have you seen any of these videos yeah i've seen him with tupac and a yeah
00:38:33 --> 00:38:39 yeah i mean it's crazy it's it's crazy so i saw the story i wanted to talk a
00:38:39 --> 00:38:40 little bit about to the story.
00:38:42 --> 00:38:48 Following Dr. Bernice King's criticism, OpenAI says it will boost protection
00:38:48 --> 00:38:52 for historical figures like Martin Luther King Jr.
00:38:52 --> 00:38:59 And its AI tools. If you've seen videos of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
00:39:00 --> 00:39:05 Delivering new speeches or joining TikTok trends, those clips may soon disappear
00:39:05 --> 00:39:12 from your feed, at least the ones created by OpenAI's new video generator, Sora.
00:39:12 --> 00:39:17 And that's S-O-R-A for those who wanted to know how that was spelled.
00:39:18 --> 00:39:23 After Dr. King's daughter, Bernice King, denounced the use of AI to reimage
00:39:23 --> 00:39:32 her father, OpenAI announced it has paused generation's depiction of Dr. King.
00:39:32 --> 00:39:38 In a post shared to X Thursday night, the company said the decision was made
00:39:38 --> 00:39:43 in collaboration with the King estate. The estate of Dr.
00:39:46 --> 00:39:47 Martin Luther King, Inc.
00:39:49 --> 00:39:53 And OpenAI has worked together to address how Dr.
00:39:53 --> 00:39:58 Martin Luther King's likeness is represented in soar generations.
00:39:59 --> 00:40:03 Some users generated disrespectful depictions of Dr. King's image.
00:40:03 --> 00:40:07 The statement read, So at King's, Inc., a request...
00:40:09 --> 00:40:14 King's Inc. Request OpenAI Pause Generation's depiction of Dr.
00:40:14 --> 00:40:21 King as it, excuse me, strengthens guardrails for historical figures.
00:40:21 --> 00:40:26 The announcement comes just weeks after the launch of Sora 2,
00:40:26 --> 00:40:36 a tool that allows users to create hyper-realistic AI videos featuring real and historical people.
00:40:36 --> 00:40:42 As previously reported by the Griot, the social media users have used the platform
00:40:42 --> 00:40:46 to generate deep fakes of public figures like Dr.
00:40:46 --> 00:40:48 King and Robin Williams.
00:40:48 --> 00:40:57 This content style has quickly become a trend across platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
00:40:57 --> 00:41:03 And while many see it as entertaining, King describes it as dishonoring,
00:41:03 --> 00:41:05 deplorable, and disrespectful.
00:41:06 --> 00:41:10 Celebrities including Scissor, Drake,
00:41:11 --> 00:41:17 Kendrick Lamar, and Rihanna have also spoken out against the unauthorized use
00:41:17 --> 00:41:26 of AI to recreate their voices and likenesses for fake songs, videos, and photos.
00:41:27 --> 00:41:32 While there are strong free speech interests in depicting historical figures,
00:41:32 --> 00:41:37 OpenAI believes public figures and their families should ultimately have control
00:41:37 --> 00:41:42 over how their likeness is used, the company's statement has said.
00:41:43 --> 00:41:45 So, I'm going to stop there.
00:41:46 --> 00:41:51 We all have seen recently an uptick as far as these videos.
00:41:52 --> 00:41:57 Excuse me, folks, as far as these videos are concerned. And what's happened
00:41:57 --> 00:42:01 is, every time I see one of these videos, I'll be saying to myself,
00:42:01 --> 00:42:03 how did they let this get out?
00:42:03 --> 00:42:07 But then, here we are, freedom of speech.
00:42:07 --> 00:42:12 Mm-hmm. You know, there's open creativity out there right now,
00:42:12 --> 00:42:14 and people can do and post whatever they want to post.
00:42:16 --> 00:42:18 What's your thoughts on this? I mean, you said you've seen the videos,
00:42:18 --> 00:42:22 and I've also seen some of these other videos with other celebrities.
00:42:22 --> 00:42:24 But you know when it comes to dr king
00:42:24 --> 00:42:28 and this is somebody that we've always held
00:42:28 --> 00:42:31 in high esteem when you
00:42:31 --> 00:42:34 see him video dressed up like a
00:42:34 --> 00:42:36 i saw one where he was dressed up like a pimp
00:42:36 --> 00:42:41 he had gold teeth and all of this stuff and i was like come on now why y'all
00:42:41 --> 00:42:46 doing this you know what's your thoughts man do you think this is cool do you
00:42:46 --> 00:42:51 think it's i mean have you Do you think it's funny when you've seen these videos
00:42:51 --> 00:42:56 or do you think they're entertaining in any kind of way? What's your thoughts?
00:42:57 --> 00:43:01 Really, I just think they're kind of weird, you know, and I think how I feel
00:43:01 --> 00:43:02 about it all depends on what the video.
00:43:02 --> 00:43:06 Because, you know, it's like if they have something that's motivational and
00:43:06 --> 00:43:08 show them in a good light, you know, that's a little bit different.
00:43:09 --> 00:43:14 But, you know, I think it goes to who regulates AI?
00:43:14 --> 00:43:17 You know it's like like what
00:43:17 --> 00:43:21 what what for that program sora or
00:43:21 --> 00:43:29 sarah whatever sora like what's off limits you know nothing yeah so it's it's
00:43:29 --> 00:43:34 almost like and with king and maybe maybe anyone's family member who had passed
00:43:34 --> 00:43:39 away you know um because one thing i saw was that.
00:43:41 --> 00:43:49 You know, people's name, image, likeness are protected, you know? So like, okay, Tupac.
00:43:49 --> 00:43:54 Oh, I don't know if Tupac has an estate, but let's say Muhammad Ali, I know he has an estate.
00:43:54 --> 00:44:00 So if people are using AI-generated videos, it's almost like music,
00:44:00 --> 00:44:01 okay? Do they owe royalties?
00:44:02 --> 00:44:07 Like, do they have to pay to, you know, pay to pay, pay to play?
00:44:07 --> 00:44:10 So it's really kind of like, okay, like how is AI being regulated?
00:44:10 --> 00:44:16 Because clearly, Dave, if you leave AI to be used with no restrictions,
00:44:17 --> 00:44:20 the worst is going to happen, you know?
00:44:20 --> 00:44:22 So, I mean, that's probably my question.
00:44:23 --> 00:44:28 And, you know, to be honest, a lot, like I'll scroll through social media now,
00:44:28 --> 00:44:33 Instagram specifically, and Dave, I can't lie, there's some stuff I'll see and
00:44:33 --> 00:44:35 I won't know if it's AI or real.
00:44:36 --> 00:44:40 You know, it's like I'll have to look at the comments or like I know Sora,
00:44:41 --> 00:44:45 they have a, you know, little watermark and a couple of these companies will have a watermark.
00:44:45 --> 00:44:48 But, you know, the watermark is probably just if you have the free version,
00:44:48 --> 00:44:51 if you have the paid version, that watermark probably removes.
00:44:51 --> 00:44:55 Yeah. Yeah. So when they post it, you know, you just don't know.
00:44:55 --> 00:45:00 And now it's almost like now you almost have to assume everything is AI.
00:45:01 --> 00:45:06 Yeah, you do. You do. Because remember, and this was just like a year ago.
00:45:06 --> 00:45:11 When we were talking about AI on the show and talking about,
00:45:11 --> 00:45:15 remember, we did that one show we talked about, or is this real or is this AI?
00:45:15 --> 00:45:20 Remember, we had the pictures and trying to figure out which one was real and which one was AI.
00:45:20 --> 00:45:24 And we always, one of the things that you can do, and, you know,
00:45:24 --> 00:45:28 you talked about it, we both talked about it, is how you can look at the hands
00:45:28 --> 00:45:33 and see, you know, there was certain things that would go on with the hands or, you know,
00:45:33 --> 00:45:36 like the placement of, you know, one.
00:45:36 --> 00:45:39 One arm may be a little bit different than the other arm or something,
00:45:39 --> 00:45:44 or the way that the, you know, the placement of their bodies or something.
00:45:44 --> 00:45:47 It was always something that kind of gave it away.
00:45:49 --> 00:45:54 Now, man, they, you know, used to be, you know, a lot of steel pitchers and
00:45:54 --> 00:45:56 so forth. Now they got videos.
00:45:56 --> 00:45:59 Did you ever see the video of Tupac and Kobe?
00:45:59 --> 00:46:01 Yeah. In Havana?
00:46:03 --> 00:46:10 They're trying to make you think that they're all him kobe big somebody else too biggie,
00:46:11 --> 00:46:17 yeah it was biggie biggie they're all over in adana just living their lives and these were good,
00:46:18 --> 00:46:24 likeness of them i mean you know i mean and they had the voices yeah you know
00:46:24 --> 00:46:26 so if you didn't know any better.
00:46:27 --> 00:46:31 You would think that that was real, you know, and you'd be saying,
00:46:31 --> 00:46:35 OK, what are they trying to say? Are they saying that they're all over there in Nevada, Cuba?
00:46:36 --> 00:46:38 Fidel Castro was one of them, too. Did you see that?
00:46:39 --> 00:46:45 Yeah. So, yeah. So but this is where we are, man. This this whole thing is so scary.
00:46:46 --> 00:46:50 You can change something in a moment's notice.
00:46:51 --> 00:46:58 But it's been a blessing, but it's also, you can see where it's going to be
00:46:58 --> 00:47:00 a big problem, too. Oh, yeah.
00:47:01 --> 00:47:05 Yeah, it's going to be a big problem. You know, Dave, I kind of think about, like, social media.
00:47:05 --> 00:47:07 You remember when social media first came out, everyone was,
00:47:07 --> 00:47:11 like, addicted to it and loved it.
00:47:11 --> 00:47:15 And, you know, even with social media, social media can be used for some great things.
00:47:16 --> 00:47:19 But, you know, some terrible stuff can happen on social media,
00:47:19 --> 00:47:22 too. And I feel like AI is kind of running into that same thing.
00:47:23 --> 00:47:25 Like, it's so new. There aren't any laws or regulations.
00:47:26 --> 00:47:30 And it's like the good people are going to use AI for good and the bad people
00:47:30 --> 00:47:32 are going to use AI for bad.
00:47:32 --> 00:47:39 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's really amazing when you think about it.
00:47:40 --> 00:47:44 Like I said, there's stuff that's going to, I mean, you know,
00:47:45 --> 00:47:50 so many good things that can be come from it, but yeah.
00:47:51 --> 00:47:56 And when you see, when you look at, you know, them using somebody like Dr.
00:47:56 --> 00:48:01 King or Malcolm X, or even, I've even seen stuff with, you know,
00:48:01 --> 00:48:08 depicting Jesus, you know, and God, you know, in these videos,
00:48:08 --> 00:48:11 and it's just not good. It really isn't.
00:48:12 --> 00:48:17 And, you know, so hopefully, you know, they will listen. I mean,
00:48:17 --> 00:48:21 you know, I mean, they have basically asked them to remove these images.
00:48:22 --> 00:48:25 And, you know, if they, you know,
00:48:26 --> 00:48:29 if that's something that they're going to do based on the ask,
00:48:30 --> 00:48:33 you know, the request that they did, you know, that's good that SOAR,
00:48:34 --> 00:48:37 you know, the people, you know, from that company is open AI and,
00:48:38 --> 00:48:41 you know, they're able to stop the SOAR images.
00:48:41 --> 00:48:46 But, you know, but that's not going to stop, you know, that that may stop it for him.
00:48:46 --> 00:48:50 But, you know, there's still all the other ones out there. So, right.
00:48:51 --> 00:48:54 Yeah. So people, please pay attention.
00:48:55 --> 00:48:59 Make sure you're looking at things that, you know, make sure,
00:48:59 --> 00:49:03 you know, and I feel bad for the older folks because they don't know.
00:49:03 --> 00:49:06 A lot of times they don't. They don't know what to look for.
00:49:06 --> 00:49:09 They don't, you know, you know.
00:49:11 --> 00:49:18 Man, we're just in a crazy time, man. I mean, there's just so much wrong going on right now.
00:49:19 --> 00:49:20 But let's pay attention, folks.
00:49:21 --> 00:49:25 Let's kind of pay attention to everything that's going on,
00:49:26 --> 00:49:31 especially when it comes to the internet and even, you know,
00:49:32 --> 00:49:35 as far as your social media, but even in your own life, you know,
00:49:35 --> 00:49:39 with a lot of things that come across your desk, if you're working,
00:49:39 --> 00:49:45 you know, Now, with AI, man, they can make things.
00:49:45 --> 00:49:48 You're talking about fraud and deception.
00:49:48 --> 00:49:50 It's a whole new game out here now.
00:49:51 --> 00:49:54 A whole new game. So, yeah.
00:49:54 --> 00:50:00 Okay. You guys can give us your thoughts on that as we move on to our next story.
00:50:02 --> 00:50:05 Well, not our next story. Well, actually, we're at Leonard's favorite part of
00:50:05 --> 00:50:07 the show, Dave's Corner.
00:50:08 --> 00:50:14 So I figured I asked a few questions to Leonard and our guest last week. Oh, here you go.
00:50:14 --> 00:50:17 Yeah, yeah. So I figured I asked a few more this week.
00:50:17 --> 00:50:24 So I figured, you know, I'll come back with a couple for Leonard to see how he does with these.
00:50:25 --> 00:50:28 So these are, you have to think about a little bit, Leonard,
00:50:28 --> 00:50:31 as you answer these, okay?
00:50:32 --> 00:50:38 The first one, you live in a one-story house. Oh, these questions are these riddles.
00:50:39 --> 00:50:44 Just listen, man. Don't worry. Golly, you're getting worried already. There you go.
00:50:44 --> 00:50:48 You live in a one-story house made of red wood.
00:50:49 --> 00:50:53 What color are the stairs? It's a one-story house, Dave. Thank you.
00:50:54 --> 00:50:58 See? You're getting all nervous. See? You knew the answer to that one.
00:50:58 --> 00:51:02 See? Okay. I know you guys started easy and then tried to make me look foolish.
00:51:03 --> 00:51:12 Okay if an electric train is heading north which way is the smoke going north,
00:51:13 --> 00:51:20 is that your final answer yeah up you say up,
00:51:21 --> 00:51:28 well the answer is there is no smoke it's an electric train okay.
00:51:30 --> 00:51:33 Getting good chuckles out of these, aren't you? Yeah, yeah, I know.
00:51:33 --> 00:51:35 I like it. I like it. What can I say?
00:51:36 --> 00:51:42 All right. I have nearly, I have two newly minted coins in my pocket.
00:51:43 --> 00:51:51 One isn't, one isn't a nickel, but they total 30 cents. What are the coins?
00:51:52 --> 00:51:58 You said one is not a nickel? Yeah, I have two newly minted coins in my pocket.
00:51:58 --> 00:52:04 One isn't a nickel, but they total 30 cents together what are the coins,
00:52:05 --> 00:52:11 quarter and a nickel. Wow. I am so impressed with that answer, Leonard.
00:52:14 --> 00:52:18 I must admit, I probably would have screwed that one up, but you got that right. Okay.
00:52:20 --> 00:52:24 You know, he surprises me every now and then. Cause you know,
00:52:24 --> 00:52:26 now I'm thinking for the trickery.
00:52:26 --> 00:52:29 Okay. There you go. Okay. But that That was the right answer.
00:52:29 --> 00:52:31 A quarter and a nickel. Yep, that's right.
00:52:33 --> 00:52:40 What kind of hand doesn't play music? I mean, I'm sorry. What kind of band doesn't play music?
00:52:41 --> 00:52:45 Rubber band? Yeah, okay. He's trying to act like he's smart here, folks.
00:52:46 --> 00:52:51 That's an HBCU knowledge right there. Yes, it is. Edumacation there.
00:52:52 --> 00:52:56 All right, this is the last one. I'm not a psychic. We know.
00:52:58 --> 00:53:06 But I can always predict the score of any baseball game before it starts. How do I do this?
00:53:07 --> 00:53:13 You want me to read that again? No. Okay. That's an interesting one.
00:53:13 --> 00:53:17 I'm not sure I have an intelligent answer for this one, but let me think.
00:53:18 --> 00:53:24 Read the question again, yes. Okay. I'm not a psychic, but I can always predict
00:53:24 --> 00:53:32 the score of any baseball game before it starts. How do I do this?
