Hosts Dave and Leonard recap a packed episode covering Lunell’s tense radio confrontation over a promotional snub, a shocking bison attack at Yellowstone that left a grandfather seriously injured, and chaotic scenes outside Jay‑Z’s Yankee Stadium concert where fans rushed gates before the show finally began.
They also discuss the Miss Spelman controversy amid online backlash and share lighthearted talk about the new Spider‑Man movie and favorite Marvel heroes, mixing opinion, listener reaction, and firsthand weekend stories.

00:01:18 --> 00:01:21 And that's on 101.5 The Fever.
00:01:22 --> 00:01:25 I'm hanging out with my partner, Mr. Leonard Young. What's going on, sir?
00:01:26 --> 00:01:30 Hey, Dave. Everything is good. This is Leonard Young, CEO of National Black
00:01:30 --> 00:01:36 Guide, DelawareBlack.com, Black Media Specialist, all-around good guy. How goes it, Dave?
00:01:37 --> 00:01:39 Hey, man. Can't call it. Just trying to stay cool.
00:01:40 --> 00:01:43 You know, looking like the heat is back. You know, we had a little relief there
00:01:43 --> 00:01:46 for a little bit, but it looked like the heat is definitely back.
00:01:47 --> 00:01:52 But, you know, just surviving, man. That's what I'm doing, surviving,
00:01:52 --> 00:01:54 you know? Okay. Sounds good.
00:01:54 --> 00:02:00 Yeah. Yeah, you know, I mean, I can't be like you. I have the big weekend that you've had, you know.
00:02:01 --> 00:02:05 You could be. You could be. Leonard was everywhere this weekend,
00:02:05 --> 00:02:10 man. He was outside. He was really outside. Yeah, I know. I was outside.
00:02:11 --> 00:02:16 Grandpa was outside this weekend. Yeah, he was outside this weekend, man. He was not playing.
00:02:18 --> 00:02:21 Get people a little glimpse of what your weekend was like, sir.
00:02:22 --> 00:02:26 All right. So I guess Friday was a chill night.
00:02:26 --> 00:02:31 I was home Friday. Okay, you were prepared. Yeah, yeah. I was resting up,
00:02:31 --> 00:02:32 getting my sleep in. Yeah.
00:02:33 --> 00:02:36 And then Saturday morning, I had to go to my son had a swim meet.
00:02:36 --> 00:02:40 So, of course, I had to be. I was at a, hold on, did I drop him off at?
00:02:41 --> 00:02:45 But, yeah, we had to get up at 6.30 and be at the pool at 7,
00:02:45 --> 00:02:46 and the meet started at 8.
00:02:47 --> 00:02:52 So then after that— Wait, how did he do, by the way? Oh, he did good.
00:02:52 --> 00:02:56 Okay, all right. Yeah, he did good. I mean, it wasn't—actually,
00:02:56 --> 00:03:01 this coming Saturday are the Summer League Championships, so— Oh,
00:03:01 --> 00:03:03 that's the big thing. Okay.
00:03:04 --> 00:03:08 The big thing in the summer, and then tomorrow are a time trial,
00:03:08 --> 00:03:12 so I'll be— Hopefully the weather is decent tomorrow, Dave. I'll be sweating up there.
00:03:12 --> 00:03:18 But anyway, back to what Dave was talking about Saturday as a belated Father's Day gift.
00:03:19 --> 00:03:24 My wife and I, we had tickets to go see Rick Ross with the orchestra.
00:03:24 --> 00:03:27 He was with this black orchestra that was out of Atlanta.
00:03:28 --> 00:03:32 And they were at the Met in Philly. So that was a nice show.
00:03:33 --> 00:03:35 I mean, to be honest, I think Rick Ross did a great job. And,
00:03:36 --> 00:03:40 you know, sometimes you forget how many songs people have until they start singing.
00:03:40 --> 00:03:42 You're like, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah.
00:03:43 --> 00:03:47 So it was a real good turnout. And Dave was really cool because,
00:03:47 --> 00:03:50 probably because they had it, you know, with the orchestra,
00:03:51 --> 00:03:54 And to be honest, I never actually saw the tickets or the flyers,
00:03:54 --> 00:03:55 so I don't know how they did it.
00:03:55 --> 00:04:01 But I guess the theme was really black tie, you know, suits, tuxedos.
00:04:01 --> 00:04:08 And I will say about 70% of the people there were dressed in a suit or,
00:04:08 --> 00:04:12 you know, tuxedo or, you know, something stylish in between.
00:04:12 --> 00:04:16 So, you know, it was just a really good look. It was kind of cool to just see
00:04:16 --> 00:04:22 a whole bunch of, you know, our, well, our brothers dressed up in tuxes and
00:04:22 --> 00:04:24 suits and a lot of the sisters dressed up in,
00:04:25 --> 00:04:29 gowns and, you know, the accompanying attire.
00:04:29 --> 00:04:31 So, yeah, really nice look.
00:04:33 --> 00:04:37 So people were on the red carpet, huh? Yeah, I mean, they didn't physically
00:04:37 --> 00:04:42 have a red carpet, but people were red carpet ready. Right, right, right. Yeah, okay.
00:04:43 --> 00:04:46 All right. All right. So that's part one of your weekend. Yeah,
00:04:46 --> 00:04:51 so then part one and then, well, honed in, Dave, I'm going to say part two because
00:04:51 --> 00:04:54 part two kind of goes with my story. Okay.
00:04:55 --> 00:04:59 Yeah. All right. I'm going to break it up for a little bit. But Dave,
00:04:59 --> 00:05:00 what about you? What did you do for the weekend?
00:05:01 --> 00:05:06 Well, hey, I worked and I didn't do anything, man.
00:05:07 --> 00:05:10 I'm living my weekend through you. You know?
00:05:12 --> 00:05:16 You know, I didn't do a thing, man. But still, that's it. Yeah. Yeah.
00:05:17 --> 00:05:21 I didn't do anything. But I watched the...
00:05:22 --> 00:05:30 You know, I was watching TV and just living the fantastic life of, you know, being me.
00:05:32 --> 00:05:33 It's almost like that song.
00:05:36 --> 00:05:43 Living single in the 90s type of world. I'm glad I got my girls. Yeah, there you go.
00:05:44 --> 00:05:47 Well, I don't know what the girls part, but anyway, we're good.
00:05:47 --> 00:05:52 But I was just chilling, man. I didn't do anything. Yeah. Okay.
00:05:52 --> 00:05:57 But, all right, so back to your other part of your weekend.
00:05:59 --> 00:06:03 Well, Dave, this right here part of my story, third story down.
00:06:04 --> 00:06:06 Oh, yeah, that's right. You want to talk about that later. Yeah,
00:06:08 --> 00:06:12 that's right. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. He's keeping y'all in suspense.
00:06:12 --> 00:06:16 He's going to talk about this later. Okay. The big part of the weekend.
00:06:16 --> 00:06:18 All right. Okay.
00:06:18 --> 00:06:22 Well, we'll go ahead and get into the stories since Leonard's holding y'all
00:06:22 --> 00:06:25 in suspense there, so we'll go ahead and get into the stories.
00:06:27 --> 00:06:29 So this first story, I don't know if you guys heard about this,
00:06:29 --> 00:06:32 but it did kind of make its way around the internet.
00:06:33 --> 00:06:37 And I thought it was interesting because, you know, Leonard and I have been
00:06:37 --> 00:06:40 podcasting for a little over five years now.
00:06:41 --> 00:06:45 And, you know, we have guests to come on the show and whatever.
00:06:45 --> 00:06:50 And it's just interesting because I guess we can relate to something like this
00:06:50 --> 00:06:55 happening that happened with Luenelle this weekend.
00:06:55 --> 00:06:57 Not to the extent of.
00:06:59 --> 00:07:03 What happened exactly, but just the fact that when you're dealing with people
00:07:03 --> 00:07:08 and they're coming on the show, and especially if they're coming on to promote something,
00:07:09 --> 00:07:15 you just have to be cognizant of their feelings and what they're trying to do.
00:07:16 --> 00:07:22 And in this case, I think things went a little left with Lunell coming on to,
00:07:23 --> 00:07:28 The Dee Dee in the Morning Show, Dee Dee McGuire in the Morning Show.
00:07:28 --> 00:07:35 I'll read a little bit, and then I want you guys to listen to the clip of what happened, okay?
00:07:36 --> 00:07:38 And then Leonard and I will give our opinions on it.
00:07:39 --> 00:07:45 It says, the comedy legend, Lunell, questioned why the nationally syndicated,
00:07:45 --> 00:07:51 morning show promoted T.I. but never mentioned her own appearance on the weekend show.
00:07:52 --> 00:07:55 Plus, she said put some respect on her name.
00:07:57 --> 00:08:01 Comedian and actress Luenelle wasted no time in making her feelings known during
00:08:01 --> 00:08:10 a recent appearance on a nationally syndicated Dallas-Fort Worth-based K104FM DD in the morning.
00:08:10 --> 00:08:17 Confronting the host moments after walking into the studio over what she viewed
00:08:17 --> 00:08:19 as major professional oversight.
00:08:20 --> 00:08:24 Known as the original bad girl of comedy, the nail revealed that she had been
00:08:24 --> 00:08:30 listening to the show while riding to the station for an early morning interview.
00:08:30 --> 00:08:35 Now, I'm going to stop there. I'm going to have Leonard play the video,
00:08:36 --> 00:08:41 or the audio in this case, so you can hear what happened when she got there to the station.
00:08:52 --> 00:08:58 Yeah, you know what? So I have this thing that I do when I'm on my way to the station.
00:08:59 --> 00:09:04 I be listening. And so one of y'all said, what's going on this weekend?
00:09:04 --> 00:09:06 And it was T.I., T.I., T.I., and all this.
00:09:07 --> 00:09:09 And nobody mentioned me, and I'm on my way here.
00:09:09 --> 00:09:13 Six o'clock in the morning. T.I.'s not down there. I'm on my way here.
00:09:14 --> 00:09:16 You know what? You're right. God didn't even mention me. Okay.
00:09:16 --> 00:09:18 Well, probably because you don't know why. Probably because what?
00:09:18 --> 00:09:21 You didn't really take over the whole hour. Yeah. That's what you said.
00:09:21 --> 00:09:26 We don't need no one mentioned. No, no, no, but why wouldn't you have said that I'm here?
00:09:26 --> 00:09:32 I'm on my way here. Yeah. It's 6 o'clock in the morning, 3 o'clock in my body from the West Coast.
00:09:33 --> 00:09:36 I'm the one who came and was sitting in the traffic. You said I wasn't listening
00:09:36 --> 00:09:39 before I got here? Oh, I don't know. Why would you guys not mention that I'm
00:09:39 --> 00:09:43 in town and on my way here? I feel like it would be a better conversation if
00:09:43 --> 00:09:48 we had it with you, though. Is that what you feel? Yeah. Does it feel better? Yes. It doesn't now.
00:09:48 --> 00:09:50 Right, it doesn't now. Yeah, it don't now, but it could have.
00:09:50 --> 00:09:54 A whole new, different attitude until I listened to y'all say,
00:09:55 --> 00:09:56 they said, what's going on this weekend?
00:09:56 --> 00:09:59 And nobody said, well, you know, Lunell's on her way here.
00:09:59 --> 00:10:02 And she's going on this weekend. Yeah. You know, we apologize for that.
00:10:02 --> 00:10:05 Lunell, we apologize for that. I accept your apology, but it sucks.
00:10:05 --> 00:10:07 I know it does. But guess what else is getting ready to go down?
00:10:07 --> 00:10:10 So we're going to do this interview right here with you, and it's going to play
00:10:10 --> 00:10:12 here in Dallas. And nobody said you bra straps or Lunell.
00:10:13 --> 00:10:16 I was about to say this. I didn't know. The artists don't care.
00:10:16 --> 00:10:20 But let me just say this. We will definitely make sure you're promoted all weekend
00:10:20 --> 00:10:22 long for the rest of our 90 cities around the country.
00:10:22 --> 00:10:26 I must have paid for the... He didn't pay for the... Oh, but he didn't pay.
00:10:26 --> 00:10:28 No. Like I didn't pay. Right.
00:10:28 --> 00:10:31 But I'm here at 6-1-2. I ain't here. I know.
00:10:31 --> 00:10:33 Yeah. But he was here yesterday.
00:10:34 --> 00:10:38 Okay, I'm lying, but listen, look out. All right, let's talk about you.
00:10:38 --> 00:10:40 Let's talk about what's going on with you. First of all, I mean,
00:10:41 --> 00:10:43 you're happy you're in a relationship, right?
00:10:43 --> 00:10:46 Is that what we're talking about this morning? I'm just talking about what you
00:10:46 --> 00:10:47 want to talk about. Yeah, whatever you want to talk about.
00:10:47 --> 00:10:50 I'll tell you what we're going to do. I want to promote the shows that I'm here
00:10:50 --> 00:10:53 to promote. I'm sorry? I would really like to talk about the shows that I'm
00:10:53 --> 00:10:55 here to promote. Okay, I'll tell you what. We'll give you the floor.
00:10:55 --> 00:10:59 You go right on ahead. Promote, promote, promote. I just want to do my job.
00:10:59 --> 00:11:02 My job was to come in and talk about the shows this weekend.
00:11:02 --> 00:11:05 And I've already done one. Okay. which was last night. How'd it go?
00:11:06 --> 00:11:09 It went amazing. Cool. Yeah, I was showing for me here in Texas.
00:11:09 --> 00:11:13 I got family here that could be here in five minutes. I said that.
00:11:14 --> 00:11:17 Not the threat. No. Did. We all got family here. Yeah, we stay here.
00:11:18 --> 00:11:21 We all got family in the room. No, we all got family in the room.
00:11:21 --> 00:11:25 I knew too. That's the thing. Yeah, we all got family. We from here. Okay, Lou now.
00:11:25 --> 00:11:28 Please clap.
00:11:30 --> 00:11:33 That was the one I called. So this is kind of funny because I heard it,
00:11:34 --> 00:11:36 but I didn't listen to the whole thing. Oh, you didn't hear the whole thing?
00:11:36 --> 00:11:40 No, so I didn't hear it. So I was here on the back half the first time.
00:11:40 --> 00:11:43 Oh, okay. Yeah.
00:11:45 --> 00:11:52 So it's interesting because, I mean, actually, I'm not mad at Lunell for this.
00:11:53 --> 00:11:58 Now, she later apologized because she said that she was having a bad morning,
00:11:58 --> 00:12:00 and she kind of took it out on them.
00:12:01 --> 00:12:09 But she said that even still, she still felt some kind of way because they should
00:12:09 --> 00:12:15 have been a little more cognizant of her being there and coming in there early after leaving.
00:12:17 --> 00:12:20 She's still on West Coast time after doing the show the night before.
00:12:20 --> 00:12:25 And they promoting somebody else and here she is on her way into the studio
00:12:25 --> 00:12:27 and a lot of people do that,
00:12:28 --> 00:12:32 they listen to the show even even with guests that we have on this show now
00:12:32 --> 00:12:37 of course we all we we haven't had anybody to her magnitude yet but we've had
00:12:37 --> 00:12:39 some pretty you know well-known people,
00:12:40 --> 00:12:45 and you know we always give them always try to get them to listen to the show
00:12:45 --> 00:12:49 before coming on the show, you know, so that they know, you know,
00:12:50 --> 00:12:51 what they're coming into.
00:12:53 --> 00:12:56 And if there's a chance that we can promote the show, which we try to do,
00:12:56 --> 00:12:59 if we know somebody's coming on and they got something to promote,
00:13:00 --> 00:13:05 we will try to promote their appearance to let people know they're coming on.
00:13:06 --> 00:13:11 I just think that, you know, even when she kind of voiced.
00:13:13 --> 00:13:18 Their displeasure about how things went when she got there, they still kind
00:13:18 --> 00:13:22 of not took her feelings into account.
00:13:22 --> 00:13:24 What do you think about what you heard?
00:13:25 --> 00:13:28 So it's funny because you said it when I was thinking it.
00:13:28 --> 00:13:31 But to me, it sounds like she just woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
00:13:31 --> 00:13:37 Yeah. Well, as he admitted that. Yeah. And I feel like she came in and there
00:13:37 --> 00:13:39 wasn't going to be any pleasing her.
00:13:40 --> 00:13:42 You know what I mean? Like, she was upset.
00:13:42 --> 00:13:47 And I feel like you just have to let her rant.
00:13:48 --> 00:13:51 Say, okay, yep, you right. You right. You right. Okay.
00:13:52 --> 00:13:58 Until it calmed down. So I do agree. Anything trying to go against,
00:13:59 --> 00:14:05 you know, kind of appeasing her, you know, I personally feel like it wouldn't have worked.
00:14:06 --> 00:14:08 Now, for the second part, I kind of do agree. You know, I think,
00:14:09 --> 00:14:12 Dave, you know, I think it's kind of hard because,
00:14:13 --> 00:14:18 You know, usually, you know, and I mean, you know, we're not on the radio per
00:14:18 --> 00:14:21 se, but, you know, we kind of have an agenda. We have a lineup.
00:14:21 --> 00:14:23 We have a certain way that we do things.
00:14:24 --> 00:14:28 And it's almost like, OK, so, you know, sometimes when we have a guest on the
00:14:28 --> 00:14:33 show, you know, they'll kind of kind of be quiet until, you know,
00:14:33 --> 00:14:35 we introduce them or read their bio.
00:14:36 --> 00:14:40 And but at the beginning, we'll have some small talk. Right.
00:14:41 --> 00:14:47 So can you imagine us having a guest on and we're waiting to introduce them
00:14:47 --> 00:14:51 and maybe we're just small talking and saying, oh, you know, I can't wait.
00:14:51 --> 00:14:54 Can't wait for Black Music Fest this weekend.
00:14:55 --> 00:14:57 But, you know, maybe the guest is doing something. You know,
00:14:57 --> 00:15:02 I mean, like like I can kind of see how that that could be a little weird.
00:15:03 --> 00:15:07 But I also agree with the person who said, hey, but, you know,
00:15:07 --> 00:15:08 you're coming on the show.
00:15:08 --> 00:15:13 You know you have you know you you have a segment you're here in the studio
00:15:13 --> 00:15:18 you have 30 minutes to talk about whatever you want to talk about you know I
00:15:18 --> 00:15:19 mean do they expect you know,
00:15:20 --> 00:15:28 do they expect does Lunell expect them to mention her name like you know every
00:15:28 --> 00:15:32 time they talk about an event going on for the whole radio show I mean I I mean
00:15:33 --> 00:15:35 I don't know I think one she woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
00:15:36 --> 00:15:40 Two, I personally feel that they didn't mention her because she was coming on
00:15:40 --> 00:15:43 the show and she was going to have her own segment. So I don't know. That's how I feel.
00:15:45 --> 00:15:50 That's interesting. Okay. So I will agree with you with this.
00:15:51 --> 00:15:55 Yeah. She had a little attitude. You know, I think she was tired.
00:15:55 --> 00:15:59 Little attitude. She did. She had attitude. Okay.
00:16:00 --> 00:16:04 And I think she was tired. You know, like she said, she had the show the night before.
00:16:05 --> 00:16:09 And she got on the road and came there at 6 o'clock in the morning, you know?
00:16:12 --> 00:16:19 But I think what got the attitude going either further was the fact that she
00:16:19 --> 00:16:22 took the time. Now, a lot of guests...
00:16:24 --> 00:16:29 Who come on these radio shows aren't necessarily tuned into the show on their
00:16:29 --> 00:16:31 way to the show. You know what I mean?
00:16:32 --> 00:16:38 And she said right away, I have this little thing that I do when I'm coming on a show.
00:16:39 --> 00:16:48 I tune in and I listen to see if they're going to mention me coming on the show or whatever, right?
00:16:49 --> 00:16:50 If she's promoting something or whatever.
00:16:51 --> 00:16:57 So she purposely tuned into the show To hear if they're going to mention that
00:16:57 --> 00:17:02 she's coming on the show And they're doing everything but that Talking about T.I.
00:17:02 --> 00:17:08 And so forth And I'll be honest with you If I was a person that did that And I,
00:17:09 --> 00:17:14 wanted to I made sure I was listening to the show On my way to the show I want
00:17:14 --> 00:17:18 to hear my name mentioned I want to hear that I'm coming on the show the you
00:17:18 --> 00:17:21 know especially if i have fans out there,
00:17:22 --> 00:17:26 who might want to because you know how we are in the car especially if we're
00:17:26 --> 00:17:28 in the car listening to the show because i know,
00:17:29 --> 00:17:34 when i'm in on my way to work i got a couple channels program in and i know
00:17:34 --> 00:17:39 right at what time i want to listen to their channel because i know their certain
00:17:39 --> 00:17:40 segments are going to be on,
00:17:40 --> 00:17:44 at a certain time So I'm hitting like two or three stations.
00:17:45 --> 00:17:48 At a period of time to see who's on there.
00:17:48 --> 00:17:51 And especially like we listen to The Breakfast Club, you know,
00:17:51 --> 00:17:55 especially if they have a guest on there we want to hear. And they do pretty,
00:17:55 --> 00:17:58 you know, their interviews are legendary, you know, when they do their interviews
00:17:58 --> 00:18:00 with the people they have on.
00:18:00 --> 00:18:05 So if they advertise they're going to have Lunell on, you know,
00:18:06 --> 00:18:10 if you're in your car and you hear Lunell's going to be on, you know, in two minutes.
00:18:10 --> 00:18:13 You're going to keep your station there if you want to hear it.
00:18:13 --> 00:18:18 You're going to have your channel tuned in if you want to hear it.
00:18:18 --> 00:18:19 If you don't hear that New Nail
00:18:19 --> 00:18:23 is going to be on there, you're probably flicking around channels, okay?
00:18:23 --> 00:18:27 So this is why this is something that she probably was...
00:18:28 --> 00:18:32 Trying to get across to them now of course she could have did it a little bit
00:18:32 --> 00:18:35 differently yeah she had a little attitude and like i said she admitted to her
00:18:35 --> 00:18:42 later they both apologized to each other later on about the whole thing because and dd,
00:18:42 --> 00:18:46 said that she was wrong because they should have took her feelings in the account
00:18:46 --> 00:18:48 a little bit more you know if people,
00:18:49 --> 00:18:52 of course in the comments people were on both sides you know a lot of them were
00:18:52 --> 00:18:57 on lunel's side but you know but everybody was kind of joking about,
00:18:57 --> 00:18:59 you know, with a guy saying,
00:19:00 --> 00:19:01 we got family here too.
00:19:02 --> 00:19:04 You know, talking about what we're doing now and throwing a little thread out
00:19:04 --> 00:19:08 there. He's like, we got people here too. We, you know, that type of thing,
00:19:08 --> 00:19:10 you know, like, you know.
00:19:10 --> 00:19:15 But it's just interesting when you hear, when you have a guest coming on,
00:19:16 --> 00:19:21 I just thought that it was kind of odd that they, even when she tried to get
00:19:21 --> 00:19:26 them to focus and she said, you know they try to bring in try to bring up who
00:19:26 --> 00:19:29 she's dating and she's like i just want to talk about my shows,
00:19:30 --> 00:19:33 that's what i came here for just talking about my shows you know.
00:19:34 --> 00:19:39 You know that you know so even then they didn't want to they missed the queue to talk about her show,
00:19:40 --> 00:19:47 but yeah i i you know i see your point but i also see her point as well so and
00:19:47 --> 00:19:50 i'm sure a lot of people do because there was a lot of comments about it it
00:19:50 --> 00:19:53 really was yeah so well dave let me run something by you real quick.
00:19:53 --> 00:19:55 And this is what I always think about too.
00:19:55 --> 00:20:00 Okay. Let's say they are talking about Lunell on the radio.
00:20:01 --> 00:20:08 They go to break. They come back. Lunell pops on the radio station.
00:20:09 --> 00:20:13 Then they talk about T.I., and then she makes it to the radio station.
00:20:13 --> 00:20:18 You know, it's kind of like, you know, she don't know when they may have mentioned
00:20:18 --> 00:20:22 about her coming. But if she's listening to the show, she heard.
00:20:23 --> 00:20:26 Yeah, but so that means she'd have to listen to the show from the very beginning.
00:20:27 --> 00:20:33 But that's what she says she does. She said, I turn on the radio when I'm on my way to a show.
00:20:33 --> 00:20:36 Now, of course, we don't know what time she got in the car, whether it was right
00:20:36 --> 00:20:41 at the beginning or whatever. But she said when she got in the car,
00:20:41 --> 00:20:44 she made sure the station was on that channel. Yeah.
00:20:45 --> 00:20:49 But that's what I'm saying. We don't know what time the radio station started,
00:20:49 --> 00:20:53 what time she came on, what time she started listening. Their show starts at
00:20:53 --> 00:20:56 6 o'clock. Okay. In the morning.
00:20:56 --> 00:21:01 And so she said that, you know, she was in the car. She said she was in the
00:21:01 --> 00:21:04 car, you know, when the show came on.
00:21:05 --> 00:21:08 So I don't know whether she heard the very first part of it.
00:21:09 --> 00:21:12 I'm sure they probably said in the very beginning she's going to come on.
00:21:13 --> 00:21:18 But then maybe the part, and you could be right, maybe the part that she heard,
00:21:19 --> 00:21:23 them talk about the most was T.I., you know, and talking about T.I.
00:21:23 --> 00:21:28 And I think one of them mentioned they went to see him or something, you know, so.
00:21:29 --> 00:21:34 But they didn't mention that she was coming in to promote her shows or whatever.
00:21:34 --> 00:21:37 But like I said, you know, she had a little bit of attitude already.
00:21:37 --> 00:21:42 So, you know, that just kind of heightened the moment, you know.
00:21:44 --> 00:21:47 But I just wanted to, I just thought it was interesting, you know,
00:21:47 --> 00:21:49 considering, you know, we deal with guests on a regular basis.
00:21:49 --> 00:21:54 I heard your little theory about how, you know, our guests are quiet people,
00:21:54 --> 00:21:55 you know, until we read the bio.
00:21:55 --> 00:21:59 But we always go over what's about to happen with our guests prior to,
00:22:00 --> 00:22:05 prior to, you know, yeah, the key stuff from like that happening, you know what I mean?
00:22:05 --> 00:22:08 You know, cause we don't want them to think we're ignoring them, you know?
00:22:08 --> 00:22:12 So, but then we also try to promote, we make sure if they got something to promote,
00:22:12 --> 00:22:14 they, they get a chance to promote it.
00:22:14 --> 00:22:21 So, so, but, but you guys give us your opinion on, I mean, was Luenelle right
00:22:21 --> 00:22:25 or was she wrong or, you know, were they right or were they wrong?
00:22:26 --> 00:22:29 I'm curious to hear what everybody got to say, because there was a lot of comments
00:22:29 --> 00:22:31 out there about it, you know, a lot.
00:22:31 --> 00:22:36 So real super quick to the comments go both ways.
00:22:36 --> 00:22:40 Like, yeah, they went both ways, but I, you know, at first, a lot of them were
00:22:40 --> 00:22:44 favoring Luenelle because they felt, because Luenelle, you know,
00:22:44 --> 00:22:50 then, you know, doing this for years, he's considered to be a comedy legend, you know, and, you know.
00:22:51 --> 00:22:52 The fact that they kind of,
00:22:53 --> 00:22:56 You know, these are younger people, you know, of course, and,
00:22:56 --> 00:23:00 you know, they kind of were blowing her off, her feelings off.
00:23:00 --> 00:23:04 That's the way people were looking at it for the whole. If you get a chance,
00:23:04 --> 00:23:06 just check some of the comments out. You'll see what I'm talking about.
00:23:07 --> 00:23:12 Gotcha. You know, so, but, you know, but then, you know, some people,
00:23:12 --> 00:23:16 you know, you know, some of our younger people, she's just old and bitter.
00:23:17 --> 00:23:18 You know, that's what a lot of people were saying.
00:23:19 --> 00:23:22 You know, you can imagine what some people were saying. Yeah,
00:23:22 --> 00:23:26 because, I mean, the first thing I know, I was like, okay, she came in on fire.
00:23:27 --> 00:23:30 Which was interesting that you kind of backed it up later. She said you had
00:23:30 --> 00:23:33 a hard morning. I was like, okay, I can tell.
00:23:34 --> 00:23:36 Yeah, and she said it. She said it.
00:23:36 --> 00:23:42 She was big enough to say it later on. Because even in the story, she.
00:23:45 --> 00:23:52 Let's see, she said, it said, many applauded Nunez for advocating for herself,
00:23:52 --> 00:23:56 arguing that a comedy veteran with decades in business shouldn't have to remind
00:23:56 --> 00:23:59 a radio station to promote a scheduled appearance.
00:23:59 --> 00:24:05 Others felt the host handled the situation appropriately by apologizing immediately,
00:24:05 --> 00:24:08 and doing everything they could to make it right during the interview.
00:24:09 --> 00:24:14 Still, others simply enjoyed watching Lumelle's trademark honesty on full display,
00:24:14 --> 00:24:17 saying her willingness to say exactly what was on her mind.
00:24:18 --> 00:24:25 Even in uncomfortable situations, it was one of the reasons audiences continued to embrace her.
00:24:26 --> 00:24:31 So I thought that kind of said it all right there.
00:24:33 --> 00:24:37 And she said she was moving on. And she said that she would definitely come
00:24:37 --> 00:24:41 back on the show again, you know, so she's fine, you know, so, you know.
00:24:43 --> 00:24:48 All right, so you guys give us your opinions on that story.
00:24:49 --> 00:24:55 All right, we're going to move on. Man, this is one of the craziest things I've ever seen.
00:24:56 --> 00:24:59 In fact, let me pull up the video while you... Yeah.
00:25:01 --> 00:25:04 I have Leonard look at the video because he hasn't seen this video yet.
00:25:05 --> 00:25:08 But I'm going to go ahead and tell you a little bit about the story.
00:25:09 --> 00:25:17 So Yellowstone National Park, there was a bison attack that left a grandfather seriously injured.
00:25:18 --> 00:25:22 And it says a grandfather's visit to Yellowstone National Park ended with serious
00:25:22 --> 00:25:28 injuries after a bull bison charged and threw him several feet into the air.
00:25:29 --> 00:25:36 Professional photographer Mike McLeod recorded the Friday evening incident with
00:25:36 --> 00:25:40 observing the animal's unusual behavior.
00:25:40 --> 00:25:43 Before the attack, he saw the
00:25:43 --> 00:25:48 bison rolling in the dirt and reacting aggressively to activity nearby.
00:25:49 --> 00:25:55 McLeod described the animal as angry, agitated, and charging anything and everything.
00:25:56 --> 00:26:01 The grandfather and his grandfather passed through the area while McLeod was filming.
00:26:02 --> 00:26:07 They paused to capture a few images but did not appear to disturb or approach the bison.
00:26:08 --> 00:26:12 According to the photographer, McLeod also said the two visitors seemed to remain
00:26:12 --> 00:26:15 about 75 feet away, so they were not close.
00:26:16 --> 00:26:22 Their distance matches National Park Service's guidance for staying clear of bison and elk.
00:26:22 --> 00:26:28 The animal still turning its attention towards the pair and began to pursue them.
00:26:29 --> 00:26:33 Footage shows the older man moving out of the bison's path several times.
00:26:34 --> 00:26:41 The animal eventually reached him and used its head and horns to lift him off the ground.
00:26:41 --> 00:26:45 He was reportedly thrown about eight feet into the air.
00:26:46 --> 00:26:51 The recording ends shortly after the impact. The cloud says several witnesses
00:26:51 --> 00:26:56 then moved towards the area to distract the bison and prevent another charge.
00:26:57 --> 00:27:00 Someone also contacted emergency services.
00:27:01 --> 00:27:05 The man, the injured man was reportedly visiting Yellowstone with his grandson.
00:27:05 --> 00:27:11 Details about his condition were not provided beyond reports that he suffered serious injuries.
00:27:11 --> 00:27:13 Now, did you see that? Yeah.
00:27:14 --> 00:27:19 Wasn't that crazy? Didn't that look like something we see in the movies?
00:27:19 --> 00:27:21 Or movies or something like that?
00:27:22 --> 00:27:24 Yeah, that's crazy. I mean...
00:27:25 --> 00:27:30 Well, okay, the closest thing, folks, that I could describe this,
00:27:31 --> 00:27:39 if you've ever seen the bullfighting at a rodeo when the bulls are charging,
00:27:40 --> 00:27:45 and, you know, you got the clowns that are trying to distract them and get, you know,
00:27:46 --> 00:27:51 when the bullfighter, you know, trying to distract the bullfighter or whatever,
00:27:51 --> 00:27:55 Or even when there's a bull riding and they get thrown from the bull,
00:27:55 --> 00:27:57 you know, trying to get out of the way of the bull or whatever,
00:27:58 --> 00:28:02 you know, because sometimes you see these bulls and they will rush a person
00:28:02 --> 00:28:05 and, you know, knock into him. You see him go flying.
00:28:05 --> 00:28:11 This guy literally flew in the air. And he was 60. They said he was my age.
00:28:11 --> 00:28:14 You know, he's a 66-year-old guy, you know.
00:28:15 --> 00:28:19 And you could see him running from the bull. Now, that bull went a long way
00:28:19 --> 00:28:23 to get to them, too. Did you see how far away that bull was from them? Yeah, he was.
00:28:24 --> 00:28:27 I mean, that bull ran in a couple circles trying to get...
00:28:29 --> 00:28:35 Yeah, yeah. Well, they said that the grandfather, because the grandson went
00:28:35 --> 00:28:37 one way, the grandfather got stuck.
00:28:38 --> 00:28:42 And he ran around the tree trying to keep the bull away from him.
00:28:42 --> 00:28:44 And the bull kept going around the tree with him.
00:28:45 --> 00:28:51 And but then the bull he he ran from the tree and the bull caught up with him,
00:28:52 --> 00:28:58 and when i say he got lifted into the air that dude man he went flying and he
00:28:58 --> 00:29:04 hit that ground hit that ground hard so i feel bad for the guy because you know,
00:29:05 --> 00:29:08 the bull was just sitting there then you could see it getting agitated and it
00:29:08 --> 00:29:13 just kind of rolled over but the next thing you never thought it was going to charge anybody. No.
00:29:14 --> 00:29:19 Now, ironically, what's funny about that is,
00:29:20 --> 00:29:24 You met my friend, Karen, who came down.
00:29:24 --> 00:29:29 I told you she's part of the camping group, and she came down to your campground. Mm-hmm.
00:29:30 --> 00:29:33 Okay. Right now, she told her recently,
00:29:34 --> 00:29:41 she is actually driving across the country right now, going to all these national
00:29:41 --> 00:29:47 parks or, you know, very popular national parks. She's out on the West Coast now.
00:29:47 --> 00:29:50 She elected not to go to Yellowstone.
00:29:50 --> 00:29:55 But she went to a couple other parks, and she actually sent me a picture of
00:29:55 --> 00:29:59 a bison sitting exactly the same way that bison was sitting.
00:30:00 --> 00:30:05 And the picture was taken from about the same distance. Oh, wow.
00:30:05 --> 00:30:13 And I can send you that picture so you can see what's so crazy that that bison decided to charge.
00:30:14 --> 00:30:19 To charge the grandfather and the grandson.
00:30:19 --> 00:30:24 But that's crazy right there. I mean, what did you think when you saw that?
00:30:25 --> 00:30:28 So one, I was just thinking, I'm glad we don't have no crazy animals at our
00:30:28 --> 00:30:34 campground. You know, like nothing crazy like wolves, bears, mice.
00:30:34 --> 00:30:36 Huh? Do you have deer?
00:30:37 --> 00:30:39 I have not personally seen a
00:30:39 --> 00:30:43 deer on our campground, but I have seen it on neighboring property. Okay.
00:30:44 --> 00:30:48 Yeah, I mean, really the worst I've seen, I have seen a fox,
00:30:48 --> 00:30:51 but, you know, they normally, you know, they kind of run away.
00:30:51 --> 00:30:53 They're not doing anything with humans.
00:30:53 --> 00:30:57 Now, snakes. Okay. Yeah. Well, like, we got a few of them.
00:30:58 --> 00:31:03 But, I mean, oh, when we first bought the campground, I used to see wild turkeys.
00:31:03 --> 00:31:06 Now, I don't see them anymore, but I used to see a lot of them,
00:31:06 --> 00:31:09 like, in the woods. Well, you can say y'all ate them.
00:31:13 --> 00:31:16 It's okay. Yeah, you can go ahead and say that. Yeah, but, I mean,
00:31:16 --> 00:31:18 overall, I mean, of course, he was very lucky.
00:31:18 --> 00:31:22 I don't know if they, I mean, I don't know if I ever want to go camping anywhere
00:31:22 --> 00:31:28 where animals, wild, deadly animals get that close.
00:31:28 --> 00:31:32 Bears, wolves, mountain lions. Like, you know, like all these people who go
00:31:32 --> 00:31:35 camping in the West Coast and the mountains. And to be honest,
00:31:35 --> 00:31:38 I, you know, I don't think I'm that daring.
00:31:39 --> 00:31:42 Yeah, well, she definitely is daring. And she, I'm telling you,
00:31:42 --> 00:31:47 when I'm saying she's been to all of these national parks, like she's in California
00:31:47 --> 00:31:48 right now. She drove from PA.
00:31:49 --> 00:31:56 She has been to about 10 parks along the way.
00:31:57 --> 00:31:59 I just sent you that picture of the bison. Yeah.
00:32:01 --> 00:32:02 You know, so.
00:32:03 --> 00:32:07 But, I mean, but she's adventuresome like that, man. She does that kind of stuff.
00:32:07 --> 00:32:11 I was just like, wow. Does she camp solo?
00:32:11 --> 00:32:13 Yeah. Well, yeah.
00:32:14 --> 00:32:18 There's people that they meet up with along the way. Like, they have all these
00:32:18 --> 00:32:21 spots where people kind of camp out together.
00:32:23 --> 00:32:29 And she has that conversion RV that, you know, she can sleep in and all that stuff.
00:32:31 --> 00:32:35 But it's like a whole community of people out there, she says.
00:32:35 --> 00:32:38 And she's always telling about all these people that she meets along the road.
00:32:38 --> 00:32:44 And there's places that make accommodation for them along the way. She has a park pass.
00:32:45 --> 00:32:50 She pays a certain amount a year for this park pass. She can go to all the national parks.
00:32:54 --> 00:32:57 So she sent me quite a few pictures along the way.
00:32:57 --> 00:33:05 And some of these pictures man there's one called redwood she was the man these trees are so huge,
00:33:06 --> 00:33:14 yeah you know but yeah but she's going to she's been to glacier national park
00:33:14 --> 00:33:17 i mean she's been to quite a few of them on this trip so,
00:33:18 --> 00:33:22 you know but you got to be somebody who really loves that kind of stuff so you
00:33:22 --> 00:33:27 do yeah and someone who kind of lives on the edge a little bit too yeah well
00:33:27 --> 00:33:31 she yeah like i said man she's she's one of them people so you know so,
00:33:33 --> 00:33:40 But yeah, that is really, I hope he doesn't have any, because I'm sure he had
00:33:40 --> 00:33:44 to break something or a couple things. The way that bull hit him, man.
00:33:45 --> 00:33:50 You know, it almost looked like, it didn't look like AI when you first looked
00:33:50 --> 00:33:54 at it. Like, nah, that didn't happen, right? You know, but it happened.
00:33:55 --> 00:34:00 Yeah, it definitely happened. So, yeah, so, but I, you know,
00:34:00 --> 00:34:05 I hope he gets, I hope he gets well and you know,
00:34:05 --> 00:34:13 I wonder if he I don't know with me I'm never going to another park like that again you know.
00:34:15 --> 00:34:21 Just not doing that but anyway if you guys get attention to the video just check
00:34:21 --> 00:34:27 it out because it's really something I mean it's just hard to believe that that
00:34:27 --> 00:34:30 bison just took off running after him like that.
00:34:30 --> 00:34:34 And I don't know what agitated them. I don't know if you heard the sound of
00:34:34 --> 00:34:38 them taking pictures or what made them unless they said something.
00:34:38 --> 00:34:43 Maybe you know how certain folks are. I'm going to put it that way.
00:34:43 --> 00:34:50 That they like to do strange things. I don't know if they said something or did something or what.
00:34:50 --> 00:34:56 But something made that bull get up and say, okay, I'm tired of this. And took off.
00:34:58 --> 00:35:04 They may have called her a name or something yeah I don't know maybe said I
00:35:04 --> 00:35:09 was hungry they make some good bison burgers right there you know so I don't know so,
00:35:10 --> 00:35:14 All right, but anyway, we'll move on to our next thing. Leonard's been holding
00:35:14 --> 00:35:20 this on, so this is Leonard's other part of his weekend. So go ahead, sir.
00:35:20 --> 00:35:24 Yep, so for the next part of my weekend, Dave, and I mean, I told you about it earlier.
00:35:25 --> 00:35:32 Last minute, my wife and I got tickets for Jay-Z's third night concert up in
00:35:32 --> 00:35:34 New York, Yankee Stadium.
00:35:35 --> 00:35:40 And Dave, you talk about a time to remember. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
00:35:40 --> 00:35:44 Now, wait, hold on. Was this before the concert or during the concert?
00:35:46 --> 00:35:51 The time to remember? Yeah. Oh, yeah. It sounded like you had a couple times to remember. No, no.
00:35:51 --> 00:35:55 The time to remember was before the concert started. Yeah.
00:35:56 --> 00:36:00 So anyway, long story short, so when we looked at all the information going
00:36:00 --> 00:36:04 up for Sunday, you know, I will admit a lot of stuff said get there early.
00:36:04 --> 00:36:08 And, you know, Ty told us what time doors opened and said you could bring a
00:36:08 --> 00:36:10 water, a sealed water bottle in.
00:36:11 --> 00:36:15 Because, you know, the two, I guess, Friday and Saturday were really hot or
00:36:15 --> 00:36:18 hot enough. And, you know, Yankee Stadium, of course, is outside.
00:36:18 --> 00:36:23 Yeah. So anyway, so we plan to get up to New York about six.
00:36:23 --> 00:36:27 But, of course, with traffic, parking. And.
00:36:29 --> 00:36:35 I think doors opened at six. And to me, I can't remember where the concert started.
00:36:35 --> 00:36:39 I think the concert was supposed to start at 8, I think, but I'm not 100%.
00:36:40 --> 00:36:43 So anyway, so we get up there. We're probably up there about 7, 8.
00:36:44 --> 00:36:48 Dave, when I say it's a million people outside, because you already know how black people like to do.
00:36:48 --> 00:36:53 So, I mean, of course, you're the black people who had tickets and you had the
00:36:53 --> 00:36:57 black people who are kind of going out there to, you know, do some parking lot
00:36:57 --> 00:37:03 pimping, you know, or baseball field pimping, just hang out, you know, whatever.
00:37:03 --> 00:37:09 And the other thing I really didn't realize, Dave, Yankee Stadium is smack dab
00:37:09 --> 00:37:10 in the middle of the city.
00:37:11 --> 00:37:15 Yeah, I couldn't believe it. But I saw where I saw where it was.
00:37:15 --> 00:37:18 I was like, Yankee Stadium's in the middle of the city? Yeah.
00:37:19 --> 00:37:23 And I wouldn't call it hood because it wasn't like hood hood.
00:37:24 --> 00:37:29 But it was hood. But it was definitely black and brown heavy. Black and brown heavy.
00:37:30 --> 00:37:34 So anyway, so we got there about seven. Mass confusion.
00:37:35 --> 00:37:38 Because for all these people who are not from New York, never been to Yankee Stadium,
00:37:39 --> 00:37:43 it was kind of like okay what door like each door was on almost like a different
00:37:43 --> 00:37:48 side or each gate was on a different side of the field so almost like if you
00:37:48 --> 00:37:50 can imagine the outside of the stadium being like a square,
00:37:51 --> 00:37:54 you know i mean so it's like we're walking all around we don't know which door
00:37:54 --> 00:37:59 to go in which door we can't go in we're waiting in line we're seeing people
00:37:59 --> 00:38:04 jump the lines and go through the gates and climb over fences and all that you
00:38:04 --> 00:38:05 know to get into the line so.
00:38:07 --> 00:38:12 So it probably was about 8 o'clock, maybe a little after 8 o'clock.
00:38:12 --> 00:38:17 And there's a lesson to be learned in this, too. And I learned a lesson.
00:38:18 --> 00:38:24 So Yolanda and I, we are at one of the gates that is close to the doors, right?
00:38:25 --> 00:38:28 And it's a gate that's probably not going to open because it looks like they
00:38:28 --> 00:38:32 didn't have a security, a metal detector or anything like that.
00:38:33 --> 00:38:39 So we're probably, if we're standing in a single file line, we're probably 10
00:38:39 --> 00:38:42 people away from this gate, right?
00:38:43 --> 00:38:46 But, of course, imagine a crowd all around us, too.
00:38:46 --> 00:38:51 And would you believe somehow this gate opened up?
00:38:54 --> 00:38:58 I don't know how it opened. The gate opened up. And when I say these people
00:38:58 --> 00:39:01 were bum rushing through the door, like, everyone was trying.
00:39:02 --> 00:39:05 I saw the video. I saw the video. That was crazy.
00:39:06 --> 00:39:11 But you know what's crazy? Was that that one gate that you were talking about? Yes. Okay. Yeah.
00:39:11 --> 00:39:16 And I can't lie, I was pushing. Like my wife was in front of me.
00:39:16 --> 00:39:20 I was pushing her because I'm like, oh, man, let's get in. Let's get in.
00:39:20 --> 00:39:25 And then we were probably, we ended up being about three people from the entrance
00:39:25 --> 00:39:29 before that gate closed. You know what I'm saying? I helped to close it.
00:39:29 --> 00:39:32 But this is one of the lessons learned, too.
00:39:34 --> 00:39:39 So later when i saw so the the one video i sent you of people kind of,
00:39:40 --> 00:39:46 busting yeah yeah that was the gate we were at we were well if it was a straight
00:39:46 --> 00:39:49 line we were three people from coming through but it was just a crowd of people
00:39:49 --> 00:39:52 everyone trying to it's like water trying to get through a funnel
00:39:53 --> 00:39:57 right and i'll and and afterwards i was like they you know i'm glad we did not
00:39:57 --> 00:40:00 make it through that gate because we would have clearly been on video,
00:40:01 --> 00:40:05 and you want me to be on video yeah you want me to you what it reminded me of,
00:40:06 --> 00:40:12 oh not i mean uh the the january for uh january january 6th yeah and i was like
00:40:12 --> 00:40:15 damn we could have easily you know just,
00:40:15 --> 00:40:21 and i mean i'm you know they were 100 at fault for what they did but my wife
00:40:21 --> 00:40:26 and i we could have as easily been one of them people who pushed through and
00:40:26 --> 00:40:29 got through and they were on camera and you know what I mean? It's like...
00:40:29 --> 00:40:32 Yeah, but you didn't see them take anybody out. No.
00:40:33 --> 00:40:39 No, I didn't at all. Look, if you got through, they kept going. So, you know...
00:40:40 --> 00:40:43 And, you know, it's so funny because, you know, I think that's just a lesson
00:40:43 --> 00:40:46 for kids, too. Like, you got to be careful who you hang around with because
00:40:46 --> 00:40:51 sometimes you get pushed into doing stuff and you don't realize what even happened after it's over.
00:40:51 --> 00:40:58 That's true. So anyway, after that happened, they shut down the whole stadium.
00:40:58 --> 00:41:00 Nobody could get in. Nobody could get out.
00:41:01 --> 00:41:04 So, you know, and the people outside, you know, we're just standing around.
00:41:04 --> 00:41:06 We don't know what's going on.
00:41:06 --> 00:41:10 We hear that Jay-Z made an announcement that he's not going to start the show
00:41:10 --> 00:41:14 till, you know, people get in. So, you know, of course, we're relieved.
00:41:15 --> 00:41:20 But Dave, 9 o'clock, 10 o'clock, 11 o'clock.
00:41:21 --> 00:41:25 And I think 11 o'clock, we hear music start playing. And people are like,
00:41:25 --> 00:41:26 uh-oh, you know, what's going on?
00:41:27 --> 00:41:32 And Yolanda's cousin was inside. She had gone. She had her own ticket separately.
00:41:33 --> 00:41:37 And she said that they started playing music to drown out the people booing,
00:41:38 --> 00:41:42 because you know of course the people inside have been in there you know some
00:41:42 --> 00:41:47 of them been three four hours yeah i mean they we got in,
00:41:48 --> 00:41:49 about 12 30 wow.
00:41:50 --> 00:41:57 12 30 12 30 yep and i and so i know for a fact they probably started the concert
00:41:57 --> 00:42:02 maybe 11 45 12 oh so they had already started when y'all got in there Yeah.
00:42:02 --> 00:42:06 So, I mean, I think maybe a majority of people were in, because when we saw
00:42:06 --> 00:42:10 her cousin's video, you know, majority of the seats looked filled,
00:42:10 --> 00:42:13 but I'm sure there were at least 10 people still outside.
00:42:14 --> 00:42:18 And he made the announcement. He said, it's about 10 people outside.
00:42:18 --> 00:42:23 He said, and, you know, they were trying to bum rush the place and everything,
00:42:23 --> 00:42:28 you know, and I was like, you know, because he apologized about the late start and all of that stuff.
00:42:29 --> 00:42:34 Oh, man. Yeah, so we got in about 1230. So we missed seeing,
00:42:35 --> 00:42:37 who do we miss? Tiana Taylor.
00:42:37 --> 00:42:39 Okay. We missed Jermaine Dupri.
00:42:40 --> 00:42:41 We missed Jeezy.
00:42:42 --> 00:42:48 Yes. They had Atlanta in there, huh? Mm-hmm. They had all Atlanta in there, huh?
00:42:49 --> 00:42:54 Yeah, we missed them. Yeah, those are all basically Atlanta-based people right there.
00:42:54 --> 00:43:00 Yeah. We did get to see Pharrell, Beyoncé, Rihanna, The Clips,
00:43:01 --> 00:43:05 The Dream, Fat Joe, Jadakiss.
00:43:06 --> 00:43:11 Yes, I mean, we saw all the other people, but yes, I mean, it was great.
00:43:11 --> 00:43:15 Now, Dave, I'll say once we got in, that thing was packed. Well,
00:43:16 --> 00:43:21 I mean, there were some empty seats for whatever reason, but I mean,
00:43:21 --> 00:43:25 that thing was packed. And I'll say Jay-Z put on a hell of a show.
00:43:25 --> 00:43:27 It was very entertaining.
00:43:28 --> 00:43:31 And, you know, Dave, almost to a point, it's almost amazing where,
00:43:31 --> 00:43:35 of course, I mean, you've been around artists and musicians and all that.
00:43:36 --> 00:43:41 But, you know, when I think about it, it's like, man, like, how do you memorize
00:43:41 --> 00:43:44 50 songs? It's incredible. Yeah.
00:43:45 --> 00:43:47 It's like, I mean, like that really is a talent. In my mind,
00:43:47 --> 00:43:50 I was like, okay, that's why he a billionaire.
00:43:50 --> 00:43:54 You know what I mean? Just that much talent. I mean, it was a great show.
00:43:54 --> 00:43:55 The production looked great.
00:43:55 --> 00:44:02 The pyrotechnics were, you know, fired up and all that. So, I mean, it was a great show.
00:44:02 --> 00:44:07 But that five-hour wait my wife just had to say one time just an inkling that
00:44:07 --> 00:44:09 she was ready to go and I was with it,
00:44:09 --> 00:44:15 so but but she didn't but but I will say there were a lot of people that left
00:44:15 --> 00:44:19 because you know I mean when it's like getting 9 10 11 12 you first of all we
00:44:19 --> 00:44:21 we didn't even know for sure we were getting in,
00:44:22 --> 00:44:25 and then especially if there's people who had like babysitters had to go to
00:44:25 --> 00:44:29 work they're lucky you got to go to work tomorrow I mean on Monday so there
00:44:29 --> 00:44:34 were a lot of people who left, I'm curious if they were able to get their money back or how that worked.
00:44:35 --> 00:44:37 Cause you know, I mean, them, them tickets were a little pricey.
00:44:37 --> 00:44:41 So if you walked away, it wasn't, you know, they weren't like no $50 tickets.
00:44:43 --> 00:44:49 So, yeah, yeah. Well, I think that it's, you know, I saw the videos and I know
00:44:49 --> 00:44:52 there was a lot of talk about what went on and everything.
00:44:52 --> 00:44:58 So, but it was, you know, it was good that you guys got in there finally,
00:44:58 --> 00:45:02 you know, and it was definitely worth the money, you know, because I didn't
00:45:02 --> 00:45:05 realize they had all of those people. Yeah.
00:45:06 --> 00:45:12 You know, I saw, I saw clips of Rihanna. I saw clips of Pharrell, you know.
00:45:13 --> 00:45:16 But I didn't know they had all them people there.
00:45:17 --> 00:45:23 They were making jokes about Jay-Z and Rihanna because Rihanna was singing.
00:45:24 --> 00:45:25 They were doing us all together.
00:45:26 --> 00:45:30 And Rihanna kept walking towards Jay-Z, and Jay-Z kept back in.
00:45:32 --> 00:45:35 And they were talking about it online. They said, Jay-Z stayed far away from
00:45:35 --> 00:45:38 her. They said he didn't want no trouble.
00:45:38 --> 00:45:40 He didn't want no trouble, yeah.
00:45:40 --> 00:45:45 Oh, man. they would say yeah jay-z jay-z said i'm over here singing i'm i'm
00:45:45 --> 00:45:51 good i'm good over here so but that's good though man that y'all got y'all got
00:45:51 --> 00:45:55 in and that you get a chance to enjoy the show you know so,
00:45:56 --> 00:46:01 because they're saying that this might be a swan song might be a what one song
00:46:01 --> 00:46:06 you know meaning that you know he may you know this might be his last time y'all
00:46:06 --> 00:46:08 might get a chance to see him oh yeah,
00:46:09 --> 00:46:14 you know so i mean he came out he cut all his hair off you know i heard you
00:46:14 --> 00:46:19 know he cut it you know he had he had his short hair again so this guy that
00:46:19 --> 00:46:24 went from his locks to a big afro now he's back to short hair,
00:46:25 --> 00:46:30 So what's that saying, you know, back to the beginning?
00:46:32 --> 00:46:36 Yeah, maybe. Maybe. Full circle. Yeah, full circle. Yeah. We'll see.
00:46:37 --> 00:46:41 I guess we'll see. But I'm glad that you had a good time, sir.
00:46:41 --> 00:46:43 So like I said, man, busy weekend, man.
00:46:44 --> 00:46:45 I'm still tired.
00:46:46 --> 00:46:50 Did you see any, did you get close to any celebrities? Did you see anybody that you?
00:46:51 --> 00:46:57 Yes. That's the one person I saw outside, and I saw him when we first got there, Mano.
00:46:57 --> 00:47:01 I'm not sure. Oh, Mano. Yeah, he's a rapper. Yeah, I know who Mano is. Yeah.
00:47:02 --> 00:47:07 And I mean, I can't lie. In fact, I want to be sure, because I meant to go on
00:47:07 --> 00:47:11 and Google how tall he was, because this guy was probably close to six feet.
00:47:11 --> 00:47:14 And for some reason in my mind, I thought, let me Google real quick,
00:47:14 --> 00:47:18 because just out of GP, I thought he was a little bit short,
00:47:18 --> 00:47:21 Mano, and a little shorter.
00:47:21 --> 00:47:26 Yeah cause he's doing a thing with oh yep here it is six foot tall okay yep
00:47:26 --> 00:47:35 so I'm pretty sure that was him yeah cause he's on tour with Dave excuse me Dave East,
00:47:36 --> 00:47:43 Fabulous and what you call them from Dipset. Jim Jones? Jim Jones, yeah.
00:47:45 --> 00:47:51 They have that podcast. Yeah, and they're also doing like a tour together too. So, yeah, yeah.
00:47:52 --> 00:47:56 So, and Maino used to be on, what you call them?
00:47:57 --> 00:48:01 Angela. Angelus. Angie, oh yeah, the podcast.
00:48:01 --> 00:48:06 Yeah, yeah, so. But yeah. Okay, all right. That was the only person you got a chance to spot.
00:48:07 --> 00:48:11 Yeah, that's the only person. During the show, and you may have seen a clip of it, he did call out.
00:48:11 --> 00:48:15 He was like, oh, he's like, I see a couple in the audience. They came to check
00:48:15 --> 00:48:22 me out. And when it went to him, it was Glorilla and her brand. I think Brandon Ingram.
00:48:23 --> 00:48:25 Ingram, yeah. Yeah, her man.
00:48:25 --> 00:48:29 But no, I mean, other than that, I didn't see anybody I recognized.
00:48:30 --> 00:48:33 But, you know, looking through videos on that third, I mean,
00:48:33 --> 00:48:34 all the nights there were people.
00:48:35 --> 00:48:39 But that third night, I did see videos of different celebrities who were there.
00:48:39 --> 00:48:42 Yeah, I saw Al Sharpton was there. What?
00:48:42 --> 00:48:47 Yeah, they showed him walking through the corridor with his little entourage.
00:48:47 --> 00:48:51 And they said, Al Sharpton at the Jay-Z concert.
00:48:51 --> 00:48:53 Oh, wow. Okay, Al Sharpton.
00:48:54 --> 00:48:59 Yeah, yeah. That's it. Okay, all right. You know, so, hey, I wouldn't have been
00:48:59 --> 00:49:02 surprised if the Obamas wasn't there somewhere.
00:49:02 --> 00:49:05 Oh, yeah. No, definitely. Yeah, because they're close to them,
00:49:05 --> 00:49:09 so. Yeah, and they said that there were a lot of people who bought tickets for
00:49:09 --> 00:49:14 each night because, like, because each night had, like, I guess a different theme.
00:49:15 --> 00:49:20 What you call and talk about, what's the name on the Breakfast Club that does the tea stuff?
00:49:20 --> 00:49:23 Lauren LaRosa? Lauren LaRosa. She said she went all three nights.
00:49:24 --> 00:49:27 Yeah, I'm sure. Yeah, she said she was there all three nights.
00:49:27 --> 00:49:33 And then they said that, I think DJ Andy said he was there all three nights. Wow, okay. Yeah, yeah.
00:49:34 --> 00:49:38 And they were messing with Charlamagne because they said, you know,
00:49:38 --> 00:49:42 Charlamagne, they always say that Jay-Z is his favorite rapper. Oh, yeah.
00:49:43 --> 00:49:48 They mess with him all the time. So where were you in his pocket? Mm-hmm. You know?
00:49:49 --> 00:49:57 So, but, yeah. All right. Well, to be honest with you, if I had to go see somebody,
00:49:57 --> 00:50:01 that would probably be, if I had to go see a rapper, it would be him.
00:50:02 --> 00:50:06 You know? So that's my son. That's been my son's favorite rapper ever since
00:50:06 --> 00:50:08 he was a kid. That's all he talked about was Jay-Z.
00:50:09 --> 00:50:13 Even to this day, he's still a big Jay-Z. Oh, really? Yeah. So. So.
00:50:14 --> 00:50:19 All right. Okay. Well, congratulations, sir. All right.
00:50:20 --> 00:50:24 Moving on to our next story. I thought this was an interesting story.
00:50:24 --> 00:50:28 Of course, I know it hits home a little bit for you.
00:50:29 --> 00:50:34 But, you know, this just says a lot about where we are with things in the world
00:50:34 --> 00:50:37 today. And, you know, stuff like this should not be happening,
00:50:37 --> 00:50:39 especially to young people, you know.
00:50:40 --> 00:50:46 But this story, Kingsley Wilson steps down from her COVID spellment title,
00:50:46 --> 00:50:50 citing mental health concerns amid online attacks.
00:50:51 --> 00:50:56 And unfortunately, we hear a lot of stories about people, you know,
00:50:57 --> 00:51:03 dealing with mental issues because of being online and people coming at them
00:51:03 --> 00:51:07 in all kinds of ways or whatever. But this is the story.
00:51:08 --> 00:51:13 One of the two contestants from Who Was Named Code Misspellman amid controversy
00:51:13 --> 00:51:16 over scoring error has reportedly stepped down.
00:51:18 --> 00:51:24 Kinsley Wilson, in an interview with Baller Alert, said that the online attacks
00:51:24 --> 00:51:26 were affecting her mental health.
00:51:26 --> 00:51:32 I haven't felt the same since, and I just haven't felt as happy as I once was,
00:51:32 --> 00:51:33 she said in an exclusive interview.
00:51:34 --> 00:51:38 As she prepares for her senior year, she said that she felt holding on to the
00:51:38 --> 00:51:41 position was causing more harm than good.
00:51:41 --> 00:51:50 If my stepping aside can make this better, a better experience for other women, then it's 100% worth it.
00:51:51 --> 00:51:57 Wilson was initially crowned the 43rd Miss Spelman on April 11th with Jillian
00:51:57 --> 00:51:59 Collier named first runner-up.
00:52:00 --> 00:52:08 Officials later said a post-paget review found a technical discrepancy in the scoring process.
00:52:08 --> 00:52:15 After recalculating results, the college determined Collier had earned the highest overall score.
00:52:16 --> 00:52:21 In a statement to 11 Alive at the time, Spelman said it was overhauling protocols
00:52:21 --> 00:52:26 and apologizing for a mistake, adding that it was working to ensure a similar
00:52:26 --> 00:52:27 error does not occur again.
00:52:28 --> 00:52:30 During the competition, seven.
00:52:32 --> 00:52:38 Contestants were evaluated on talent, interview, poise, and an overall composite score.
00:52:39 --> 00:52:43 Ms. Spelman serves as an official student ambassador for Spelman College,
00:52:44 --> 00:52:52 representing the women's HBCU to the prospective students, donors, and at-campus event.
00:52:53 --> 00:52:59 The college said it would move forward with co-Ms. Spelman title holders for
00:52:59 --> 00:53:02 2026, which would have been both of the young ladies.
00:53:03 --> 00:53:08 In the statement obtained by 11 Alive, Collier says she vehemently disagrees
00:53:08 --> 00:53:14 with the co-queen decision, calling it unfair and unjust, and says she feels
00:53:14 --> 00:53:16 she is being cheated out of the title.
00:53:17 --> 00:53:18 Well, she ended up with the title.
00:53:20 --> 00:53:26 So, kind of like a lot going on there. But then I kind of did a little bit of
00:53:26 --> 00:53:32 digging and kind of noticed that it also came down to some of the old-fashioned stuff.
00:53:32 --> 00:53:36 You remember Do the Right Thing, the colorism stuff and all that stuff? Oh, yeah.
00:53:36 --> 00:53:41 Yeah, because Collier is a lighter-skinned person.
00:53:41 --> 00:53:44 The person, Kinsley, was...
00:53:47 --> 00:53:52 Of darker persuasion. She's an AKA too. Of course, she had her army behind her,
00:53:52 --> 00:53:57 you know, of course, you know. But they said, you know.
00:53:59 --> 00:54:02 It doesn't appear the girls were ever friends, you know, so.
00:54:03 --> 00:54:06 But it came down to a popularity thing as well.
00:54:06 --> 00:54:11 So it's really, you know, when you look at these pageants, like I look at some
00:54:11 --> 00:54:14 of the clips of the pageants that they have at some of these schools,
00:54:14 --> 00:54:20 it'd be intense man you know and i'll be like i'll be like wow i mean,
00:54:21 --> 00:54:26 that's a lot to put that's a lot to go through you know to get that crown and
00:54:26 --> 00:54:30 then you got to deal with everything and see it's one thing if you do this 30
00:54:30 --> 00:54:33 40 years ago when you don't have social media yeah,
00:54:34 --> 00:54:38 you know because all you got to deal with is the whisper amongst the people
00:54:38 --> 00:54:40 after the contest is over,
00:54:41 --> 00:54:46 But with social media now, it's not just your school and your friends reading
00:54:46 --> 00:54:48 it. Everybody's reading it now.
00:54:48 --> 00:54:52 Everybody's reading it. With some of it, people can Google your name and some
00:54:52 --> 00:54:54 of that social media stuff still come up.
00:54:54 --> 00:55:00 Right. And then, of course, it can affect you as far as your future,
00:55:00 --> 00:55:02 as far as your employment and all that kind of stuff.
00:55:02 --> 00:55:06 Because it all depends on how you handle the situation as to what,
00:55:07 --> 00:55:11 you know, employers might say and whether or not they want to bring you into their company because,
00:55:12 --> 00:55:15 you know, they're going to be looking at, can you play nice with others,
00:55:15 --> 00:55:18 you know, or can you do this or can you do that, you know?
00:55:19 --> 00:55:23 So, or you're going to be a problem child because you, you know,
00:55:23 --> 00:55:29 were seen to be a person that had issues with this. So...
00:55:30 --> 00:55:33 You know, I know you have a daughter that's going to go to college.
00:55:33 --> 00:55:39 Would you want her to get into these type of pageants or anything like that?
00:55:39 --> 00:55:42 Or what do you think about these pageants overall anyway?
00:55:43 --> 00:55:47 And you went to HBCU, so you've seen, I know things are different now,
00:55:47 --> 00:55:49 but you saw how they were when you were in school.
00:55:50 --> 00:55:53 I mean, to be honest, I don't see anything wrong with the pageants.
00:55:53 --> 00:55:57 You know, I mean, I feel like we've done pageants forever, And,
00:55:57 --> 00:56:00 I mean, they're not necessarily a bad thing.
00:56:00 --> 00:56:04 You know, I think kind of like just like sports. You know, the pageants teach
00:56:04 --> 00:56:09 you a lot. Winning, losing, sportsmanship, dedication, determination,
00:56:09 --> 00:56:14 consistency, never giving up. You know, so, I mean, I don't see anything wrong with the pageants.
00:56:15 --> 00:56:21 But, I mean, I do think that having two Miss Spelman's, you know,
00:56:22 --> 00:56:24 to be honest, even when they did it. And I think we talked about it then.
00:56:24 --> 00:56:26 It just seemed like a recipe for disaster.
00:56:27 --> 00:56:34 You know now with that said the lady who did drop out and was kind of speaking.
00:56:35 --> 00:56:39 I you know i don't think it's necessary i mean it's kind of hard because you
00:56:39 --> 00:56:41 have people who are really passionate about stuff,
00:56:42 --> 00:56:48 but to let's say ridicule her so much that she may have mental health issues
00:56:48 --> 00:56:50 or she needs a mental health timeout,
00:56:51 --> 00:56:56 you know i i think that was a little too much yeah so so well with that said
00:56:56 --> 00:56:57 hopefully people will learn,
00:56:58 --> 00:57:04 let's not have co co co pageant people like let's just have a winner and you
00:57:04 --> 00:57:08 know at least if you lose or you come in second you accept that and you move
00:57:08 --> 00:57:12 on but i i felt like being a co,
00:57:13 --> 00:57:14 and maybe not the favorite co,
00:57:15 --> 00:57:19 you know now you're just ridiculed almost you know like it doesn't die down
00:57:19 --> 00:57:20 it just I'll see you next time.
00:57:21 --> 00:57:26 Keeps up well you figure it the only way that can work is if you guys are
00:57:26 --> 00:57:31 besties you know and you guys do everything together and you guys can make it
00:57:31 --> 00:57:34 work because you have a good relationship with each other but it doesn't appear
00:57:35 --> 00:57:37 to have that kind of relationship right,
00:57:37 --> 00:57:42 and so quite naturally for them to try to make something like that work.
00:57:43 --> 00:57:47 It does definitely becomes a popularity contest And you're definitely going
00:57:47 --> 00:57:49 to have somebody who's going to,
00:57:50 --> 00:57:54 you know, you're going to have these people who's going to be in like Collier's
00:57:54 --> 00:57:58 corner and then you're going to have people that's in Kingsley's corner.
00:57:58 --> 00:58:03 But it all depends on how popular you are as far as how much weight it's going
00:58:03 --> 00:58:07 to carry. And then do you really want to deal with all this drama going into
00:58:07 --> 00:58:08 your senior year? Right.
00:58:09 --> 00:58:13 You know, you're trying to get you didn't come there. You didn't come there
00:58:13 --> 00:58:19 to to to to be popular. You came there to get education.
00:58:19 --> 00:58:24 So, you know, why mess up, you know, get yourself in such a state,
00:58:24 --> 00:58:28 a crazy state of mind that you.
00:58:29 --> 00:58:33 Affect yourself this year because, I mean, if things got too crazy,
00:58:34 --> 00:58:38 you know, she probably would have had to drop out for a period of time to get
00:58:38 --> 00:58:41 herself together, you know?
00:58:41 --> 00:58:46 And Lord forbid it would have gotten worse, like she injures herself,
00:58:46 --> 00:58:47 you know, anything like that.
00:58:47 --> 00:58:52 Yeah, because, you know, we've done too many stories over the years about suicide
00:58:52 --> 00:58:54 and these young people, you know, dying, you know?
00:58:55 --> 00:58:58 And Dave, if you remember, quite a few of them being in the beauty industry,
00:58:58 --> 00:59:05 models, I mean, you know, so it's kind of like they're not above,
00:59:06 --> 00:59:09 you know, us, you know, being appropriate with them as well.
00:59:10 --> 00:59:15 That's true. That's true. So I hope their parents.
00:59:16 --> 00:59:22 Well, her parents especially, are helping her get through this and steering
00:59:22 --> 00:59:25 her in the right direction and trying to keep her focused.
00:59:25 --> 00:59:28 Because the prize is not the crown.
00:59:28 --> 00:59:34 The prize is the degree and your dignity.
00:59:35 --> 00:59:37 So yes, definitely.
00:59:38 --> 00:59:45 All right. Well, that brings us to Leonard's favorite part of the show.
00:59:45 --> 00:59:49 I figured I'd take it easy on him this week. I'm not going to give him something
00:59:49 --> 00:59:57 hard to think about or something, you know, that would tax his brain like I usually do. So.
01:00:00 --> 01:00:04 But we got the new Spider-Man movie.
01:00:04 --> 01:00:08 Have you seen the previews for this? I have not. Oh, man, it looks pretty hot,
01:00:08 --> 01:00:12 man. You know, that's why they said this could be the best one yet.
01:00:12 --> 01:00:16 You know, and they got the Hulk in this one, too. Oh, do they? Yeah.
01:00:17 --> 01:00:19 And Spider-Man's fighting the Hulk. Oh, wow.
01:00:20 --> 01:00:23 Yeah, so, and they got the Punisher, and Punisher is in it, too.
01:00:24 --> 01:00:27 So, it looks like... Is the same Punisher from the Marvel movie?
01:00:27 --> 01:00:31 Yeah, that's on the series. The same guy, yeah, yeah. Hold on,
01:00:31 --> 01:00:35 from the movie or the series? Oh, yeah, the Punisher from the Marvel comics?
01:00:36 --> 01:00:39 No, from, because you know there was a Punisher movie.
01:00:40 --> 01:00:45 Right, but there's also a Punisher series on Disney.
01:00:45 --> 01:00:49 Okay. The guy that plays that Punisher is in the movie. Gotcha,
01:00:49 --> 01:00:55 okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, I'm trying to think, what's it going to play the Punisher in the movie?
01:00:55 --> 01:00:57 It was a different person that played him, yeah.
01:00:58 --> 01:01:02 I can't remember who it was, but it wasn't this guy. So, okay. Gotcha.
01:01:03 --> 01:01:06 Well, anyway, so in light of the new Spider-Man coming out.
01:01:08 --> 01:01:18 I asked a simple question and give me your top five most popular Marvel superheroes
01:01:18 --> 01:01:20 of all time in your estimation.
01:01:20 --> 01:01:25 Are you saying, so the question says the top five Marvel superheroes.
01:01:25 --> 01:01:29 Right, but this is your top five. Oh, my top five. Yeah. Yeah.
01:01:30 --> 01:01:31 I mean, you know.
01:01:34 --> 01:01:36 They of course have their top five, but I want to hear what you're doing.
01:01:36 --> 01:01:40 I'm going to say what their top five was, but I want to hear what yours is.
01:01:41 --> 01:01:43 And start with number five. Start with number five and go to one.
01:01:44 --> 01:01:49 Are we going off of the comic books? Are we going off of... No,
01:01:49 --> 01:01:51 you're going to go... No, we're not going... No, this...
01:01:51 --> 01:01:57 We're not breaking it down to movies or comic books. This is like, you know...
01:01:58 --> 01:02:03 You basically heard about all these guys from the comic books to start out with,
01:02:03 --> 01:02:06 you know, so... Yeah, well, I just said...
01:02:07 --> 01:02:13 Well, I say that because one of, I wasn't a big so-and-so fan until the movies.
01:02:13 --> 01:02:18 Until the movie, yeah, well, okay. I mean, that implores you. Here are my five.
01:02:19 --> 01:02:20 Okay. Start with number five.
01:02:21 --> 01:02:23 Oh, in no particular order, though.
01:02:23 --> 01:02:27 Oh, you don't have a, no, I was going to say, go from your, you know,
01:02:27 --> 01:02:33 your fifth to your first favorite. All right, well, here, let me write them down so I can.
01:02:33 --> 01:02:36 Because I know you're going to say some weird ones in a few minutes, so.
01:02:36 --> 01:02:40 Yeah, you always go left on these kind of questions, so.
01:02:55 --> 01:03:02 Okay, number five. Okay, there we go. Spider-Man. Okay, number five is Spider-Man. Okay, all right.
01:03:03 --> 01:03:05 Number four, Thor.
01:03:06 --> 01:03:10 Okay. Number three, Iron Man.
01:03:10 --> 01:03:17 Okay. Number two, Black Panther. All right. Number one.
01:03:18 --> 01:03:25 Cap. Wow. Okay. Captain America. Yeah. That was, that was your favorite. Yeah. Okay. All right.
01:03:25 --> 01:03:29 Yeah. That's interesting. Cap would be your favorite. But, you know,
01:03:30 --> 01:03:33 in the comic books and in the movies. Really? Yeah.
01:03:33 --> 01:03:36 That's interesting. That, that, I'm really shocked about that. Yeah.
01:03:37 --> 01:03:42 Wow. You, you thought I was going to say Black Panther because I'm black? No, no, no, no.
01:03:43 --> 01:03:46 But I had a feeling he'd be in your top five. I didn't think he would be your
01:03:46 --> 01:03:47 number one guy though. Yeah.
01:03:48 --> 01:03:51 So, Okay, all right. All right, David, what about you?
01:03:51 --> 01:03:57 Can you name your top five favorite Marvel superheroes of all time,
01:03:58 --> 01:04:03 starting with your fifth favorite to your number one favorite?
01:04:03 --> 01:04:07 All right, and I'm going to go with my personal list.
01:04:08 --> 01:04:13 Number five would be Luke Cage. You said popular.
01:04:14 --> 01:04:18 Well, Luke Cage back then was very popular. You were not popular back then.
01:04:18 --> 01:04:22 Yes he was you don't know you don't know nothing about luke cage you can't talk
01:04:22 --> 01:04:25 about him you don't know nothing about him hey hey news and trends fan dave
01:04:25 --> 01:04:29 said i'll come off the wall dave's coming off the wall here okay dave okay,
01:04:30 --> 01:04:36 power man power man was a big time power man that's what he was called power
01:04:36 --> 01:04:39 okay i thought i was number four i was like who is tower man.
01:04:40 --> 01:04:45 This is i know you don't know nothing about luke cage you don't know that was
01:04:45 --> 01:04:49 because you said popular no oh my god here we go okay,
01:04:50 --> 01:04:55 luke cage was the man back in the day i'm telling you and he was like the first
01:04:55 --> 01:04:59 black superhero that i really identified with,
01:04:59 --> 01:05:07 you know so before black panther okay so i mean what afro man you didn't you
01:05:07 --> 01:05:10 didn't identify with afro man anyway number.
01:05:12 --> 01:05:14 Number four,
01:05:15 --> 01:05:20 My guy at number four would be Sub-Mariner. Okay, okay.
01:05:20 --> 01:05:24 I was a big Sub-Mariner fan coming up. So I didn't like the way they did him,
01:05:26 --> 01:05:30 in the Wakanda Forever movie. I thought they could have done more with him.
01:05:30 --> 01:05:32 But Sub-Mariner was definitely the man.
01:05:34 --> 01:05:40 Number three, I'm going to go with, you know, it's kind of a toss-up there.
01:05:41 --> 01:05:45 I like, number three, I like both Thor and The Hulk.
01:05:46 --> 01:05:50 I liked them both I would put both of them in that spot Okay, so you like talk.
01:05:53 --> 01:05:56 Yeah, yeah I liked them both the same So Thor and Hulk,
01:05:58 --> 01:05:59 Number two,
01:06:02 --> 01:06:09 Number two was the original Captain Marvel Is that a female or a male?
01:06:09 --> 01:06:17 It was a male, the original one He was Marvel's answer to Superman at that point. Yeah.
01:06:19 --> 01:06:20 Number one...
01:06:22 --> 01:06:24 I got to have a 1A.
01:06:26 --> 01:06:29 Well, Dave, actually, you've already named five people. I know,
01:06:29 --> 01:06:30 I know. So you're done. You're done.
01:06:31 --> 01:06:35 Your number one doesn't even matter now. Number one is Iron Man. Okay.
01:06:37 --> 01:06:40 And who's your 1A? Spider-Man. Okay.
01:06:41 --> 01:06:46 Spider-Man. So, see, this is what I have to deal with. Dave asked me about top
01:06:46 --> 01:06:50 five, and you just know that he listed seven characters here.
01:06:51 --> 01:06:53 Eight if you say Tower Man.
01:06:54 --> 01:07:00 Tower Man and Luke Cage are the same person, man. I know. Okay. I know now. Okay.
01:07:02 --> 01:07:07 But, you know, those are my guys. Let me just tell you what,
01:07:08 --> 01:07:13 yeah, this is off of what Marvel, this is what Marvel says.
01:07:14 --> 01:07:18 At number five, they have the Hulk as their most popular superhero.
01:07:19 --> 01:07:22 Then number four was Wolverine, believe it or not.
01:07:23 --> 01:07:25 Number three was Captain America.
01:07:26 --> 01:07:30 Number two was Iron Man. Who do you think their number one is?
01:07:32 --> 01:07:36 Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America.
01:07:36 --> 01:07:41 No, I said, I started out with Hulk. Then I said, then I said Wolverine,
01:07:42 --> 01:07:45 Captain America. Then Iron Man was number two.

01:08:09 --> 01:08:11 Doctor Strange, and Black Widow.
01:08:12 --> 01:08:16 So, okay. It's a nice list. Okay.
